Had a great stay. Clean and high quality rooms. Great TV services.
Had a great stay. Clean and high quality rooms. Great TV services.
Attended for a work event. Clean and nice and awesome food.
Great service. Nice views of the river. Perfect location.
Very friendly staff. Nice clean comfy rooms. Didn't like that I had to pay to park on property
Convenient location, efficient staff, clean decent-sized rooms. Not a super luxury place, but nice enough and easy access to the sights and sounds of Portland. Would visit again.
The hotel has a great location and a very nice view of the river. The room is very comfortable, and the bed is great. Would stay again.
Very nice place to stay. Very clean, great view, and staff has been great.
Location in threes is the real estate catch phrase repeated incessantly. However, it also has incessant truthfulness when describing property. The Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront (What a long winded name!) is a large, convention hotel in an interesting location. Removed from the downtown location of most Portland hotels, this Marriott forces a 15 to 20 minute walk to get to the bars and restaurants. That can be a hassle considering Portland's weather. On the other hand, this Marriott's riverfront location allows for great strolls along Portland's groomed riverfront, allowing a respite from the urban noise and hustle. So, take your pick.
The rooms are large, non descript, in that Marriott way. Service is pleasant, and the hotel serves its purpose as a conference hostelry. The one thing I must point out, as I do with almost every hotel I stay at, is the lack of storage in the rooms. Why hotel architects and designers have no realization people want to put clothes away, is beyond me. We do not want to live out of a suitcase!!! Cut costs in a different way! However, I realize my complaints fall on deaf ears, and no one listens to me anyway. I'll continue to store my socks and undies on a bench and throw dirty clothes on the floor of the closet.
Beautiful rooms, great staff, and amazing conference space.
It was a very nice venue for a large work group event. Easy to access with great parking nearby.
We just got here last evening but the rooms are very nice and staff. The view from our room here in Portland is beautiful.
Great hotel! I'd highly recommend it to anyone who wants a stay downtown
Friendly, efficient staff. Room was clean and well-maintained. Good location for access to both parts of Portland straddling tbe Willamette river.
Service was good, but the rooms were really small. Also, some of the conference food was pretty gross.
Pros: clean room, OK bed, professional and helpful staff, gym with dumbbells, mats, and cardio equipment with water and fruit provided, great location and nice view.
cons: For the price it was not all I expected. Pay for breakfast, pay for parking, pay for high speed Wi-Fi, pay for this, pay for that...I've paid less and gotten more. Don't think it was worth the price is my only complaint.
Modern. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Would recommend to anyone. Didn't pay for it, company trip so I can't comment on the price.
Nice and comfortable. Service is great, very friendly and helpful. Location is great.
Good stay overlooking the bridges in Portland. Convenient to the places downtown, but even more so for a walk near the river and over the bridges.
Good facilities for work as well.
Great hotel but thought it was off that the showers were very old and dated and there was no microwave in the room.
Room was nice. Everything was clean and the restaurant service was great. Location was nice as well.
This hotel has great customer service and a wonderful location next to the Willamette River. Guests are within walking distance to employers and OMSI on the east side along with easy access to Portland state university. There are multiple conference rooms available, suitable for events of many sizes. The staff at the hotel has assisted our company with multiple events over the years and has always been accommodating with requests. The food served at the events was plentiful and is of good quality. Nothing unusual, but an excellent selection of standard fare, such as pastas, eggs, pancakes, excellent salad options, BBQ, and more. The rooms are comfortable and easy to spread out in. All in all, this is a highly recommended hotel for accommodations and events.
This was an absolutely great then you for a 4-day conference
Good location. Easy access to PSU, transit, downtown, waterfront, highways. Very clean.
Great hotel, friendly staff and exceeded our expectations
Beautiful rooms. I also really appreciate their internet tv so I could watch my own netflix account. The location is awesome and gives easy access to everything. It has a TON of outlets including usb ports. The lighting is mellow which is nice for relaxing and preping for sleep. The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because you have to pay over $40 for
Vallet parking (Only parking available) and they have hidden fees that you have to be careful about.
Great location on the waterfront. Attended a party for a conference here and the Marriott staff seemed excellent.
Staff are very helpful and I loved the M Lounge for Marriot members. It's been great having somewhere to go for breakfast that has non-dairy and vegan options!
Very nice hotel and room. Pillows aren't very comfortable. I don't get how that's true of every hotel no matter how nice.
