I've been loyal to PCMC for more than 13 years. i think its time to change for more reputable hospital. I've requested for medical report for my Socso claim and till today after more than a month im still unable to get it. I was told by Record Dept , my attended dr i.e Dr Deepak Sigh was too busy with patients and dont have time to prepare the report. Better change your motto from 'we care' to We Dont Care' instead! Bye Bye PCMC

I have been to this hospital couples of time, thus far the service is good, the staff have always been pleasant, which I have not experience any where close to this from other hospital. This hospital do not give me a sick and drowning feeling, instead it feels peaceful and professional.

It was rather the most disappointing experience for a hospital with an alleged very high rating .The manner in which the information relayed 4 hrs before the scheduled appointment was very encouraging . Following the defined timelines I showed up at the admissions 10 mins before admission closing time . Everyone had gone home ! . I followed the next set of instruction on if I decided to go directly to emergency instead . I reached there and guess what ...please take a seat as the files from the reception area should arrive in 5mins .....20mins later they showed up and i was called . Well did my bit in a flash on the forms and then the one attending was frenetically calling some one without success . Then one more desperation attempt was made and somebody answered . With that the person once again suggest I sit for five mins . Well twenty mins later I went over and said it has been an hour since I arrive and nothing has moved . Coincidentally the person who was meant to guide me to the test center arrived . I followed and was take to the place where I was supposed to be attended to for the reason I was there . The nurses were amazed to see me there and after I mentioned the reason for being there they guided me to a room and said that at 10 the personnel undertaking the procedure would be there i.e. in a few mins . Well after 25mins I went out of the room and asked the nurses for a reason for the delay . Allegedly they left as they did not recieve my call back ...I showed them the phone logs confirming I had responded ..Again they were on the way and on prompting they were coming from outside . The reason was that they had left for the day because I did not answer their call . I pulled out my phone and showed them that I did missed the calls but within a few mins had called back . Oh ! were the words . Okay okay coming soon . How soon ..soon ... so I said I will wait for a few mins and then it might be better for me to go back . Few mins few mins . Well I waited and then after a while went out and mentioned to the nurses that no body had shown up ..after I said I am leaving and will go to GH to get better attention .the nurse said they were in the building ....she called and after a few rings the other side answered .. the person was at the other entrance . Ok we went in and yes the person had arrived. The person then recognizing the situation tried explaining ...I showed her the phone logs to ensure that I had responded and it was an internal prince court matter . Then came the issue of the procedure the person assumed I knew it all and asked if i had been given the pamphlet for the prep and insight . I said no and the person acknowledged that they would go back and question on the matter . Well then it was time to lie on the bed ....I asked if I had to change ...no was the answer ...I said I was not about to sleep in my work clothes ....and asked if there were hospital gowns I could slip into. There were none . The person went out and after about seven mins came with the gown and said the nurse was looking for the pajamas and they would be different as there was not set available !! However in a few seconds there after the nurse arrived with a new set and another with a refresher kit . I changed and proceeded to undertake the procedure . The procedure finished in the morning and I left the hospital in desperation to get a meal as otherwise I would have to wait for another 1.5 hrs . As i exited there was a surprise look on the nurses at the floor reception ..I wished them well for the day and moved on after them confirming I had nothing else to pay / sign etc. SOUNDS LIKE A FAIRY TAIL BUT A REAL ONE WITH A BAD TASTE ......IN A NUTSHELL ...MY ROUTINE ATTENDANCE HAD BEEN PLEASANT BUT THIS ONE BLOWS EVERYTHING OUT OF THE WATER . TWO HOURS AND TWENTY MINS LATER IS WHAT IT TOOK TO COMMENCE THE PRE BOOKED PROCEDURE THAT IS UNDERTAKEN AS A ONE OF DAILY ONLY ......BIS MALL FROM MY PERSPECTIVE FOR THE SERVICE PROVIDED ON THIS OCCASION . NOT WORTH THE DOLLARS CHARGED .

Waiting time - depends on GL/insurance approval. S...

