Just went through the zoo and viewed the Chinese Lantern Festival. Pretty impressive.
Just went through the zoo and viewed the Chinese Lantern Festival. Pretty impressive.
I really love zoo's this one is a little on the sad side the animals are not very happy. On the other hand its nice to add in a zoo trip with a pinic with the beach next door so the location is amazing. Parking is another story there is no parking lot so you have to park on the street.
Nice zoo, good for family, but many animals have lack of water where they should and looked very dehydrated. Nice staff as well.
Such an amazing zoo! I know a couple of the keepers there and I know how much they love and care for their animals. Doing great things for conservation! My favorite things were the Orangutans, Giraffe and Rhinos! They do so much for the animals in their care and for wild conservation efforts!
Absolutely beautiful little zoo on the shore if Lake Michigan. Picnic spaces and playgrounds and an amphitheater for summer music venues.
Love it! Im from indonesia, and i was visiting this place few years ago.
Reasonable place to go, beautiful setting, nice animals
Went to see the Racine Zoo China lights. They were awesome.
Great little Zoo you will spend the perfect amount of time. Great parks to take little break. Can bring in coolers.
Had the best relaxing time with my family and extended family. Our kids loved it!
Wonderful time at the later festival. Well worth the time!
A lovely small zoo with on site food, giraffes, lions, tigers, orangutan, Gibbons, and black rhinos.
Had a great time visiting the animals. The grounds were very clean. The admission was reasonable. Workers were very helpful. A great experience.
Cute tiny zoo. Only took an hour to see everything. My favorite part was the giraffes. Would love to live in those back yards! Highly recommended for small children.
We were a little upset after we looked up the pri ces on line only to find out that prices were almost doubled
Not cool. We left because we are on a budget.
Great place for small kids to see animals and just big enough to keep their attention
It was really cold.. However it was a wonderful experience!
Back when the zoo was free I thought this place was adorable and the perfect place to take my two toddler children. It had lots of open spaces and a couple of this and a couple of that - just like Noah's Ark. But now that they charge an admission I feel is far too much for the experience that we get at the zoo. It's a shame. I used to love the openings to the beach from the zoo as well, but now those are locked up.
Small and intimate but has all the animals you could ask for. We visited on a very cold and windy day so most of the animals were sheltering in place. They have many animal friendly programs which have explanatory signs and placards to keep visitors informed.
It was at the super tail end of the season but was better than I expected it to be. $4 to get in but $10 to rent the stroller.
Great zoo, wonderful staff! Good place to take the kids.
Always fun for the family! Just the right sized zoo for the little ones.
I have attended similar Lantern displays in Milwaukee yet even as the Racine Zoo doesn't have near the size of other area displays, somehow it felt larger and even more spectacular. Exceptionally well done. It shouldn't be missed.
Perfect sized Zoo. A nice variety of traditional & exotic animals. Well kept & beautiful views of Lake Michigan
Price is way too much for the 5 minutes of a drive they the zoo path. Not even close to worth it
Reasonable prices. Beautiful grounds. Fun for all ages. Events golore.
It's a nice size zoo. It's right on the lake so the views are amazing.
Beautiful location and the perfect size for young kids.
Today my wife and I took our grandchildren to Racine County Zoo, how disappointing! Hardly any animals out, nothing open, inside the one house that was open there were only a few animals, the tram wasn't running a huge waste of time! And we paid full price for this!! Will not be back would rather drive so as not to disappoint he grandchildren when they kept wanting to see animals that weren't there!!!
Great little zoo with good motives and captive breeding
An affordable afternoon. Plenty of animals, including giraffes, rhinos and a white tiger. Lakeside benches for resting. We did enjoy our day.
Nice and small, nearby and next to other recreational areas.
It's a great zoo. It has a couple of playgrounds, a train ride and feeding stations. It would be cool to see more places where you could feed the animals. The only part I don't like is how they just close early. Yes, they put it on they're website, but it still sucks when you see it is closing early.
Little nice Zoo! He needs more money for the animals.
Fantastic place to bring the children and family members to enjoy all that is to view.
Great little zoo!! Perfect for the little ones. Daily meet and greats with the animals, large play area, petting area.
Small zoo, but great for days with a time limit. The kids love it. Especially the playground
Small but very nice...if you have nothing to do and would like to visit a inexpensive zoo this is the spot....
Fun on a Thursday afternoon. Got to see a couple animals get fed because we were there around noon.
My day with my girls was great !!! If you have never been there, I highly recommend!!! Not a big zoo , but very pretty and lots to see.
Amazing zoo! All of the animals have fun toys to play with and all of the staff are informative and friendly!
I love the new ideas they come up with and the Halloween display was so creative and smart. We will go again.
Beautiful zoo with a few exhibits. Off the lake with beautiful views. About 1.5 miles to walk around the zoo. They have about 2 kids play area and a few picnic benches. $28 fee for 2 adults and 2 kids. They have free limited parking in the back or on the street.
The China Lights at the Racine Zoo are a must see. Can't wait to see the lights when there is snow on the ground.
Sweet animals small but definitely a place you want to go in the winter more no one around and most animals inside but close enough to where you can hear and see them
I love the simplicity of it. It's not too big, but not too small. The staff are wonderful and the location is gorgeous
To start off the food at the jungle restaurant was disgusting. They forgot some of my order. And as we walked around for the hour and a half it took to walk around ... there was NO water in MOST of the exhibits for the animals to play in or drink it looked very dry in all inclosures . Knee high weeds all around . Penguins looked VERY sad and were picking at the clips on their wings trying to get them off one another . Very sad to see the FEW animals they had look so sad and unattended. Very beautiful view of the lake leaving though.
It was very nice, laid back, friendly, clean. Kids loved it
It's a nice little Zoo right on the water. I think it's a much better value than going to the Milwaukee Zoo
Plenty to do and see at the Racine Zoo. Penguins, Rhinos, Giraffes, and Prairie Dogs, you get the point. Also, plenty of activities happening at the zoo in the summer. Definitely check out the Animal Crackers Jazz Series if you have the chance.
Cute setup not a whole lot of animals and the train is set up for young children. Very clean and fun for kids under 5.
Racine zoo has gone gotten worse the last 20 yrs . As a kid in h
1990s zoo was great but too many unneccessary changes now. So sad. Petting zoo I knew as a kid no longer exists. Its now a joke.Kqngoroo exhibit takes up a third of the zoo space. Very disappointed. The bridge that went over the pond was taken out years ago. Heartbreaking. I used to love the Racine zoo. The only thing that has stayed the same for most part is the castle. Not as many animals now and the prices to get in are outragous. Too much play area now. The racine zoo I knew and loved is gone. :(
Lots of space, not lots of animals. Miss the $5 days. Not sure why it's $8, but like that I can bring my own food and drink and have a picnic, free parking too
Cute, small neighborhood zoo. Has playground, gift shop, and a small restaurant that serves decent, not so overpriced meals. Although the animals didn't look so happy one hot summer that I went to visit
From what I saw of it this was a nice place. I didn't get to go far as we were there for the bloody mary and old fashion festival
It's a nice zoo. It's on the smaller size but nice. Great playground. Beautiful setting by the beach.
It's the zoo, small but has everything you can enjoy.
Great zoo with lots of eye catching exhibits. The animals are usually easy to spot and active which makes them more entertaining.
Pretty good little zoo. You get to walk around with the Australian animals, separated by nothing more than a rope.
Cute little zoo. But its definitely more fun to go to when its warmer.
Really nice zoo. Beautiful location on the lake. Lots of animals. And, you can sign up to feed the giraffes!
