Everything was awesome food and waitress & servers. We had brisket to die for, catfish, shrimp, ribs, greens, jambalaya.

Atmosphere is good. Food is subpar at best. Prices are too high for the lack of quality in food. Potato salad was sweetened whipped mashed potatoes, baked beans where more like soup beans no sweetness just boiled beans, green beans had tomatoes and hot sauce(weird) brisket needed more seasoning. Also very limited in bbq sauce selection, limited as in only 1 kind, really wish there where more than 1, cuz that 1 wasnt that great. Best thing we ate were the ribs, fried shrimp and the cole slaw. Really love the atmosphere, good service, just wish the food was much better, proud mary shouldnt be proud, she should be disappointed, i was.

Amazing catfish bites. Service, drinks, and everything else is just okay, but the catfish bites are amazing.

Go for the atmosphere. It's a neat location down on the river.

Wasn't overly impressed, but I may try it again. $5.50 for a plastic cup of beer didn't impress me at all. BBQ was not bad. Brisket was pretty good, ribs were a little over done.

By far the best BBQ in Lexington. Servers and bartenders are outstanding on taking care of us and drinks were perfect. Met the cook sbowed me how they smoke the meat. Pretty awesome to see it done. Give this place a try you wont regret it.

BBQ was really good. This place has a huge patio that is three different levels. Live music and great scenery. A good place to relax and watch river traffic.

The food was excellent. It's unique on the river and would be a great afternoon drive on a sunny day. Lots of outside seating. I had the brisket grilled cheese and jambalaya. They have seafood too.

Delicious food. Love the crawfish boils in the summer! And the outside patio is Awesome! Family environment upstairs, party environment downstairs on the patio with a sandy corn hole area and outside bar over looking the river.

We went here for a friends birthday party. We ordered food at 5:30 and waited for our food for over 3 hours. We talked to all the workers and eventually talked to the owner and she said she would check and never came back. We eventually got someone else s food even though it was not what we ordered we ate it anyways because we were so hungry. They never came back to check on us so we left. Terrible experience!

I went tonight (7/28/19) but left after 15 minutes, a rude, silly, not funny ,waitress said I couldn't have my non alcoholic Arizona tea. I was down at the picnic tables waiting for some bad cover band to play.
Wont ever go back.

Placed a to go order last weekend and had the steak and it was one of the best that I had ever ate anywhere but the reason that I'm giving 4 stars it's because I ordered the same thing the weekend after and it wasn't the same the steak wasn't seasoned at all and just tasted like a plane Jane it was cooked perfect but just no taste Like the one that I had before maybe they have different Cooks not sure. But I would recommend it but not sure if you'll get the same every time

Food is terrible and not worth the price you pay. I guess the food would be good for a drunk. The night life is great on the weekends and a relaxing location. I give 3 stars for the night life and beautiful location

Good BBQ, live music, kid friendly! Have outside sand lot to play boards & kid toys.

If u like fried catfish, this is the place! Very friendly service with a warm atmosphere. I've been there twice and was not disappointed. I will b going back in the future!

Drinks and atmosphere good. Food not so much got the mahi with shrimp and crab. A little dry and shrimp was little frozen ones you buy at the grocery. Not as pictured and cooked to long so was chewy. Have to just accept you can't get good seafood in KY. Was excited for dessert of strawberry shortcake and it was something you would buy at a grocery store bakery with strawberry gelee instead of fresh strawberry. A little overpriced for the quality served. Might go back to try the bbq because it looked and smelled good.

Was very disappointed on Saturday there. Drove out from Lexington to eat lunch. Wanted the Platter. Found out after getting seated that they were out of crab legs. No offer of substituting was made. They just said I couldn't order it. Tried something else and didn't enjoy it and barely ate it. The pick 4. Not feeling like I'll ever be going back or recommending this place ever again. Spoke with the owner Tommy the following day and he offered to do nothing to make it up to me. Just had a bunch of excuses! Tommy lied about being out of products that we actually had while we were there. Don t trust him and don t give this place your business!!!!

