Radisson Fort McDowell Resort Reviews

After being accosted and creeped out by the interesting looking guests staying on the ground floor on the way in I was meet by a nice lobby for the "resort". That was the last nice thing about the place! Room was below average... Looked like a lightly spruced up motel 6 at best. The casino reminded me of the last resort casino from Vegas Vacation... Minus the humorous anecdotes. We ended up leaving within 1/2 an hour and weren't even remembered as having just checked in by the staff downstairs... When we explained what was happening we were meet with more obliviousness... No effort to rectify the situation whatsoever, just a generic "have a nice day".

I would never visit this property again and will actively steer others away from eating the time and money on this awful place. Worst hotel experience I've ever had!

Very clean and nice. The workers are very nice and helpful. Has an amazing pool with a poolside bar and food and a resturaunt and casino with plenty of resteraunts in it.

Very nice resort. Would be five stars, however I was charged a "resort fee", even though my company had paid for the room. It wasn't that much and was not a problem, but I wasn't notified that there would be one until I needed to check out. Otherwise great place!

Sheets were really really soft! Stayed on lower level with patio facing pool. It was very nice but, kinda wish it had an awning over it or something cause sun was blazing in the room sliding window. (Hence the )
It was very nice to sit out at night though. All in all an enjoyable stay..

I love the rooms very clean and the beds are very comfortable. They have a lot to offer like the pool for the family, a massage and spa, many different choice to eat at.
For the adult entertainment on weekends they have bands come in with a dance plus the Casino that has plenty of machines to choose from.
So if you get the chance to visit it I highly recommend it and the views are awesome!!
Coming in 2020 a new Casino is will opening up that will be connecting to the resort

Went for the monster fest, it was a good time! Did not stay the night or try the casino but the venue was not bad just a little small.

We stayed for 2 nights just before the July 4th holiday weekend. Everyone was very friendly and said hello as we walked around. We needed 2 connecting rooms but they said there were none available. Then we find out there are hardly any guests checked in so it was surprising that we couldn't get connecting rooms but it was ok. There were lots of dining options so we didn't have to leave the resort. The buffet in the casino was way overpriced for the few choices they had. We spent one of the days just hanging at the pool. Overall it was a fun stay.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff is helpful and professional. The hotel is spotless clean!! The Rooms Are Spacious With Great views. Food is awesome and prices are very reasonable. Can't wait to go back again. .

Really don't like the new place very scattered.They don't have areas for video poker to many new machines. Won't go back.

As a native, it is often challenging to travel in this country without a dose of anti-Native racism popping up at front desks across the country. That is far from the case here with these Yavapai relatives and their establishment. This resort is serving up hospitality, comfort, cleanliness, excellent services, superior customer service, and the most stunning views. The beds are comfortable, the food is delicious, and the sheets and towels are luxurious.

I'm so lucky our Indigenous Conference was held here. Deepest respect and gratitude to each and every staff member for making me feel so well cared for over these past few days.

Place is going through some really nice upgrades will be an awesome uplift once it opens. Resort kept very clean will be like a brand new state of the art casino once doors open for the new addition.

Clean rooms. Fort McDowell Adventures was awesome. Staff messed up the free play vouchers, but quickly fixed this problem.

Great hotel to stay and just get away from everything and relax. Clean rooms, very nice and helpful staff. I stayed here for a company event. I will definitely stay here again.

We spent Valentine's weekend there. Rooms are very nice and service excellent. Valentine's dinner at Ember Room was delicious. Also won money at the casino

If you're looking for a nice quiet place to relax and have some fun, this your place. The rooms are clean, the staff is nice, and if you like casinos you're in walking distance of one.

Not very impressed for what we payed also they tried to charge us for extra people in our room with out telling us what the charges were.

Total disaster. Even when the construction is complete there is no reason to come here other than golf. Staff is average to poor. Casino is a joke. Security guards harassed me for no reason. DO NOT COME HERE

I love this new casino. I have hit 34 jackpots this year already. All ranging from $1200 to my absolute biggest at this casino which was $37,900. Was playing lightning link and hit the major on a $2 denomination with a $50 bet and got an orb worth $17,000 alone. Such an amazing hit! Today I played keno and video poker and had an amazing day. Pictures show how great! Hit 8 out of 8 right when I was about to leave for $4,000!!!!! So much fun......:) Hope all is well.

Fresh and clean newly opened casino. Casino is non-smoking - PERFECT! Many restaurants and bars to choose from. Sports lounge is awesome, 25+ beers on tap. Casino staff is warm and inviting. All the usually machines and table games. Probably the best casino experience in AZ!

