They took about 3 weeks to mail a heart monitor to me that they said would take 7 days maximum. Also, the Patient Instruction Manual didn't match the instructions on the box that it came in, making it difficult to know exactly what to do when ready to return it.

Preventice is a huge rip off. My cardiologist office set up the heart monitor, which I used for only 1 day. Turns out my insurance, United Health Care, isn't contracted with Preventice. My doctor is on my insurance. I didn't know I had to ask, or that Preventice, who checked my insurance, failed to mention that they aren't contracted. The nurse from my doctor's office just told me to sign for the monitor. And the charge is for use of any duration, so I paid a flat fee for my 1 day. What a rip off!! :(

I got a heart monitor put on for 48 hours to monitor my heart condition. After being told my insurance would cover the experience, I was billed $300!! The worst part? I m 15 years old! I did some research and found that billing a minor is completely illegal as it violates multiple laws set in place to protect people under the age of 18. The bill was addressed completely to me and had no additional information. The customer service line is completely out of service. Completely rediculous and unprofessional! Not to mention illegal activity! Will for sure be contacting a lawyer ASAP!! Don t use this company unless you re willing to empty your pockets regardless of age!

If I could give no stars I would. The fact that you must have Sprint service for the data to upload correctly and timely is ludicris, as in our case we live 2 hours from Sprint service. As soon as I left the county the doctor's office was located in the whole unit, phone and monitor both quit working. After 4 phone calls to the home office, they finally agreed to set the phone to my home server, but it only works. there. Cannot recommend this company or its products.
Shipping and monitoring was excellent.
Shipping and monitoring was excellent.
However the accounting was not.
I got automated calls which I normally ignore.
4th call, I decided to call back. The lady told me I have unpaid balance and they only have my old address. If I do not pay, the balance will be transfer to collection!
1. They shiped device to my new address. But accounting dept has only old address? I moved to new address 7 month ago, and got monitoring device 2 month ago.
2. Why keep calling me with automated call which people normally ignore? That delay this situation 1 more month.
3. What kind of company use COLLECTION word when they talk to customer first time? That was the first time I know I have unpaid balance. I felt they were threatening me.
I am giving 2 stars just because of monitoring dept and shipping.

Frequently took an HOUR to get it to connect. (Has to be changed twice daily) When I called, they said turn units off, then restart. Also, change the patch every day. Didn't get enough patches for that. Ordered more, but never got them. Not very user friendly.

My doctor recommended I wear a monitor for 7 days but I expressed concern about dealing with these monitor companies due to my stepfather s recent horrible experience with one. The doctors office assured me I would first receive a call from the company and I would be able to discuss what my insurance would cover before agreeing to receive it. I was adamant about this because I knew what these companies do to consumers.
I never received the call but did get a notice of impending delivery from UPS without my prior authorization. I called the company and spoke to a person with no training in handling consumer complaints. He insisted the company doesn t first contact the patient and that the device is sent due to doctor s order. I plan to refuse this package and will also report this and my stepfathers recent experience to my state attorney general s office. This kind of scam should not be allowed and people need to speak up about it.
UPS assured me the tracking will protect me from any charges but after reading these reviews and those on BBB, I have my doubts. The guy at the company had no interest whatsoever in documenting the planned refusal and returned package. These are shameful scammers taking advantage of the elderly and the sick.

Horrible product. After being told my copay would be $35 I received a bill for $166. Additionally, when I removed the device from my chest it litterally ripped several patches of my skin off my body. I would not recommend this product to any cardiologist or patient.

Constant poor skin connection. Left bad burns and open sores on my chest. Had to remove after two weeks because it became too painful even with sensitive skin pads. I heard you must be allergic to tape. Never had a problem with tape before or since. Preventice is the poor connection.

Well. At the beginning was difficult to understand how to set up the heart monitor.
But afterwards was really easy and simple.
The addressed me very well how to do it.
Also, they did a follow up.

