Disgusting behaviour - when asked to speak to a supervisor they just terminated the call - when I called back to speak to the operations manager - no one is available - Im still waiting for a return call after a significant time.

I have been getting multiple calls from these people from a private number all hours of the day. They never left a voicemail. Calls received on 9pm on a Sunday included. I got an SMS yesterday so I called and gave the reference number. They said I owed $17 to TransUrban, which is the new name for Roam Express I believe. She asked me to pay immediately. I requested they email me an invoice first. She said they would do that but first I had to commit to a payment date. Again, I said no, I wanted to see the invoice first to cross check my records. She took my email address and said the invoice would be sent immediately. I am still waiting for the invoice 24 hours later.

When advised that they had data incorrect re a demand for payment, refused to acknowledge the error, and insisted that it was not their fault. Ended the call when pressed not to send further spurious demands. Staff tended not to listen, just spout a rehearsed line.

I tried to gather information to past on to my son who at the moment is un employed which they knew (Probe) as they have been told earlier . but of course there is no record of this and when you try to tell them you spoke to a person by this name, they say sorry that person doesn't work here or never has. the rude person on the phone just hang up

Currently being harrassed, both my husband and I, they call me to speak to my husband??? Ive told them to stop calling and that we have no debt.
Paid a bill late once thats when all this started receiving letters and phone calls from these guys- spoke to my energy company they said that was weird and they had nothing on their system and i had a go at them too for not sending out a notice letter about an unpaid bill. After reading these reviews i can clearly say they are definitely scammers and it makes sense to why the energy company hasnt got it on there system. As others have stated - go get a real job!

I know a debt collection agency isn't going to give a single care about a negative review but whatever. Probably just get lumped in with someone who 'doesn't pay debts' But seriously, these guys have chased me for a debt I'm already paying a different company for numerous times.

I have informed them a different company is handling the debt and when I do tell them they say they will look into it. Despite this they have contacted me again and are still trying to get me to pay for a debt I'm already paying. I don't think they looked into it at all and just go through the motions.

I don't know what these guys are doing but they seriously need to get their act together. It's unacceptable that they are trying to pressure me into paying money for a debt that is being handled by a different agency.

It's stressful especially while COVID-19 is ongoing to have people trying to squeeze even more money out of you, especially when they don't have the right to take it but act like they do.

Accidentally transferred $100 to this company inst...

Accidentally transferred $100 to this company instead of to my parents for a private loan as I had their bank details saved in contacts. Tried to contact them many times to get the money returned and never got anywhere. The line quality is so terrible it makes it really hard to hear what they are saying (where are you based?!.) and the customer service reps have lousy English which makes it hard to effectively communicate. Not surprising really for a debt collection company but disappointing since it doesn t need to be this way.

Looks like no one here (all the 1 starrers) likes to pay their debt :)

I had a call from them recently as i missed one of my payments and I have to say they were so friendly, patient, and helpful. I would have stayed on the call for an average of 45 to 60mins (for eg. centrelink; just wait time) to get this sorted if i chose to call the actual company i owe to.

If you have not made you payment towards water bill, centrelink, ato, or whatever you got chased for, these companies to manage collections in an economical manner have to refer to external collections. Firstly its your fault you didnt pay on time .. no excuses.

Some of you have said they ask you so many information without giving their information - you have to be thankful they know that bit of managing information privacy. Dont you read news of how your information gets stolen and get abused in so many ways. And if you look up you can find these collection agencies listed on most of their client's site (for eg. google for 'ato probe' and you will know).

The one-star comments only show the ignorance and perhaps deceitful the person is.

Probe called me about an amount of $26 which had apparently been outstanding since 2010 with Eastlink. The rep gave me an account number which isn't my Eastlink account number. When I advised that this information is incorrect (I logged into my Eastlink account while on the phone) I was told I would need to contact Eastlink to discuss it. I made it quite clear that if Probe is going to waste it's many resources (probably overseas based on the quality of the line and delay) calling me over $26 they should first take charge of their own information. Probe, if your information is incorrect it is your job to get the correct information, not mine. I promise you that my hourly rate is more than $26 and if you expect me to do your research for you I'll send you the bill for my time.

Terribly managed company. They have been harassing me for months over a non existing "debt" to optus. After contacting Optus directly they told me these people were scammers and not to pay them anything, AND that I indeed did not have any money owing to them. Do not pay these people ANYTHING they are a scam.

