My father had lots of money stollen from the safe in the room. They replace hundreds of dollars with 1 dollar bills. Not only did they not respond but also threatened us (a man named Werner Gere) if we published it online while being there.

Thieves!

The response you gave me is as bad as the crime itself, not taking any responsibility and threatening my family for publishing our experience online. A real disaster!

Very good location, just opposite Gautrain station. Neat & clean hotel & liked the rooms. They are very expensive considering you have other hotels nearby costing less than half of what Radisson blu charges.

The service from the hotel was horrible, to say the least. I have received way better service from hotels with a lower star rating than this allegedly 4 star hotel.
I'm told the hotel was fully booked but we had to wait for over an hour just to get food, the restaurant was clearly not sufficiently staffed to handle the amount of guests they had. We struggled so much just to get a waiter's attention and get drinks while we waited for our food then to top it off the food was cold by the time it arrived! I really wish I could give negative stars!

Good location in Sandton, across the road from the Gautrain station, down the road from Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square. Would have rated higher but my shower did not drain great enough which made for an unpleasant experience.

I want to report that when I was staying at the Radisson Blu hotel in Sandton, in Johanesburg, I suffered a major theft. We left my money and my wife's money saved in the safe deposit box as we always do and also our watches since they warned us at the hotel that Johannesburg was a dangerous city. The fact is that someone came in at some point, opened the safe deposit box and intelligently changed the $ 100 dollar bills from the inside of the bundles for $ 1 dollar bills so that when we went to get the money we did not tell account that an important part of it had been stolen. They change $ 100 bills for $ 1 bills leave, one or two 100 bills in each set for this reason we just realized after three or four days of leaving. We stayed from January 26 to January 29 taking the reservation by booking. They finally stole us just over $ 3000.
However the worst came later: When I discover the theft I call the hotel, they tell me they can not find the reservation, I pass them by mail, they take my phone and they tell me they will call me, they do not. I call again, I talk to another person and again the same thing just now they also ask me for my mail, again no one calls me or writes me. I do this again for the third time and the situation repeats itself.
Before this I ask a friend who is from the city to call and manages to speak with the general manager, a certain Werner Geere who explains that I did not report properly, to call three times, in short, as that the fault was mine for not going through the corresponding channels that I do not know what they would be. The guy says he's going to investigate, the next day they ask me again for the reservation of which the data had already passed. Then on tripadvisor another denunciation of a similar case of such an ignacio appears and at that moment Werner writes to me angrily saying that because I had posted that and threatened that what I was doing was illegal. I explained that I had not posted anything, that he should notice that it was another name, that if it had happened to me perfectly it could have happened to another passenger. After that he writes saying that he had until 10 in the morning to get the trip advisor post to which I explained that I can not do it because I am not the author. I explain that when I arrived in my country I would post this everywhere to warn other travelers. I do that now. If they go do not leave anything in the box. Sorry for my poor handling of English. regards

Having stayed at the Radisson Blu for a number of occasions I feel I have had a chance to truly gauge the quality of this hotel. Pros: Great ambience, quality food, well-kept contemporary rooms. Cons: Nothing apart from the service at front desk could be a little friendlier/ positive.

Impeccable service and beautifully furnished rooms...

Impeccable service and beautifully furnished rooms. The bath robes and special welcome message displayed on the TV screen add a nice touch to the hospitality. The room service was a little slow but then again it was after 11pm. I had to wait 40 minutes for my dessert order. The staff member was apologetic and also ran an errand on my behalf. The staff are professional, courteous and very helpful. I would definately enjoy another stay. Breakfast was lovely and those terrace deck views of the city are marvelous.

Great place for conferences. Good catering and lots of conference rooms.

Gautrain station is diagonally across. Get there early to figure out your platform, parking and tickets if you are using train.
Hotel is walking distance to lots of places in Sandton cbd.

Rooms are very disappointing. They feel dated and sub standard considering the age of the hotel. Service is mediocre. Definitely not worth what they charge. You also have to pay for parking when staying there.

Absolutely shocking service. The manager was THE RUDEST person I've ever come across and knows nothing about customer service. She responded before understanding what my frustration was. It was absolutely disgusting. I actually think it was more a racial issue more than anything else. I'm still shocked and trying to figure out how to file an official complaint.

The staff at the radiation blu were excellent. We arrived late but nothing was a problem or a drama. The outside bar on level 3 is a great spot to sit and chill. You can even smoke a hubbly bubbly. Prices are great. The room was fantastic. In the morning we had one of the best breakfast on level 12, amazing view. Very happy

Nothing like this relaxed and comfortable hotel to rest. Near sandton mall, gautrain station and all the entertainments in the area.

Stayed here for couple of nights during Harpic & Dettol TVC shoots in Joberg sometime back. Convenient location, simply beautiful ambience, good food and courteous set of staffs - liked it very much.

Hotel is well and good, got better window view.

Food wise, you will find same menu everyday. Try your luck by being a Vegetarian.

Convince wise, It's good they provide shuttle for near by places.

Transportation wise, it's not advisable. They will use hotel shuttle (Mini Van, not a good option for traffic) for dropping you and 20% of time cabs are not punctual for the pickup.

Overall, Find a better place unless it is mandatory. Not value for money.

Where to start with a hotel review, it's always complicated because you have to look at many things.

The room: The room was big enough for 2 people, the bed was comfortable and you had a ton of pillows. The one thing that I really don't like about hotels is when they have carpet. I more a personal thing but yeah.

The bathroom: It was clean, (which is really important) and big, I had a shower and a bad. The bad was pretty big as well. One problem was the water, it would take ages to drain, result, my bathroom turned into a swimming pool onto a daily basis. This is probably a problem with the room and not with the hotel in general.

The internet: Well, thats a whole different story. The internet was just bad. With speeds to maximal 5Mbps, it just wasn't enough for the entire hotel. It was working-ish until 8PM local time. After that you would lose so many packets that websites would no longer load. I spoke to the reception about this but they didn't really gave an answer. So make sure that you have mobile internet if you really need it. Getting a SIM card is really hard as well! Read about it before you come to South Africa

The restaurant: The hotel has a pretty good restaurant, food that is served is from high quality and prices (compared to euro) are relatively cheap. They have a big menu (at time of writing) and many different choices.

The breakfast: It was not super special, but it was better than average for sure. The possibilities were big.

Staff: The staff was friendly in general!

It's definitely worth coming here, it's not a pleasure hotel but a real business hotel. For example, we met many crew members of British Airways and I saw some other airliene companies here as well.

The parking space underneath though tight was enough. Proximity to the Gautrain station is a big advantage. Preparation for the conference was a bit lacking in detail. Small things like in the provision of a comfort screen for the presenter where missing. It remains however if fairly impressive conference venue.

The stay was absolutely amazing! Thank you to the kind and friendly staff who were always so welcoming and willing to assist, the room was clean and well presented, the breakfast was superb and to top it off, the views were magnificent from our room! Will be sure to return in the coming future! Thank you Radisson Blue hotel and team!