If you'd like to receive a bill for an obscene amount of money, get mediocre customer service and then have the test results lost for several weeks then Preventice services LLC is the place to go for your holter monitor. I would not under any circumstances recommend anyone use their services. Ive told my physicians office the same.

This company doesn't seem very legitimate based on my experience. I wore a monitor for a week and was told that they monitor it 24/7 but if I notice anything unusual to press the button on the monitor. I was told the only time I could take it off was to shower and if it was off longer than that someone from the monitoring service would call me to find out why. Well the very first night the battery died sometime during the night while I was asleep so the monitor was off for a few hours but nobody called. Guess whoever was on night duty was sleeping too. Then after the week was up they sent a report to my DR that said I had 3 episodes of an irregular beat and that was all. What a coincidence, that's exactly how many times I pressed the button! There were actually 3 or 4 other episodes that week but I was driving when they occurred and unable to get under the seat belt and my clothes to press the button. So the ONLY activity they monitored was what I myself notified them of by pressing the button. What a joke.

Very poorly designed heart monitor (I'm a senior electronic design engineer). If you want to use it you have to learn to ignore its incessant messages about poor skin contact. I have no confidence in the data and do not believe that a reasonable diagnosis can be made using the data.

Another negative review for this group. After I had already paid $40.00 for a Holter Monitor through my Cardiologist's payment portal, I thought I was already done with it. No. I only just received a statement, two week ago tops from Preventice Services. The statement date was marked as 4/22/2019. Ok, I call my cardiologist's office to confirm that this is legit since there are many scams out there. As soon as they verified that they work with Preventice I go online and pay. I check the mail and see that I was turned over to collection's agency?! I only received ONE statement from you guys and you turn me over to a debt collector? I called the agency and explained that I paid. They said don't worry about it. But I am fuming, I call Preventice and ask why they turned me over. They claim they sent previous statements. I never got them. I asked if they ever called me. She said yes. I asked if they ever left a voicemail. She said once that they did. I checked the message machine again. Nothing. There is Preventice that showed up on the call log on my house phone. I grant them that. But NO message. On the statement I DID get, there was no indication that payment was past due. Just that it was due upon receipt. If you can, avoid this group at all costs.

Very frustrated with Preventice. Had heart monitor in July 2016 - first one failed and they shipped another. Had heart monitor in November-December 2017, again first one failed and they shipped another. They provide a bubble envelope for device protection with return shipment, but send it out with it just jiggling around in a cardboard box. Eventual report this time around omitted some events and misstated actual study period. I have asked my cardiologist to see if we can find a reputable company to get another test. I needed to speak with management on a number of occasions during the study due to problems including lead problems, battery problems, even a problem with the belt holder. I was told a couple of times that employees were not even following some internal policies regarding when to call the customer and found out that in at least one case an employee had lied about actually calling me. My phone records prove differently. They are supposed to call when there is a problem with the device, but actually make the device ring an alarm instead. I was told that when there is a problem, that there might be a delay of about 12 hours - on one occasion I had noticed a problem, called in and supposedly resolved it, then received an emergency message on my device referencing me to call in - turns out it was the problem resolved the previous day! I wrote this review in the hope that Preventice will get its act together, because the idea is great, but their implementation is very, very poor. I would give a quarter of a star if that was an option here. I also notice that only a couple of the positive reviews here are from patients, the rest are all employees. In my opinion, Preventice is a very poorly run company. I will only use them again if they provide the service at no cost and can demonstrate to me that they know what they are doing and that the equipment actually works as advertised. The first step they need to take is to have every monitor checked then make sure they properly pack when shipping - should be common sense but they are very dumb about it

How can I give them a negative star review?I got a statement for $1495. I call to get things fixed. They said they spoke with one person in the medicaid office who said I was not a member (which means they only tried once). Really? So, I ask them to re-submit. No go. They don't do that. I ask to speak to a supervisor, nope. I asked if they were submitting with the correct insurance information, you know, it's easy to transpose a number, mis-spell a name.... No. I am not allowed that information. I hang up and call back when calmed down. The same exact conversation. Only this time, I was told to pay or they would send to collections. I call my insurance. They were astounded at what I was told. Come to find out, the bill was already paid to E-Cardio, same company, different name. They were trying to double bill!

