You're paying a premium on ok quality food in order to have the experience/atmosphere. When we went their was a lot of customer engagement with a magician and frog-costumed employee... which as a massive introvert really stressed me out.

Fun place for families, kids loved the ride and everything gong on. Very loud inside...loud music, lots of people and noisy animatronics (try not to sit next to the waterfall in the back). Food was fine, but clearly your paying for the experience.
We got in relatively fast. Good atmosphere with good exclusive drink selection. The food quality was excellent and very tasty. The service needed to be a bit more attentive. A bit expensive as to be expected at about any Landry's restaurant. A good experience but could be a bit more on par with other Rain Forest Cafe's.
As usual the atmosphere in the Rain Forest Cafe never disappoints! They had face painting, magic shows, and balloon making coming around to all the tables, which was very entertaining to watch. Our server Nyam or "Emoji" as he called himself was brand new today and although nervous, was some of the best service we've had in a while!! The managers came around checking on customers multiple times and the food and appetizers were all great quality! This was our best meal in Galveston during our trip! Kudo's to RFC!!
Expensive $$$ terrible service. Wewent here with 2 other people for my birthday and we waited 10 minutes for the server to greet us at our table and that was only after speaking with 2 other servers asking them to have our server come to the table. We ended up placing our order right away because we weren't sure how long it would take for our server to come back. About 20 minutes later I pulled the manager aside and told him that the service was not up to par and he said he would push the order out asap. We then waited 10 more minutes for the food to come out and they didn't even bring the appetizer until after we received the meal. Ridiculous. The waiter didn't come by the table to check on us again until we were through with the meal. All that being said, the manager didn't charge us for the appetizer and he took $25 off the meal because I'm a Landrys rewards member and was going to use my $25 birthday discount. They took care of the issue but if this had been a Papa's restaurant they would've comped the whole meal for this kind of service. The quality of the food isn't good for the price. The salmon was over cooked and the green beans were under cooked. The only things reasonably priced are the kids menu items.
Very very fun experience!! The wait was WELL WORTH IT!! I've never been to a Rainforest Cafe before, and I am SO GLAD we chose this to be the first one we visited! Looks super cool on both the outside and inside as it is rainforest themed. There's a gift shop you can go in and shop as soon as you walk in. Our waiter, Tyler B. was the nicest guy with THE BEST personality! He made us laugh the whole time. Food is pricey and not as good as I hoped, but not bad either. Every 30 minutes they do a little thunderstorm show which I thought was SUPER COOL! I will recomend them place to anyone who asks! Thank you guys for the best experience!
First time at The Rainforest Cafe. The scenic atmosphere was awesome!!! Food was good but expensive. Service was great. Wait was long but we figured it would be. I went for the experience. We will probably never go back because it's so expensive but it was a nice memory!
Absolutely the best atmosphere for the family! They even have a river ride to enjoy! Tip if you went the the pleasure pier and have a bracelet to ride the attractions if will be accepted there at the Rainforest Cafe!
Ate there 7-1-2020. Food was not good. We have eaten at this place before here and at other locations. Very disappointed. This is our last time eating there.
My daughter had never been.... she's 16. Her brothers have been several times and they always enjoy it.... their 26 and 22! Well she loved it. The food was excellent. Very fresh. We even rode on the water ride! Great place for kidos and happy adults
Over rated the Waitress smelled like an ashtray was very rude food ordered the Amazon feast and ribs where over cooked and really chewy rotisserie chicken was dry fry where mushy. I definently would not recommend this place gave the plate to my dog when I got home he loved it so i guess that's a plus would have gave 0 stars but wouldn't let me post this unless I put one
The service was very good, dining and restrooms were clean but the food is average at best. The kids will probably love the environment and gift store. Truthfully it's as dark as a cave and horrifically loud due to the music, miscellaneous jungle sounds and running water. After the third or forth obnoxious pop song you might be tempted to drown yourself in the waterfall. But the kids will love it and no one will care that your trip to the plastic jungle cost 100 bucks.
