The view was beautiful the waitress not so good had to ask for water also when bringing us our order just dropped the order at our table and left with out even asking if we needed anything else see that we needed to order more drinks
Have you ever watched bar tenders do magic? We came here for the first time right when it opened at 4:03pm. The view was magnificent, and I think it's important to note that all the window seats were already full. Within 15 minutes this place was bumping.
We took a seat at the bar and took it all in. Our bartender was amazing. I've never seen someone make 6 different drinks at once while talking. She was clearly churning out the majority of the drinks for the entire place, and we still received amazing service.
I'll definitely come back. Maybe 3:59 next time!
The view and dining area were both exceptional. The food was okay. My friend's drink was disappointing.
Oh my! The food was terrific! The view beautiful. Service spectacular. Piano player amazing!
My wife and I had our first date here many moons ago. We decided to eat here before going to Wicked as we have a $50.00 gift card. As luck would have it, we both left the gift card at home. Food and service here is always wonderful! Tonight we started with an appetizer crab cakes. They were wonderful but not like most crab cakes. No breading, just a lot of crab meat and sause. I paird this with the Grill Martini and my wife had a wonderful cabernet. Cazer salid was in cut like a wedge. For dinner I had Salmon on a bed of Asian noodles. My wife.had short ribs. My salmon was very good but the short ribs and mashed potatoes were out of this world. We will be back soon to use the gift card.
Excellent service & amazing food...as well as awesome views of Portland.
It is a fine restaurant. If you drink, I think that 10,000 people will go over. I think that it is okay to share it as the main meat's meat is quite a lot. The store clerk was also very kind and an interesting shop assistant came. There are also many wine menus.
Amazing Rib eye! Wesley was our server and he handled a larger group of 15 with no issues! He was an excellent server. Polite, courteous, great personality, and very efficient. He made the dining experience even more amazing. Thank you Wesley!
The place for a drink at night with an excellent view over downtown Portland
Expensive, but great view, atmosphere and food! Drinks are on point too!
Great food, and the view is absolutely beautiful. Definitely a place to eat and gaze out the windows at the Portland city landscape. If you're in town a stop should definitely be made here.
Great service and great views. Feel confident letting the waistaff put together a meal for you if you are overwhelmed by the multitude of irresistable options.
Great food, especially the calamri, best view for a romantic date.
This place has the best view! And amazing Food and drinks! Classic steak House!
The view from here never gets old. This place is one of Portland s gems!
Nice place, good service, food was whatever and another place where my Canadian friends can't drink unless they have there passport and I feel like its to dark as well
Beautiful from the service to the food... I can't wait to come back.
Hostess was distant and seemed put upon, drink was not mixed properly, steak not cooked to proper temperature (twice). Our waitress Casie was great and the place does have good views.
The BBQ bacon Burger I had was perfect! The service was top notch and not a problem accommodating my toddler. I plan on coming back next time I'm in town.
Not cheap... But the views are damn near second to none... Come near sun set. Get a beer... Enjoy the view
costly, but amazing place. beautiful view of the downtown and great food. having said that, go to the bar during the happy hour
Expensive food, awesome sushi, one of a kind view of the city.
Was very nice and yummy food. You can see all portland from there
PCG is always great. The happy hour prices are pretty reasonable, but you will end up ordering multiple things to fill up. Everything is tasty enough and the view is amazing.
Great views of the city, super service, just a little expensive.
Great views of a beautiful city! Food is good on the main menu. However, the happy hour menu and quality of food served leaves something to be desired. The staff is always ready to try and accommodate you, if you send it back.
The view is spectacular and if you're visiting it is a must. If you enjoy whiskey they make one the best old fashions in the city
Located at the top of "Big Pink" building. Great drinks, food and view. One of Portland's finest, not to be missed.
Food was phenomenal. The bartender was so rude. A gentlemen came over and took our order and was friendly, then a lady came over ID us a second time like she was hoping they were fake so she could tell us to kick rocks. Our check was printed and put infront of us before we even had waters. We order two drinks and she brought us watered down soda with no alcohol in it whatsoever. She made us feel like such an inconvenience I boxed up my food and finished it in the hotel. Food was great though.
Wonderful private room for our gathering. Food is incredible. Cooked perfectly. Most of our party ordered steaks. I ordered honey fine pork tenderloin. I wish there had been more pineapple sauce but I m sure if I asked they would have More
My family rented out the private room and had our annual Christmas meal here for the first time. The server did great and even was a good sport participating in some of my families dumb games
Amazing special occasion destination. Wait for the window seats- worth it
Great food and wine. BEAUTIFUL views. If you're new to Portland or have someone visiting. This is a must go.