If I could give negative stars I would. The devices don't work, customer service are inept at best, they refused to send a replace charger for their broken device, I didn't get 24 hrs of monitoring services. I have notified my Dr office and my insurance company to void their bill since they refused to provide services and let my Dr know this company is a fraud and they are not providing services. They are a scam, don't use their services

I worked here in IT from Oct 2010 until May 2016. The company was acquired by Preventice (Rochester, Minnesota) in approximately 2015 3rd quarter. The new company began outsourcing as soon as Q1,2016 began with all billing calls going to India. I was made redundant in April 2016 and fired in May 2016. This company is nothing like i used to be.
Due to getting COVID my son, who plays football ha...
Due to getting COVID my son, who plays football had to be cleared through a cardiologist to play. In our initial visit, Dr. Alhadheri said he wanted to do a 7-day monitoring of his heart to track his resting heart activity vs. his active heart activity. Additionally, he said they'd do a stress test in their office after the 7 day monitoring was done. He put the monitoring device on on a Sunday afternoon. He played video games that day and slept. The next day he had football practice at 2 pm, within 5 minutes of activity the monitoring device came off because of his sweat. I immediately called Preventice Services (the monitoring company affiliated with APC) and I called APC and told them about the issue. PS told me to mail everything back to them since it didn't work. I asked if I would still be charged for this and they said no. The APC office also said they would note that there was an issue. Dr. Alhadheri was on vacation at the time, but they were able to contact him and he said that it wasn't a problem and that the in-office stress test would be sufficient. This was upsetting to hear, because if the in-office test was sufficient, why where we asked to do the additional test? A few weeks later I receive a bill in the mail from PS for $750! I called PS immediately and they said that there policy is that its a flat rate no matter how many days they monitored for. It didn't matter that they didn't get any "active heart rate" monitoring or that the total duration was only approx. 24 hours out of what was supposed to be a 7-day test. They were also extremely rude. I then called APC and they stated they had no control over what PC charged. The woman I talked with, before looking at the notes in my son's file, said "well it's your fault, you should've called an told us there was an issue when it happened". I had to ask her to look at the notes, after which, she said, "oh well you did call, but it doesn't change anything, we don't have control over what they charge" I was expecting them to at least advocate and request that the charge be waived for us, but that request was denied completely. Since then, I've paid the $750 bill and lets just say I'm extremely bitter about it. I will never use them again. Horrible experience and I get the feeling that the relationship between APC & PS is a racket and fraudulent.

I wore a heart monitor from Preventice for a month...
I wore a heart monitor from Preventice for a month. The pads that the electrodes stick to fell off after a few hours each day. I had to order more, multiple times. The monitor and the cables with the monitor malfunctioned multiple times. I had to order several replacements. Out of the month, I was supposed to be wearing the monitor, I was only able to have it on and functioning for 60% of the time (due to the product not working correctly or at all). I only experienced heart symptoms once in the month, and the monitor was broken at the time I did, causing me to miss out on vital information as I was trying to figure out what was wrong with my heart. Needless to say this could easily be a life/death issue. On top of all of this, I had a remaining balance of a little over $100 after insurance. Given my troubles and the fact that this amount represents less than 5% of the total cost, I figured surely they would write this balance off. I am six months and sixteen calls/voicemails down the road, and nothing has been resolved. They refuse to budge or empathize. The supervisor has yet to call me back after 7 or 8 voicemails. The few representatives are always cordial, but as far as getting anything done, the costumer service is ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!