How do u give it less than 1star?!! Worst experience ever..not only did we wait three hours for a table.. the manager anton or whatever was so rude and blamed my child when he found something in his food.. smh my son didn t even eat because of that.. he didn t offer to take it off nor remake it.. smh.. and was so unprofessional!!! The server wasn t even good.. the food was horrible!! Smdh!! Calling corporate everyday til they make it right!!
Food - 5, ambiance - 5, table service - 5. It's a great place to take the family or a date. The gift shop it awesome and not too expensive. If you like the beanie animals they are super affordable. Go, have fun, have food, be happy.
We were there during off-season. It was not crowded at all but could not find staff. Once we were seated, again, we had to walk around to find somebody to wait on us. The food was okay. We mainly go to let the kids look around so we will probably go back.
Absolutely love this place. It is well worth going just for the atmosphere, but the food is great and the staff has always been very friendly and wonderful. If you want a fun place to take the family for good food and great atmosphere, this is it. Be warned, it's a bit on the expensive side. Will still highly recommend.
Food was okay but the entertainment was awesome!!!! I liked the atmosphere. Service was nice, there was a 30min wait, but they have entertainment inside and out for the family. Definitely will visit again.
Great place to stare at creature butt and if you want food poisoning with fantastically uncaring mangers who wouldn't refund our money, or even give us a ice cream to say sorry and here's my way of changing bad customer service! Why would we want another of the bad bacon burger? SERVICE IS OUT THE DOOR
Poorly-made, flavorless food. Mediocre service. Unnecessarily loud music and atmosphere. If I could give it zero stars, I would. Paid way too much for the quality of the food. Could have made better at home.
Fun, atmospheric restaurant with crowded trees and vines and animatronics trumpeting every time "lightning" flashes and "thunder" booms. Client turnover is so rapid that you may wonder if your table actually got cleaned. We had a large aquarium at our table to enchant my granddaughters, and the seafood was rich and unique to that restaurant. The boat ride was fun and not too scary for children, and we bought some great rainforest and safari Dr. Seuss books never found before.
Atmosphere is the name of the game. Unique dining experience, especially for kids. Can be overwhelming for babies or children with special needs (lots of loud noises & plenty of overstimulation). Food was pretty good; not a big menu but they do have a little bit of everything, and the kids menu included healthy options. Nice sized gift shop at restaurant entrance (toys, adult/kids clothes, etc). Also have indoor boat ride through animated rainforest - a little outdated for year 2021, but still interesting (kids enjoyed it). Not a cheap night (spent $320 for 5 meals/drinks, 2 adult shirts, a toy & 4 boat ride passes), but everyone had a good time.
A pre-cruise tradition for our family. Excellent food and the grands get a kick out of the decor and thunderstorm "show". The coconut curry sauce is to die for! I'm not a coconut OR curry fan, but I'd drink this stuff!
Today was a crowded day but atmosphere was good overall. I got the Pastalaya and finished it with the famous Volcano Ice Cream! Definitely worth the wait time
Always enjoyed our dinner at rainforest cafe. The water fall, thunder and the sounds of animals gives us feeling that we are in real rainforest. Their lava cake with the fire cracker on it is the best. First time i ordered their beyond burger and fall in love with it. It was so good, it's a plant based patty burger.
Omg, I don't even have words to describe how amazing the service here was, like literally. Our waiter was absolutely amazing, her name was Kayla and she was just so good. She was super friendly, and she kept making sure we were all set. She kept checking back in to make sure we were all set, and to give us updates about our food and drinks and whatnot. Not only was she amazing, but yhe entire staff was so good at making sure the entire restaurant ran smoothly. The food was nothing to sneeze at, but the service was just so good.
The atmosphere at the restaurant is fun & inviting. The decor is very detailed. It's a little loud & there is a lot going on. So, if you get overwhelmed easily, this might not be a good place for you. Our food was hot, tasty & served in a timely manner. The wait staff was very pleasant. I will definitely return.
We love this location! We always visit when we go to Galveston. Fast seating, food was delicious, and many scenic spots to take pictures. My kids love the Build a Bear Workshop inside the restaurant as well!!