Beautiful resort, but they need to work on their customer service. We had prepaid for a 3 night stay here. After a late flight, we arrived at 4am to check in to find out that they hadn't reserved a room for us (even though it was already paid for!) and that we'd have to stay at the Comfort Inn down the road. The front desk person was not very apologetic and basically said he couldn't do anything to help us till the manager arrived in the morning. After a few hours of sleeping at the lumpy 2 star bed at Comfort Inn, we spoke to the manager who eventually comped our entire stay and offered brunch at the resort restaurant for free, which was very kind. Still had several problems after that though. My sister requested a foam pillow three separate times on our way out and never received one. The cleaning could have been better (didn't replace our mugs and glasses, obvious dust on bedside table, lamp, phone, clock, etc). And the kicker was that when we were checking out, they tried to charge us for the brunch they had offered since they had biffed our reservation. Beautiful area with lots of scenery around. If I come back to the area, I won't choose Wekopa.

1st time visiting the new resort and casino would definitely recommend to everyone to try also the restaurant was amazing tried the chicken and calamari. Pool and spa was great and great area to just relax.

Hit the spa with reasonable rates. They did a nice job, everyone is friendly and walked to the casino side of the building. Didn't gamble, but looked like ppl were having fun. It's in a beautiful area of the valley though.

This review is for the spa and pool only. Their "Spa" is not really a spa. You check in within the gift shop. You have to request a robe if you would like to get comfortable before your massage. You wait in a sitting area directly across from their "Revenue Generation " office...so men in suits see you sitting in a bath robe. There are NO shower facilities unless you want to shower outside at the pool. Which leads me to the pool...the hot tub never got hot. If you want drinks or lunch you have to phone room service and they bring it out in to go boxes. There is a known bee issue. Dont expect to have cocktails or food without being swarmed by 10+ bees. I left feeling very underwhelmed!

it's a very nice casino, i liked the way it is set up. Still can't win anything there. New place same treatment. Lose lose.!!!!!.

The views , the bed ,the peace & quiet & then the " life " in the Casino & golf course. Beats the hell out of the closest alternative s.... Bar none

The resort is nice, clean bathrooms, and a very scenic location. the monster party event, not so much. I will stick to larger sci-fi events in California. At the larger venues, you don't have these fat old, white males touching you, and obsessed with you. They made my time there miserable.

My boyfriend and I take staycations several times through out the year. We were very excited to stay at the new We Ko Pa. The hotel is nice and the room was clean however we had no hot water. It was luke warm. The remote for the tv didn t work unless you stood in front of the tv. The casino was soooo smoky! My boyfriend is a smoker and he couldn t even take it. We decided to try the only sit down restaurant. I got a Caesar salad that was way over dressed. My boyfriend got a hamburger that he couldn t even finish. It was a frozen party they had thrown on the grill. It was not edible. When our server mentioned he didn t eat. We told her it was not good. She didn t say anything besides clearing our plates. We then waited 15 mins to pay. She brought the check with no pen so we had to hunt her down again so we could sign it. We were very disappointed and will not stay here again. Nothing that is being advertised as new is even open yet! Do not waste your money! In addition I was charged twice for my one night stay. I had to called and speak to accounting once we got home to be refunded for the additional charge.

Very clean hotel. Pools were nice fpod was great and the staff was amazing and very accommodating

Think the rooms are OK only. They didn't clean room for two days until we asked after being gone most of the day. Also. There was a tray from room service for the next room outside their for for over two days.

Very clean, spacious. Good variety of slots. Still have to wear a mask but, I love the fact that there is no smoking.

Very friendly staff, spotless modern facilities, quiet rooms incl HVAC that kept temperature perfect and didn't wake us clicking on / off through the night.

Has become our yearly Staycation spot. The area is gorgeous and a few degrees cooler than the city. The pool is a definite yes! Salt water with seating ledge all around, allows ya to sit with ur beverage while soaking and sunning. ONLY bummer was we ordered the romance package and the bottle of that arrived was $6 bottle of J. Roget...felt that not worthy of the package. I dont mind an inexpensive bottle of champagne, but that was a little low end feeling for the class of the resort in all honesty.

Very nice facility in Fort McDowell AZ, you can't go wrong with the casino and resort amenities. Beautiful sunsets and close to other areas of interest.

We-Ko-Pa resort has two golf courses, casino and conference center. The rooms are spacious and well maintained. It has a large pool area and hot tubs.

My wife and I had a spa day and love our couples massage.