Waiting time - depends on GL/insurance approval. Sometimes it can be very quick, sometimes it can be very slow. Pharmacy department really need an improvement. Too many patient waiting for medicine but only 2 person at a time in-charged at the counter even though there are several counter provided specially for it. Obviously they're understaffed. I suggest utk appointment dgn specialist pun jgn letak terlalu byk slot dalam satu2 masa kerana akan berlaku masalah seperti di gov hospital iaitu appointment pukul 11am, pukul 1pm pun belum tentu dpt jumpa doktor since patient sebelumnya masih belum settle consultation dgn doktor. Better walk-in shj kalau ada appointment card pun masih menunggu lama mcm tak buat appointment.

Admin staff/nurses - they're friendly & very helpful (most of the time). I suggest kena ada seorang staff yg attend the waiting patient since there's always a problem like patient menunggu terlalu lama tapi nobody attend them right after the registration process or in between waktu nak jumpa doktor/masuk wad. Kalau 2 jam, 2 jam la patient tu terbiar di situ menunggu. I mean, at least, there's someone yang dtg 'bermanis mulut' supaya kesabaran mereka menunggu terlalu lama dapat diredakan.

Facilities/amenities - Hospital equipment not outdated which is good. Ward is comfortable. Kedai mkn/souvenirs not much but ok. Kita pergi hospital sebab sakit & nak berurusan dgn medical practitioner. Bukan nak pergi shopping. Nak lawat org sakit better beli buah tangan siap2 kat tmpat lain, lebih byk pilihan. Tarik Cafe's food quite pricey but tasteless. Parking lot is not a problem. Just pay for it.

Overall, ok je.

i would like to give my pwrsonal feedback.
pcmc really need to improve your customer service and internal process.
i come at 945 for my 1015 apt, only end up meeting the doctor at 1055, n only for 2 min before i was re-routed to registration counter, to request for another GL.
Spend another good 1 hour waiting, before the staff at radiology asking me if I'm ok to sign a waiver letter, since the GL is late. Cant you do this upfront?? i clearly ask them earlier is there anything i can do or i should do. i bet this is typical issue with GL issuance faced by d hospital
spend 3 min doing ct scan, and re-route back to the doctor's clinic.
at d dr's clinic, im clearly asking d nurse, should i wait or redo d apt since its 1230 already n she ask me to wait because d dr was with another patient and it will be my turn next.
only at 1pm d nurse come again n said can i come back at 2pm because dr have emergency... logic ke??
wasting good 3 hrs. and im yet to see d doctor for d actual check up.

We went to the emergency room of the hospital, we were taken fairly quickly and the nurses and the doctor were very understanding and went out of their way to help us. We stayed in all 1h with a bag at the end with our bill, prescription and medication. No need to search for an emergency pharmacy at 2am.
Ps: we did not ruin

Do not go to Prince Court under any circumstances.

I went to PC because I was having chest discomfort and difficulty breathing, along with fatigue and fever. I arrived at 1130 am. By 2pm, I had yet to see a doctor. The nurses had come in and done 3 separate blood draws with zero explanation as to why. I had an EKG and chest X ray done, again with zero explanation as to why. Come 4pm i was informed that I would be admitted. Still zero explanation as to what was going on. I had to ask the guy handling the admittance paperwork (he was not part of the medical team) the reason for my admittance. He consulted the paperwork and told me RBBB was why I was being admitted. Neither he nor I knew what RBBB was. He had to look it up and apparently it's a heart issue.

Two more hours go by, still no doctor to come and explain what the RBBB is and why I need to be admitted. At this point I was moved upstairs to a private room. There was no doctor on the ward to come and explain to me what was going on. I spent the next 4 hours asking for a doctor only to be told "there's no doctor on site". I asked to be discharged so I could go to a different hospital and get a second opinion and maybe have a doctor explain to me what was going on. Unfortunately they couldn't discharge me because again, there was no doctor on site. They wouldn't allow me to leave so I had to wait until almost 1130pm before a doctor finally showed up to tell me what was going on. I didn't buy his explanation at all and again asked to be discharged. He obliged and I was finally able to go home and get some rest (I never would have been able to sleep had I stayed at the hospital, as they apparently allow visitors all night, and there were screaming kids and family gatherings on either side of me, which the staff did nothing about).

