We love this Marriott. Great location and outstan...
We love this Marriott. Great location and outstanding service.
We love this Marriott. Great location and outstanding service.
Wonderful hotel. Big rooms and in the perfect place
The room was nice but the valley parking took too long to get the car.
Half way through a 4 day stay and live it so far. Front desk was great help, rooms were very clean, and excellent breakfast and coffee!
Good location within walking distance from most things in downtown. No pool. Amenities at the hotel itself are spendy..
Great service while on a business trip! Next time I'm in Portland I will definitely use them again. Thanks!
Rooms are nice, easy to get to. Beds are comfortable, but here is what was the best. David the breakfast chef who makes the omelettes. He makes a nice omelette but it's his personality and friendliness that makes it even better. Meeting people in an organization is what makes four stars a five. You can tell he enjoys what he does. They are lucky to have him. The breakfast buffet was good bacon, sausage was the best I've had at a buffet. Salmon and salami cheese spread was perfect. We will be back next time in town.
Pretty standard for a downtown Marriott. Exec lounge here is very large and has a better evening and morning spread than most. Walking distance to the river and a number of decent (albeit chain) restaurants. Food at the lobby restaurant left something to be desired, though, even by hotel standards.
Great location and a well appointed hotel. Perfect for my business trip.
Nice hotel and staff... But for conferences, no wifi is available. What is this, 2009?
Fairly clean, good service, breakfast included - what you would expect from a Marriott.
Accomodat ions excellent. Quiet and comfortable rooms
Standard Marriott experience. It's a nice area of town, river facing rooms have a great view. Waterfront and restaurants all walkable. We stayed here for a show at the Keller Auditorium and it was a nice short walk both ways with no sketchy feelings.
Caught a game with a colleague visiting grin out of town. Food and drinks are excellent. Service was quick, friendly and courteous.
Nice hotel overlooking the river. If you get M Club then very nice breakfast bar and happy hour snacks are included. I especially liked the Sun - Thursday happy hour that included shrimp, chicken wings, sausages, bread and cheese. All pretty good.
There is a nice but small gym that fills up early in the morning. If you can wait til 8 or 9 there is a better chance of getting on the treadmill.
Location is good. Within walking distance of shops and many restaurants.
Parking is crazy expensive though at $45 per day. Instead, park next door at Crown Plaza at $22 per day but no in and out privilege.
We loved the area and accessibity of the waterfront, restaurants, marina and Poets park. Simply the best area for a hotel!
I was at the Portland Marriott and the view was amazing. The breakfast options were amazing
Mariott has always been my go to for stays this is another example of a really good stay! I always enjoy staying at Mariott due to the cleanliness and the service!
Drinks before the theater. Lovely environment. Bar personnel under dressed for a Saturday evening. Good drinks.
We attended SHINE at The Marriott Downtown. We love the place and it was quite the event. However we both got pretty sick from the food. We didn't do well with the sausage and there were too many onions in the vegetables so we had an upset stomach the rest of the day. The people at the Marriott where wonderful. The service was excellent. The gala was fabulous. We met wonderful friends and did a lot of good for the Q Center in the process. Glad we had the event there.
Friendly staff. Typical Marriott rooms. Very convenient location for downtown PDX. Rates can be good if you book in advance/hunt for specials.
Great Hotel , friendly Bartenders , perfect place to stay if you want access to the river front and public transportation. I would recommend this Hotel to anyone.
I travel here for business quite often and I really love staying here. The location is excellent and the staff and rooms are well-appointed and above-average.
Friendly, ready-to-help staff. Fast moving staff aimed at pleasing the guest, and accommodating their stay.
Unfortunately I had to share a room and get double beds. The two bed configured rooms aren't nearly as nice as the king bed rooms. I really like that the M club lounge is open 24/7 with drinks and snacks.
The water front view was spectacular. The staff was accommodating and professional. The room was immaculate and quiet. It was also up to date. The only down sides, $40 parking overnight was excessive and it would have been nice if the room had a mini fridge.
Great for any chance occasion, I had many sports camps at PSU and stayed here because of the great location and beautiful quality rooms, and I have also stayed here for tourist visits and it has a great location that isn t too crowded.
