Very upset that they rushed my 6yr olds "Happy Birthday" song. The sparkler went out as soon as he put the cake down so no "make a wish", I couldn't even get a picture of the sparkler lit. I have a video

This is the coolest place!!! The food is wonderful, so is service. The bathrooms are clean. The staff is so kind, and work together. Their management is awesome and works beside their employees 100%, they were always going to tables asking if anyone needed anything, and would go and get it themselves, very friendly family oriented place. Will definitely go back. Thanks for the awesome time

Service was horrible. Starting from the front, employees were very unprofessional and rude. They told us the wait would be between 20-30 minutes and after over 45 minutes of waiting, we asked about our table and they told us another 25 minutes . Also, they do not follow COVID protocols here. I would not recommend coming here.

This is a tourist trap. Food is overpriced. 5 star prices for 2 star food. The entertainment for the children is nice. For a dinner for 2 adults and 2 children...expect to pay more than 100 bucks easily.

Place was great a few years ago, but it went downhill fast. Wait times are terrible and the staff has become rude. Shame, it started out so good. It's become a trap now that is only interested in entertaining tourists.

When you walk in the decor excites and envelopes all of your senses. It literally is stepping into another world. The atmosphere is unlike any dining experience in America. Definitely a must-do at least once. The food is a different story...the food is disappointing-especially for the price! The drinks are expensive! Everything is ridiculously overpriced. I had the Island Sampler with loaded mashed potatoes ($29), hubby had Steak and shrimp with loaded mashed potatoes ($29) and baby had kids meal. The *best* thing about Rainforest Cafe is the "Volcano" dessert (a whopping $16 but worth every penny!!!). That in itself matches the amazingness of Rainforest Cafe decor experience. But food.....go to Whataburger instead.

Big portions! Because this restaurant is a destination stop, you will need to allow 2 hr wait time during peak hours. The best bet is to become a Landrys Select member to get priority seating before you visit.

The wait staff was great and the management is visible and accessible.

Over priced - between the food and the ride that lasted all of 5 minutes for $32 for me my wife, and our 3 kids. It's amazing what you'll waste money on for your kids. Waited 20 min for dining and ended up sitting right on the other side of the bar where we could've eaten without a wait.

Mediocre food, but the experience is for the kids. Really loud in there. Volcanic eruptions are cool. The volcano erupts every half hour. The only Rainforest location that does this. Now, in summer, they have magic show, fire eater, and last year, the BEST Michael Jackson impersonator EVER! I hope he comes back this year. Caricatures too. The adventure ride is good for younger children. Lame for over the age of 5 or 6.

This place is amazing! Family friendly! People of all ages! There is a ride inside and usually games and entertainment outside. There is a variety of choices for food and drinks. Kind of pricey but it's worth it. Magic shows and balloon animals were to be seen on our safari adventure today(while we waited for our food). The frog mascot is adorable and full of character.

Tried to book an online reservation but it wouldn't work. Thanks to my hard headed husband, we went by to see if they were open despite my arguing they were closed.
I am glad we did. It was an hour long wait but we got to sit in our car and received a text when the table was ready. Food came out quickly, correctly and delectable.

This is the best Rainforest cafe in the state of Texas. Kids love it. If you enter from the back , be sure to go outside in the front. The ride at this restaurant is a must for kids. My grandson wants to do it every year when we visit Galveston. The food is pricey and average at it s best but we go for the atmosphere here for the kids. The wait can be very long to be seated even if you are a member. The waiters/waitresses always seem in a hurry and often make mistakes because they seem stressed out. The volcano desert is worth the trip and feeds at least 5 people.

You feel like you're in a rainforest, they have a thunderstorm effect too. The Executive Chef came out to talk to me and take my order because I'm GF, and it was amazing! They really care for their customers!!

To feed a family of four. Get ready For at least a 175 bill. You're paying for the themed experience mainly. Second time we have been there and the food quality has went down. And they are usually very busy so be ready for a wait.

Usually I would not choose to eat here because I don't like to wait very long to be seated and as a teacher, I like to get away from my work occasionally...lol. But this is one of the few places on the island where your can get a semi vegan meal. They offer a garbanzo bean burger. I know that may not sound exciting or even appetizing, but it was really good for vegan food in the sea of meat eaters. Of course the bun is sourdough. It comes with a pickle and a side. We had fries. The wait for a table was about 2 hours, so we opted to eat in the bar.. food was out in 20 minutes which is great considering how busy they were. Location is good, right on the seawall. If your don't mind the loud atmosphere with jungle noises and big crowds, I highly recommend the place. They even have a build-a- bear workshop. Who can resist that, especially if you have little ones.

This is a fun place to eat, this was my first time back in a few years. It's huge, you have the animals go off every 15 minutes and the thunderstorm every 30 minutes. There is a gift shop and a ride and tons of stuff to look at, staff is wonderful and polite. The food is good, it's not top notch cuisine but it's good. Their chicken fried chicken is really yummy and the red skinned mashed potatoes are surprisingly exceptional. It's just a fun and unique place to take the family and everyone should check it out at least once. Good meal, awesome atmosphere, fun ride and sweet employee's

Rainforest Cafe is my favorite place to go when I'm in Galveston. I always get the appetizer that has chicken strips and egg rolls cheese sticks and so much more it's enough to feed two people. It has fish tanks all over the place lots of exotic sounds with monkeys Birds it's a wonderful place to take kids to. If you've never been there check it out.

Mainly going for the atmosphere. Food is mediocre. Quite busy, but to be expected. Would recommend if you are a traveler/tourist, spend the time for Galveston and the culture around. Plenty of other Rainforest Cafes around.

Everything here is delicious and there's a fun boat ride you and your family can take after your meal. There's also a gift shop with a build-a-bear animal section that's fun for the kiddos.

the price was more expensive than it should have been for the food served
the ambiance is quixotic though, the kids were entertained by the decor.

Overall we had a good time. When we arrived they said an hour wait. We shopped around for about 40 minutes. I checked with host. She said we still have an hour. We almost left, but we stayed and ate. The food was delicious. We ate every bite. My Penelope got her face painted. Dont forget to get the volcano dessert. The waiter kept disappearing.

Cute for the kids but very expensive.

Lunch for 5 was over $107... 4 burgers and a basket of chicken strips... before noon, no appetizers either.

Our waiter was very nice, not his fault that the food took so long to come, he checked back frequently to see how things were.

Only thing we didn't like was that one person got us to the table, one got us the menus, a different one the drinks, a fourth person brought them to the table and third person comes back to take our ordera 5th came and told us he was our server and then a 6th person comes and ask us again. I almost forgot, a 7th person got us the check. Hey, but when it was time to sing the happy birthday to the kid on the next table, only two guys showed up.

I thought the wait time was bad until we decided to go on their little water ride. Missed our table while waiting over an hour for the ride. They weren't filling the "boat" up, they'd send 2 people on some. We did get lucky enough to finally get a table but the Paradise Pot Roast was the worst food I have ever had at a restaurant.

Entirely over priced for mediocre food. I got the aloha salmon and it was burnt on one side and the sauce was extremely sweet. My husband's steak was tough. The only good thing was the spinach artichoke dip.

It was so good I had the Rasta pasta and it comes with grilled chicken and you can choose pesto sauce or Alfredo sauce I also added shrimp which was sooo good and the river ride was so fun we got to keep these light up cups I really think you should eat there.
