Awesome atmoshpere and good service. However my pulled pork sandwich was literally half fat. Some people like that I guess, but I was highly disappointed.

Fantastic bar for a mostly chill evening. Decent Live music many nights without being an overbearing atmosphere as long as you don't sit to close to it. Interesting and delicious twist for bar food menu and great local and otherwise beer choices.

Ok.busy Friday night. Hostess could have been better. Empty tables on the deck but we could not be seated there. Said that no tables were available.. music a little too loud for inside.

It's a very cool place! Sits right on the river.
Drinks are decently priced. Food frankly wasn't good at all. We ordered the sampler ( pulled chicken, ribs, brisket, jambalaya) none of which was good. Side dishes are served in a shot glass. The " homemade" bbq that give you tastes like cheap ketchup. We were sharing the platter and had to share the silverware, we asked for an extra set, but it was never brought to us.
We sat at the bar ( it was busy) none of the 5 bartenders paid us a mind. We ended up ordering through a random server. We asked for the tab 4x throughout the course of an hour before it was given to us.
I'd go back for drinks solely because it's a cool place. I wouldn't eat there again however.

The service was excellent, the food was amazing, and the owner (maybe manager) even double checked that we were ok while we were waiting on the side of the road for the rest of our party. Strongly recommend.

The food was very good but the service was pretty bad. For an open seating, no wait, restaurant on a Friday night it shouldn't have taken over an hour for me to get my food. Not pleased. I stopped by to get a bite to eat while traveling and did not want to stay as long as I did. Not worth my time even though the food was good. Get more staff in the kitchen and more waitresses.

Super cool place to stop for quick bite and a cold beer

The food was excellent! The brisket was delicious, however my server/bartender was very rude and only paid attention to the customers she obviously knew or was friends with. Had to flag her down several times and she had an attitude when asking for service. I believe her name was Haylee. She was also very involved with her text messages and even ignored me when asking for bbq sauce and ketchup so she could finish her text, another server had to bring me the things I asked for. I typically don't leave these types of reviews because I know from experience what working in customer service is like, but my encounter with her was very off putting and made me question my decision in dining there. I have never witnessed such blatant disrespect from someone. The fact that Haylee only looked up to speak with me after she finished her text message was enough to make me never want to eat there again.

I loved it! The atmosphere was amazing and so were the food and drinks. I definitely plan on going back again.

Catfish bites were fantastic. Frog legs needed one more minute in the fryer, but very good. The service is outstanding.

Literally the most unsafe restaurant to go to during COVID. Shared sauces on table. Kids running wild everywhere with out mask. Adults go inside and outside without mask on by other tables. Multiple groups of more than 10. Servers wearing mask below their noses. Tables are 6 ft apart BUT not with the chairs included. You all need someone enforcing the rules. Would be a fun place to go if it wasn t during COVID and does have good food. But you all seriously need to step it up.

Good food and great atmosphere makes this the summer place to be! Great live music from local and regional acts from around kentucky..

We came here during lunch time when it wasn't too busy and it was awesome! The food was delicious. Everything we got was awesome. We sat at the bar near the water and the bartender, I think her name was Hailey, was super nice and funny. The berry margarita is so good.

Food was really good. The portions weren't that big though. Fun spot to hang out if you like outdoors.

Disappointed....tried them during Lexington Restaurant Week. They had trouble with their natural gas line. Ok, things happen, I get it. But we were there on a busy entertainment night. They have bands regularly. They seriously cannot handle the crowd. I can't drink on an empty stomach, thank goodness I wasn't driving. We couldn't get food service and left. I don't know if we will be back.

Good food, good drinks, great location on the Kentucky River in Lexington!

Maybe just the dish I ordered but it was kinda tasteless, seemingly missing some basic ingredients. Otherwise the sides and fride prickles are amazing and so is the service.

My first time here, and the food was great. I visited during a slow time, and they didn't have anything going on at the time. This place was huge, lots of seating inside/outside and a separate bar area. There is an outdoor stage area for performers. I could imagine this place being packed when they do have an event.

Good food and price. Entertainment was good and the staff were really good. I would recommend eating here. Only complaint is the side salad portion is really small compared to other restraunts.

Have always had a good experience! Cold drinks, great portions, friendly service! The fans at the river bar really help out on a hot afternoon. Been several times & have never had a bad experience! Highly recommend

I ate at around 3:00pm before the Saturday dinner crowd and it was a very wonderful visit. It was beautiful outside, our waiter was friendly and attentative, the food was so good (fried shrimp had the most crispy, not at all greasy, coating on it, brisket was perfect, sides so tasty) and the location is awesome. A few of our side dishes were not the ones we ordered, but they were so quick to correct it that it was not even that big of a deal. I will be back to experience the live music and night scene for sure.

Worst management I've ever experienced. Food was awful for the price. Highly recommend going somewhere else. If your looking to eat on the river Halls on the river is close by and it has better scenery, better food, and better management/staff! Was iffy about going in the first place and now I regret giving them a penny

Fun drive, funky setting, terrific service, awesome meat... but the rest of the food tastes like it came straight from the freezer or a can from Gordon's supply.