I was very disappointed by this service. The monitor did not work well, and I was CONSTANTLY getting an annoying message from the phone about poor skin contact . I called 3 times to try to figure out how to fix the problem and had absolutely no help. I had to stop wearing it because the mobile phone that you control the device from kept vibrating every 15-20 minutes with a contact alert during my classes and I was told by my professor that it was distracting, but there is no way to turn off the notifications. I was wearing the device for a potential excercise induced arrhythmia but it literally fell off every time I would go run, despite being sent a different type of attachment pad. I pushed the button to record an incident 5 times, and I have note of doing this as well as my symptoms in a notebook. They are supposed to call to explain what is on your ECG every time you do this, but I never got a call. When I finally spoke to my cardiologist I asked about each and every time, but the company only had record of me recording once. Finally, they are supposed to have somebody watching your monitor at all times but I took it off without forgetting to press pause several times and never got a call. So I guess nobody noticed me flatlining on their monitors?
Now, I get a letter saying I was supposed to return the device a week ago and if it s not in the mail within 7 days I will be charged for the full amount of the device. I haven t received a single phone call from the company the entire time I have had the device, and have been given absolutely no information about how or when to return the monitor. So disappointed, I will be talking to me doctor about the quality of the service so that none of his other patients have to deal with such a frustrating service.

Horrible service. Delivery took 5 days when it should have taken two. Waited on hold twice for 15 minutes before I could get help and then I had to call back again because I was not in a position to install device. I returned the device today without using it. I will find another provider.

As a customer/patient, I received a phone call with a recorded message to call Preventice. When I called, I was put on an indefinite hold. 10, 20, and 30 minutes went by. With better things to do, I eventually gave up. Maybe rethink this "service" model?

I m sorry, but my experience was terrible overall. two months after returning my monitor I received a bill in the mail for $600!!! They claimed that first they never received the monitor from UPS, then when I called back again a few days later I was told parts were missing. After probably 15+ phone calls over two months (no exaggeration) they finally dropped the $600 bill. I never should have had to spend so much of my own time trying to help them get the order straight. Unbelievably poor experience

Although the device is uncomfortable and i didn't want to wear it, their customer service was very helpful. It took me a few months to return the device, I got a bill for 2400 and then promptly realized the error in my ways. This is a terrible place to work!!! I would give it 0 stars if I could. They hire people who are not even qualified or have any knowledge of what their job responsibility holds. Yet have the audacity to pride themselves as a medical building that provides great service to patients. Then in certain departments such as monitor support, shipping, sales support, address verification, Intake, monitor recovery, inventory etc. they would prefer that we lie to the patient's telling them "the monitor should be there on this date" and of course the employees knew the monitors were not arriving due to different hold ups within the company. Yet once again they pride themselves with putting the customer first. They constantly have issues with these monitors malfunctioning and when the patient's call in with their issues their transferred about 3 -5 times before they can even get help. Yet these people's lives depend on this device; but somehow goes over the heads of the managers as well as most of the employees of this company. Honestly anyone in need of a monitor would be better off going through your own physician for the monitor or a company such as Global cardiac monitors. Unless you prefer to deal with constant issues and having to pester the workers at this job just to get a simple question answered. Just saying if I had heart complications, these would not be the people I entrust my life with AT ALL.

This outfit is a total sham. If your doctor refers you to this service, ask for another. The first monitor was faulty. The replacement monitor was faulty. We continuously tried to send my son's information over the phone lines and it never would register. Their customer service is filled with people who appear to be paid minimum wage (or who act like it). Then when I saw the amount they billed my insurance, I quickly notified Aetna how much trouble I had and that they are collecting a fortune for faulty equipment and bad service. Run away as fast as you can from them.

I'm wearing a heart monitor for 30 days and I hope I will not experience these issues when I return this monitor in 30 days. If so, I would report them definitely to the better business bureau. I have had issues with this monitor, counting down the days.

If I could give this monitoring service no stars I would. My cardiologist had me use this heart monitor for a week. The second day one of the monitors quit working. I was told they would overnight a new one and 2 days later I still haven't received one. The monitor I used at night woke me up to tell me the battery was dying. This monitor will definitely make your heart rate go up! Can't wait to see what happens when I refuse to pay for this piece of junk.

