Such a wonderful local zoo. The grounds are kept beautiful, and the animals well cared for in spacious habitats. It is a local treasure.

Join a youth organization like Cub Scouts and do the over night camp out. Includes some behind the scenes bonuses.
I really liked this place! We went right before the lantern festival. Unfortunately most of the animals were inside, but we loved seeing the lions!
I didn't go in rather picked up my child from the Racine Lights field tril
So disappointed in the zoo. Went there with the grandchildren only to be told the zoo was closed to the public for Brewfest. I would never have thought a public zoo would be closed to the public for a private event. I went on the zoo's website and nowhere could I find a statement that for any of the events on their calendar the zoo could be closed to the public. I was not the only family there that was very disappointed! One family had driven 45 minutes to get there. It was so upsetting that I won't patronize this zoo or any business around it. I'll drive a little farther and go to the Milwaukee Zoo!
I really wish they would spend some money on a few updates on the animal enclosures.
The Halloween Glow drive thru was so cool! It was a much needed experience with everything being shut down or restricted during the pandemic. For the price, you couldn't beat it, and to get a trick or treat gift bag at the end! We drove from out of town and will definitely be coming back for the christmas lights! Thanks Racine Zoo!
U can get closer to some of the animals and u can feed the giraffes
Great place to visit especially with children. The bird exhibit was really fun with baby Dylan. He loved feeding the birds! Bring a lunch though the food and drinks are very expensive but the $8 adult cost to get in is definitely worth it. We'll be back!
Great small and quiet zoo. Lots of green areas and space for the kids to run around. Nice playgrounds and a good assortmant of animals (4 cubs Lions that are at 2/3 feet from you!!)
I love this zoo . My favorite part was feeding the birds and petting the goats!!! :)
Great time at Bloody Mary fest and Old Fashion night! Always a blast!
Different varieties of exotic animals. Kind of small but nice.
We love seeing animals not found at other nearby zoos...like kangaroos and the arctic fox!!!!
Great little zoo. Able to get the whole thing done in a couple hours. Then stop at the beach after picnic lunch.
The place was clean and nice however, there is a 10 admission and less to see than when it wS free. What happened to all the animals?
It was a nice little zoo. Not so big, not too crowded. Plus, the animals were a little active so was fun to see them moving about.
For a small zoo they good variety of animals. The keepers are frenzy and knowledgeable.
There was hardly any animals it's a pretty boring Zoo I remember bringing my kids when they were little and I used to be amazing now I bring my grandkid and there ain't hardly nothing there I was embarrassed to even go there
Zoos generally make me sad. This one was no exception. The fruit bat exhibit, for example, has a terrible roach infestation.... they're everywhere in there. It was lovely seeing rare animals, however, and since it's the middle of winter the roos and wallabys weren't out, neither were many others. The make lion had an illness that was being treated and next to him was a Fossa.... If you've never seen one, go see this one. He's a cool guy with enormous eyes and he just hangs out. Plus the orangutans came up to say hey. Overall it was with the $4 to get in.
Very nice format with the social distancing still in effect. Took my daugter there for the first time and we had such a good time. Always love coming here.
Considering the Rona, they opened up for a walk through to see animals
Amazing and beautiful place! They really care for their animals and it shows
Small ,but relaxing, nice not overly crowded a Racine gem!!!!
Super cute and well worth it! We went during winter and still seen everything!
Very few animals to see, and as for the ones they do have, most were asleep or hiding. The only place to get food inside closes hours before the zoo does.
The animals seemed lethargic in general. I wonder if they drug them.
My kid liked the goats, otherwise I'd give 2 stars.
Nice little zoo and close free parking.Right on the lake it's beautiful.
I love Racine zoo been coming since I was a child n now I take my children..
An amazing place at the center of a place not so amazing because of the humans
I am reviewing not the zoo but the current lantern exhibit. Excellent...but buy the tickets online and save a lot.
I loved everything about the Racine Zoo. All the employees were very courteous and it was clean and well taken care of throughout out visit.
Small zoo, but worth the price. We spent just about 2 hours here. Nice for a quick walk, then grab a bite somewhere local. I would go back.
My husband and I had a great time strolling through the zoo. There was so much to see for a reasonable price. If I lived there, I'd have to get the pass so I could visit all the time.
Beautiful small zoo right on Lake Michigan. Highly recommend the rhino and giraffe experiences where you get to feed them! All staff well informed and very friendly.
A great small zoo perfect for young kids that enjoy running around.
Small yet comfortable Zoo. Lions very active considering it is Winter. Great value & Racine asset.
Great staff Chinese new year is awesome would see it again
Very fun. Recommend you visit when with kids. 8/10 for me!
Was fun lots of buildings still closed disappointed couldn't see a lot didn't inform us parking lot next to lake. But definitely would return just not when have to wear a mask was cross with us about no mask on our sensory child who was 3.
Biggest small zoo you'll ever go to! I was visiting family, took a trip to the zoo and I was very surprised at how nice the zoo was. Definitely a must stop in Racine. Bonus, beach is down the block so you could make an entire day trip out of it. Would definitely recommend!
What's not to love more? Christmas lights and a 9 year old grandchild!! Good music and well placed lights
Another fine job here in Racine!!
Racine zoo has friendly staff and they take care of their animals well.
We had a blast today with my son, saw some cool animals! Can't wait for everything to be back open in the future.
Went here for the CNH employee/retiree picnic. Stayed to see the animals and the gift shop. Haven't been here since I was a kid - they've improved it a lot, I'm glad to see that they're cleaning up more regularly than they did when I came as a kid. It doesn't stink anymore.
Saw a turtle from outside the fence. I wouldn't have seen a turtle if I hadn't ridden by the zoo. Three stars.
Chinese Lantern exhibit at Racine Zoo was gorgeous. Well organized and staff was so friendly and polite.
Drove 45 min to get there. Zoo was closed. this was Sunday Sept. 16. According to your website it said open. What a disappointment to a 3yr old. Should have been posted on your website that it was closed for a beer tasting party. Will not drive that far again.
I remember when this was a free zoo. It now costs $, but it is also a much nicer zoo than it used to be. I would pay to go here again
Family friendly small Zoo cheap and reasonable lots of fun for the family and kids
The lantern festival was so beautiful. I highly recommend it! But it's only there til the 31st so hurry!!
Wonderful. We went the Chinese light show & it was outstanding. We haven't been to the zoo in years and although we didn't see any animals, except for 2 goats on goats island, we will come back this summer in daylight for sure.
Small zoo but such an amazing place. They hold a lot of fun events each year.
Chinese lantern festival out standing time with 4 of the grandkids
Beautiful and just the right size to avoid kids getting bored. Right on Lake Michigan what views!
An excellent value for the price of admission and very child friendly.
I love going here with my kids. I went to other zoo paid a lot of money and the animals were not even there. Then they closed the indoor exhibits at 5:20 but I paid till 6pm. We said okay let's just go see the animals outside, well guess what they were all put away too :-(
Happy with this Racine zoo won't complaint :-)
Love how much they had done to improve over the years!!!
Still a pleasant zoo but sadly a shadow of it's former self.
Went on the Eggstraviganza this Easter and it was so fun and not too crowded!
Incredible unique diamond hidden in the heart of the city. Wonderful place to bring the kids or elderly (family)
Pleasant and decent for little kids. Teens will be bored easily.
