Radisson Blu Hotel London Stansted Airport Review

An ideal stay before travelling. The beds are comfortable which is a big bonus before a flight.

Stayed overnight with my daughter before our flight. I hesitated in paying high price but she wanted a day in the spa. So disappointed as steam room closed, pool so small ridiculous can't call it a spa. Staff with tattoos and piercings greeted us in a way of annoyance. Didn't mention boiler broken so showers cold. Bar being refurbished in central atrium looked liked building site. Room poor and hardly slept all night. Would never visit again

Nice style, decor and atmosphere for an airport hotel. Staff fairly helpful.

Located at t Stansted airport ... Good to spend the tyd if you have an early morning flight !!! ... we stay in lobby with a drink tuurlyk, we have been doing this as long as we come here, you are already at the place of departure ... atmosphere is good !!!

Upon arrival it was gone 10pm and we had a few minuets to wait at reception. Then our room was not ready, the receptionist didn't say much but he upgraded us to a business room which was fantastic as we were so tired. The room was spacious the bed unbelievabley comfy. The only problem was the bathroom door that locked from the outside and we couldn't open it In the middle of the night. But when we phoned the reception they fixed it in about 10 mins but we couldn't shut or lock.the door all night. The breakfast the following morning was fantastic as well. Aside from the door incident would 100% stay again and flying from Stansted every couple of months I surely will.

Hotel is good with excellent airport access. My standard room is well appointed. However I cannot order off the hotel app as in their other hotels which has a decent selection, can only order if a very limited in-room dining card. The hotel is still a good choice and modern in design. Check-in was quick. Water, apples and biscuits are provided in reception. The bar area is good in the hotel centre. For the money and compared to other chains, this is good value.

Comfortable enough rooms but appalling rudeness from the unapologetic staff. At 6am, I tried to go for a swim in the hotel pool. Staff told me it didn't open until 8. So I came back at 8 and another staff member told me wouldn't open until 11.30am, because there were "swimming lessons for babies". Firstly, what kind of baby needs to swim for THREE AND A HALF HOURS? Secondly, why close off the whole pool for this? Thirdly, given checkout time is 12 noon, that effectively leaves no time for overnight guests to swim anyway.

NO APOLOGY from the desk staff, just a blunt "The pool is closed".

My next interaction with the staff was even worse. I'd put a couple of beers in the bar fridge the night before. When I pulled them out they were still warm. I phoned reception to ask why the bar fridge was not cold, and again - no apology, just a blunt "Because they don't work."

When I asked why the bar fridge doesn't work - a reasonable enough request, given I'm paying for these facilities - the staff member sounded exasperated and annoyed, and said "Because we're in the process of replacing them all."

Again, there was NO APOLOGY and no effort to remedy the situation. Just unwarranted rudeness and a complete and utter disregard for customer service. And all this at a hundred and twenty five pounds per night.

Appalling, will never stay at Radisson Blu again.

Really good location, the runway rooms are a nice view to watch, we used the pool and gym, it was a great start to our holiday. Would definitly stay again, the bedding was very comfy, lovely nights sleep.

Suitable hub for travellers. You arrive and close to the airport you find this Radisson Blu. With a little walk you are in you room. Normally a nice room.

Best hotel to stop in if flying from stansted but the room we stopped in was showing signs of age. Worn patches of carpet chipped furniture and the angels were not on display

Hotel rooms are generally good, occasionally the ironing board is missing, which is not ideal in case you need to iron your shirts. Staff is a hit or miss, either they are friendly and helpful or annoyed and rude. Payments are difficult as from one day to the other visa cards were not accepted anymore. Forget about normal debit cards. The only payment option was taking cash from the on site cash machine, which charges 30% extra for currency conversion. The restaurant is good for breakfast, the dinner is mediocre and quite pricey. Good things are the discount rates for crew and the excellent location right next to the terminal (4 min walk). Therefore 3 stars.

Update: after half a year I visited again and there have been some improvements. It seems the payment system has been updated, the food in the restaurant has seen somewhat of a makeover and is better. The breakfast is great as it already was. The staff was again a bit of a hit and miss. One time friendly the other time giving an annoyed impression or even rude.

Large nice rooms. I had a minor problem with my room that has been solved quickly and efficiently. Perfect for overnight stays for the airport

Feeling disappointed with the food facilities, no catering offered with food allergies . No restaurant open till 6.00
When travelling with my daughter who is celiac to be told nothing available .

This could easily be 5 Star, great position for airport, all staff friendly and helpfull, food ok there is 4 star, the room is larger than expected so pleasant surprise. Idle place to drop the car and spend the night before flying the next day. Bonus no airport noise and a wine lift in the bar.

Sadly the restaurant was not so good. Food was cold and even after returning the second servings were still cold.

From the outside you'd be forgiven to think this was a fancy hotel through and through. The staff were great and helped with the issue my work had made in regards to the booking, from there it went downhill. Charged for parking at the hotel More

Rooms are great and check in was smooth. Onsite restaurant was poor on the service side, seemed short staffed. Food was OK.

The best hotel for parking and access. good rooms and swimming pool. Insufficient reception staff, long queues. Good swimming pool. Unpleasant over-priced food.

Standard airport hotel. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Apparently not enough staff to answer the phone, including room service.

Ideal location for walking distance to into the airport. Staff are friendly the rooms are basic but comfortable

Wonderful service. Fear of heights and staff let me use the freight elevator instead of the sky bridge. Top notch Hotel.

Loved it. Had a wonderful stay. We stayed on Christmas day, had room upgraded to Junior suite, complementary drinks. And to top it up complimentary parking. Being a premium member at Radisson blu, you get good treatment at such occasions. Must visit.

Potential 5 but gentleman in Reception lacks good Customer service skills...

Membre Club Carlson Platinium treated by the receptionist M d lina like a nobody.
For her the platinum status is nothing.
In the room the minibar is empty.
It doesn't deserve not one star and the personal from desk doesn't deserve to work for Radisonn company.
"Special thanks" to miss M d lina who made me stay in the queue without knowing that Platinium card gives you the right to special checkin.

Pretty good place. Needs more variation on food, as there is not a busting load near by (restaurant, bar or burger king in the airport).

Great room ,great location but food and especially wine far to expensive even for a four star hotel and both food and drink orders was wrong when it served

Very disappointing and overpriced- would have better, cleaner more modern accommodation at any budget hotel. Carpet was stained the room was falling to bits.

Decent room with great view of the runway. Shower could use a refurb. Wine Angel bar had a good atmosphere.

Lovely foyer, bar and restaurant. Somewhat dated room but more than adequate. No robes. Some confusion over breakfast as at check in we were told it would be at 0600 but in the morning it transpired that breakfast would not be until 0630 which we could not wait for because of flight. Staff were friendly and welcoming however overall it was not of the standard expected.

A very nice hotel with good well thought out rooms and a nice bar central to the building. Room service was expensive for the quality of food on offer but this can be expected in large hotels

Clean-quite place few steps from Airport, friendly staff, cozy room, lot of fruits for breakfast...

Next door to Stansted terminal. Comfortable, clean. Not cheap but excellent value