Great food, music and atmosphere. It's for everybody, bikers, rockers, golfers and families will all have a good time.

The location is on the bank of the Kentucky River. They have patio dining and inside dining. An inside bar. Lots of booze. Quite a popular place . When they say deep fried they mean it ! Music they play is loud and ok for adults but some of it is not ok for children. They need to censor the music. Food is a little pricey but decent. They need to warn customers of the hot spice in the fries and ribs. Live music some nights . It's more of a honky tonk than a family place. Customers range from families to bikers . Common to see Cadillacs and Mercedes Benz parked next to cycles. Go visit , hang out . See the river.

Although the food was delicious,the service was horrible. Had to wait an hour to be seated there was a wedding party down stairs but we were upstair just not enough seat for a weekend and our waitress was to busy talking to the fellas instead of waiting on her customer had to ask for a refill and took our food over an hour to get to is because I'm pretty sure she forgot to put the order in. Never asked if our food was ok until my husband was done . We sat there for 2 hours waiting for a table and food with a 10 month old baby finally after 10:15pm we got to eat. Food was good but the service will. Keep us from going back ,the manager came to our table and blamed all of it on the wedding party downstairs uhhh,I DON'T THINK SO!!!! CLEARLY THE SERVER HAD OTHER THINGS ON HER MIND!!! She actually sat down at a table full of young guys and took their order. Really????

Ate there last Saturday and sat at the bar. I ordered the brisket sandwich. It took FOREVER for it to arrive. I waited over 30 minutes to get my order. My date ordered the chicken wings, and had already finished her meal before my sandwich even arrived. Food was good, but service there is terrible! I recommend you eat elsewhere. This place is too close to great restaurants in Lexington for service to be this bad!

Drop your kayak in at Boonseboro beach and float down to Proud Mary's. Takes 4 or 5 hours. Great way to spend Saturday with friends. Live music, always very busy.

We went with another couple on Saturday night. We really liked the atmosphere and the staff was friendly. We sat right on the water behind the lower bar. The food and music were both excellent. The only reason I didn't rate it 5 stars is because the drinks were pricy and there was an odd odor that would blow through from time to time.

This place is a hidden gem! Sitting on the patio down by the river is nice and relaxing even on a hot day. The servers were very friendly and the food was delicious...especially the sausage! Skip the baked beans but I loved everything else about this place!

Friend suggested we try it out that it was awesome. Food was okay. Our waiter was not friendly. I felt out of place. I will not return. This place was hype up. Not for everyone.

One star for now. Haven't been there. Called. They're closed Monday and Tuesday? I guess they have their reasons. I suggest as an alternative, Clay's barbeque in Paris. I'm from the South(the way south)....I know BBQ and Clay's has nailed it. Paris is a great little town to hang out in also. Great little shops, friendly people and many more great eating establishments. Visit Claiborne farms for a tour and meet some of the most famous horses in the world. Check out the Garden Club arboretum also. First Class.

Owner / Manager was nice and took us as a table of 4 at the very end of the evening.
The kitchen closed at 8:30 and we called ahead and we're told to come on. We arrived at 8:35. The hostess was picking her teeth while seating us (Yuck) and told us they were about out of food. Ugh! The food arrived cold, undercooked and not cooked properly (crab legs cooked in deep fryer). The appetizers were the best. The service was mediocre, at best. We waited for drink refills and was brought the wrong meal.
Do not plan to return anytime soon, if ever.

Again not a fan of the mask. But restaurant ask to wear them while not at a table. We set 20ft from the kitchen out door. At least four kitchen works had no mask nor gloves. The owner himself no mask in or out of the kitchen. Myself I stay my social distance wash my hands. Side portions have gotten smaller food not as hot as it should be especially with no mask or gloves being worn in kitchen.

