Raging Waves Waterpark Review

Raginv waves waterpark is a fun place to spend a day with you family! Has alot of slides and also a big lazy river, including 1 wave pool. Such a big place but wTer slides are spreaded throughout the whole park

A really enjoyable place for tourists and people who live near it! They should have some more rides, but you can easily spend a couple days there without becoming bored.

Well it's Illinois largest water park!! We loved it.. Son was if'y bout the big slides, broke that with the cyclone.. Then he was all about the big slides!! We will be going back before we move!!

Fun waterpark, friendly employees, and the lines weren't too long. The wave pool is one of the best I've experienced. Nice variety of water slides too!

My first and last time going there. At the wave pool is where everyone stays and when I was about to go in there were workers in a triangle shape and they were blocking the people. So they can PICK up feces (poop) IN THE WAVE POOL. They did not shut it down nor tell anyone to get out of the pool while "it" was contaminating the water. So disgusted. Would never want to go back to the place. It wasn't even baby poop, it was a kid or a grown person.

It was actually clean, and not to crowded given the number of people there. Their computerized loxker system is great!

Really fun place with great slides and really extreme and fun wave pool, the lazy river was also really great! My favorite slide was the tornado one had a really good time on that in fact I went 5 times!!!!

My first visit to Raging Waves did not disappoint! HEADS UP Check Groupon for tickets, we paid a reasonably cheaper price than a regular ticket and it was easy to just enter with your Groupon mobile app.

As far as the park goes, I ve never seen more attentive life guards at any other water park. (And I grew up in Wisconsin and spent many summers in the Wisconsin Dells). Much appreciation to the staff who are dedicated to safety.

I would have rated the park 5 stars, however the body slides were closed on a perfectly sunny 85/90 degree day. For no apparent reason. In addition to that, children are allowed to run through the lazy river splashing, bumping, pushing, and every 2 minuets you will hear the lifeguards scold the activity but never take action. Parking is free and you are able to leave the park to eat a packed lunch in your car.

*Note: we came on a Wednesday in July. It was relatively busy, however I could see overcrowding becoming an issue on weekends. Even on a week day we spent more than 40 minuets in line for a slide.

Overall a nice experience!

This place is amazing so many fun rides however you have to wait in long lines for some of them the is a wave pool and a kiddy pool and their is a good price fun for everyone

It is fun there I like how they have slides there the new slides are fun.

So refreshing on a 90 degree day to be here with my sister, daughter, and grandkids. The lazy river was somewhat congested in spots but that's to be expected on a day like this. I like sitting at the top end of the wave pool and just chatting with everyone. 3 hours was just about right for this 70 year old Grandma. Swim passes make great Christmas gifts the kids and grandkids.

Long lines and a bit pricy but a whole lot of fun as long as you have a friend or two with you.

This is a fun place. It's very expensive and outside food and drinks can't be brought in. That makes it even more pricey. But it has many fun areas.

I love my experience here. I'm definitely coming back in the summer

I try to relax but every second I hear the whistle of the employees which really bothers me so try to make the water park more relaxing and add a hot tub.

Very clean workers very very polite and lines are not to long go at least 4 times a month you won't regret plus 24 dollars on groupon

This place is THE BEST I'VE BEEN HERE ITS THE BEST it's a safe place they have great respect and food and it's not a lot of money and have great water slides I love raging waves a lot and it's kinda like a beach because they have sand and if you have tickets then you have it for FREE! They have a lot of seats and they are cumfey I love raging waves a lot. .

So many things to do it was so exciting. It's also a great place if you have children they have areas just for kids as well. It's a great place to visit on vacation as well. The best part about it is that it's cost efficient.

Park was very clean, lots of things to do for kids of all ages. Comfortable for the parents, you don't have to feel like you have to run after your kids all the time. Great place to relax or have a blast with all the amenities.

It be expensive dudddee but otherwise it a good water park. It could use a pool and the wave pool is quite boring because the waves are weak and they take FoRevER to make

Water was too cold, 1 week later my whole house is sick with the flu, strep and I have a sinus infection.

It says Illinois biggest water park and it's true! There are tons of water slides that you can enjoy and the lazy river is always the best to just relax. The lines sometimes are long and the food prices are cheap. The rides closes 1 hour before the park actually closes.....the thing that sucks.

Best waterpark Around, I suggest to take your children to have fun

Fun place, lot to do. Wave pool can become a little tedious (like most) and the locker situation is a little annoying. Don't understand the point of spending money for the blue tubes when you have to hunt for them just like the clear ones. But overall it is a great place to cool off on a hot day.

I'm pretty sure Raging Waves is one of Dante's Nine Circles of Hell. If you like to wait in lines then this is the place for you.

Staff is a mixed bag of friendly and irresponsible. Still a fun place.

Great for the kids. My main concern was when they allowed the Ballon rafts in the wave pool and it became quite dangerous SEVERAL times. The life guards had to stop the waves and jump in 5xs because of different issues. The rest of the rides were pretty safe for my kids.

The lines were a little long but overall everyone had fun! The wave pool took awhile to start but eventually it ran every 15 to 30 minutes.