And on phone it says , that am calling after ours, there opening hours are Monday to Friday 8:00am to 8:00pm

I have settled debt with Big Four Bank, but Probe continue to send threatening Letters, plus Phone system is hopeless, I had to Ring on 1300 No 4 times before anyone answered, last week, I rang 3 times, and I hung up after 3 mins phone ringing no answer, Poor all round.

When you say you're going to get back to interviewees in 24-48 hours and you don't then you shouldn't be in the recruitment business. Rude staff, not contactable, fob off phone calls, don't reply to emails within the time frame specified on their website. Avoid like the plague.

Received a text to call urgently. I called and got told I had a $30 debt that had to be paid immediately or it would go up to $180. I said okay I'll pay, to which she replied and said 'it says here it's already been paid'. No idea why I received a text message 30 minutes beforehand!? Ridiculous, confusing and unprofessional.

Absolutely useless. Cant believe they even call themselves a business. Resolved a small debt for an energy bill 6 weeks ago, and still get calls from them saying it has not been paid. Finally resolved it all today by me contacting them with bank statements proving the bill was paid. they then say i am now in credit with them for the amount they told me i owed? Seriously useless. Just received another call 4 hours later from someone else at Probe telling me i have an outstanding debt that needs to be paid for the same amount again. I dont usually write reviews, but this company is hopeless, rude and very unprofessional. Zero stars. Hope i never have to deal with them again.

Received a phone call from some bloke by the name ...

Received a phone call from some bloke by the name of Henry Chasing an apparent outstanding debt that does not even exist.

I proceeded to explain to Henry that I had just gone through this with Optus and Dunn and Bradsreet and the matter is closed with both parties being Optus and Dunn and Bradstreet being wrong as there was nothing owing on this very old account, I also offered to support this by offering to email the letters I received from Optus and Dunn and Bradstreet apologising got their error.

I called Optus as I had a issue with this previously with a debt collection agency and they informed me that I owe them nothing everything is up to date in fact they owe me $6.52

When I call Henry back confirmation this information he did not like it that I was right and he was wrong also these people claim they are from Optus but the fact is they are a private company operating on behalf of other businesses.

They did not like it when I stood up for myself, Henry hung up on me I so constantly run him back until he took this of his books.

In the end he asked me to stop harassing him which I had to laugh about as I mentioned he was the one who started harassing me and when I told him that he had wrong information he was adamant he was right, well he was totally wrong

An absolute fifth-bag of a company. They will not provide any details about what my debt is for or how much it is until I first provide all my personal details to them. I have not borrowed money in 15 years or ever failed to pay for something. The operator I spoke to has a very strong accent and is difficult to understand. I have no idea what they are on about and am unable to find out. Probe needs to be probed.

Idiots - chasing me for a non existent debt with Optus neither Optus or Probe staff have authority to investigate to realise that Optus' own correspondence says it is a mistake . Firstly they said they were part of Optus then said they were a independent debt collector . Charging people on 1300number and then putting you on hold for 20 minutes only to speak to noone - hung up . Deplorable Optus should be ashamed. Bad business.

Incredibly rude customer service, useless staff couldn't even give me the proper details to allow me pay my debt. Staff made inappropriate financial comments about my debt that were elitist and insulting. The staff are glorified telemarketers and need a lesson in empathy and respect.

They are looking to collect money from a company that had not started operating.
They say their offices are open longer to Friday and until 2pm on saturay, yet, when you call during these hours, you get a recorded message advising you to call between those hours.

Harassment beyond it. 32 calls and counting for a Telstra debt that was paid 8 months ago! They call at 12pm every day and when I call back ask for finalisation of the account even though I'm disputing it. The girl I have just spoken too said they don't even keep notes. When I asked what the bill was for they couldn't even bring up the account. I hate Telstra but these guys are harassment 101. Filing a complaint with the ACCC and the Ombudsman tomorrow.

No one likes debt collectors. But I come from the US, so I guess my experience with these guys must just look good by comparison or something. Took me more than a year to pay off $2k AUD and Probe was patient/understanding at every step. Debt collectors do a job that earns them a lot of hate, but whoever's writing the collection policies at Probe seems to have a very very patient and forgiving nature (at least to the extent that such a thing can be true of a debt collector). The multiple-times-a-day collection calls are annoying, but I guess if I didn't want collectors calling me, I shouldn't have gotten in debt in the first place. I was offered settlement discounts at least 10 different times, despite repeated late payments. Back home, I would have been credit listed months ago and been charged hundreds of dollars of legal fees. Seriously cannot believe how patient these guys are.

