I've been coming to this zoo for a number of years now for the Great Lakes Brewfest - so my rating is purely on being at the zoo for a beer festival, and not for animals/etc.

For the brew fest this is a fantastic location. I enjoy the open space that's allotted, as well as the flow of the walkways and availability of bathroom facilities. The zoo employees, along with the festival workers, do a great job of setting up and prepping for the event as well as managing the hoard of people that eventually arrive and take over. The facility remains as clean as anyone could expect, trash and whatnot is taken care of pretty quickly/efficiently. The local police and security do a good job of helping keep everything in-check and most "incidents" are handled quickly and out-of-sight from the vast majority of attendees. There's a little access to see some of the animal enclosures - and from that very little I thought it was a pretty nice little zoo...sometime I'll make it back for Zoo-ing rather than festing/drinking.

This is a wonderfully sized Zoo. Wonderful for the whole family, lots of animals to see and pet, lots of things to do and your visit. You can even have a party here which we plan on doing some time.

This Zoo is a very well kept and beautiful place on the lakefront. They also have many specialty shows here during the Summer. A nice place to spend the afternoon with the kiddies and letting them learn about animals.

Probably the best little zoo in the whole Midwest. The zoo is big enough for kids to enjoy and small enough that they won't get over stimulated and tired. The price is very reasonable with rates of $4,for adults and $3 for children. The staff are very welcoming and helpful. The animals are on display at all times and very close to the spectators. There is a walk about exhibit that allows people to have the animals come right up to them. Very fun and the view of lake Michigan alone is worth the price of admission.

Best small zoo for young children! As we entered the gibbons were whooping loudly, the tortoise raced round its pen and there was an emu sitting below us in the walkabout. We ate our lunch and watched the giraffes. The large playground was a hit. The best $3 (per stick) was spend on seed sticks so a parakeet might sit on it while you held it. We fed we several. The worst $3 (per person) was for the train ride. It had no tracks so it could go anywhere but it just went up and down the road.

Really nice neighborhood zoo. I went here a lot as a child and even have a family engraved brick here. During the summer/fall they have a bunch of cool events including the brew fest in September.

What a change from the Racine Zoo I knew as a kid! There are certainly the same main features, like the Big Cat area and the Orangutans. But the Aviary, Walkway, Barnyard Safari, and the Giraffe Experience remake this zoo. For a steal of a price, you get both new and old in this beautiful experience.

This is a great little zoo for it's size and location! Love the kangaroo exhibit and how you can just wander on the path through the enclosure. And they always have great programs, like Roar and Pour, or Winos for Rhinos.

The worst supposed to be zoo there is, I was only able to see 7 different animals and the zoo charged an admission fee, I would like a refund please. If I could give them no stars I would.

The Chinese light festival is a must see and experience if you are within 100 miles. Seniors and kids are discounted. Wheel chairs are available for a small rental fee. Check the website or call for a schedule of discounts. I'll come back with mother. Count on an taking an hour.

I used to love coming here as a kid. It has come a long way since then, but what they do the same every year, which brings a smile to my face, is the Christmas lights. It's a tradition that my nieces and nephews have now grown to love seeing every year as well.

I love being able to see the giraffes so close. They are so beautiful! Everything new they have redone has made the zoo look like a totally different place.

My niece had about 3 of her birthday parties here growing up. They were very nice at helping us get things set up and giving us our space.

I love that we have such a great Zoo right here in Racine. The family membership for the year is reasonable and allows us to visit as often as we want and not feel guilty about only seeing a couple of animals per visit. The giraffe encounter is great, they take a cracker right out of your hand.

To me, this was more like a park with a few animals. Lots of space for families and play areas. There were zebras, lions, giraffes, monkeys, penguins and other animals just not an abundance of them. Very friendly staff.

The Racine zoo is a nice small little zoo perfect for families to see a few zoo animals in a short amount of time. Make sure to check out the large African Lions, Amur Tiger, Orangutan, and Bears. The large playground is really nice, a good break for kids to get their wiggles out. Unfortunately we visited in March when most of the animals were not out and not available to be seen (penguins, giraffe, rino, fox, owl, and other birds). The zoo is right on Lake Michigan, so make sure to bring a jacket if it's fall or spring and a pair of gloves in the winter with the breeze off of the lake. The zoo staff are friendly and helpful. I know this would be a great zoo to visit in the warmer months when all of the animals are out. I definitely recommend the zoo for families to visit!

The Racine Zoo is one of those not-so-hidden gems on the lake. I'm always amazed how many of my friends who live in Racine say that it's been years since they've even been to the lake. Often when we go down to the beach I always try to take a stroll through the zoo and we love it.

The Racine Zoo is a quaint little zoo. It's very kid friendly and easy to walk in a short amount of time.I thought it was really cool that you could walk right into the kangaroo enclosure and have them walk and hop all around you. I've never seen that before. My grandson really loved that.

They don't have a ton of animals but the ones they do have are the ones that kids are most interested in: lions, tigers, giraffes, rhinos, penguins, and of course, kangaroos.

I bought a family pass for $60 and it was not worth it l. The zoo doesn't have a lot of animals and the ones they do have don't come out often. And I know that having a zoo is expensive and Racine is a small town but they could have things such as rabbits, turtles, chickens, lizards, cows and basic animals that children really love.

Such a sweet little zoo! Better than the big zoos I feel. We were able to pet kangaroos, emu, goats, pig, sheep. We fed parakeets and giraffe too! Super inexpensive, but also didn't have too many animals. Right on the beach so it makes for beautiful views and a great experience!

Great zoo that has a wide range of animals in a unique lakeside setting. Recommended, but price is a little high for what you get. Still a great way to spend two or so hours with friends and family.

Had a wonderful time at Zoo Lights. Absolutely beautiful display of Chinese lantern in the life size shapes of animals, huge dragons, flowers, butterflies. It was breathtaking. Prices were very reasonable. Can't wait for next year.

This is such a cute zoo, that I had no idea existed until Saturday. I attended the Pancakes With Penguins event Saturday morning, then walked around the zoo with my Aunt and uncle. We had so much fun. It was a perfect way to spend a fall Saturday afternoon.
