Overall had a great experience...
What a great stay! The customer service was amazing, our room was very clean upon arrival, and room service was prompt.
Beautiful river views, very clean and nice decor. Restaurants have great food.
Good sized rooms, excellent customer service, clean rooms.
I loved the happy, welcoming, and very helpful staff.
Stunning room and a stunning hotel. The bed was not too hard, the curtains are totally blackout, shower had great pressure and the room had amazing ac. Overall is stay again and again. Close to the water and all events. Everything is in walking distance or a scooter ride away!
Saw the motet after party here. Great time, neat set up
The room was great and the view was amazing. Loved the complimentary breakfast included with the room.
Like every major cities in US., Downtown Portland is beautiful worth visiting. Hotel looks nice & provide good service and free hot BF for all SPG G-Member. Valet parking cost $42 per day with free in and out & little cheaper than DT San Fran. Thank you Portland.
Great rooms, but charging $15/night for wifi is criminal. It was a company trip, but O would never book here personally.
Solid hotel. No major complaints but they did forget to clean and make up our room one day.
The staff was consistently friendly and helpful. The room was incredibly clean and neat. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay!
Well appointed hotel and well located. Not all the rooms have great views, though.
My fiancee and I stopped by to view their event rooms. The space is very nice. While the first person we talked too did not have the information we needed, she gave us as much as she knew. The second person we talked too had experience working events and was able to inform us about which rooms were popular and some of the logistical details.
Hotel seemed nice, centrally located but the food was okay at the restaurant
Work conference opening party was great. Good was delicious and wait staff fantastic.
Clean rooms, great service, location is ideal for downtown access
Comfortable room and bed, pleasant hotel, decent location.
Trendy downtown hotel though rooms are small, friendly service. Get a River view room and look out for specialty treats in the lobby.
Good location, takes around 20min to walk to Deschutes. Valet parking was $38/night, parking behind the building was $19/night but no in and out privileges.
Used Marriott s valet parking for new car and paid good money for service. Car returned damaged. Marriott is not taking responsibility. 3 week battle and counting.
The hotel is beautiful. Downtown near all the great eateries. Close to OHSU. The staff are wonderful and so helpful. Beautiful views of the River. Parking is very limited.
Service is down due to covid. They could make more of an effort
Very neat and interesting, excellent service, great view, great access to local places
A grand slam for a place to stay. Clean, comfortable facilities and reasonably priced accommodation and food choices. Parking is on-site and valet. Check in/out is seamless.
Beautiful rooms but could hear our neighbors like they were in the same room. Don't know if it's just the room w an adjoining door. But they have delicious food in the bistro!
terrible experience staying there, never would go again
Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was clean and very comfortable.
Was here for a convention, never stayed in the hotel. Hotel was clean, rights on the waterfront in downtown, which is great to walk around.
Nice space for a medium sized conference. Staff are helpful. The main meeting spaces are great, with plenty of lobby space for congregating. The larger conference rooms have good sight lines and acoustics. Large space for publishers exhibit, though it's a converted garage. Some of the rooms are too small for conference talks (the Willamette room for example). The main drawback is that there is no place to go for lunch without a hike downtown. The hotel restaurants can't handle the volume, and there aren't many nearby ones open over the weekend.
Excellent Hotel. We were greeted with Hot chocolate, which was awesome considering was so cold. From valet, to desk to security every single staff was friendly and accommodating. Room were great. Although not really big, they were really clean, well kept and modern. We had an issue with the safe, which was immediately corrected. Gym and pool were in good condition. Excellent stay
We had a very comfortable stay. My only negative was the $44 per night parking fee (that we didn't know about ahead of time.)
Great hotel but they only offer valet parking. I had to park next door.
Was here for a work event and felt everything was what I'd expect from a Marriot.
Such a beautiful area to walk around and enjoy. Great customer service.
Staff was knowledgeable and their service was top notch.
THEE absolute WORST valet I have ever had the misfortune to have to interact with. I was treated rudely by multiple members of the valet staff, and the one sent to retrieve my truck the first night, for some unclear reason, sat in my truck parked somewhere. The evidence was clear in the fact that the seat was very warm, my CD was advanced five songs, and the temperature read a much higher degree than it should have; indicative of having sat still. I heard it drive by, initially, and was made to wait a full twenty minutes after having initially heard it drive past.
Great location for our event. The room for the event was deep in the basement, and the ceiling should have some sort of sound baffling to reduce the noise. Other than that, it was awesome!
It's a really comfortable place with a surprisingly good restaurant and room service.
Rooms are comfortable, well appointed with plenty of electric outlets and USB plugs. Bathrooms are clean and well lit. Good was fine, just wish I could have options to have smaller portions.