Elegant rooms, but they are a bit small. The lounge breakfast options are lacking come pared to other Marriott's I have stayed at.
Hard to believe that there is no on-site parking or restaurant (ordering food at the bar doesn't count). Might be a nice place to stay if you want to be in away from the busy part of downtown.
This is by far one of my favorite hotels in Portland. I traveled to Portland for over 6 months and this and the Nines were my go-to. The staff is amazing, truly every Valet person knew who I was after only a few visits. It can get crowded with people who are there for conventions and summits but still worth it. A good hotel gym to me has more than 3 treadmills and the downtown waterfront has 5 so that's a blessing. It's super close to cute shops and restaurants, as well as the run/bike path right on the water. Oh, and the M Lounge has some of the best food. Those pita chips are to die for. And their blueberry bourbon cake is so good I would wait there until they would put it out at 730 every Tuesday. I need the recipe.
We had a lovely stay at this hotel recently. "Jacob" greeted us warmly upon arrival and made us feel at home. The room was clean and well appointed and the staff is friendly and efficient. I would most certainly stay here should I return to Portland! The only issue was watery coffee from the Starbucks in the lobby. We told the woman who was checking us out and she quickly apologized and removed the charge from our bill!.
Very nice area by the waterfront. Scenic view, great food and service.
Rooms in the smaller side, although the breakfast was pleasant and everything you would expect from a higher end hotel.
Great conference venue. Hotel staff were very engaging, friendly and helpful.
Great location, friendly staff. Especially Kelsey at the front desk. Took her time and shared some of the local sites. Made us feel very welcome.
So chic and clean. Close to many activities. The main reason I am giving them 5 stars is because I had a medical emergency and had to be taken to the hospital. Their security team were outstanding. Very professional and kind. I can't recommend that aspect enough. Next time, I will tell about areas.
Workshop support by hotel staff was perfect, always present but never obtrusive. The place was clean, and clear signs were posted in the right places.
Good space, good lighting, just need some better food options for events
Luxurious and clean, this Marriott is very comfortable and convenient but no fun at all. No sauna, no pool, but it does have a gym. It s located in the middle of the business district so all of the charming eateries surrounding the hotel are closed nights and weekends. There is a Buffalo Wild Wings a romantic walk away (12 minutes) if you need to catch a game. Don t trip over all the homeless people that are everywhere- buildings, street corners, on the waterfront, everywhere. Also, this Marriott has fairly cheap room rates but the incidentals will kill you. Don t forget to add parking with in-and-out privileges- $42 plus $5 tip every time you go out. WIFI costs $15. Add this $62 on when comparing hotel rates. Tip: park in the private lot immediately behind the hotel, no in-and-out privileges, $19. Tip: if you go out walking at night, borrow one of the hotels nice sturdy umbrellas that they loan out for free. It will come in handy should one of Portland s frequent rain showers occur, plus it makes you feel safer walking at night in some of the sketchier areas.
Photo: fall sunrise along the waterfront.
Nice hotel. Glad they have water fountains every where! The staff are great. The stairs are confusing though, it's hard to find floors without using the lift.
Very nice and elegant hotel. Awesome location right on the river with lots to do close by. Only thing I did not like is no continental breakfast.
Didn't stay there but the lobby looked nice and the parking was reasonably priced
It was a nice stay but the beds are to tall if you are in a wheel chair.
2 Queen bed rooms are a bit small, but other then that it felt very clean and modern.
Had husband's work party and we stayed the night. The updates they have made are great. The staff was nice. The waterfront room had a great view. The club room has great snacks and a good breakfast great place to hang out.
The accommodations, like the service staff, are excellent. Comfortable rooms, many of which are provisioned with small balconies that gives views over either the waterfront or the downtown area. If you're bringing a car, parking your vehicle in the Crowne Plaza lot a block over will spare you an extra $20 a night over the hotel's valet service.
A nice hotel to stay. Great location and very helpful staff.
Very nice. Clean rooms. Upscale place but good price
The guest room was very clean and updated. Location great. Very happy with amenities and all around, great facility! Only unhappy with bad service from Dan (front desk). If he is so unhappy with his work he should find another job; treating guests with a poor attitude is never worthwhile.
Catching up with some friends in Portland and used the Marriotts bar to get the evening started. Appetizers, drinks and atmisphere were all perfect for us too catch up!
