We love the zoo I would suggest getting a zoo pass the beginning of the season.

For a small city in south-eastern Wisconsin, the zoo of Racine is quite impressive. The Recent arrival of the Chinese lights is very impressive for a zoo of its size. A plethora of community events also helps this zoo engage greatly with the public.

As my kids are young, they enjoyed this place. There are two playgrounds where kids can run out some energy. It was a nice place that we could explore as a family and not so big to where we would have to start carrying kids on shoulders.

This was such a fantastic deal for the price. While the zoo was on the smaller side, it offered very intimate interactions with the animals that you won't find at a larger zoo. Their reptiles were especially friendly, which I have yet to see in other public observatories, and I was also thrilled that we were able to not only get so close to the lions but also that they were so interactive. For $4 military admission, this is just such an excellent experience. To top it off, their gift shop was not outrageously priced either. We will definitely be returning.

It's a cool little zoo to visit. We live in town and go at least a few times a year.

Fun zoo. Nice staff. Well treated and cared for animals. Great to members. Very reasonably priced.

Small wonderful zoo only $10.00 per adult. Restaurant and gift shop. Smooth paths that are tarmac and concrete make it very barefoot friendly.

We have a zoo membership and go frequently. It is open year-round and they always have wonderful special events for the kids. We have even sent our daughter to summer camp at the zoo and she got to interact with the animals. It is a fantastic local zoo.

It's a very pleasant experience, especially when looking for something to do with little ones off of school. Wonderful collection of animals to see, both big and small. There are even playgrounds on both ends of the park, for parental break time

Not a whole lot going on here now, with covid paranoia happening, my 2 grandkids enjoyed it, but isn't anything like I remembered from 25yrs ago sence I last been there.

Small zoo, but beautiful. Apparently holds elaborate events, too.

Loved how close we were to the animals. Especially loved the Giraffe and Kangaroos.

Beautiful small zoo for kids, probably can spend 1-2 hrs. There no parking structure or a parking lot, parking is on the street but i did not see any challenge in finding a spot.

Was disappointed at first simply because the restaurant wasn't open and we thought we would have to leave for food. They opened eventually and the food was ok, I could've used more char on my burger but everything else was good. Overall most of the animals were out, the day was pleasant, the kids were happy, and eventhough we had to wait, the food was worth it to not have to leave, the burger was a little.....little, even for me and I don't usually eat much. I'd make it a double next time.

It is a smaller zoo but had some really cool exhibits and encounters.

Very fun and it has a picnic area and the children have a lot of fun

It's so different but I think it's more kid friendly now. Had a great time and the lanterns were AWESOME!!! I'm sure the lights will be amazing!!

Very nice little zoo. I held off on going here for a while because it's small but it's close and very well maintained. My kids had alot of fun. Will definitely go again!

Lantern fest was Beautiful, a bit pricey... but beautiful.
So we went on a day with half price.

It's a good beginner zoo for your kids expecially if you have little ones. Enough animals to keep your attention, but small enough not to be tired after seeing! Which is a good thing, because it's right next to North beach!!!!

Beautiful little zoom on the shores of Lake Michigan. Perfect for small children with play areas and small enough grounds that kids can manage. One of the prettiest zoos in the country.

miss when it was free I think its a little high given the drive there but not bad

Not going to visit here anymore the cost is just too high for little to see all my kids want to do is play on the park. I can do that for free why pay 10 dollars to get in...

Small, easy to navigate plus it isn't too large for little ones to walk comfortably.

Attended event at zoo. Love this little zoo! Staff is always super friendly. Lots of open space so you don't feel crowded. Prices are higher but not bad for a zoo.

Racine really has a nice zoo. The traveling Chinese lights decorations are up right now too, so it makes it even better!

We went up for the Lantern Festival, had a great time! A little cold on the lakefront, but we came prepared - hoodies w/winter coats over, Long John's & jeans, gloves & hats. It was 36 degrees, but with the dampness from the lake...

Interactive exhibits. Pay $5 and hand feed a giraffe. Interactive aviary

Great place but just involved the grill place for food. Wish their were more animals to see.

Great zoo for small children. Small enough to walk if exercise is any issue. Easy to navigate with a stroller

Even though it's freezing in the winter, there are buildings along the way to go to the bathroom and warm up.

Our granddaughter and we always love our time at the zoo!

BeauZoo. Pack your lunch. There food is pricy and not very healthy.

So disappointed. What has happened to the zoo that I went to as a kid? The animals, from what they have, looked miserable. Petting farm? What? A mixture of 8 goats & sheep? You can't feed them & they don't want to be touched. No bears. No elephants. No gorillas. No penguins (or any kind of water creatures). No snakes. No deer. Nothing really cool to see. And to top it all off, its not free. $17 for 1 adult & 2 - 6 yr olds to see nothing! Well hey, at least they have a play area for the kids to have SOMETHING to do! Maybe donate the animals and just make it a park. One that stays open and won't kick you out early at 4:30 on a beautiful summer day, because Animal Crackers is starting! What a joke Racine. We left after an hour anyway. We already saw everything... Save your money & head to the Milwaukee Zoo.

Awesome zoo at an awesome price! Love that they're on the ball in different ways to cut down on plastic! Adorable animals. Fun playground for the kids and a beautiful setting! Must go!

Nice time walking around. All the animals were out when we were there. They were pretty active this day.

A beautiful zoo right on the lake. Lots of animals for a smaller city zoo, and two nice playgrounds plus a petting zoo for kids. Don't miss the chance to visit the kangaroos with no fences!

I enjoyed this zoo. It was more like a park with animals. Less crowded, more room, more open. Price was right. Views are amazing.

Small and quaint, but a good variety of animals. Great location and views. A nice place to spend a couple of hours.

It's the smallest zoo I've been too but it's cute plus you see kangaroos and get to pet the goats! They ate my paper map though lol it's children friendly. Also there is an open space for birds to fly around you. It was pretty cool!

Beautiful little zoo. Much less asphalt than the Milwaukee zoo.

A perfect afternoon with the children! The zoo is small enough that you can visit often to spend a couple hours but big enough to see several different species of animals. And since it's right on the shore of Lake Michigan you can choose to visit the beach afterwards.

It's a nice little zoo! We have a lot of fun there! It has improved a lot over the years.

The Racine Zoo is a hidden Wisconsin gem. It sits on the beautiful blue waters of Lake Michigan right on Racine's North Beach, its the perfect size for little ones, and it has a nice variety of animals. Giraffes, rhinoceroses, zebras, orangutans, and many more. If you love animals, this zoo is for you!

A local gem, one of the best family destinations in town. Kid camp, concerts, the car show, gorgeous lake views, and some cool critters, too.

Great way to spend a few hours. Zoo is small enough to fit into a day but plenty to see.

Racine has done a great job of renovating its zoo. It now has a modern feel.Not a big zoo and nice to walk around. We will make a trip back.We were there on a beautiful March day.
