Beautiful room. We attended a 2 day conference with 600 other people and the hotel took care of all of us beautifully. Services were excellent. Lunch was provided and it was delicious food, very efficiently served. Great job!

Have stayed here for many months for work and this is by far the most corporate friends Marriott in downtown Portland. Love the rooms and the M lounge. The reusable water bottles are a nice touch!

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! Instead of celebrating the Year of the Snake, we were bitten by the snakes that work the front desk at this hotel. As a loyal Marriott Rewards member for more years than I can remember, I have never encountered a more discourteous, apathetic, and disrespectful crew.

Using the online concierge, I asked for an early check-in and some toiletries. As the blondish 30 something male checked me in, he looked at me with disdain as he commented on my requests. The promised deodorant never arrived.

The punishment for requesting early check-in was room #326. It is a pie shaped wedge next to the gym and pool. As you open the front door, the bathroom door is the first thing you see as the front door passes within inches of the bathroom door. One cannot walk through the door with their luggage, you had to walk sideways and maneuver the luggage behind you; even the 4 year old had problems getting in the room! Having stayed in a number of Marriott hotels before, the next thing I noticed is how small the room was. When I asked the dishwater blond with glasses at the front desk about the room size, she snidely commented that it is a standard room size.

This hotel is also not Kid-Friendly!! Outside of walking along the river park there is not much for a preschooler to do around this hotel. Oh wait there is the fun of explaining to a child why there are homeless people and animals that live along the river and in the area. Kids hungry?? The closest kid-friendly establishment is a brewery that is a 10 minute walk away from the hotel, unless of course, you re willing to pay the extravagant prices they charge in the hotel for a kid s meal.

Sleep?? Not in room #326! The 4 year old goes to bed by 7:30PM, we had to turn up the TV to drown out the sounds of people yelling and screaming in the pool and weights being dropped in the gym. Luckily, the child fell asleep by 9PM, I wasn t as lucky. It wasn t until approximately 9:45PM did the sounds stop this was a brief reprieve as the dropping weights started up again about 30 minutes later. Frustrated, I called the front desk and the young lady that answered the phone was very apologetic and at least, empathized with my frustration. I asked her if this was the WORST room in the hotel and she said, Not when the hotel isn t very busy She said she would send Security up and ask them to keep it quiet. I don t know if anyone went up there or not, but the dropping weight sounds stopped about 30 minutes later. Luckily? All we were left with until 6:30AM was the sound of the double glass doors, outside our room, scrapping and banging as they closed.

Sunday morning at 6:30AM I was awoken by the sounds of dropping weights, this was followed by the sounds of screaming children by 7:30AM in the pool. Thank god this didn t wake the 4 year old in our room!

With less than 6 hours of sleep and many hours of frustrated musing, I decided to forgo express checkout and share my experience with the front desk. Of course, to end this trip from hell, I once again left with the dishwater blond with glasses that instead of giving me a snide comment, smiled and laughed. Are you kidding me!!??!! No apologies, nothing!! Another female at the front desk with short brown hair also joined in the smiles. Astonished, mortified, and exhausted, I left.

I would not/will not recommend this hotel to anyone! WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!

The room was great. It may sound silly, but I was impressed by the snack table at the check in desk. The had Zotts and mini rubber ducks. I took a duck because who doesn't need a mini rubber duck dressed as a cat. And zotts has been a favorite candy since I was a kid.

Great location, close walking or lyft proximity to a lot of restaurants, bars and parks. Very clean hotel, friendly staff. Beds were extremely comfortable and the room was quiet. This hotel is also across the street from waterfront. 10/10 would recommend staying here.

Nice hotel located across the street from the river. The location is a short walk from the center of downtown. Amenities were good. The bar and restaurant were just ok. The food was a bit disappointing and the bartender seemed like he d rather be anywhere else. Overall, I d consider returning.

Don't know why so many people wrote bad reviews. This hotel does have slightly smaller rooms and a weird bathroom, but they are very nice looking. The whole hotel is nice. The staff is crazy friendly and helpful and the breakfast at Truss is awesome. PARKING IS CHEAPER 1 BLOCK BEHIND THE HOTEL by nearly $20.

Booked it thru Expedia for a group of 4 and we were supposed to get " Full Breakfast", but instead my 2 friends had to pay to enter. It was only good for 2 adults and 2 children. Expedia is going to hear it from me.

Guest checking was made simple. Options were given from check in. Check in was expected at 4:00pm, but I was able to check in at 11am. Rooms were clean and entertainment was readily accessible. Rooms were given to accommodate two individuals and payments were made simple.

I attended a conference there. I found the staff to be hospitable and polite and very good at attending to our needs. The food was excellent the space was perfect for our conference. I would highly recommend this hotel for future conferences for your Association or business.

Was here for two nights and had to leave early in the morning both mornings. At 6:00 only Press Release was open but the food+coffee sufficed. Really comfortable rooms, and the tv was quite large relative to other hotels. The view of the bridges was amazing. My one small complaint is that the bathroom door only has a sliding, non-lockable glass door that doesn't provide complete privacy.