Could not have had a worse experience. Completely fed up with this location and company. Should have stayed at The Nines. Instead of an enjoyable time, ruined by how inconsiderate this company is to local Portlanders, offering refuge to Gestapo fascists.
Really nicely located hotel. They had a very clever incentive to gain points and all I had to do is skip a day for them to clean my room.
Excellent amount of space but pretty much everything was closed while we were there due to Covid and smoke from surrounding fires. Even with the circumstances still an excellent location and hotel.
Clean, convenient location, great concierge lounge on 3rd floor gold and (silver?) members!
Stayed here just last weekend for Christmas, loved it! I only wish we chose the DT location instead. It was a long walk to the shopping area. Their parking service is $30 a night or $8 per hour, which is insane. Other than that, very pleasant
Great room, location. Awesome and friendly service!
Great location adjacent to a nearby park along with a gym and a restaurant located within it. The decor is nice and the beds are comfortable. The service has been great as well
The service was amazing and the room was cleaner than expected. Verv nice linens and good water pressure in shower. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
The view from the room is breathtaking. Neat and large room with beautiful lighting.
Nice accommodation for the event. Food was great and parking was made easy but the cost was high for valet parking but given the options was worth it.
Clean and roomy. Very nice place to rest your head.
Attended a conference. Internet was spotty. Food is yummy and local. Great people working.
Wonderful people, staff, clean area, friendly and helpful, nice location. I stayed for business on a budget and it was just right for what I needed. Also, these guys host the feds which I fully support so thank you and I am so sorry about all the nonsense in Portland right now, I wish you all the very best of luck!
It was really good. It made me happy. I love hotels they make my tummy feel happy.
Clean rooms, great service, and loved the location.
The staff is friendly and the rooms are clean and in like new condition.
If anyone out there is searching for deals for hotel rooms head to . reserved a resort on there and these guys had the lowest rates any where!

I attended a conference here. The rooms were so supplied, clean, and the included food was delicious.
Awesome customer service. I checked out 4am. And i asked the front desk where to ger the coffee within the area. They opened their VIP LOUNGE for me so i hade my Starbucks macchiato and some pretzels.
Nice rooms, great location. Very friendly staff. Valet is $39 per night.
I attended a conference at this location. The hotel is super clean and well taken care of. Parking was a bit expensive so I had to park at a nearby parking lot.
The location was wonderful for being downtown. We loved the room and the servixe. Parking was pricey but we were able to park down the street for a reasonable price.
Couldn't believe how cheap this was! We were able to snag a few nights here via Hotwire. For a little more than $100 a night, we were able to stay right in the middle of downtown...walking distance from almost everything. The hotel staff are very nice, and we were able to check in early.
Room was warm and spacious. I LOVED the eclectic wallpaper and colors. Every morning there was fresh brewed coffee and tea bars and in the afternoon they served wine on the house. My favorite spot in the hotel was the lobby area. It was designed with Morrocan vibes and my husband and I spent hours relaxing by the fire, or working on our laptops. I would stay here just for that lounge area.
Overall the prices made this place awesome. Great staff, excellent location and great perks. Would stay here again next time I'm in Portland.
Been coming to this Marriott for years, both for business and personal. Fantastic location, right on the waterfront with an easy walk to downtown. Staff is first class service and the M Club lounge is the best around. From morning till night they take care of you with good food and a relaxing atmosphere to work or chill. Ashley and others in the morning and Jose in the evening are great hosts. Nice workout area and nice rooms with views of Mt Hood. You will enjoy your stay for sure.
Beautiful hotel centrally located with easy parking and great amenities. Lots of great eateries nearby and great views as well.
Excellent location across the street to the river and nice restaurants. Though the room are on the small side for the premium price. But I was here for a convention and my employer paid for the room. I would come back for a business trip.
Great staff whom were all courteous and professional.
Nice room. Did not get the mobile key to work due to my android. Staffs were nice
Very clean and modern rooms/amenities. The staff was polite and helpful. Only complaint is the $40 overnight parking fee, but it's in the city...so I guess that's pretty typical.
I was charged twice for my stay and have still not been reimbursed for the extra 1,000 dollars I was charged a week later. I have called and emailed both multiple times and they have still not solved the issue. I will not stay here ever again.
The venue was nice. The hotel bar was overcrowded and loud, though.
