Great small zoo, worth the drive. Reasonably priced. The animals are well taken care of. Perfect for younger children. Only zoo you can get up close and person to lions, monkeys etc without feeling rushed by a crowd of people. We love this zoo! Missing a star because is small and not a huge array of animals

All around it was nice...but i want to point out a few things... 1st the owl by the exit...why in the heck is there no room to fly? Thats wrong... 2nd. Mearcats why is there electeic fencing by them? Or by any of the animals, i also noticed them by zibras and sutch..how would u like being zapped? Get normal fencing that is so sick..... and many other cages were to small.... ur a zoo not a jail....

Nice zoo for our small kids. I'm giving a lowering rating because the last time we went, it was closed for Brew Fest without warning. We live an hour away so I checked online to be sure it was open long enough to go in the afternoon. Everything said open until 6. After our hour long drive with excited toddlers, it was closed. Updating events and hours online would be nice...

The no longer fully honor the AZA memberships. Admission should have been free according to the AZA list (which we were directed to via the Racine Zoo website), but instead we were only given a partial discount.

Zoo is cute enough, more of a nice park with a couple of animals, but they really should honor the discounts the say online.

Fun zoo that let's you get close up with the animals. It was easy to walk through & all the animals seemed happy.
There was a wedding taking place the day we went. It looked like a nice venue.
Being located on the lake made for a great backdrop. It was cloudy when we first got there but the sun came out & it warmed up. The breeze from the lake made it very comfortable! The sounds of the waves were very refreshing!
Being able to walk through the kangaroo enclosure was so fun! It was my favorite part of the experience!

My wife and I like to visit at least once a year. For a small zoo they have some great big cats. We like the fact that they are not behind glass when viewing outside. You can hear the noises they make including the lions roar. Admission is reasonable and the parking is free. I would highly recommend visiting during the summer months !

Sure, this isn't the best zoo you'll find in the Midwest but for Racine it's not bad! On the small side you can cover the entire park in a morning or afternoon at a leisurely pace. The big upside of this zoo is that they often host events like concerts, car shows and even a beer festival. Super nice staff and beautiful location right on the lake. Recommended in you're downtown Racine.

Pretty small but they still have beautiful animals. My kids enjoy the little train ride they have. The park isn't bad either. My kids try to go all the time during summer time. One of the few places I can take my infants and toddlers they're amazed and amused every time.

They're doing their best with everything going on. The one way traffic was clear and a great idea so a trip to the zoo was possible at all. Hopefully they can safely open the indoor spaces soon so more animals can be seen.

Just recently went for a walk through with my lady and it was a nice little date, the animals are all really well taken care of. Got to see the rhinos butt heads a bit so it was pretty cool.

This is a nice little zoo that won't take too long to get through if your kids can't handle a full zoo day. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Not many of the animals were out when we went, but the female lions were out and were happily trying to play with our umbrella through the glass. It was a riot! We would like to go back if we are ever in the area again!

I've recently relocated to Racine. I took my brother and his girlfriend out in the downtown area to get better acquainted with the area. The zoo was a blast (home run in my book) it was early spring and many animals were eager to wander by the glass.

This place doesn't deserve ANY stars, but I had to give at least that to be able to write my review.
Horrible place to take little ones in strollers! Most of the animal exhibits have 3 foot concrete walls or weeds/plants surrounding them which made it impossible for our Grandchildren to view unless we held them. The only animal we saw was a tiger that was sleeping...no other animals were out on 7/7/18 when the weather was 75 and Sunny! The goats in the "Petting farm" area were also very lethargic which didn't exactly thrill the little ones. We did manage to see a chipmunk and a bird on our way out though. BIGGEST waste of time and money!
