Fairly standard chain hotel. Rooms were clean and nice enough (although why I had three phones but no plugs at the bedside I'm unsure).

Breakfast was again a fairly standard hotel buffet breakfast.

A word of warning though, the hotel is not well sign posted from the airport although I doubt there's much they can do about this.

Fair airport hotel with air conditioning that work...

Fair airport hotel with air conditioning that worked well enough on a really hot day. Room also has solid insulation / soundproofing as I did not hear any outside or plane noise at all. Bed was comfortable and wifi speed was enough for basic needs. Unfortunately bar and restaurant remain closed so I did not get to see anyone glide up the high tower of wine which is the centerpiece of the open atrium area of the lobby. They did however have beer and drinks in a small space just off from the front desk.

Biggest attribute is the location and closeness to the airport terminal requiring only the shortest walk to the terminal. Also because of the location rooms on the west side should have windows looking at the terminals and runway. Those would be highly desired rooms for people with an affinity for aviation.

Finally there were a few frustrating issues with my room such as a bathroom sink that didn t drain down the pipe and instead just seemed to leak out onto the bathroom floor. Also the desk was low and each time you tried to sit or stand up I hit my knees on the drawer corners. And finally with the desk area the chair was more a rocking chair and yet it wasn t designed for that, but thankfully I did not crash into the floor from it failing.

Great service, the rooms were clean and the beds very comfortable, the only star I have to take off is for the pool and showers in the basement... Sadly they weren't clean, tiles were broken and garbage on the floors and the dressing room wasn't in good shape either, the furniture was broken and color was coming off the walls...

Great room. We had a airport veiw so it was good watching the planes take off. The bar was pricey tho nearly 40 quid for a bottle of nothing special wine. We walked to airport about 400yards away and got a bottle in m+s for a quarter of the price.

Horrible customer service. Trying to reach recepti...

Horrible customer service. Trying to reach reception, calling for around 15 times, after someone picked up, he hung up on the phone. After calling again, he wasn t feeling comfortable with giving his name nor passing the phone to the manager. After going downstairs, Madeleine - Manager on duty, said there is no male staff in her team and she doesn t know who picked up the phone. I don t want to know what happens in an emergency situation.

The hotel itself was comfortable and the breakfast was good. It's very close to the airport but there was no noise. What let it down badly was the woman at reception when we arrived. She simply ignored me and turned to a colleague saying "can you deal with him". Disgraceful.

Amazing stay! The bedroom was really lovely, well put together, the bed was so comfortable. Room service was quick and affordable. Breakfast has various option available (vegan yogurts offered). I enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay again if needed.

A great hotel for some, but I never enjoy hotels at the airport. Placed in another location would be a four. Of note, it is one of two places in the world with "wine angels." Inside a large tower of wine, cables winch them up and down to "fly" them to the bottle of wine you ordered.

This hotel is a real gem - it feels 5 star all the way through, from the wine tower, to the little restaurants, to the well appointed and comfortable room. Excellent proximity to the airport.

The only niggle was the check-in desks - individual desks that caused chaos when queueing, because it wasn't clear where to stand so there was plenty of accidental queue jumping!

Good standard airport hotel - looks like the rooms...

Good standard airport hotel - looks like the rooms have been renovated since last time I stayed here. Well soundproofed, even if it is right next to the runway you barely hear the planes. Nice open space bar area. Food in the restaurant is OK but not great. Pretty basic dishes like burgers, fish&chips etc and not very cheap.

Nice, modern and quiet hotel with spacious rooms. Friendly staff. Just a few minutes walk from the airport. It's a bit pricy and the dinner we had was rather mediocre, so I cant give it 5 stars. We didn't try the steak house, though, and the breakfast was lovely. Nice place to relax after getting screwed by Ryanair (for the last time, no more chances)

It was not good I am 73 when my wife and I arrived the man told us he had up graded room 2002 when we got there the last in the block furthest away we found our keys would not work. I then had to walk all the way back to get one of the men to reboot the keys. He then came back with me as I told him I was out of breath and he would have to come to see if we could get in which we did with no help with are cases into the room. We awoke the next morning to make a cup of tea the kettle was dirty with coffee .

Nice place, nice location But... room service wouldn't answer the phone, even after trying 5 times - the phone just rang and rang. Calling the front desk produced the same result, even from an outside line. I finally went downstairs to inquire about ordering room service. I was asked to write my order on a piece of paper and go back to my room. After about 20 min, i received a phone call asking if I still wanted my order and if so, it would be an additional hour and a half wait. No Thanks I said.

A very poor example of Radisson Blu. A poor check-in and bad attitude from reception staff can ruin a stay and people's perception of your brand.

I was queuing with one couple in front of me and one person being served. After looking after the first customers the receptionist Dario just walked off and started serving flight crew elsewhere. He didn't say anything to the people queuing behind his customers he just walked off. I asked one of his colleagues what was going on and he just said "he'll be back" - most unhelpful...

Then I asked Dario himself and just said he was doing something else now and he couldn't say when he'd be back to serve the people queuing at his counter.

I then went to speak to reception supervisor called Diana. She wasn't much better and didn't even apologise for Dario's manner and disregard for the clients waiting.