Two days later I began feeling better, so I travelled to Singapore for a second opinion. Turns out, there is absolutely nothing wrong with heart. All I had was the flu (PC did a swav test for the flu which came back negative, but it's fairly common knowledge that those tests are 50% accurate and shouldn't be used to rule out flu). So to recap, they ran 800usd worth of tests on me, admitted me, scared me into thinking I had a serious heart condition with no doctor to explain what is was or why they thought I had it, all because of the flu.

Do not go to PC under any circumstances. They will run unnecessary test on you and admit you for zero reason just to get money out of you.

Despite is a great and well design hospital the level of attention and services at the Emergency Dept is substandard . If you have serious issue avoid the Emergency Dept f this Hospital . After waiting for an hour I was at the Dr consultation room and he asked me to wait another 5 hours for an MRI because it was fully booked ( please remember that I was at the Emergency ) , I wasn't able to wait for so long and since my problem wasn't life treating they made an appointment for me the next day at 6 pm.
As per my booking card I was at the Radiology for my MRI when I came to know the Emergency Dept in real fact booked the wrong date . Yes the booking date on my card wasn't the same date confirmed at the radiology . I was asked dozen of time if I pay or I have an insurance , very annoying because everyone I met was asking the same question . Conclusion if you have a real emergency AVOID Prince Court Medical Centre .

The health screening was really bad, there is no system and it will take very long for your turn. Worst, i was told that they have to let some vvip cut queue which makes others wait for a longer period of time. the whole process will take around 6-7 hours. not recommended for elderly patients. Price was expensive and definitely not worth going. I hope PCMC will look into this matter seriously.

If you have an emergency, I could not recommend anyone to go to this hospital. We went to the emergency department because my baby had trouble breathing. The doctor that attended our baby said we need to admit him. Unfortunately all the rooms are fully booked and only VIP rooms are available, which cost RM1000 onwards. Our insurance doesn't cover this, and the doctor could not provide us any other option. So we left and went to Gleneagles instead. Fortunately they always reserved some rooms for emergency admission.

Very friendly and competent, many doctors who studied all over the world. I felt well treated, had a nice single bed room and a huge variety of food every day, even the view out of my window was great! I wish they would have given me a splint for my broken foot, but all in all I had a nice and comfortable stay at Prince Court medical center.

I recently visited their emergency room, although I would say a more accurate description would be a walk-in clinic then an emergency room. They were quick to see me, but the doctor was a disappointment. He seemed to be in a rush to send me on my way, although there were no other patients after me. He seemed to be more interested in his computer. I had a lab test done, but never received my results. Only after I called to inquire did they send them over. Even then, I did not receive an interpretation of the results. Overall, a disappointment. Yes, the hospital is clean and the administrative staff efficient, but the doctors are mediocre.

Why is this hospital getting so many bad reviews???...with typical PR response to the comments?..
Owner why is your hospital getting such devastating reviews after these important patients have spent so much of their time and hard earned money at your facility?...why do you have greedy incompetent doctors at your facility and how are you compensating patients for their terrible experience??
Is this your mission statement or are you just in the business of making cash over patients care and wellbeing??
You need some serious changes in your establishment and a much better HR and PR profile this is absolutely unacceptable in this day and age..
I would file a class action law suite for this amount of bad press on your standards and patient care you should be completely ashamed for treating People like this....

This hospital looks nice and shiny on the outside,...

This hospital looks nice and shiny on the outside, but is run by completely incompetent, emotionless, noncaring, money grabbers. They will put money even before the health of a 10 month old baby that hasn't been able to keep any fluid or liquids inside him for three days and is crying while in uncontrollable distress.

We took our fully insured son there for a severe stomach infection, and were informed we'd have to pay a 4000MYR deposit, which we were shocked by. How can a fully insured baby need a deposit of 4000myr simply for diarrhea? Now I know why... they will hold your deposit as long as they possibly can and offer you ridiculous excuses as to the reason why.

