Good place, helpful staff and the ability to call the staff over without disturbing your game. Small issue with the ball holes being very small but other than that a great environment.

Music was too loud not to my liking at all gave me a headache, was with firm. Won't be coming back

Staff lovely. Lanes good. Other stuff to do while waiting...pool, amusement arcade, bar, snacks. Very crowded at weekends tho.

I recently visited Hollywood Bowl in Basildon and had a really good time. I went with a few friends and everyone was wearing masks (with a few exceptions). The staff were friendly and helpful however our buzzer was broken so we didn't know where to go at first. After the staff kindly helped us we went to our lane and had a blast. Definitely 5 stars from me and the atmosphere was great. I hope to visit again soon.

Place has had a face lift since last being there. Only thing I didn't like was the constant queuing at the bar. Apart from that brilliant place to go to with mates or family.

Pool tables were readily available.. drinks a bit overpriced

Great, large and modern bowling alley. When we went the mens toilets were out of action, but I'm sure this was just a one-off. Despite coming during the school day, it was really difficult to find a parking space so I'm not sure how easy it would be in peak time.

Nice place but I would always advise to book in advance if you know your going here as it's very busy place

A great location. Great facilities, with plenty for everyone. One negative is some of the staff need to be a bit more approachable.
Also, recently attended a childs birthday party here. Thought more could have been done considering you have to pay for the privilege. No party host. No drinks brought out for the kids during their game.

Never had a problem before, go there often to drink in the bar area but tonight I m not sure if I ll be making a return. Was waiting at the bar and the bar lady asked for ID but was very rude about it saying if we don t show her it now we all have to get out , at this point none of us refused to show her as we are all 20+ and were getting the ID out of our bags, then my friends got there drinks and walked over to a table so I was waiting for my drinks at the bar by myself and she made a petty remark about me and my friends to her other coworker so I could hear. Am fuming genuinely, do not go out to get spoke to like an idiot

Very very poor customer service. Experienced a hostile reaction by it's staff.

Two rounds of bowling. Modern system with tablets for inputting names. System allows for raising barriers for specific players. Had a deal which came with a free drink at the bar. Good evening had by all.

Some annoying niggles getting the game running, but eventually solved. Decent snacks provided as part of our package.

Brilliant place, went today, but damnnnnnn you guys need to get some aircon in that place!! Trying to play bowling on one of the hottest days of the year was like trying to bowl near lanes of fire. It made me feel like i couldn't wait for the game to be over and get out of the place, which is ashame because its brilliant in there otherwise. Literally the heat in this place is so off-putting

Forcing people out of the building through the tightly packed arcades where very few were wearing masks didn't make us feel safe.....

Hi sorry I was just angry at the time what happened was I got 3 strikes which was my first time so It made extra angry when it counted as 2 spares and 1 strike but over all we had a good time

Caters for every situation possible, day / evenings out, family, friends, work, celebrations. It's clean & tidy, other kids / adult entertainment - video games, slot machines. . . . , you can get food & drink. Very good prices for everything. Parking very easy right by entrance. Give it a go, your go back. Myself & my two kids, boy & girl, early teens have been back quite a few times.

Fun time out with the family, great arcade which keeps all ages entertained and the bowling is good and easy to set up.

Ok place but organisation poor. Admittedly very busy but booked a lane for 7:20pm still waiting at 7:40 although thete was 4 lanes that appeared to be free.
Spoke to front desk and magically a lane was free.

Had to wait an hour but it was Saturday night. Booked vip Lane didn't see any difference between this or normal one.
There was old food and drinks from people before us when we got there which was never taken away.

Excellent bowling venue, great for kids and adults alike. Service is really good (with a smile) and the place is always clean. Bar is good with pool tables and lots of opportunities to buy sweets, drinks play arcade games etc. Well worth a visit. Ample parking too.

Always visit on a regular basis as the kids love it but I'm not going to be back in the near future unless rules are more inforced . Today in MY eyes was a shambles!!!! 80% of people wasn't wearing masks ,the poor girls working there were trying to make them but simply getting laughed at. How can you expect these young hardworking women to not only do more work in these unusual times but also double up as security too! Madness!! Bet there's no more money in it for them. To be honest if you want the public dto come spend there hard earned money, the least you should do is make us feel safe. Mr p barney.

Lane didn't work and wouldn't put us in another lane. Because we booked online the refund Will take a minimum of three days

Good fun. Shame the coffee bar/restraunt had such a long wait of over 15 minutes just for a glass of Fanta though!

Has everything not just bowling and handy if you're waiting for the next showing at the cinema, plenty of parking too

Great bowling, arcade a rip off. Toilets disgusting - smelly & no paper in any of them!
Update: I have been contacted by head Office to explain that there is an ongoing issue with the toilets which they are addressing. I will be visiting again soon so hopefully will have a better experience next time,

Our son had a lovely,well planned 13th birthday party. Food was substantial and they loved the slushies. Very nice and capable party host( sorry couldn't see her name badge)

The claw drop it on purpose had 50 goes none went in put some grips on it.

Awful. Lanes didn't work properly. Alot of pins missing. Dirty, worn and generally nasty. Far too loud too.

The place smelt like the sewers.. Awful... made me feel sick

Located in the Festival Leisure Park the Hollywood bowl is easy to get to and has ample parking.

We were seen to quickly but don't be late or you will miss your slot. The Hollywood bowl is busy so they cannot accommodate you of you are late.

You do not have to change your shoes which is brilliant. I don't like wearing those clown shoes.

They have everything you expect. I have yet to come across a clean bowling centre. The booth we had was a bit gross. Luckily had baby wipes so I did wipe the seat beforehand.

I would recommend it though.

Good location for bowling and arcades, the staff were really friendly. Bar area is nice and has a couple of pool tables. Looks recently refurbished.
