Radisson Blu, Waterfront Review

Very welcoming and a good location.

Easy to get along the coast, stadium nearby but not too close. The newly redeveloped waterfront is close and there is a shuttle if needs be.

Staff were friendly, fun, and helpful.

Views of Table Mountain and Lions Head from the harbour area are great.

The service is incredibly slow whether you're looking for drinks or a meal and they werent even busy on Friday afternoon at lunchtime

Been coming here for years ....FABULOUS food friendly helpful staff amazing service delivery and we enjoy the live music and the view of the ocean. ...WE blessed living in Beautiful Cape Town. ...and I trust God to deliver loads of heavy RAIN

Just ok. They have an excellent dining room and the staff was fairly friendly. However our room left something to be desired. I'd rate it 3 stars for room quality mainly due to all of the black mold/mildew in the shower. I just did not feel that the room was that clean overall. Others in our group said the same about their rooms.

The Receptionist who helped me check in was Xhosa but continued to address me in English. It is either this is a hotel demand from them or something else. This was poor service as I could easily have been communicating in my language

Just everything!! Reception and service very good and warm!
Every year we travel around the world to shop for our gemstones and therefore experience a lot in hotels. The Radisson Blue is a perfect, friendly and nice, very clean and well-kept hotel. Very well located right on the sea and not far from the water front, no problem even on foot. Great breakfast buffet - whether you eat inside or outside, just lovely and great staff. It is always attentive and very helpful. Whether in the evening enjoy the perfect dinner with regional wine, of course, then something at the Baar whether sitting inside or outside, beautiful and that with a direct sea view, just to dream! In the morning, at breakfast, we could see dolphins from the terrace. We will be back for sure shortly.

We had a birthday breakfast for my bestie at this Hotel. We so excited and expected going to have an amazing breakfast, but its quite a dissapointment for a 5 star hotel. They could have done it much better. I ordered omelette with spinach. The cook wasnt a friendly person ever. She didnt ask me how do I like the omelette to be done. It turned out l had a hard and rubbery omelette. And I thought I took a yogurt but
then the waiter said it was a smoothie..first time I found a smoothie so liquidy like water. Also its a first time I found a french toast baked on a brown bread !!! Common, you better do it on a white bread if you didnt have proper French loaf. The cheese quality also not the greatest. Taste like a cheap cheese. At the end, they gave a cheese cake for the birthday girl and I must say that the cake was the nicest food we've had amongst all for the morning breakfast. Not sure if we will coming back again.

Great new year's lunch buffet with additional braai (grill) station. Very happy with service and quality.

Beautiful setting outside, great views of the sea and Robben Island. The coffee is pretty good. There is a splash pool right next to the Ocean (I never tried it out). A good atmosphere

Cleaning of the room could be better as they left empty plates all day and there was no water in kettle for coffee
But for dinner we had to actually go and get the waiter for the menus then ask 2 more times for it then we waited 1 hour to be served without the chips that came after the meal was finish
Then got charged for the chips when they were suppose to be included in the meal
They did discounted at end
We will come back to hotel but not for supper

I've been working there since last year November as a bar waitress and I must say loving it!!! The staff are very friendly

Large hotel, 400 rooms, some with beautiful sea views, pleasant terrace restaurant facing the sea; very attentive and friendly staff, usual high standard of this category

The staff was fabulous. We were in one of the two bedroom suites and the rooms were fantastic. The breakfast that is included had a ton of options, whether you like bacon and sausage or fruits and muffins, or cold cereal or the many other items. The location is great and the free shuttle down to the V&A Waterfront is very convenient. You can't go wrong here.

A roach ran across our guests foot at supper. Not the best experience but the food was good.

Update#1 - I gave a hotel a 5 simply because of the fact that despite their excellent facilities they took responsibility for messing up my booking.

Super nice hotel and nice service. Great decor and great location on the sea. Close to the waterfront, with shuttle service from the hotel. Breakfast was delicious and the food in the restaurant was delicious. Great chairs by the pool. We would come back ....

Absolutely a must to visit when you are in Cape Town. From the minute you arrive you are treated like royalty. Fantastic staff and good food.

Had the most amazing light seafood buffet lunch here. Really 1st class. And the chef is attractive and friendly lol

I loved this place. We visited the bar for drinks on a week night on my birthday before heading somewhere else for dinner reservations. The bar tender was very professional and friendly. When we quickly mentioned to him it was my birthday, he brought me a large plate with a piece of the best cheesecake and a Happy Birthday note written on the plate. This is the best service I've seen in a long time!

Great hotel at excellent location. It's situated only 5 min walk to the Waterfront, and they offer a free shuttle as well..

Friendly staff, they even let me borrow a room to shower while waiting for my room to be ready. The only thing a bit strange was that when our large group had dinner it became impossible to write this on the room. I'm not sure why this was a problem, possibly due to the large sum (20 people with wine etc).. Anyway, as long as it's a relatively small group, like a family, you should be fine.

Catering is fantastic, hotel needs a refurbish the rooms need new carpeting, The Spa is Amazing.....a little gem.

The location is great! The marina can be reached safely and on foot. There is also a free shuttle every hour. We couldn't enjoy the pool in December because it was too windy and cold.

This hotel is absolutely amazing. The staff is so friendly and helpful. The food is so good and the business class rooms are absolutely amazing. The view is breathtaking and the whole unit is just comfortable. Definitely a place I would go to again and would recommend my followers on social media to book.

This place has a fantastic setting , but the service was very poor. We especially brought guests for overseas for a lovely experience, but that is not what we had.
Felt like staff all had a hangover ...
Tables not cleaned off after guests had left.
Had to keep looking for waiter staff to request items
Am establishment of this sort should really not be this poor service level

Had a good few days at this hotel. Service was impeccable. Food was stellar. Location is superb. Rooms can be improved - abit dated.

A surprisingly good spot for a quick coffee after a morning run. I didn t know what to expect walking in there as a non guest but the service was great and the view of the bay, spectacular.

Really enjoyed our stay. Staff so helpful and friendly and the hotel is stunning with beautiful views from the balcony.