Nice time down by the river. Great food, fun band, the place is hopping!

My husband and I went to see Tee Dee Young play on May 24th. Service was slow we waited for over an hour for our food. When we finally got the food the order was wrong, the catfish was delicious cooked to perfection the drink we ordered was good too! The show was great we will definitely go back but make sure to get a table don't order from the bar.

As a fellow small business owner from a small town in Louisiana, I wanted to support this place, just as I did with Furlongs. This place has so much potential. But the management and staff miss the mark by a long shot. I had been looking forward to their Mardi Gras event for 2 months. I even took a day off of work and made sure to call ahead a few weeks ago to make reservations to ensure I had a spot. When I called, the owner told me they were only taking reservations for parties of 10 or more. I told him I was just a party of 2 and was concerned about getting in and he assured me to come on in. No worries. I got there at 5:15. The place had people but it wasn't packed yet. There were plenty of empty tables. When we walked in there was a hostess and 2 servers at the podium. When I told them my party was 2, the one server (the hostess was ignoring me altogether) asked if we had a reservation and I told her no, because when I called I was told unless we were a party of 10 we didn't need to. The girl then winced and said, well, it's going to be a while. I asked, "what is a while? Like, an hour?: And she said, "at least 45 minutes to over an hour." Stunned, I looked around at the empty tables and full bar and said, "but this is a buffet. lol Wow." So not only were they ill-prepared for this event, but they basically told us, unless you were a party of 10, screw you. The most insulting was as we were walking back out, the owner spotted us and asked us how everything was. I turned around and said, "wouldn't know. Never got seated because we were told there was an hour wait". His response was a look of confusion and then he muttered "I'll have to see about that" and went back to what he was doing and left it at that. I just shrugged and kept walking. If he doesn't want my business, then I'll go somewhere else. I drove 20 minutes from downtown to this place, only to be turned back around and drive back through 5 o'clock traffic. The whole 45 minute trip was an absolute waste of time. Such a huge disappointment. I had been here before last summer for a crawfish boil and had a completely different experience. If you notice, the reviews are all over the place. Now I know why: Poor organization and management. Bottom line: the food is great, but the trek going there is not worth the gamble of having either a good or terrible experience all because the service is inconsistent and staff and management are unpredictable. The restaurant business is very saturated, especially in Lexington. There are plenty of other competitive places that I will give my money to. My hope is that the owner will read this review and see this as constructive criticism and take this seriously enough to make the necessary changes to prevent another patron from feeling insulted and disappointed.

We love the food friends and lower bar great place to sit an relax

The BBQ hasn't disappointed yet, staff is always attentive and friendly. Food comes out a little slow, but it's BBQ, is rather wait for it to be done right than get it sooner. The only thing I was sad about was that you can't get ribs when they open. We were told it'd be another hour before they were ready. The ribs and the brisket are out of this world. I'll come later next time.

Our waiter was high on something and then tried to double charge us. When we questioned it they made a big ordeal and escorted us out like we had done something wrong. They were very rude and I ll never go back there again

I love the deck overlooking the ky river. The food is great, good music on the weekeends. Call before you go the hours are a little screwy

First off the place is super HOT. If I wanted to set outside I would have set on the patio. All garage doors where open. There should be a place to relax in air if wanted. When we walked in we we're told to sit any where by the blonde bar tender . Someone walked up to our table and asked if someone had waited on us we said no. He got our drink order,then we had to ask for a menu. Food was ok, coleslaw however was not. The bar tender was sweating profusely and so was our waiter. We were too for the most part. Not an over all horrible experience, but not going back nor would I highly recommend to anyone.

Food was out of the world. If u walk out hungry that's your fault. Good portions abs fast service. Most definitely will be going back

Went for a special event and was sorely disappointed! Food was mediocre, poor service, too bad , because the owners were personable and friendly. Won t be back