Food was great and we enjoyed sitting on the patio! We will definitely return again.

This place is gives you a great southern feel when caught between the north and south. "Comfortable" describes it best. All the servers seemed impeccable. Ours was Hayden. He was impressive, as was the food. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone asking for major stops in Lexington.

Food is ok. Nothing amazing. We've only had poor service once. We sat down and waited for 20 minutes before our waitress even showed up at the table.

Excellent food and excellent service. One of our favorites especially in the warmer weather enjoying the downstairs bar overlooking the river! High recommend!

Worth the visit. If you're traveling and need to stop for lunch or dinner, skip the fast food restaurants and sit down for some good food. Quick service and great atmosphere, sitting right on the river.

Holy cow this place was amazing! Unfortunately it was raining when we stopped so we weren't able to enjoy the outdoor seating. The also have lube music. Meat was delicious and stood on its own. All the sides we ordered we're delicious. All of my kids commented positively about their meals, spontaneously even! Looking forward to our next visit through the area so we can stop back!

I'm only giving 4 stars for the food. I ordered crab legs and they were GREAT!!! However, the waiter was awful. We waited almost an hour to get our food. Others who came in after us received their food way before we did. Come to find out the waiter forgot to place our order. The manager walked by and asked us what time we got there. She realized what happened at that point. She simply apologized and that was it. We were never given a percentage off of our meal, or anything to compensate for the poor service. At least our food was good.

Great food and service, we sat out on the patio and were socially distant.

Didn't know what to expect but it was the best pork ribbs I've ever had! Next time I'll have the ribeye! Wish they had a loaded baked potato thou! Crab cakes are sooo good here too!

Went for Mardi Gras, food was ok, not great. Ridiculous beer and drink prices. Not organized well. On a good note, I like the atmosphere on regular days, staff is friendly. I will be visiting again to sip a beer on the river...hopefully it won't be $6.00 a beer.

My all out favorite Lexington, Kentucky hangout for great food, great music and a great Family running the show. A great experience all under one roof.

The food was great, really. Ordering said food and paying for those items were difficult. I wager when they dont have events its easier, but we had time for sure. When we ordered it was brought to us in to-go containers, and we had to flag down our waiter well after we received oyr drinks. He didn't bring our food, another woman did and when we asked about an actual to go order, she said she woupd find someone for us, she asked a waitress walking by who said she didn't know who was working our table and she wasn't going to. Then the woman left... And we waited on our waiter. Who by the way was very polite... once we ate and finished our drinks, we waited for our check, and waited and waited... They began closing up and we found our waiter and had to request our check. This was my first experience, since becoming Proud Maries.

Great atmosphere. Right on the Kentucky River. Went midday. The food was really good. Great coleslaw. The crawfish estovee was really nice. Deep fried shrimp was great. Catfish was good, on the average side. The brisket had good flavor. However the ribs were bland. No flavor on the rub and the meat was ok, not great. However the house BBQ sauce saved the ribs.
The staff was nice.

This place has really good BBQ. I tried both their brisket and pulled chicken. Some of the best I've had. They have 2 sauces, both are very good (one is a spicy sauce). Of the sided I tried, the only one I liked was the potato salad, which has a mashed potato like base. The other sides were a bit disappointing. When you get a BBQ plate, you get pickles, onion, and a slice of light bread. These additions do not seem to complement the meal and feel like after thoughts. The other thing I was surprised about is they are Dog Friendly, so feel free to bring you dog if it is well behaved.

We attended the first annual Crawfish Festival yesterday. And, unfortunately, it wasn't as good of an experience I had hoped for.
Though our server, Hazel, did the best she could the kitchen apparently was so far in the weeds that part of our party, who arrived later, never even got their food after waiting for over 2 hrs.
The venue was grossly understaffed, food runners had no idea who received what and where as they approached our table numerous times to ask if we had ordered this, that or the other...you would think that the POS orders would also assign the table number. Drink waits were uncomfortably long as it was hot and muggy out...not enough bartenders. The servers all looked unhappy and wore a look that said they preferred being elsewhere. Utensils were short, as we had nothing to crack our crabs with. At one point toilet paper and paper towels in the ladies room were absent and the restaurant ran out of ice.
The music was difficult hear for lack of volume or the manager just failed to turn off the jukebox music, which we had to request. Two musical entertainers that sounded good when we could hear them but their sets were short.
If it hadn't been for the great company we had, it would have been a wash and we would have stayed shorter time
This place has a lot of potential if managed in the right hands and staffed with people who actual cared about the customers and their job.
Good luck to u...can't imagine this place staying open for long.

A must-visit for anybody in the Lexington surrounding area. I visited during a river cleanup, and was delighted by the PLATINUM level of service. The attendants/servers were friendly and the barbecue itself was delicious. Sugar smoked pulled pork? I ate an entire pound of it, enjoyed an extra tall margarita, and considered it luxurious. For such a fair price, too!
