Great place to stay overall however they are renovating the restaurant right now until the end of May 2017. This has meant noise and mess in the diet and basically one lift is in use. The lifts are incredibly slow so it annoying being on a high level with other guests using the same small lift (slow). The fridges in the room don't seem to work that well which is only a problem as I like to buy yogurt/milk for breakfast.

Kudos to Alex Collins the Concierge at the Radisson Blu Edwardian, Hampshire!
A large portion of London was closed to all traffic. Because of RideLondon, the annual festival of cycling, the only feasible way for us to get to our intended hotel from the Victoria Station was by foot. After over an hour we were somewhere near our destination hotel and were pretty tired, confused and lost.
We happened to be passing the Radisson Blu Edwardian and spotted Alex and asked him if he knew where the our intended hotel was. Without hesitation he actually grabbed one of our suitcases and led us right to the other hotel's lobby down the street and around a couple of corners. He certainly went above and beyond the call of duty. Next time we will stay at the Radisson.

I stayed here years ago (pre TA) and had a good experience. I selected the Hampshire again based on this experience and prime location. I stayed in a standard/executive room and value wise it was a pretty decent deal inclusive of breakfast More

Quality hotel with professional, polite and helpfull staff. They all had the right attitude: from the receptionist, concierge, waiters at breakfast , housekeeping and the bartender. Room was clean, spatious and quite. Breafast was good and refined with warm and cold buffet plus a la carte. The quality of our diner in the Peruvian restaurant was a good surprise too as well as the coktail from the bar. Honestly a perfect stayover in busy London. Recommend without a doubt. About the location: Leicester square with great shopping, Soho, china town, hyde park and covent garden in a 10 minutes walk radius.

Great located but we have been downgraded due to system crash of the hotel. Of course, we have got a reduced price but annoying if you wanted something special. However, rooms are OK but not really 5* level. I would say 4* hotel.

Exceeded expectations!!

Exceeded expectations!!

I have been to London for the past 20 years sometimes on a monthly basis and have stayed In several hotels of varied classifications and for work and holidays.

This time round I had brought relatives with me and booked 2 rooms. Their maiden voyage to London and they were as impressed as me.

The location of the property was key to my choice. It was a no brainer being next to chinatown and the theatre district in SOHO. You will never run out of dining options and the area is secure and bustling with activities, which I loved.

Now. I was met by Giulia, an Italian receptionist that made all the different by her professionalism and assistance. A request to have an early check in was requested but there were no rooms available. The hotel made the actual effort to inform me via sms when the rooms were available and provided online check in whilst I was having lunch nearby. They bothered to inform me and their use of technology was commendable. I was first provided with 1 room shortly and to sweeten the stay they upgraded both rooms for us. Giulia made an unbiased and honest conversation which is lacking in European countries today.

The hotel beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were well maintained and stocked. Lockers and fridges were working well and the temperature control was excellent. Water pressure and heating was excellent. Trust me, I have been to terrible rooms all over London in the past 2 decades...

Everyone from the doorman, concierge, checkout staff and all the receptionists and took service staff were well mannered and brisk in service.

I expected nothing as it was my first stay here but I left with great impressions.

Bravo

It's great to return to the Hampshire... This was a stay as part of my 50th Birthday celebrations. In the hotel we had a bit of trouble at reception, of course, it's me here and nothing goes smoothly when I'm involved (but it ends well...read on)

After the check-in process were sent to room 221, but when we got there we found a building site outside the window and the room had twin beds. Went back to reception, was told that it had been assigned to a Mr Parker and not me (I'm a Lord so that's Lord Parker) We were then informed that there had been an error due to there being another Parker due that day (makes me chuckle..)

Anyhow it transpires that we had been given the penthouse suite..up on the 7th floor, a lot different from room 221. We were shown around the room by the delightful Pedro, who during the course of our stay could not do enough for us, including inviting us to drinks in the bar that evening and arranging and walking us to our taxi. A big shout out to the Doorman (Hashim) a jolly good laugh and fountain of knowledge. Room 703 is an incredible suite with its own private entrance, two TVs, gigantic bed which was ever so comfortable and spectacular London skyline views. Many thanks for the cake by the way that was most yummy. We had an absolutely awesome stay...but wait there's more....

The suite overlooked Leicester Square, and low and behold it was only the premiere of Sir Patrick Stewart's new Amazon show Picard....and we had a fantastic view of the stars walking down the (White) Red carpet.

We didn't sample the restaurant, I don't eat after 6pm and as we left at 4:30am to best the traffic back to Somerset, we didn't get to try breakfast this time. But rest assured you haven't seen the last of us.... Oh one more tip, if you're disabled and drive in there are 5 or 6 disabled parking spaces behind the hotel in St Martin's Street.

Fantastic location, and surprisingly very quiet! Staff were very helpful. They were happy storing luggage before and after our stay, and the room was much bigger than I've had at other London hotels. We didn't try the breakfast or restaurant, but it looked very smart. I'd definitely stay again.

Smart hotel, excellent staff and service. Rooms are very comfortable but you need to pay the premium if a decent outside view is important. Wasn't impressed by the revamped dining area, it's too cramped. Cocktail bar again too cramped, would improve the atmosphere if that incessant noise from the speakers was turned off.
My verdict is, try another hotel next time.

Main selling point is the fantastic location. Hotel was generally ok, from staff to the food. The room was fine. I think for the price, maybe expected more, but either way you can't go wrong with the location.

The rooms are well equipped, spacious and very welcoming and comfortable. The bed is AWESOME!!! Where did you procure it from??
The breaky is on the expensive end if you didn t have it on your room rate but is well generous and diverse.
Location is spectacular in Leicester square with walking distance to most of the main sight seeing.
Their assistant bot Edward is a nice and efficient touch for concierge and guest relations. It even booked me a taxi ;)

The location was good and the staff was nice. The hotel itself is in need of renovation. Felt sunny and restless and very responsive. The breakfast was a joke. Highly recommend the hotel only for the location. Will not go here again.

Very centrally located hotel albeit in the heart of touristville. Super clean and cozy with nice attentive staff like all the Radisson Edwardians. Pain points include super small rooms, no kettle or coffee in rooms, and postage stamp size fitness room with no weights under 9kg.

Great hotel, staff were friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough to make sure we had everything we needed. The hotel was well maintained and everything in the room was working fine. Breakfast was good and served promptly from the a la carte menu. Location is right on Leicester square so was pefect for what we needed over the weekend! Covent Garden is within 2 minutes walk so perfect for theatre trips!

Right on Leicester Square, just opposite the Heart radio studios. There's a ticket booth outside for those theatre tickets and your centrally located for the underground, buses, Trafalgar Square, Piccadilly Circus and the Haymarket. The breakfast is quite varied but nice. Cocktails and other drinks are in line with central London prices so don't be shocked. The rooms are well groomed if the bathroom is a little on the small side but the shower is nice and powerful. The bed is well comfy and staff in places like these are hospitable. A very good stay indeed.