In heart of downtown! Had good service and clean rooms. I would visit again.
Room was nice and great workout facility and location. Laundry is coin op ($1.50) just down the hall from the workout room. I did have a problem with their failure to enforce the non smoking policy, but the smoking neighbor checked out after just a couple of days, so it worked out. Still only 3 stars because of the absence of a non smoking guarantee and inability to provide a solution.
First time at the Portland Marriott and was pleasantly surprised by the amount of space in the auditorium. We easily had 2000 people there. Hope that we come back here next year as well.
I was here for a week for a work related trip and really enjoyed everything about this hotel. It's a great location right beside a waterfront park with lots of places to walk/run and rentable bikes. The room was a standard Marriott room and very clean. I had a little balcony and the view wasn't the water, but I enjoyed people watching a few times. Nice gym and laundry facility. Easy access to restaurants and the downtown area. The staff is very accommodating and professional. The restaurant/lounge Proofreader is great. Throughout the week my team and I had both of the flatbreads, andouille sausage, steak salad (amazing dressing and steak cooked perfectly), and charcuterie board. We were all pleased with the food. One guest that we talked to got the Lamb dish and we observed that the meat was so tender that he didn't need a knife and told us it was seasoned perfectly. If you sit at one of the tables for dinner, expect fast and friendly service. If you sit at the bar and are fortunate enough to have Terry and/or Jordan as a bartender, then expect fast, knowledgeable service with a hefty splash of fun. As a matter-of-fact, if you've read this far and decide to stop in, please let Terry know that I recommended that you stop in with the hope that enough people will so that eventually he can retire from the corner. (Inside joke - he'll laugh).
Very busy time as there were multiple conventions but the staff was still friendly, warm, welcoming and helpful.
Quite comfortable. I would stay here again and highly encourage others to stay here. Great location and amenities.
The room looked great but I did not like the layout of the room for a living space. The door to the bathroom did not seal since it was a glass sliding door. The fan in bathroom was not controllable so anything that happened in the bathroom was known in the room. When opening the door to the room you would see right into the bathroom if the door was open.
The bed was very comfortable, however. Also the chair was good to get some work done in, and the table worked great when sitting in the chair.
Had a drink before dinner at the hotel bar. Very tasteful.
Nice area..can walk just about everywhere around there
Encountered a few violent individuals staying here, and when provided with this info, the hotel refused to act.
Very comfortable room and bed,,,,, more importantly the service was very good. Had trouble with the room key-card and the staff were very professional and dealt with the problem immediately,,,,,and they comped me a meal for my trouble.
We were charged an arm and a leg and the front staff was really rude. They charge for internet and they have REALLY expensive parking - $32 a day! It was noisy too, and the rooms need an update. Stay elsewhere.
Nice location right by the riverfront park. Room and hotel were very clean. I attended a conference here and they did very well in that regard too.
Attended a work event in the conference room. The staff were great, the facilities were terrific, and the conference room easily fit the 1500+ people in attendance
Perfect location. Close to everything in downtown & waterfront. Beautiful views of waterfront from the waterfront facing room but it does get noisy with road traffic. Smart TV with Netflix & YouTube as long as you have your own subscription. Clean bathroom with good pressure shower. Friendly staff. Mostly saw working professionals staying here. Definitely coming back again
I'm a teufel matnence crew member...
I do not lodge here...
Was looking for an ATM machine they were supposed to have but didn't. Was at the blue's festival it's a good place to stay, close to festival.
DO NOT STAY HERE! So many CONS and very little PROS.. let s start with CONS: Parking at the hotel is $35 a day (there is a parking garage 1 block that is only $18 a day) rooms are SMALL, no mini-fridge, no ice tongs (weird), no robes, small shower and tub, no extras whatsoever.. even the hotel shampoo and body wash were smaller than most hotels, good thing I brought my own. There is a bottle of water in your room when you arrive, in small print it says it is $3.50 (lol really Marriott?), the food from the restaurant SUCKS and is over-priced, honestly I ve had better breakfast at Denny s. The guys they have working valet out front may be legally retarded. They were absolutely no help, and the information they did give us about shuttles was WRONG. I definitely could have stayed somewhere cheaper and had a better experience, which I will definitely be doing next time we visit Portland... also they don't tell you that they put an extra $100 hold on your card, most hotels is only $50.... As for the PROS: The room was clean.