The phone number on their invoice somehow forwards calls to my office in Florida. I don't sell heart monitors, I rent apartments. I don't know why I keep getting calls from their customers. Also the patients who call me are generally upset by their bill and I have to listen to their entire complaint before I can get a word in to explain they have the wrong number. It's very time consuming.

I am not sure how this place gets away with what they do and how they treat people. I will never use another one of their products. The customer service here is terrible and no one gets back to you when you have a question. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH eCardio! They are flying under the radar with many insurance companies. They do not have ANY contracts. They just try to say that they fit the 2 day code but to bill it for 30 days. Several won't pay including United, Aetna, Humana, Healthnet and a few Medicare providers.

No one calls you back if you have questions. They will continue to send you bills without billing your insurance company. I had to call six times to have them bill the insurance company three times they never called back and the other times (when I actually contacted a person) I was ensured they would contact the insurance company and never did. They have held my bill without contacting the insurance company for so long it is unlikely the insurance will cover the charge or even apply it toward my deductible. This is the worst company I have ever had to deal with in the medical field. If you mail them anything mail it certified and if you need to contact them do it in email. Never call them its pointless and there is no record. Check with your doctor/hospital to ensure that they will not use this company for your medical equipment!
Dealing with Preventice is extremely frustrating. ...
Dealing with Preventice is extremely frustrating. It took them over 6 months to send the first bill out after I wore my heart monitor. I wore the monitor in May and received my 1st bill in November. The bill is for $2500.00. I pay $2000.00 with my HSA and assume they will send out another bill for the remaining balance. I receive no more statements. Preventice tried calling me a few times and when I would return the call was unable to speak with anyone. Finally after getting in touch with someone they threaten to send my remaining balance to collections. so basically I guess they want you to pay in full and if not, they won't send you anymore statements just send you to collections. So, it can take Preventice 6 months to bill me but I have to come up with $2500 immediately. If I ever need a heart monitor in the future I will not agree to wearing one unless it is from another company.

Terrible experience !!! Our cardiologist prescribed using this company to monitor a heart condition for a month. Preventice sent a kit comprising of two monitors which took a week to arrive. One of the monitors stopped working in 5 days. We called Preventince and explained the situation and they agreed to send us a replacement monitor. The replacement monitor took three days to arrive despite us asking for it to be sent over night to us and as if that was not bad enough, the replacement monitor did not work at all from the moment it arrived. We reported the problem to Preventice again and they said ti will take 5 days to get another monitor delivered to us. There seems to be no quality control performed on the equipment being sent out by this firm. I will be conveying my dissatisfaction to the cardiologist and will strongly urge him to stop recommending this company's equipment to his patients.

First time wearing a monitor. I will have to wear ...
First time wearing a monitor. I will have to wear this thing for 30 days because of being a Covid long-hauler! Never have had heart issues so I know nothing about this stuff. I saw my doctor on a Friday and was told I would be called within 48 hours to get registered for the monitor. Didn't expect a call over the weekend but by the following Tuesday and still no call, I called me doctor, was given the phone number and called Prentice. They supposedly registered me and said the monitor would be shipped out in 2-3 days. Wednesday, I was called and they told me what my cost would be after my insurance. Great. They said the monitor would be mailed out in 2-3 days. The following Monday, no monitor has arrived so I called again. A girl checked and said they were told to hold my monitor until payment was approved. WHAT???? After discussing with my husband, I called back and got Brigette. She checked and said the monitor would be sent out overnight. When I asked why it was held up, she just went on to other things and never answered that question. Overnight turned into two more days which put this monitor arriving almost two weeks after I was told it would be 2-3 days.
I Called for instructions on how to put it on and she couldn't have been more unconcerned. I told her I couldn't hear her, she said the headset was turned up all the way yet later in the call, she turned it up! I would tell her I didn't understand an instruction and rather than trying to explain, she just kept repeating what she had said! I couldn't get the patch on in the right place, she should have told me to stand in front of a mirror which she NEVER did! She wasn't rude, she just didn't give a hoot!! She got snotty when I was asking how long it will take for the information to be sent to my doctor. She said this device is constantly communicating with my doctor....how am I to know this????
I had to call back the next day because I was having skin irritation. I got a kid who seemed to be reading answers off of a screen. He was clueless!!! Absolutely CLUELESS!!! I became so irritated I told him I would call back later and get someone who knew more and said "goodbye" then hung up!! This might be a good monitor, I don't know, but they would be hard pressed to find more unconcerned, inept people!!!