My wife was left for hours while I tried to come up with the money with a screaming, extremely sick 10 month old baby. It was an awful ordeal. The staff refused to help at all or find her anywhere in the hospital to try and calm down the baby. It was clear the staff and hospital did not care at all about the well being of the patients, just the cash.

In the end, I went down to speak to the admissions staff and asked how much deposits are for people with insurance, to which I was told 300MYR. I then asked why I was being asked for 4000MYR then, and they realised I was a patient and suddenly all the excuses started coming out. In other words, they had tried to rip us off to the tune of 3700MYR at the expense of my 10 month old baby's physical health and my wife's mental health. They then had no choice but to take 300MYR (on top of the initial deposit to see a doctor) for a total of 800myr. I was told the deposit would only be held and would be refunded instantly on discharge.

Of course, on discharge they suddenly couldn't give the refund as promised despite having a guarantee letter from our insurance. In fact, they denied ever having taken the 300MYR deposit, and if it wasn't for my arguing they would have tried to simply keep it. Also, now it was going to take 7 to 14 days.

Ten days later, I still have not received the refund. So I contacted PCMC, only to be told some more ridiculous excuses, but no surprise, they haven't issued the refund yet. It will be at least another 7 to 14 days.

Think about how much this hospital is holding in deposits at any one time, and how much interest they are making on that cash. It is an absolute scam.

They don't care about the health of their patients, even 10 month old babies, unless they have your cash in their pocket, even if you are fully insured.

Went to emergency because I felt a swelling in my throat, and was having a little trouble breathing. Wait wasn't too bad, and doctor was friendly, but he told me to make an appt. with a specialist for the next day, and gave me a blood test which was unnecessary. They didn't really try to figure out what was wrong with me. The nurses were stupid and kept asking me the same questions over and over. I left the place in tears and panicking. I mean I could have gone to a regular clinic, what's the point of an emergency centre.

I was hospitalized for 5 days due to acute bronchitis. From the moment I arrived at the emergency, the nurse takes care of everything. As I could not speak much due to having difficulty to breath, they treated me though I have not managed to get my GL from insurance yet. The doctor at emergency keep follow up on my condition until I get a room. There is waiting time as room are full but I was kept comfortable and treated well in emergency
I stayed at Ward5B, the nicest nurses and most professional that I have experienced as this is not my first time staying at Specialist Hospital. The room & amenities are good, very clean. Even the food taste good and the cleaner are very polite. At night I should see a nice KL panorama/lights.
Thanks to Dr. Daniel Lee and all the nurses for your excellent service. I would give 5 Star + for my experience here and surely will recommend to my friends & relatives.

At 8 am I took my daughter to the Emergency Department after hours without an appointment.
A young English-speaking teacher carefully examined me.
The registration fee, consultation fee, drug fee, and CT scan fee were 700 ringgit (about 17,000 yen).
I think that it is comfortable and cheap when I go to a general hospital in Japan without much waiting time.

My partner got dengue fever while in Thailand and ...

My partner got dengue fever while in Thailand and his high fever and all the symptoms started when we got to KL. From the medical assistance insurance, this hospital was recommended to us, despite not having agreements with Malaysia. The truth is that the attention was barbaric, very good. Very good doctors and nurses too. We had to move from the hostel to the hospital, but indirectly this hospital is like a hotel. On the first floor there are several places that you can buy to eat and drink. The standard room has a sofa bed where a person can sleep and stay with the one who is hospitalized. The truth, everything is very good. Very expensive. One of the most expensive in KL surely. And when it came to paying, when our insurance wanted to pay them online with a credit card, they were crazy that they didn't accept that and blah blah. They themselves suggest that our insurance find a 3rd to act as an intermediary and that 3rd pays them. When we managed to find the 3rd and send the guarantee letter to the hospital, they rejected it. In that sense the truth is that they only care about money, it is like a great company to tell the truth. We went pretty bad, they charge you absolutely for everything. It is convenient to buy the water in level 1 before consuming theirs, it is almost 7 times more expensive.
Even so, the nurses were very attentive and gave us all the necessary papers to make the relevant releases with our insurance, which covers everything.
It is recommended but you have to prepare your pocket !!!