So we just had to go to the back of another queue and start all over again.

Radisson, consider how you manage the arrival of your customers, consider helping your staff adopt a more client-focused mindset and maybe even some sort of queue management system if your staff can't do it themselves.

The room was nice. The highlight was the retractable coat hook near the wardrobe and the mattress which was pretty solid and suited me. The room was clean and I didn't find any dust in the places you usually find it in hotels.

The lowlight was the minibar. It was adorned with warnings that said that if I touched anything I'd be billed. The I opened the minibar to find it empty. Weird.

So on balance, great location and fine rooms but you clearly have issues with check-in at this hotel, and what happens on check-in can ruin a stay.

Overall a Great Hotel.

Pros: The rooms, foyer and reception are impecibly clean and welcoming, great size rooms and equipped with everything you might need. Staff are lovely and accommodating.

Cons: Needs more variation of what's on offer regarding food choices, there's not a great range of dinner choices available and what is on offer, is of the higher price range and is not always proportionate to the quality of food you recieve. Don't get me wrong, I am not afraid to pay for great food, but in my opinion, I have paid slightly less for better quality else where and I am a foodie :)
Also their Health club is quite small, needs some work and all of the showers were out of use, due to no hot water when I visited. Which didn't help as the pool itself is quite cold and I had to dress and go back to my room to shower.

Clean and spacious hotel 2 minutes walk from Stans...

Clean and spacious hotel 2 minutes walk from Stansted airport... fantastic for early morning flights. However if you wanted to stay for a few more days it's only 45 mins from central London and staying this close to the airport could be convenient.
By the way... you don't hear the flights landing or taking off.
The staff are friendly and professional.
The rooms are comfortable and spacious for 2 people... I don't know if there are bigger rooms for families.
The bed was perfect for me... with memory foam topper mattress and lots of pillows... I normally find a rock hard bed and almost non existent pillow in hotels...
The room has hairdryer, trouser press and iron with board... tv with some channels from overseas.
I found the vanity kit addition a great lifesaver as I'd broken a couple of nails travelling and finding a nail file in the room was a godsend.
There is always room for improvement but all in all I liked this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

Only grumble was at check in there was only the one person working on the desk and a very long queue of people checking in. After approx 15 mins a second person appeared and the queue diminished quickly.

Great location, 10 minute walk & you're at departures. Nice service and the buffet breakfast served from 4am is good. However the room was pretty gross. It stank of smoke and is getting worn and outdated. Ok for the night but for the price, not happy.

Lovely hotel, just at the airport very easy to fin...

Lovely hotel, just at the airport very easy to find and only 5min walk from the main terminal. Our room was also very quite and pleasant, we didn't hear any planes or any other noises. The interior is nicely designed and service is very professional and polite. We would recommend it to anyone who has got a very early flight.

Hotel very close to stanstead airport. Building work going on in the reception. Fridges in the room but they don't work. Room telephone not working. Hairdryer, kettle with tea and coffee making facilities and an iron and ironing board. Bath and shower. Bathroom needs updating. No views

An excellent option. We had our easyjet flight to Nice cancelled. We were so pleased that we had booked into Radisson Blu the day before, making use of the car parking facility. The staff were friendly and helpful. They extended our check out time to 6pm, free of charge, allowing us to use the rooms Wi-Fi to sort out our onward plans. Great buffet for our kids dinner. Swimming pool that helped us cool off. Fabulous adjoining family rooms. Made a cancelled flight enjoyable!

Arriving late or very early in the morning to Stan...

Arriving late or very early in the morning to Stansted airport. It was safer to have a good sleep before getting in a car and drive back home. The hotel was very close to get to by foot and luggage. Staff were helpful and friendly at that time of the morning. Rooms were clean nice deco and very comfortable beds.
The breakfast had loads of choices and tasty great. Thank you!

Very comfortable rooms with selection of toiletries in the en suite bathroom. Comfy beds and pillows. Shame that desk service was not as good, had to return to desk twice as things missing. If I had realised it was as high as it is I wouldn't have stayed

Loved this place. Very modern with great accommodation. Many thanks for looking after my car, pointing out I had a slow puncture and pumping it up before I got back to hotel from Turkey. Excellent value for money with a good range of food and a good breakfast menu. Will definitely recommend and will use again.

Always stay here if flying from Stansted as it is so close to the terminal. Top hotel. We go for the parking package. Didn't do breakfast. Staff are excellent. Rooms are excellent. You get tea and coffee in the room. Room had a bath not just a shower

Not happy your Hotel that has regularly hosted very professionally organised conferences for national disabled peoples group's due to it having at least 25 accessible rooms decided to remove altogether an access ramp to the only bar which is on a raised platform up three steps to . In its place there is now a slow single single chair lift. With up to one hundred chair bound delegates wishing to mingle can you please let me know your evacuation process in the event of a fire ? Door saddle very high into the guest accessible bedrooms also. Bar service staff prefer to clean and put glasses away rather than serve waiting customers also not great. Finally only one vegan choice of food was offered for three successive days in the private buffets served. I'm not vegan myself but obviously not great for those due to health reasons that have to be.