Probably would have been okay if we would have been able to use any of the facilities. We were literally there for less than 5 minutes before they closed down due to too much cloud cover. We were told that even with our time stamped receipts they did not issue refunds.
1 star for customer service.

This waterpark was wonderful! I wanted to write this review because I always pay attention to detail and wanted to give them credit! This waterpark was VERY clean and well maintained! Even the weeds were maintained. We have gone to several waterparks and this was so clean! Thank you for the great day!

The fact you can pay online but then have to wait in a 40 min line so they can print your ticket AND charge you a dollar for the printing is ABSURD! Environmentalist groups need to be notified as this is a waste of paper. We should be reducing use of paper not promoting it. Why pay online? Complete joke....will not return.

Very nice waterpark 100 % fun for kids and Parents

So much fun! I enjoyed all of the rides! There are plenty of rides for everyone to enjoy and a lazy river! I suggest wearing water shoes or buying them from the shop because the cement gets soooo hot during the summer. I wish they allowed you to bring your own food in, I am vegan and they don t offer any vegan foods so I have to exit the facility and go to my car then basically eat on the side of the road. Which is okay, but not optimal.

Took my wife and kids. Wasn't even crowded and barely waited on any lines. We had lots of fun and we're planning on getting the season passes for next year.

worst service ever. never again

I came up on 4th of July at 3:30 pm to enjoy the holiday, but as soon as i got in and paid for 2 tickets then i rented a locker. After that they told everyone they will closed the pool for 30 or 45 minutes due to weather condition , since i just got there i asked one of the crew that i just got here didn't even got into the water so would you give me a refund for wasting our time not even enjoyed the holiday and drove an hour and 20 minutes to get there. after an hour and 30 minutes waiting in a hot weather I surprised that they will be closing the rest of the day so i asked the lady on the ticket window for a refund and she said she's gonna give me a 2 other tickets to come back again in this summer which is doesn't make sense when one of the employees gave me an information and others say NO. plus the lady on the ticket window wasn't professional at all and talked to us like that was our fault of coming up there at that day. At the results, I asked for a manager to talk to or any supervisor and she said the manager is busy and cannot talk to any customers.

Lousy experience at Raging Waves. After driving 25 min to get there my girlfriend and I walked around for about 15 min to check the place out. We couldn't find any open chairs so we had to pay $10 for a locker. The lines for all the rides were extremely long so we tried to go to the lazy river but couldn't get in due to a shortage of tubes. The pool was overcrowded as well. Their was a long line to do anything. After being there for about 20 min we thought we'd ask for a voucher so we could come back on a weekday. We we're told no. I explained that we had only been there for about 20 min and were unable to get into the lazy river and that the lines for everything were very long. When you're an adult your weekends are precious and I didn't want to spend 30 min in a line to be wet for less than a minute. The staff made no attempts to offer any sort of customer service. No voucher for another day, no attempt to find tubes or chairs, no voucher for a tube rental. Nothing, not even a sorry. Got our feet wet for over $60 and an hour drive. Thanks for nothing.

The food made me poop afterwards but besides that it was great

I have been there a few times, and it's really fun and clean as well. The reason I give 3 stars is because of the staff and their policies. The staff can be very rude, and always shouting at people. I understand ir can be a hard job but you should at least be kind to people. The other reason is their food policy. Let me say it nice and clear, DO NOT BUY FOOD FROM HERE!! Food is VERY overpriced and not clean. They also won't let you bring food in, so you have to either sneak it in or you have to walk ALL the way back to your car to eat. They should really change this policy. Besides that, grear experience and would recommend going.

My boys love this waterpark! It is so much fun , great for all ages.

The worst experience I have ever had. The pavement will burn, blister and tear open your feet. The lazy river is more of a walking river or running in some cases. There was no relaxing to it. You are better off going to six flags or Wisconsin Dells. There were so many people there that they were parking in the field across the street. Save your money don t ever go.

Took my nephew and the family there for his birthday and he loved it! Large water park with everything from cool slides, a wave pool, and plenty of kids water attractions. Those Doritos taco bowls are GOOD

First time taking my daughter here. Being that COVID-19 is a concern my family and I were extra cautious. When we arrived we noticed the staff was taking extra precautions such as encouraging social distancing, constantly cleaning, and life guards were reminding people to stay socially distanced while waiting in line for the attractions. Ordering food is as touchless as you can.

First time coming and it was a great experience, it s well cleaned! Don t mind coming again! But one thing for sure it s definitely for kids that want to have fun!

I have come for the last 3 years. This year was the only year I have had a bad experience. We went down the pink slide and my niece and I went together and when we got to the bottom we were thrown off the tube. We went under water and was there for a couple minutes. I got up and the guy that was there was more worried about the tube than us. When I got up I had to pull my niece up out of the water. S but e had to sit on the side of the pool side for a couple minutes. The guy didn't even ask if we were ok. My great nieces were with us and they went down before us and was ready to get back in the water to help us. It was around 12:30 that we were on that slide. It made us not really want to go down that one again.

We buy a season pass each year and my daughter has a blast!

Super clean waterpark. We go every single year. Highly recommend getting there early due to crazy lines.
