Love the vibe, Food & Pizza! I first stumbled upon cheesies b/c of the testimonials on the outside. One of them said it was voted the BEST PIZZA IN THE WORLD so I had to see for myself!

Cheesie's is one of the greatest places in Chicago to get a grilled cheese. They have a qide variety if classic grilled cheese and new twists with unique flavors. This is definitely a place you should stop by at if your ever get the chance!

Great selection of beers and cheese sandwiches..well what's not to like!! The caprese is my favorite!!!

Grilled cheese is one of the great American comfort foods, and Cheesie's gourmet grilled cheese recipes understand what makes them work. The cheese is melted and tasty, the bread is toasty and soft in the right places, and the ad-ons don't complicate the appeal. I got The Melt, which came with chicken and thousand island sauce, and it was delicious.

No complaints. Attentive bartenders, fun games, good food.

Gourmet grilled cheese with dipping sauce and fries or tots. They'll customize the sandwiches if you ask. I love this place. The environment is fun, but seating can be crowded. There are public restooms if needed.

This was a great little late night find. The sammiches are fun to order as well as awesome flavored.
It's a young crowd and the music is turned up. It fits the area to perfection. Would highly recommend.

Gross.. food was cold and overpriced. I know people see the food truck out there but don't waste your time or money. Plus the restaurant was dirty and freezing cold!... might be ok if you were drunk but so is a bag of chips

My go to after work bar but the bathrooms are never clean. They make up for it with the strong drinks and wings.

At-N was spectacular and so friendly. He guided us on what we wanted from the extensive menu, as well and apps, desserts and drinks. We were here quite late (4AM) and he was still very warm and took the time to explain the menu. He was awesome and the reason we ordered. Will come again!

Fantastic Grilled cheese options. It takes your classic grilled cheese, and elevates it to a new level. Also just opened their pizza option on the other side.

Every time I eat at Cheesie's, I wish I could fit more food in me because everything looks and sounds delicious and I can't fit it all inside. Not only are they expert grilled cheese makers, they have great drink prices, offer lots of vegetarian options and they're open late for your post-pub crawling hunger pangs. (But they're also super delicious sober, which is cool because you can't always trust drunk judgment.)

I have never posted a review on a restaurant in my life. My recent experience at this establishment has upset me greatly. I understand servers and bartenders and people in general have a bad day but today was different. My wife and I love this restaurant and even went so far as to request information on franchising. Myself and my grandfather-in law sat down and talked numbers. The owner literally stayed at my grandfather in laws home in Arizona to scout future business endeavors. My wife and I came back home to Chicago for a wedding and went to a Cubs game. After the game we decided to visit one of our favorite food places, Cheesies. However, we did not know we would be treated the way we did. My wife sat down as I used the restroom. She asked the bartender if she knew the owner and if he was present to say hey. I came back and we ordered out food. After receiving our food, we ordered drinks. My wife was refused a drink and I was given one without hesitation. After this I asked why my wife was not given a drink and Spencer, the bartender informed me that she was slurring her words and did not need a drink. My wife hadn't had a drink since the 4th inning of the Cubs game. I asked again for him to serve my wife a drink and he refused after giving me my drink. I informed the bartender of my displeasure with the service my wife was receiving and he continued to deny her a drink. Between asking him a second time and finishing our food, about 7 to 9 minutes had passed and we had not seen him. When he finally walked by, I asked him for our bill and refused my drink in disgust for his mistreatment of my wife. He then explained that he will comp our food for the inconvenience and misconception. I love my city and this restaurant. However, I have never been anywhere where my wife has been disrespected the way she was. The disrespect and mistreatment was so blatant and obvious that, when we walked out, a couple customers clapped as we walked out. I absolutely hate politics and respect every race, ethnicity and sexual preference. I have never felt more hate in my life. The political climate has changed this bartender. The manager, Chris, walked up and stuck up for his bartender. As a former manager, I would have never condoned this treatment. We will never visit this establishment again and I hope anyone that respects the general public and political climate will do the same.

This place was phenomenal. The food and amount of different grilled cheeses they have are delicious. I prefer the tenderizer, an amazing grilled cheese. The fries are definitely worth checking out here as well. The environment here is fun. Fantastic music, friendly people, and right off of the train stop. I love swinging by here due to the hours they are open as well. They are open extremely late, which helps with my unpredictable college schedule. I have gone twice in a week and plan to go many more times

The main bartender here is among the best I've ever seen. She's personable, prompt, and knows the menu back to front.

4 stars for great grilled cheese. Minus 1 for getting rid of their pizzas. Plus one for their sunday deal and plus one for their fun atmosphere and staying open late and delivering. I'm not good at the math but I think that works out to be 5 stars. A Chicago icon that I have been enjoying since they opened.

Great staff today, st patty is such a busy and stressful day i cant imagine putting in the work the staff did today, the place is under staffed but you wouldn't notice because everyone of them even the security guard is pulling weight... good job..

I m trying to figure out what s so hard about a sandwich order. We ordered through door dash and part of the order was the gyro grilled cheese. Apparently they thought gyro meant turkey and stuffing between tx toast. That s completely unacceptable.

The best Grilled Cheese place! I love their tomato soup! Make sure you get an actual bowl of it! It is great in the cold little cup, but the soup is best served hot!

Ordered the 'Tenderizer'and was not disappointed!! Hit the spot and the bartender was very helpful. Good spot to grab a grilled cheese sandwich and have a drink and watch the game or just chill. Very relaxed environment.

Love love love!! Amazing and different grilled cheese sandwiches on Texas toast with dips, great soups and the tater tots are awesome! They have the 19.7% Not Your Father's Root Beer beer on tap which I love! A great fun place to hang until all hours of the morning right by the Vic Theatre in a great area. Plus it's only a brown line El ride away right away from Union Station

Amazing pizza, good beer, great vibes. I adore this place. I've been here a few times after a night partying and it's always been perfect.