Wonderful hotel and staff My husband and I were in Portland for a weekend getaway Everything was great from the front desk to the lounge. The room was beautiful with a water view and the beds were awesome We will definitely stay here again when we come to Portland!

Great hotel for business stays. The on-site restaurant is nothing to write home about, but it's a decent property in an excellent location with truly top-notch staff. Without the quality of service at the level it has been each time I've stayed before, the property would not be in my top 10 with so many other great properties nearby.

Wonderful service. Easy parking with valet. I reserved my room with Priceline and when checking in the woman at the desk made a comment - not rude really, but pointing out the difference between me and the other guests checking in. "My" room wasn't ready but I was offered a room with double beds rather than queen beds, but in the 9th floor - my original room was much lower. I got a Priceline instant deal so my room was about 50% off. That being said, it was completely.

Need a place to live with a beautiful view? This is the perfect place for you to stay! This hotel has beautiful interior and the best part: Its in downtown Portland so if you are shopping at one of the many malls in Portland, do not hesitate to book a night here.

Visited for a professional event, stayed overnight off site. The PMDW event hosting was nice. Our group of 750 was difficult to host. Our exposition area was host downstairs in the parking garage that was carpeted for our event. They pulled it off though.

This place is conveniently located right next to the waterfront and has some really nice views. Perfect access for the shamrock run that was going on while we were there. Easy access to the max and other public transit too. Our room was a little on the smaller side but the amenities were great, especially for the price we paid. The restaurants in the hotel are a little spendy, but delicious!

Incredible service! They were always checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. The room was very nice and comfortable. The valet took good care of us and the restaurant had good food and service as well.

A great location of the waterfront. During Christmas time you can see the boats dressed up in lights. We did have a $250 fine placed against us but Tyler was key in helping resolve the misunderstanding and the fine was lifted. Overall it was a good experience

I wasn't impressed by this hotel at all. The room was extremely small and not adequately cleaned. Parking was ridiculously expensive. Wait time in the bar/restaurant was incredibly long, even though they were not that busy. For over $200 per night, plus $32 for parking, I'd expect something much nicer. This was akin to staying in a Travel Lodge or a Motel 6. Next time we travel, we will definitely find a nicer hotel.

Beautiful hotel with an amazing staff. James at the front desk was knowledgeable and his recommendations were spot on. The breakfast at Truss was delicious and service was friendly and attentive. Rooms are tasteful and very comfortable.

Very clean and well maintained Hotel. Big (500 rooms) does not feel that way, though. Valet is very quick. ! Hotel staff are very friendly and accomodating. In our travels at times we find that very rarely do we have every request fulfilled and extra given. We had that here.

Food in the restaurant is excellent. ! Both Bar and restaurant provide very comfortable seating. The room pics are stretched (as most Hotels websites) my wife found the room layout a little disappointing. I thought the bathroom, bed areas were well done. Modern, some what sterile. Still comfy to relax and spend down time. T.V. very good to have it almost flush, wall mounted. Not sure why bathroom fans are quickly becoming a thing of the past !?! Too much noise for nearby guests. ? Too much to maintain. ? This Hotel definitely caters to the business types, however, for our 2 day stay it was well worth it. :)

My check-in was 8/8/16 and checkout was 8/8/16. My week at the Marriott exceeded my expectations!! All of my needs were met by the professional and compassionate staff. I will be back Portland Marriott.

My husband and I visited Portland to celebrate our anniversary. Upon learning this, the desk clerk upgraded us to elite status completely complementary. We stayed there three nights with a waterfront view on the 15th floor. It is definitely worth the 20 extra bucks a night to get a beautiful view of Mt. Hood and the water.

The room was great and the beds were comfortable but I was disappointed because no pool or continental breakfast the only restaurant Wes's high priced but the food was good not close to shopping

Awesome experience staying at the Marriott . Nice rooms and beautiful view of the river but most of all the people that work here were so accommodating. I highly recommend staying here. Looking forward to booking again with Marriott.

Overall it was an ok experience with lots of room to improve; found some cobwebs around the lambs above the head bed area, looks like it wasn't properly cleaned. That being said, I like the mandatory valet parking, one less thing to worry about :). Also, I like the security feature of scanning your room key when in the elevator in order to go up.

Close and convenient to all the downtown area has to offer. We walked everywhere, over to the Pearl district, Powell's Book store, and Salt & Straw on 23rd for icecream, too. The waterfront park & market is a nice stroll, too. Was a bit surprised at the amount of road noise up on the 6th floor. But, great accommodations on the river and just what we needed for a getaway weekend.

Chose here because of great reviews and did not disappoint. Room feels woody which I love very much. Room came with a tiny balcony. For gold+ members, the concierge lounge is probably the best I ve been among Marriott brand hotels. Ample food and big space. Stayed on the game night(Super Bowl) and had ribs and wings. Highly recommend this hotel!

I would have given 5 stars, but it's a little pricey for a room that doesn't at least include a 'contenintal braeakfast.' I was here for a conference, but had to pay for my last night.
The food is really tasty here, both room service and restaurant. Be warned, if you get anything that comes with house made chips, there won't be enough chips once you taste them. :)