Still one of the best view in Portland. Tips: Happy hour runs at night oo.
Loved it! The employees there are Team Players, they look to b having a fun time so that make u feel right at home! Terry and Austin you guys are Great!!!!
It's gone downhill. I have frequented PCG on and off for 17 years and it has always always been a pretty good experience. The food is not the best in town, but the views usually make up for it.
Unfortunately tonight all that was out the window. The menus were sticky and the bathroom disgusting. I decided against ordering any food, if the front of the house is that bad I don't trust the kitchen!
We came for our anniversary and even put that in our reservations maybe they re not making anything special because of covid but we weren t helped for over 15 minutes the sent water and then when a server came they went to the table behind us even though we had been there first and waiting longer than them. My steak was horrible tough and not good flavor. Will not be coming back way too expensive for gross food and terrible service.
Spectacular view from the top. Great place for romantic outings. Food is great too.
Amazing Happy hour! best at night with a group of friends, try to get a window seat :)
My uncle got married there with about close to 100 guests, the food was absolutely amazing! Bacon wrapped asparagus, breaded grilled chicken, mashed potatoes and grilled veggies were among the chosen. Out. Of. This. World!!
Great food and beautiful view if you get window seats. Plus the mimosas during brunch are delicious !
Great place to go if you want a 55 dollar steak, dessert, and a drink. Not to be concerned though, everything from this restaurant is absolutely amazing. The steak is great, the dessert is divine, and the drink menu is about 4-5 pages long and amazing. The service is great, the atmosphere is amazing, and the overall experience was to die for, plus the view of Portland really helps.
Went for happy hour when visiting Portland for business. The seared steelhead and snow crab was recommended and was fantastic. Good drinks, excellent service and of course the amazing views. I definitely recommend a visit.
Always love it. Has lost some of the zest over the years. A bit less formal or place to be that it used to be. Still good place to go to show a new Portlander a great view.
Great views of the city and West hills. Went for happy hour cocktalls, drinks were good.
Loved it all and being with my hot wife made out even better.
This place is always amazing, come during happy hour and come early or you wont get a table.
Best happy hour in Portland!! So much to offer on the food menu, too! Nice fine dining if you prefer, but we love a good happy hour. And well, you know.... the view isn't too shabby
Great view, love the happy hour prices, especially if you're not picky about where you sit. It gets crowded!
Amazing views, good happy hour but otherwise expensive. Kind of a suburban/tourist favorite, so it's always way more crowded then I like.. They always card, so don't forget your ID like my friend did on her bachelorette party night.
Food is excellent, view is excellent, service is good but I've had many uncomfortable waitresses or waiters that all seem really stressed out which was the only sad part.
Always a great place to eat. Hats off to the chef. Amazing.
Great view of the city, but overpriced. The dining layout is very cramped - and as a result, loud. Their food is mediocre. I would give this place a 3 star rating if not for the view. I haven't found another restaurant in Portland with a comparable view yet.
I am scared of heights but after tasting the food and a few drinks... I'm still afraid of heights but willing to face it again just so I could have even one more bite of the delicious wagyu steak and white cheddar Mac and cheese. If you are ever in the position to go here, do so and you won't regret it.
Incredibly good food, combined with exceptional service, combined with one of the most spectacular views of downtown Portland. What more could one ask? Oh, yes, an amazing wine selection, too! Highly recommended
I liked the fact that everyone was practicing social distance here and had proper ppe. The waiter was super nice and wanted to make sure we had everything needed and was comfortable. The happy hour menu has changed since I last visited. The fries were a bit different then before, but tasty. The sliders and brussel sprouts were excellent. I also liked my elderflower greyhound as it was very refreshing. Overall, a great experience and good time spent.
View is awesome, and loved the lavender martini. Best drink I've ever, ever had. Other than that... Meh... I don't think the prices meet or exceed the value.
Love Portland City Grill! The views of P-town are awesome. And I strongly recommend doing their brunch at least once, but I honestly want to say as many times as possible. Make sure you truly bring your appetite with you because it's all you can eat.
Amazing city views that makes a romantic setting. Staff was awesome, food looked pretty great. Only went there for drinks. I'd recommend it as one of your stops during your trip to Portland