I took advantage of my special medical coverage while on a work mission, and visited (as a tourist) this medical centre for an Executive Health Screening. Given the charges for this screening (high according to local standard), the medical services offered were good and very efficient (especially compared to similar services one can get in Europe). All tests were completed in the morning, and most results were available in the same afternoon. Waiting time was good, except a bit longer for ultrasound tests as there were a lot of patients.
Overall, the screening services were good. It has to note that they advertise their hospital as one of the world's top 10 for medical tourists. In this context, my experience may be a bit better than local patients receiving other medical services.
One weak point is their administration. After my visit, I rquested the hospital to help me fill up a form proving my overall health condition. The request was first directed to the wrong department and I had great difficulties in getting them understand a very simply request. Later, it was redirected to the correct department, and I got a reply that they would fulfill my request immediately. Now I have been waiting for 2 months, but I still have no news from them despite my repeated email follow-up.

Good service. However, if you come to register without printed GL, you will have to wait for the slow counter to process your registration.

If you have a hardcopy of GL, you will be directed to express counter.

Not sure why PCMC differentiated this kind of process in this digital era. They automate lots of things, but lack of awareness/initiative to reduce the use of paper (save the tree/world)...

It is not recommended to introduce the problem of medical cards. The medical expenses are about 68000.00. (Insurance 31000.00) Stupid executives should pay 100% of the fees before they go to the hospital. The problem is that they have problems with the network. Whose question is this? After a long time of communication, I didn t agree to give up 10000.00 after I entered the hospital. I still refused to go to the hospital. I had to go to the hospital after the afternoon operation time. I have not seen this kind of problem.

Visited the ENT specialist Yeo Sek Wee and was absolutely appalled at the consult. He did a very superficial examination and immediately recommended the most expensive surgical option. When trying to discuss other options he arrogantly ruled them out. Worst bedside manners of any doctor I ve come across. Final clincher was the bill. Was more than double other ENT specialists I ve been to before, with a far less thorough examination.

Subsequently visited a different ENT at a smaller clinic who recommended a non-surgical option which was so much cheaper and less painful than what this guy at Prince Court recommended.

Avoid this gold digger at all costs!

Your nurses are not well trained . They were not tactful. Puan haniza , the admission manager was rude and went on to make statements that does not justify her as a manager . The doctors had more empathy than the nurses . The emergency dept were ok but nurses generally were not of high standards. The decor and the amenities is amazing. One also aspect I liked in this hospital, I was missing some cash, they didn t require any payment until They finish checking and caring for out patient. With all these great reviews I really think the awful experience I had at this place is unfortunate.

I'm traveling into Cambodia and went to get anti malaria medication. Instead of giving me Doxycycline, the doctor insisted on giving me the more expensive alternative. I asked him specifically for the cheapest option as I'm on a budget and he outright refused. Instead he prescribed me Malarone which costs $200's for two weeks worth.

This is clearly a money making scam on the medical centre's part. My boyfriend went to the doctor in Australia and they prescribed him Doxycycline straightaway and for a two week trip he paid $13 for it.

When I asked to get the script shortened because I couldn't afford it I was made to wait an hour for my medication.

I'm a pretty common sense kind of person and don't usually have these kinds of problems but in this case it's pretty clear they've just used the threat of catching malaria to outright rip me off.

I saw some other travellers there as I entered and they also looked angry with the service. The reception room was actually buzzing with mosquito's as well which was ironic consider what I was there for (luckily malaria isn't a huge issue in KL).

If you're travelling on a budget in South East Asia and would like medical care with your needs in mind, I certainly would not recommend this place. They'll give you medical advice with their profit being the prime goal and I would say it's more of a business than a medical centre.

I got sicker well waiting. They over prescribe medications. Dr. explained two, by time I go to pay, they added 6 more! Tried to charge me for medication I didnt take. Prescriptions are over priced by 50% compared to other pharmacy in kl. Be very careful, watch them very carefully if u go. Update, Oct 29th, I have gone back a second time for same issue. Sold me more meds and still no relief. This hospital is so unprofessional, rm500+ and my ear is now in so much pain. Honeslty, they just want to sell over priced medications. And frankly the doctors here have very little experience.

