Great place for all ages. The Barnyard Safari area was pretty cool. It was nice to be able to go in with the goats. The Aviary was incredible. Gotta love the Zebras and Giraffes. Had a great time. Don't forget your camera. Photo opportunities throughout.

Proper social distancing, even from the animals themselves. The zoo keepers were very friendly - I actually sat and discussed a few things with one of them while feeding the birds in the aviary. The animals appear to be well cared for and healthy. Masks are required and the cafes are open. The petting zoo and playgrounds are currently closed, though.

Always clean, nice staff, mammal building is sometimes hot/smelly, but they're animals what do you expect, febreeze? A small and easy family outing to support the zoo that supports animals that need a home.

My little guy loved it. Hes only 8 months old and I loved that it wasn't overwhelming. Easy to get around and the walk through area where you can be close to the animals was so much fun.

Love this zoo for a quick trip with the grandkids! unfortunately it's also very outdated and some of the animal enclosures are small while there is so much park-like setting and space for the visitors. I wish they would throw some money at it and revamp. But we still visit frequently it's fun to check it out and support them.

We came to visit the pigs twice a week last summer. My son LOVES pigs. The young man in the petting zoo last year knew a lot about them and was super friendly. He would always take time to talk to my son about them. I was really disappointed with the staff member working the petting zoo yesterday. She wasn't friendly and had a scowl on her face the entire time. Not the right fit for someone working so closely with children.
The pigs are in the petting zoo, but you are not allowed to touch them. They also seem really bored in their enclosure. They need enrichment, the other animals have TONS of things to keep them busy, but the pigs who are extremely intelligent have absolutely nothing.
Don't think I will be buying a membership again.

I havent been to the zoo since it was free. My 19 yr old decided it was a family fun day and honestly we were heading to the Milwaukee zoo when we got a flat tire. We decided to stay in town n since we havent been to the Racine zoo since my oldest was very little we decided to go. My daughters, 19 and 2 and my sons, 17 and 9 months all had a wonderful time! It was definitely worth the trip. It wasnt too expensive and there was something for everyone. Some of the exhibits were the same, but they had a LOT of new exhibits and new animals in their habitats. I definitely would reccomend the Racine zoo as something fun for the whole family!

I would give this place 0 stars if I could. I saw maybe 3 staff and only saw 2 monkeys and 2 lions. Pathetic place to call a zoo. Wouldn't recommend for your kids. It's a waste of money. Go to the milwaukee county zoo instead.

This is a very nice zoo. Small enough to take kids and not walk around all day. Very well laid out and they have people give talks through the day. Have taken many photos of the animals there. I visit a couple of times a year.
Right now they have an abundant display of Chinese decorations and statuary while I was there in September 2019.

I went with a school group and I really wish they had a place for our lunches to stay safe. I was told they no longer allowed them to stay inside the gift shop but what if it rains? Just a suggestion. Other than that it was nice and very clean.

We rode the train , we seen the animals., first time seeing my family in over a year and it was the best experience the kids loved it. I just think they need to explain things more as far as the stroller situation for young kids and the keys it took me 15 minutes to find a stroller that went to my key. That took away time that I have the stroller but most importantly time away from my son I hadn't seen in over a year. People come here for kids to have fun oh, the people who came here with me where from a different state far away. Our time was limited that was the only thing I regret it other than that awesome. Another thing I'd like to add is why do we have to have bird seed sticks when there used to be a petting zoo where we could pet animals for change? Why did they change this it was very nice.

Wait, what?! I visited the area from Michigan and was told about the Racine Zoo. Doesn't look like much from the outside but this place is pretty nice! There's a variety of animals to see. From a tortoise to Rhino's, Lions, Tigers and Zebra's, etc. I was very surprised to see that many animals inside. Additionally, they have a large playground which the little kids seemed to love. I also like their messages everywhere to be more aware of the environment and trash. The only reason why I'm not giving this place 5 stars is because the enclosures seemed small, and the animals seemed rather bored.

We loved coming to this zoo. It was very beautiful and right off the lake. It is set on 28 acres and hosts a diverse variety of animals that we did not expect to see. It is fairly handicap accessible, but there were a few obstacles and places that someone in a wheelchair would not be able to see. Overall it was a beautiful campus with well maintained walkways. You can pet giraffes, go for a "train" ride, and pet goats!

A very impressive zoo site....clean, beautiful grounds, not too crowded, with quality zoo animals ! In many respects, it surpasses zoos of larger cities. Resting along a bluff, overlooking the Lake Michigan shoreline, you will want to visit again. A fun, and beautiful place.

Smaller zoo, but great for families with smaller children. We spent 2.5 hours and are ready to go back. Animals have potential for being up close. Petting zoo as well. Very clean as well!

This is a small zoo, we can get through it in a hour and a half when in a hurry.... But it's low price is worth it... And it's a fun thing to do for small children and when your looking for something to do last minute!

Fun place. It's small and isn't hectic, and you can actually see the animals in the displays. A lot of rescue or endangered species there. Looks like they take good care of them. Pretty laid back, and I'm always surprised by the low cost of alcohol in any place in WI. Still getting used to that. $5 gets you a drink and the cup, which is pretty affordable compared to what other zoo's charge for a cup.

Its decent. Spacious. Not too crowded. Not too pricey. But one thing I wish they would do is just spray off the sidewalks with all the goose poop. that's something they could do or should do everyday. one section of the sidewalk near the pond looked like it hadn't been washed for several days. You literally could not walk on it without getting it all over your shoes. please wash the sidewalks. spray them down near the pond.
