Very very nice pizza! Cozy atmosphere and friendly service!

Great Italian style pizza in Amsterdam. Not super busy. We walked in and were immediately seated. Server was very attentive and spoke English.

Very good artisan pizza. The waiting time after the order is about 10 minutes. You can actually see the cooks prepapre the pizza in their traditional oven.

If you are a pizza fan this is the place for you.

Average pizza. Dessert was disappointing: I ordered "sorbetto al limone" and received a tasteless ice cream with some chemical aftertaste.

Great pizza and the spicy oil made from paprikas is great!! Good variety and the ingredients are "real" Italian ones (normally difficult to find).
They do take reservations which is really handy!

As an Italian myself, you can imagine I was quite skeptical. Now I can only suggest it as one of the very few really Italian places abroad I've had the pleasure to eat in.

It is a lovely little place with delicious pizza.I am being a wee stingy with giving it a 5 star because the coffee machine was not working and I really needed a cup of espresso.

Hands down the best Italian pizza in Amsterdam. Proper dough, thin and chewy, very nice.

My wife and I were staying in the 9 streets area of Amsterdam and we enjoy Italian food. We fancied a pizza and found this one had been recommended. We went there on a Friday night and had not booked. Fortunately we got the last 2 seats and the restaurant was really buzzing.
We shared a starter and then along came the two pizzas. The service was excellent and the pizzas were some of the best that we have ever eaten. We had a super meal and the atmosphere was great. We would however recommend booking as we were just very lucky to get in.

Kids running around restaurant screaming and yelling. Restaurant workers were encouraging it and took one child to kitchen area. Children even came over to our table. It was so extreme that we left. Best decision of our 8 day holiday. Also no soap so guaranteed that no one there is sanitary.

In my opinion here you can find the best pizza in Amsterdam...absolutely recommend it

We recently had starter and a pizza for main in Fuoco Vivo. Pizza was absolutely delicious and the starter was very generous & tasty too. The service was fast and friendly. We had a great dinner as result. If we could have a bit more ingradient options it would be heaven.

I would consider myself a pizza fanatic. Everywhere I go, pizza is on my list of must places. I've tried pizzas from all around Italy and the rest of Europe, but Fuoco Vivo is the best pizza I've ever had. By far. They're all so friendly and it's a really sweet restaurant. I was in AMS earlier this summer when I had my first Fuoco and my life was never the same again. Went back a few weeks later and it was even better than I'd remembered. The only reason not to go is because you'll never have better pizza after that.

For sure one of the best pizza in Amsterdam, product with great quality and coocked with a real wood oven, the only thing I have to say, a Iittle bit too expensive l, especially the liquors, for the rest just Perfect!!!!

Quite simply, the best pizza in Amsterdam, possibly even Italy! Has kept me sane during lockdown with UberEats

Went there at 1845 on a week night with my wife, her friend and two 1 year olds. The place was completely empty except for one couple. We were told by the waiters that young children were not welcome after 1900 and were asked to leave (eventhough it wasn't 1900). We offered to sit outside to no avail.

I don't know whether this is legal or not but it felt like outright discrimination. Adding salt to the wound was the fact that the place was practically empty.

Pizza was good on a previous visit. Ironically on that visit there was a family with a young child sitting next to me; and it was definately after 1900.

Poor looking space, so much potential, sour dough pizza Basic, the classic 4cheeses was a soup of cheese, waiters not bad but inexistant, 15.50 for that, really disappointed, 18pizzas on the menu, way too much. Anyway I live around...never again

They don't accept any bank cards except of Maestro. All ATMs around are around of service. So do not forget a cash if decide to go there

One of the BEST pizzas in Amsterdam! Very authentic Italian restaurant. We came for Gay Pride which I believe it s busier than usual and it took 30 min to get the pizza but it was worth the wait!

We loved our experience at FV, from the super tasty fresh pizzas, to the oozy tiramisu and fun banter with the staff. Super recommended!

Very tasty pizza. Maybe a bit expensive, but that's still reasonable with a viewpoint in the middle of Amsterdam.

The dough may be the best one in Amsterdam. But it can be cooked better, since some parts of the sides was overcooked while the middle was a little bit sloppier than it should be. It is not bad, but I believe it may be better. I tasted open Vesuvio and Bufalina. For Vesuvio, I would say ricotta does not add anything to the pizza, it does not make it bad but it does not offer anything for me. Spicy salami is really really good, so to taste it better I would rather not have ricotta. Bufalina has also really good mozarella. Even though, the dough and the ingredients are way above average, I felt like there is something lacking. I would guess it is the tomato sauce, especially for Vesuvio, it was kind of lost. A more tasteful sauce may make this pizza 10/10, right now it is 9/10. And also, the spicy oil is a must try, it makes a big difference comparing with other pizza places.

I always like to eat pizza here. Stone oven and really good ingredients. The large starter plate is also recommended. Pizza Vesuvio is based on the actual landscape: D

Most pizzerias in Amsterdam are crap but there are a handful of good ones - and Fuoco Vivo is one of them. Run by a bunch of Italian guys, this place serves excellent pizza and is popular among Italians in Amsterdam.

Ingredients are fresh and high quality. La pummarola (tomato sauce) tastes great, service is attentive and fast. On a personal note - I was raised by nonna's from Napoli home made pizza - I like my crust a little less chewy

My favorite pizzeria in Amsterdam, and I say it as an Italian doc. The pizza is excellent and the staff is impeccable. Booking is recommended.

Pretty darn tasty! Chairs are a bit shabby. Staff is friendly but bit on the slow side. The pizzas tasted both amazing and the crust is rlly well done. The spicey oil was way to spicey!! Would definitely come back for quick bite type of meals. Outside is not rlly much room.

If yuo want to taste a real italian pizza in Amsterdam, you must try it here. The pizza is a real Neapolitan pizza, made with very good raw materials.
The staff is very kind and it is Italian (that's why the pizza is so good!).
Unfortunately the place is quite small, so it might happen you have to wait some time before getting in. But it is worth to wait to have a lunch/dinner here.

Excellent pizza (really good from the ingredients), very kind Italian staff, fairly high prices, but once in a while and for a good pizza you can do it. Attention, children off-limits after 7pm. Just get to the opening (5.30pm) and there is plenty of time to enjoy a good pizza with the family. A strange policy, but it is enough to know it and in short, we organize ourselves. ... it's worth it!

The food is very good, good location and an amazing stuff.

As Italians used to good food who are skeptical about eating pizza for the first time abroad, we have changed our minds. It happened by chance to come across this place looking at the pizza on the table of the diners and with the clinical eye it seemed to be tried. Said and done ... and it's the best pizza that not even in our part (Puglia) you can find easily. Congratulations for the quality of the ingredients which is what make the pizza and the hand of the pizza maker. Really well done!