Gave it one star because that s as low as I could give. This place is TERRIBLE! Do NOT use them if you have a choice! They told me when I had my monitor that my insurance wouldn t pay for it and I had to pay $225 the self pay fee or my bill would be over $1500 and I wouldn t be able to get a discount if I waited until my insurance denied the claim. I had to pay the money within 7 days of having the monitor in August, even though my insurance called them and told them it would be covered 100%. So I paid the $225 not wanting to get a $1500 bill. Fast forward to end of September when I call them to get the claim info to submit to my insurance to get reimbursed PREVENTICE tells me they have to file the claim and theyll reimburse me if it s covered. Sure enough the claim was covered at 100% so I call and ask for my refund. At first they told me to give it 2 weeks so I call back in 2 weeks, then they tell me oh it can take 6 weeks so again I call back in 6 weeks, and then I m told oh it ll take 30 business days, so here it is AFTER 30 business day, my refund hasn t even been looked at by accounting and I m being told it ll be another few weeks. Oh and they have already been PAID by MY INSURANCE over a month ago! If you re a doctors office PLEASE DO NOT use this company because they will screw your patients over big time.

I called this company to tell them that their product was being mis-used by a CT. Doctors office. They told me it was to be removed by using soap and water...Instead of being ripped off my chest like cartoon band-aid...Instead it left a red n purple mark on my chest for 5 days...and it still hurts. I was greated by person who In my estimate showed compassion, for me as a customer The next person, to whom I was going to give my information to so...Preventice Services , ..could call the very office where their product was being removed poorly, and damaging the patient's skin and causing pain and suffering...... the next person, or so I was told by the first person I spoke to...told me " She told me to tell you that you should take this up with your doctor, because we did not apply it to you." WOW THEY DO NOT CARE IF THEIR PRODUCT IS BEING MIS_USED>>>EITHER BY PUTTING IT ON>>OR TAKING IT OFF...

If I could give 0 stars I would. This is a VERY BAD COMPANY, abusive, terrible!. They sent me a bill, I paid, a portion of the bill, they sent me a balance and paid almost everything but $35. Suddenly out of the blue I received a letter from COLLECTIONS! they sent me to collections! because I was paying my bills!!!! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, read reviews, that is what we do nowadays, this is the most ridiculous abuse I ever received. Then I call and of course NO ONE knows anything and tell me "oh really? sorry about that" this is incredible!!!, is better to pay more to another "real & professional company" this is NOT A SERIOUS company. BEWARE.

Horrible customer service. Slow shipping. No follow up. I urge all patients and providers to use alternative means of monitoring.

I had a terrible and expensive experience with Preventice. DO NOT USE THIS PROVIDER! My doctor's office arranged for a heart monitor, which I only needed to wear for a day or two. Turns out my co-pay was $797! For two days?! When I questioned high price, I was told they don't contract with insurance so I was charged for out of network. The majority of Arizona is insured with my insurance. Ridiculous. Be a smart consumer. Steer clear of Preventice! I'm noticing the only positive reviews here are from Preventice employees.

Patient beware! Preventice is a huge rip off. My cardiologist office set up the heart monitor, which I used for only 3 days. My co-pay was $800, and I have Cadillac PPO insurance. Turns out my insurance, United Health Care PPO, isn't contracted with Preventice. My doctor is on my insurance. I didn't know I had to ask--or that Preventice, who checked my insurance, failed to mention that they aren't contracted. I have the most common insurance in Arizona. And the charge is for use of any duration--so I paid a flat fee for my 3 days use. What a crooked service.