I stayed here for a conference. I was on the 11th floor and a water front room. The accommodations were excellent. Food was great and the staff was very friendly. The linens are luxurious, the rooms are well-appointed, and the complimentary toiletries smell great feel and great. One thing I would like to see more of is an expanded room service menu. The fitness center is okay. It has great equipment for a cardio workout, but not much in line with machines for strength training. There's a fair amount of free weights. Overall I would definitely recommend that stay here. I stayed for 3 nights.
The rooms were nice but there was no cheap food options
The Marriott was an excellent place to enjoy a party hosted professionally. It provides a great service for food and space for many people and a live band.
I had a 4 day training in Portland and I had the flu. This hotel was so good to me. They made me chicken noodle soup and got me throat lozenges. Amazing! Thank you Gretchen and staff.
Modern, sleek, and hospitable hotel with great views of the river. Moderately priced and expected service of the Marriott chain.
Got to spend a wonderful night with a wonderful view of the river from 15 stories up with the woman I love.
I stayed with a few friends for 2 nights and had a good overall experience. The workers were all very helpful and courteous. We had a small mix up on times of things closing but overall great room and great place to stay.
Great location/view, fantastic service, very good hotel
Favorite place to stay in PDX. Near the Keller Auditorium and several great dining locations. Makes dinner and a show easy.
The hotel I in a great location. The room was nice and clean. Would definitely stay there again.
Rooms are extremely small, I was charged $46 for valet parking and my vehicle was not moved the whole night! It stayed parked in front of the hotel in where I first pulled up and unloaded my belongings. I was also charged more than what was agreed upon. The coffee bar in the hotel was closed as was the gym and all other guest services. When I called guest services they would not help one bit, terrible service.
Very nice hotel with modern finishings. Only thing is the bathroom glass sliding door is not sound proof at all... Super cool but can be awkward...
Very nice hotel. Nice bar and good food. Not close to a lot of downtown venues.
NO free coffee! As a Washingtonian you can imagine our disgust!
They won back points by allowing us to bring our mountain bikes in and keep them safe.
Room was clean and up to standards. The staff were all super friendly! After a long ride Netflix access was much appreciated on their smart TV! Close to great food. Beds are comfy. Love the bike wall!
Fantastic place for conference. Would highly recommend.
Great service and friendly staff! We always have a blast for the waterfront blues festival!
Very very clean. Everyone is nice an respectful here. Location is nice plenty of attractions. The only negative thing is that there is no shuttle to the airport
Friendly staff and very accommodating for professional events.
The location was excellent. Great service from the staff and very prompt about attending to needs and questions. Even though the streets are under construction it was in a great area with lots to do and see. The hotel accommodations were excellent and rooms were super clean.
Great location. Room was clean. Small miscommunication about check-in time but the staff was very accommodating.
Great location that s in the midst of downtown Portland, and it s a pleasant stay. My colleague and I arrived prior to check-in time, so they were able to hold our bags at the front and gave us a ticket. The lobby smelled really good, which I thought was random but a nice little bonus. The room itself was standard (one king-sized bed) but was clean and the pillows were body length, which made for a comfortable sleep. There is a handrail in the bathtub, but it s placed at the front of the tub next to the shower adjuster rather than the side like you d typically see. There an iron provided and an ironing board, but no robe or slippers :(
Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The staff was friendly and the room was comfortable. Good spot to stay for work as it s in downtown and in walking distance to a lot of great coffee shops and office buildings.
Service is incredible and the liquor menu is extensive. Definitely a hotel bar, but better than most!
nice and not so expensive hotel very close to everything, Tom McCall park is just across the street and it is a great option to go for a walk.
The food is amazingly delicious and the hotel stuff is really on top of everything in terms of providing great service. At every break they came in and cleaned the tables . The water was constantly kept full . The Internet connectivity was perfect and very high-speed.
Incredible service. Extremely friendly staff and that doesn't do them justice.
Attended an event. The room was large and roomie and the food was amazing
It was beautiful and convenient. Lots of fabulous restaurants nearby and almost right on the water. The rooms were lovely and we got great service
They have amazing TVs in the rooms. Stream your own Netflix
Had a very nice stay there. The rooms were modern and comfortable. They made really nice use of the space so that even a smaller room frlt cozy rather than cramped. The TV set up was great and the shower worked wonderfully -nice temperature and pressure. No complaints, would definitely stay again.
My overall experience at the Marriott Downtown Waterfront was positive with friendly staff and updated interiors. The hotel is located right by the Willamette River which gives you access to a park and some trails with a few nearby restaurants. The hotel rooms are small but great for the price and while the food is great at the restaurant it could be pricey for some. The hotel offers a variety of services as such as a gym, WiFi, valet parking, and smoke free rooms.
Always great service at the Marriott. Rooms were nice as well
I had a perfect stay, without any variation; exactly the same as all Marriott hotels.
I really like this Marriott. It has a good vibe, a nice restaurant, and a great view. However, it is a bit pricey. While the rooms are reasonable, the food and valet is a bit too much for what you get.
