Don t fall for their warranty scams!!!I guess it s true once you buy the car they can care less about you after. Bought my car from them with warranty for brakes. Come to find out it s written on contract I have 3 years to change my brakes but didn t need to so now I m out money for the warranty and brakes. Please don t fall for their bs about warranty. Spoke to the finance manager who can care less and was extremely rude. Will never buy nor recommend anyone else there.

After searching and visited five Honda dealerships my journey have ended at Planet Honda. I worked with Stephen March and he gave me the best deal on a 2015 Honda Odyssey. He was definitely not an aggressive or pushy sales rep. I felt very comfortable talking to him. My family and I bombarded him with many questions and he took his time answering them all. He is very professional and provided fantastic service. I will definitely do business with him again.

Firstly this was the worst car buying experience I...

Firstly this was the worst car buying experience I ever had coming from buying (3) new cars before at 3 different dealerships!!
I went there to purchase a used mini van and meet a sales man by the name of Neil, who is just terrible at his job and has an attitude towards you not agreeing with him, so that went sour and I got up and walked out. Then another sales woman came and asked what happened so I explained the situation to her and she said she will sit me down with the manager so I agreeded to give it another try. So as Iam speaking to the manager only come to find out he s another sales man by the name of Taylor and so we went over the deal and what a hassle this was to get the car at a fair price, which I still didn t. Next he came with some rip off nitrogen protection insurance which I declined then he came with the real manager and they started playing a game about they are the best dealership on a 400 miles radius and blah blah blah... SO THE MANAGER GAME WAS TO COME OVER SIT DOWN SND TELL U THAT HE CANNOT DO THIS PRICE AND THAT YOU NEED TO COME UP TO HIS PRICE OR ELSE THERES NO DEAL, so I said well then I cannot go over my means I have a budget and that s it plain and simple. So then he shakes your hand and then he leaves in the hoping that you will come up to his price, so I played along and got up and left and as usual the sales man Taylor came running and said ok we will do it for ur price... SMH all games !!
Now that part is done we move onto credit and finance department which they set me up with another trickster named Delio. So we went to Mr Delio and he started his paper work, selling his usual warranties and what not and telling u about his stories to try to get u to buy them. So moving on I opted for the extended warranty, which is upwards of $2500 and it should cover the car for 36000 miles or 3 years. So I figure let me get it as these Honda s are known for tranny problems and the v6 for having a blown no5 cylinder. So I got this warranty and he tells me that as long as I bring the car to planet Honda I will have a loaner car being that Iam from a state over which sounded fair to me. So we took the mini van home and before the first month we found 5 things wrong with it. So not to fear I have warranty and Iam covered under planet Honda warranty for the first 3 months , so I called and schedule an appointment for service only to find out that Iam not covered for any loaner cars but only rental cars. So now I have to take this mini van back to NJ and have to find a way back to NY as I do not have any loaner car which I was told I have. So what do I do? I called up mr Delio which Iam not surprised never answers his phone or never returned back my call. But before I purchased the car he always answered and when he didn t he called me right back. So that s what type of customer service is over at planet Honda. As for setting up the service appointment I contact the sales representative which is Taylor and guess what he also do not answer his phone. So all in all it wasn t worth it to travel to NJ to purchase this car, I was better off sticking with paragon Honda and deal locally. That s my story in a nut shell !!

Changing my initial 4 star review.

I feel like I need to preface that I have NEVER left a review of a place before in my life.

I have never left a place feeling so bad about a purchase before. The first time I went here to purchase my HR-V, my husband was with me. We worked with Samy, and he was great. He explained every question we had, and worked with his manager to help get the trade in value of my previous car higher than what was initially offered. Given the timing of the visit, we were able to get about halfway through the process, but they still sent me home with the car, and said they would give me a call in the next day or two to set up a time to come back and finish signing the paperwork.

Over a WEEK later I got a call to make an appointment to come back in to finish signing. Looking back, I now realize this was intentional because you cannot return a car after 7 days. I go in for my scheduled appointment, and what should have been 30 minutes, took two hours. Nothing was prepared, and the whole process was a mess. Mind you, when we left the first time around, everything had been negotiated, and I was really just coming back to decide my finance terms.

During this appointment I was never once shown the final price of the vehicle, and was told that everything I was being asked to select was "included". The warranty that came with the vehicle was changed, which led to an increase of $3,000. I wasn't shown my interest rate prior, and was never asked how long I wanted to finance the vehicle for. After everything was all said and done, it ultimately raised the price of the car another $10,000 without ever ONCE showing me the breakdown. Every time I tried to ask about something, I was told it would be explained, and never was.