I don't like the idea of mirroring citizens for citizens in roles of top-class intellectuals in areas of technical or precise response to customer complaints and / or technical needs. For example, when Salmat is sold, public transport or other contracts are maintained and staff kept. A timely sale with a 5-year contract can be viewed as a tender round to evade and or fulfill the competition.

One would wonder, Salmat has sold the call centre with government tenders like public transport to Probe and without control or decision-making to daily operations for a sum, thus without the government tender re-advertised for equality in fair competition.

I received the dodgiest looking email from The Probe Group wanting money from me, through their client CityLink Melbourne: about an overdue bill - AFTER I had spoken to CityLink about a payment plan.
The Email was dressed up as a "CityLink" member with no signature.
I received numerous phone calls from them that was borderline harassment and wanting my personal information to 'identify' me.
Called CityLink to confirm they are legit and unfortunately they are.
They aren't scammers apparently - they just appear that way.
I advised them I was putting in VERY negative feedback to them and I refused to pay the 'Probe Group' any money on the sheer fact they are HIGHLY unprofessional and they look seriously dodgy.
Fortunately CityLink were gracious about it and I don't have to deal with them.

Got a text message to call them about an account with optus. Person I spoke to was rude and aggressive and told me it was to be paid immediately otherwise it would go to a third party. I was not aware that I had any outstanding payments with optus as I had received a message from optus 2-3 weeks earlier saying that the fees had been waived.

Absolutely disgusted with a threat of debt collection after I paid a small amount owing over the phone. At the time, I dealt with a woman who should probably not be working in customer service. I am extremely angry with Probes modus operandi and would have loved to deal with them in person and give them a 'what for' for their deception and trickery. This company needs a full check up.

Worst customer service! Rudest lady Ive ever spoken to. I asked to set up a payment plan as I couldn't pay in full, she kept insisting I pay half the amount today which was $100, I kept saying I couldn't afford it, even after telling her I was homeless she was asking for half the money today. I kept asking what the minimum price is and after asking 10 times she told me the minimum is only $25 but she tried to make me pay $100.

Zero Stars for this company would probably be generous. They have been harassing me for 3 years over a debt for a person who gave them a wrong number. I have informed them over 30 times and requested they never contact me again, asked to go on a do not Call list. Staff seem to agree to remove number yet time and time again nothing happens and calls continue. They won't listen to reason, escalations get you nowhere. Over 100 calls in total for being unlucky enough to have my number be wrong number on file. Breaching privacy laws and debt collection laws - no one should use this company especially not the Australian Government using tax payers money.

I am completely over having 9 phone calls a day, it is extremely disrespectful and im completely over it, this is un called for yes I get it people owe money but harassment is probable course for a LAW SUIT! and that is the point I am getting to. if I get another phone call I from rude inconsiderate workers I will loose my mind at the person at the other end of the phone, plus id like to know why when I've been paying weekly why my debit seems to be going up instead of down! you don't seem to want to answer my emails so ill put it here for everyone to see.

They keep ringing with "No Caller ID" about 5 times a day, over the last 8 weeks, chasing up an Eastlink debt of $7.00.....really???? I refuse to answer No Caller ID calls, but finally had enough tonight (yes, ringing at dinner time is a nuisance too) and couldn't believe the harassment over a debt under $10!!

After many months. I keep receiving text messages from this company saying I owe money. I have told them I do not pay bills over the phone. I have asked for a copy of the bill to be sent to my address. I have still not (after 4 attempts) received the account. Very poor customer service. And I was also threatened to pay the account... that I haven't EVER seen!
I cannot help if they are unable to follow instructions. I guess this saga will continue.

They wouldn't even explain what I actually owe on the phone either but expect me to pay over 20k owing + late fees hahah told them I'll pay nothing at all and to take me to court and hung up. update.. keep receiving text and calls, they still wont tell me what I owe money for.

I have had people claiming to be from Probe calling me for the last two months telling me I owe Telstra money. They ask for date of birth and credit card payment straight away. Thankfully I'm not that stupid and know it's a scam so please be aware.
