Not a great hotel for the price. Check in was 2 hours later than advertised on website, room was dirty when I got in with marks all over bed and fingernails and dust all over the room. Clearly had not been cleaned and I had to wait another couple of hours for someone to come and clean it. Service throughout is highly impersonal, bordering on rude on most occasions. They have 4 service desks but rarely have more than 1 staffed, inexplicably often having several members of staff huddled around a single counter which results in long waiting times. A 4* which is priced like a 5* but delivers a 3* service at best.

The hotel is centrally located, a short walk away from Sandton City and Nelson Mandela Square. All staff members that we met were polite, knowledgeable and efficient. The room was clean and well furnished. We loved the lay out of the bath and shower, space saving but practical for the guests as well

OK hotel, tue room had some problem with the bed lights not working properly. The person in the check-in charged me with high conversion rate without getting my confirmation, I would prefer to pay in rands.

Nice hotel in Sandton, near Mandela Square and the Gautrain. The gym was very useful and the breakfast really well served. The room otherwise could be better. Shower drain needed maintenance and caused a flood in the bathroom. Room service also forgot to leave towels and I had to order.

The staff performance was less than enthusiastic. From check in to the restaurant to the check out, everyone seems cold and disinterested. Perhaps it's the big city thing as other parts of South Africa have the nicest people I've encountered.
The room was spacious and the bed comfortable but the pillows were too flat for my taste. The shower was an odd design but the room was quiet at the end of the hall and we never heard traffic from outside.
Restaurant food wasn't bad but service was poor. Breakfast was complete and the egg station guys were the only staff that were friendly and smiling even though they were busy.
Recommended as it's just across from the train and walking around Sandton is safe.

There was a slight delay in check-in which resulted in complimentary drinks and food from the hotel. We also got upgraded to a suite which was exceptional. The suite had a spectacular view, romantic atmosphere and overall luxurious. It exceeded expectations by far.

The hotel is nice but the service at reception is very bad. The mis treat you sometimes and will try to scam you out of follars so make sure you exchange rands before you pay. The dollar exchange there is very low.
Also note that the shuttle service providers may not give you enough information about charges regarding being late so inform them early if you are goinf to be late if you have booked a shutttle to travel around the city they will charge an extra 650 rands per hour that you delay them. But the reception desk took feedback well when we complained about how we were being treated.
Other than that you will find that the food there is very nice and the service providers are very nice and polite.
I mentioned that I was sick and the waitress feom room service took care of me. Bringing me fruits on the hotel and followinf up on me.
She even said this is your home away from home so We need to take care of you.
In conclusion ,I would recommend this hotel to stay at, but with precautions such as the dollar exchange and the shuttle service.

I know that this is not Radisson blu hotel and residence, Capetown but I have to comment for other tourists to know and be aware of what to expect when visiting Raddison blu, a 5 star hotel!! It's sad that a hotel such as Radisson blu will have thieves as staff. I was at the Raddison blu hotel and residence in capetown and got my items stolen by the housekeeping and of course management told a story which I believe was just to protect their reputation. How can only one house keeper go into my room to clean, CCTV footage shows she's the only one who went there, then you tell me she passed a polygraph test hence she's not the one who stole the money. And of course if you know capetown very well, you'll understand how the police works. Tourists please be advised!