I honestly feel that because I went back the second time without my husband, they took complete advantage of me. It's an absolute shame that these things still happen at this day and age. I'm no fool, I've made purchases like these before, and not once have they gone this way. I left feeling absolutely terrible about my experience, and I will NEVER purchase another vehicle from this place again.

I cannot advise people enough that if you chose to do business here, leave with everything complete. Do not take the vehicle home without completing the ENTIRE process.

Was great, supportive, attentive, and did everything in his power to make me happy. Couldn t have asked for better help than Harold Lopez. Definitely recommend him and Planet Honda!

"Buying a car is so stress free!" said no one, ever! But I can honestly say they made the process so painless.
Starting with Danny, the manager, who greeted us immediately but warm and friendly, not creepy and stalkerly-like as car salesmen are known to do. He listened to me. He listened to what I wanted. Then he and his team, Chris I. and the financial manager (whose name I can't remember :-/) made it happen. There was no pressure AT ALL! I got what I came for and more! Would definitely recommend this place!

Hola, my name is Maria, I had a very pleasant time exchanging my vehicle, actually I went only for service in my 2013 Civic on 12/23/15 and decided to inquire about a new Honda since my lease was about to end in two months. I was introduced to Mr. Kaleem Wyne who was a very friendly , professional and detail oriented guy who explained to me all of my inquiries. He inspired me to take my new Honda 2015 home, and I did it ! He took care of my last two payments of my lease and he saved me a great deal of money on my auto coverage and also on my home . . It was very surprising to me and a convenience , that I could do more than one transaction concerning my monthly premium expenses . I saved money in different way's ... .... " Great ! not only on my "automobile . While I was waiting for my brand new Honda he invited my husband Manny and I to eat at the Honda cafeteria. I am extremely happy with the treatment received from planet honda. The managers Ed and Sal were patient and helpful. Immanuel Grant, the Salesman was excellent and I cannot begin to explain how patient he was with me during this process. This being my first new car purchase, even the finance officer, Joseph Harrison was thorough and it was not a painful experience at all.

Definitely go there for your car needs/purchases.

Shady, dishonest sales tactics employed by this dealership under GM Ed Amorin.
Eric Bonita (my sales rep) included Honda Tire Hazard Coverage for 1 year for free with my 2019 Pilot lease. Got a flat tire & they refused to honor it. Found out later that this coverage was dropped from my lease by the Finance Dept, without any notice to me or Eric. Harassed to leave positive review immediately at lease signing before any lies are exposed.

We leased in July 2019; 8/30/19, I got a flat tire. After confirming who I was, Service Dept said to bring it in for free repair/replacement. Arrived on Sat 9/1; they took the damaged tire and told us that it would be fixed by end of day. An hour later, I received a call from the service dept and they told me, "sorry we were wrong, you don't have the tire coverage. You have to pay out of pocket." I reached out to Eric who then confirmed the tire coverage "was all included" and he would look into it. Left messages with customer service with no returned calls. Finally Eric said he discovered that the tire coverage was removed by Finance without notifying me OR him. Sales Manager could do nothing; I was told I would have to talk to GM Ed Amorin for resolution. Left VMs with no reply. End of day Fri, I was told "Service is now closed, you have to wait until it reopens on Tues 9/3!"

Tues 9/3; no car for 4 days. Arrive to speak in person to GM Ed Amorin onsite; refuses to talk to me. After approaching him, he responds curtly "Call Customer Support" I explain about my unanswered VMs to him, and ask, "Can we speak briefly now?" to which he replies "No I don't want to talk to you." Stunned at his attitude towards customers!

At this point, I was left with no options but to pay $170 for a new tire out of pocket. I do not have the luxury of being without my car for longer. GM Ed Amorin not willing to even try to discuss a resolution.

Unfortunately, lease terms are I have to come here for 3 years for included oil changes/maint.

I stopped by in the morning and was not able to close the deal with the Sales Manager. I returned the same afternoon to compare vehicle colors (I got a better offer from a competitor). Vlad greeted us once again and secured my business for Planet Honda. He recognized we were serious buyers, was surprised that negotiations didn't go well with the Sales Manager that morning, and realized that this was a second chance at turning a customer experience around. Vlad treated us with respect, negotiated fairly, and single handedly saved the deal. Vlad provided great customer service, and his post sale followup shows his commitment to his customers.

The sole reason negotiations fell through in the morning was at the hands of New Car Sales Manager, Danny Odoiboye. Danny has no awareness of buyer intent, does not recognize serious buyers, and did not negotiate in good faith. Danny has a very narrow sales approach - he does not look for win win scenarios, and has no regard for overall customer experience during the purchase process.