The only thing that irks me was the wait for payment. It can take up to an hour! I hope they have updated the system by now.

While the doctors were nice and experienced, the waiting time was ridiculous. Been a patient here for more than 2 years (following up for a thyroid disorder) and every single session, I have to wait for at least 3 hours or more just to see the doctor for less than 5 minutes. I would have blood test done at 9am and the results for my blood test usually comes out in about 2 hours, but I would have to wait till 12 or 1 to see the doctor. Then, this is the worst part, just to make payment, sometimes I would have to wait up to 30 minutes to pay. So if you're a busy person who does not have the luxury to spend half a day in the hospital (this is during the weekdays not even the weekends), I would suggest another hospital.

It is a place that I spent a lot of my time due to a knee injury. The Ortho consultant and physiotherapist were excellent and professional. Absolutely enjoyed my time there especially the heated pool throughout my rehab. Only problem is the constant long queue in Lobby 2A and the lack of food selections for the public.

How come the waiting time of a private hospital is longher than the public hospital? It took me more than 3 hours to check-in room and more than 5 hours to discharge (not the promblem of insurance side).
The medical review also need to wait very long time. All you need is to wait wait wait and be very patient!

Overall excellent service quality and facilities, particularly if you are staying in city center where its convenient to access the hospital. The doctors at A&E are friendly and will try their best to make you feel comfortable. Registration for the specialist clinics is also done well and quick time. Despite the perception of being a premium hospital, the fee is not that different from any KPJ hospital for example. Building structure is well planned and the lobby is a good congregation area.

Parking is bit expensive here, but there is no worry about not getting one at any time of the day. Management has also put cones near the main road entrance/exit to prevent parked cars from blocking view when we exit. Perhaps the management can also look into preventing insurance consultants from harassing patients.

No respect for others when it comes to time management. Today is my third visit. Same case so now I am judging.
Registration- wait time 30 minutes + too much paper work. Same info is asked several times.
To see the doctor- it was effecient and done within reasonable timeframe.
Billing- ridiculously slow. Frustrating as well. 40+ mins . Bring your laptop to clear emails :)
Pharmacy- 10 mins, reasonable

Hope you guys will take this feedback in a constructive manner and improve. Purpose of the feedback is to see you improve.

Not a patient but visited a friend who was admitted there. Good and clean facilities and the nurses were courteous . In general , private hospitals in Malaysia tend to over-investigate and over-treat and recommend unnecessary procedures.

I went to the prince court 10 times and the hospital is like hotel but stuff there are awful and they don't know what is respect and also doctors in emergency part are horrible.
For first consultation with specialist you must pay like 250 RM and for first consultation in emergency part you must pay 90 RM and for second time it will be 68 RM.

I am very impressed by the level of professionalism and the expertise of the doctors and staff. My son had his ACL Reconstruction Surgery and the entire process went very smooth in a systematic manner with efficiency and professionalism. The surgeon Dr. Asri Ghapar, who performed the surgery is just excellent and very knowledgeable with extensive experience in this field. We are very happy that we found Dr. Asri for my son s surgery and this great hospital - Prince Court Medical Centre. I also go there for my treatment and very fortunate to know Dr. Ramani, Rheumatologist. She saved me from my pain and distress! A great doctor indeed. I enjoy meeting her and value her advice. I would recommend others to get treatment here.

Unwilling to help, disinterested, borderline rude staff in an overrated, rundown hospital. Turning down patients in need who are willing to pay any price to see a specialist and get treatment is highly unprofessional. I ll never set foot here again.

Had a pleasant experience with Palliative Dr Nick when mom was admitted, she's getting discharged the day after. He explained the situation very well. Nurses were very friendly and helpful, always willing to explain. The coffee vending machine on the 1st floor is a good place to get a cuppa before visiting. RM1 for a cup of Java. Parking is RM8 per hour. RM15 per day.