Naturally if you go late after a show expect it to be busy and you may have to wait a while for your pizza since they make them by hand per order.

The staff is really friendly, and you can tell there's regulars who know the staff personally. It's a great place for friends and food. I highly recommend this place.

I love to stop by here with my friends while we are out dancing next door at Berlin. The selection seems to rotate a bit. They're all quite delicious; my personal favorite is El Jefe. The portions are generous. This place will be packed on a Saturday night! I've been here a few weekdays, and it was considerably less crowded.

Absolutely appalling experience. I don t know how this place has good reviews. From the incredibly dirty tables all around to the drunk people falling off bar stools it was a terrible experience. The music was loud and awful. Took about 20 mins to get food at 4am. Its a shame because the food was solid but definitely won t be back

I love Cheesie's! They have quite the range of unique grilled cheese options. While I usually come here for the food, I typically grab a spot at the bar to have a drink and people watch. Bartenders are always super friendly, even when they're busy!

worse than what you d make at home. soggy bread, cafeteria cheese, and way too loud. lots of better places, for example: any soup kitchen

I just ordered food via Doordash and when I checked my food, my loaded tater tots wasn t there. Whoever prepared my food tonight forgot my tots!! I was craving for it though!! Sooooooo disappointing!!! I can t even call their number!! Ugh!!

Arcade games, lots of TV's and fun music going, and just a decent place to chill. Perfect for late night decent pizza after going to a show.

Great food, nice setting, friendly staff. We had an expired Groupon and they accepted the purchase price as credit for our meal.

This place is taking Grilled Cheese to a whole new level. Very quick and efficient especially if you are sitting at the bar. They are very attentive servers. Its a great place to stop by after a night of partying the night away. Don't forget your fried pickles!!!!!!

Fun spot for sandwiches. They have all types of grilled cheese. Great bar too. Plus, free play arcade games. Staff is great. Very interesting desserts (cinamon roll bites and a Skittles shake) - all very good. Chicken sandwich was particularly good. Fun spot for kids!

This place is terrible and the staff sucks. Plus on busy nights your sandwich will be soggy anyway!

Went to Cheezies with my boyfriend and our two small children. I liked it a lot. Food was good and the kids liked writing on the table w/chalk. I m only giving it 4 starts cause of the wait to actually get the food but it was good.

It's bar food with a twist. They don't call it Cheesies for nothing. Probably one of the best grilled cheese sandwiches I've had (The Edgar). Just don't expect to find something for the health foodie!!

This place is amazingly tasty! I had the Napoleon and it satisfied all my taste buds. Sweet, sour (from the blue cheese), savory... You can't go wrong unless you dislike blue cheese. If you're looking for an above average grilled cheese and don't want to make it yourself, come to Cheesies!

I've always experienced good food and great service here. A few nights ago, bartender Spencer really went above and beyond during an unfortunate incident involving another customer. Thank you so much for (once again) making this my favorite joint in Chicago.

I was rather surprised, I'd been told this was a great spot to go after a movie or drinks. My boyfriend and I got a few sandwiches and fries to take home. Our fries were really burnt, so we just threw them out. And the PBJ sandwich was burnt on the outside and runny on the inside. It was just too messy. Our Melt and French sandwiches were really good, but for 40 bucks plus tip I think you could do better elsewhere.

Good grilled cheese menu, but quality is falling. Expensive, skimping on ingredients, no sides included-not even a pickle. Tomato soup replaced with gross dip. OWNERS TAKE NOTE-WE WANT YOU TO SUCCEED! Noisy dirty restaurant with the same broken speakers rattling out obnoxious music as the day they opened-owners ears must be stuffed with cheese. Definitely take to go. Don't slip on the greasy floor while you're there like we did!

I've visited Cheesies multiple times and it's always delicious. All of the grilled cheeses can be made with or without meat and they are super chill with substitutions. I've tried multiple of the grilled cheeses but my favorite is still the popper. Side wise, you can't really go wrong with any size but I am a personal fan of the fried pickles and the tots. The drinks are good, maybe sometimes a little too sweet, but the bartenders are awesome and always friendly.

Sandwich was cold. The soup dipping sauce was also cold. The bread was barley toasted and the sandwich was less than "cheesie"

Eugene gives amazing service and this is coming from a bartender. He multi tasks but establishes relationships with guests. The food is delicious if you are an arcade pizza person. Go for the garlic knots!

This is one of the best grilled cheese spots in the city. This is the original location and by far the best tasting. Open Late and always a party in there. Put it on your late night munchies list! Love the tenderizer and the classic!

Surprisingly good food. Kind of pricey for what you get and messy/dirty/sticky inside, but I would go back again.

I come here once in a great while when I come here I always eat the chicken tenderizer try it at least once it'll be a total game changer

The staff was nice, by no means is my review related to how pleasant the workers were and how they handle a Friday night rush of drunkards.

It's purely the food, it's overpriced and most offensively, bland. There's ways to spice up melts and grilled cheese sandwhiches...they sadly have not figured the idea out. It's even more unjustified by the price pricepoint, considering it's $25+ you'll easily spend on 2 sandwhiches and a bowl of soup.

Comfort food can be excellent with the right ingredients, but this is neither unique or even a proud display of very basic ingredients. It just seem like they're not even trying.

Which sucks because even if your main crowds are a bunch of hipsters looking for a late night snack, this quality of food doesn't do anything special to hit-the-spot.

They put mac & cheese on a grilled cheese, they're brilliant. Amazing place and great food & great people.