In our conversation with Vlad, we discussed several included incentives. When Danny took the conversation over - he rescinded these incentives. To add fuel to the fire, he simply offered a nominal discount on these accessories. Additionally, Danny's sales approach and customer service attitude made this car buying experience unpleasant and frustrating. All things relative, we aren't buying a cup of coffee - this is a purchase north of $30k. Danny was "nickel and diming" negotiations. As a serious buyer - this is not the level of respect I expect.

While we were waiting to complete the final steps of the purchase process, we witnessed Danny's inability to close deals with 3 different sets of customers. I hope Planet Honda looks at conversion rates at the Sales Manager level, because Danny's performance is definitely negatively impacting sales.

Everyone at Planet Honda was a pleasure to deal with. We went in with a number in mind and they diligently worked the deal to meet our needs. Cisco was super accommodating and pleasant... no hard sell, just a calm approach to seeing if it could work. No good cop / bad cop games. The lack of pressure made us that much more eager to listen to our options. We went with a vehicle exterior / interior color they didn't have in stock and when we returned to pick it up, they dropped our monthly payment even more. We originally met with Nick, who was very relaxed. Cisco was the manger who made it happen, and when we returned, Kelson was there to take us through the closing process, show us the ins and outs of the Pilot, etc. All said, they have a great team and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend this place to a friend.

We purchased a used car from this dealership about one month ago for my daughter. This month my husband and I bought another car from the same dealership. I have purchased many cars in my driving lifetime (45 years), but this was, by far, the best experience I have ever had. This is the nicest, most responsive car dealership I have ever dealt with. Our salesman, Rafael Castiblanco was the BEST!! The service we received was wonderful. I can recommend this dealership without any hesitation whatsoever. They are well worth the trip when you are in the market for a car.

I walked in WITH $18k in CASH, walked out, and took my money to RT 22 Honda. I got a better deal, a better experience, and a better car (certified pre owned 2014 Honda Civic Coupe EX-L with only 11,000 miles on it) and I didn't even spend the whole 18k.

If you want a dealership that will pile on vague fees- literally having 0 explanation of what they are, sure this is the place of you. If you're smart- keep shopping around. I'm sure you'll find better pricing, better service, and people who understand the value of your dollar in general.

What a pleasant experience from start to finish. Mark Gorecki helped us out. He was a very laid back, down to earth guy. Not pushy at all and has a great sense of humor. He made us aware of all of our options before we went with a 2015 Honda Pilot Touring edition. When all was said and done, he had saved us $4700 off the sticker price and had us in and out in record time once our decision was made. I highly recommend dealing with Mark and Planet Honda.

Horrible horrible horrible service department. They are theives and take money but not do service. We have the car for an oil change and they charged for it but with in 500 miles again it gave oil change reminder. When asked the dealer they said they never charged for oil change and I showed the receipts and proved it and they gave some 10% discount on oils change. Really. So cheap where as you should have done your job properly in first place. Also they touch car with greasy hands all over and they don t even clean it.

Just purchased Honda Fit from Planet Honda on route 22 after visiting 2 other dealership. Purchased at the price I wanted to Pay. My sales rep from Alex to Carlos and Joe in finance and the Manager in the back were all so friendly, I felt I was talking to my family members. Will certainly purchase my next vehicle from Planet Honda.

Don't go to the Route 22 Honda in Hillside and Metro Honda in Jersey city they are scavengers.

Ashraf Ghobrial A.k.a Ash was the best ever! At first I was so doubtful about doing everything over the phone but he did an excellent job explaining everything to me and my husband. Taylor was super helpful as soon as he learned about my situation and did everything he could to make sure I left happy and with the car I wanted. I went in to get a simple fuse replace on my 2015 Honda Accord mind you a box of spare fuses from autozone costs around five bucks but I figured let me let the professionals handle it they charged me $70 four thirty minute job $5 for one feels that they used come to find out the fuse blew again when I went to change it myself because I refuse to pay $70 again they didn't even use the fuses that I paid for they used the fuses (spare) that come with the car only thing you do with your professional life is being thieves

WORST dealer and people. Shame on them. The way they treated me completely turned me off to buy even any Honda car. They gave me a internet quote on Accord but started playing tricks once I was at dealership. They were intimidating me to buy the car. The saleswomen was literally telling me to make my decision in 2 minutes. The tricks were so stupid that even a kid will come to know in a flash. Please don't believe on internet or phone prices. Loser's. Dishonest. Avoid them.

After 9 months of having my car, I learned from Hillside Honda that my car is missing the engine shield. They advised me to contact the dealer and instead of trying to fix the problem, I was accused of ripping it off the bottom of my car! I'm now at Hillside Honda PAYING FOR THE PART. But thanks to Paul I'll be getting a discount. Make sure you lay down on the ground and check under the car...like who does that?

My credit wasn't the best but Ash got me the Civic on the Floor the one I didn't think was possible!