Rooms are small, but comfortable and the TV/entertainment system is really nice. Parking is quick and easy, valet pickup is completely covered which is great for Oregon weather. Common areas are nice and the cafe and bar are both pretty good.
Staff were nice, the conference facility was a little small for our group but that was due to fantastic turnout! I was very comfortable here, although more seating in the hallway would have been nice.
Best-in-class service by all staff members from the moment of arrival to departure. I would absolutely recommend this Marriott.
Good service, clean rooms (smaller than average & well appointed), and a nice location make this hotel a good choice for a visit to an eclectic and vibrant city.
Very nice hotel across the street from the water front park, good restaurants and intertainment in the area.
Visited for a conference. Great catered food and nice staff.
Rooms for the conference were well maintained and nice. Enjoyable area.
Excellent hotel with great updates. Best full service Marriott in portland.
It was fine, the wifi isn't free and the staff weren't always the most friendly. But the view was amazing and the rooms were pretty clean
Absolutely AMAZING service by Matt! My boyfriend and I checked in on Friday morning and experienced the best customer service ever! Being tired from an early flight, Matt accommodated us to a wonderful room! Thanks Matt, you were a life saver!
Location was great. It is right next to the water. I would recommend it to anyone.
good location, courteous, helpful staff, decent but small rooms with very small bathrooms, good breakfasts and snacks for rewards members with upgrade
Man we had a great time. The staff at the front is friendly and all were great help!!!
Drinks were slightly overpriced at the bar, however the service was great, and the atmosphere was really nice as well!
The conference room was spacious and clean. Placement of screen was easy to see and very clear.
Convenient downtown location close to everything excellent service and excellent food.
Front desk staff amazing...food and beverage staff amazing...just needs a pool is all. Top notch in my book.
I've lived in Portland for 20 years and recently moved to CT. I needed to stay in Portland for 4 days and booked at Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront. I couldn't be happier with my stay. The room was huge, plenty of space. And the Hospitality was second to none. I can't say how happy I was with Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront. This will be my second home in Portland ! Don't hesitate, book the room!
The rooms are quite nice and outlets are plentiful. The staff are also all pleasant, especially in the M lounge.
The rooms are beautifully decorated. The view of the waterfront really makes the experience worth it.
Good drinks, knowledgeable friendly staff & right next to the river.
Brunch is not consistent lots of noise from construction
Great staff, had a great time here! Would definitely recommend for anyone looking to stay downtown.
The hubs and I had a nice weekend in Portland and splurged on the Marriott.....and we were so glad we did! Great location, beautiful room with a balcony and view of the river and amazing staff.
I was there for a conference and the meeting rooms were easy to find.
Facility was clean and very close to the PDX waterfront. Great location
Great place to sleep, knocked a star off door 4 dollar bottles of water and 4 dollar cans of soda. I realize it's there to exploit businesses, but it still sucks.
Great facilities and location. $44 overnight parking is a little much.
Hotel is beautiful and rooms are very nice. The staff is friendly and very helpful and the bar is also a bonus.
Was atthe Marriott for a work event. Staff was helpful, food was delicious, wine selection left a lot to be desired.
Very classy and fancy for the business oriented individual! Room's are very small but very modern with futuristic features if you've never stayed in a 4 hotel. I was here for a business conference for three days. Sliding glass door that looked out my room to a huge crane doing construction into downtown Portland which was rather annoying to the eye! Since this is for the business oriented they offer multiple conference rooms, a fitness center, a bar on the third floor, and even were putting emoji cookies and coffee out in the evening. Clean rooms but don't drink the bottled water they put out unless you're ready to pay like $4.00 for it. No pool and not family friendly! The other Marriott is supposedly geared towards family and has more amenities that are more family friendly.
Location is great right along the waterfront - nearby to a vast variety of interest points.
