The best pizza in Amsterdam! My BF favorite place, almost every Friday we are there! Nice and friendly team!
Fuoco Vivo is a typical Italian restaurant. The pizzas were very tasty.
Delicious food! I recommend the 5 cheese pizza, the Ricotta pizza and the tiramisu. The waiters were very helpful and the place is perfect to meet friends and have a good time.
One of the best pizzerias in Amsterdam, a typical wood-burning oven, expert pizza makers and Neapolitan pizzas!
Amsterdam-sized prices so do not expect Naples prices. But it deserves
Great neapolitan pizza!
Food was good, but the tomato sauce on the pizza was a bit bland and watery.
Pizza so good that even in Naples it is difficult to find! As a pizza lover I recommend this place, the prices just above average are amortized by the taste it has!
One of the best pizzeria in Amsterdam! Authentic Italian style
The pizzas are to die for .... but they accept the species! No CB!
Best "real" Italian pizza in Amsterdam so far (since 5 years I'am living here)
Cozy, small scale Italian restaurant with good pasta's and decent prices. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable, we had a lovely time.
Best Pizza Place in Amsterdam with the most authentic Italian Pizza
One of the best pizza in Amsterdam. Good Italian ingredients and very cheesy pizza. Their dough made with corn flour is very tasty. A tad on the chewy side when ordering white pizzas but I enjoy it nonetheless. Easily in the top 2 pizzeria in Amsterdam ;)
One of our favorite places in Amsterdam, great pizza s and nice staff!
Pizzas were very tasty and atmosphere was good. We were approached in English while one of the employees speaks Dutch anyway, but that doesn't matter. Downside is that dogs are allowed, which resulted in a group that sat next to us and had a dog with them. Not useful for people with allergies. Furthermore, a nicely decorated place with a view of the kitchen.
Recommended!
Best pizza ever! The sourdough is incredibly flavorful and the wood fire definitely adds to it.
Super tasty pizzas! Do not be afraid of the simple interior, the pizzas are delicious.
Amazing authentic Italian pizza, highly recommended.
Very kind staff and delicious pizza!
Prices a bit high compared to Italian costs ... but normal with Amsterdam costs
For its excellent service and spectacular pizzas cooked in a wood-fired oven
Yummy pizza took a while to arrive but when it did, it blew my mind.
Looks like they changed the pizza ingredients or the chef.. to much cheese and the pizza dough was to thick.. but still good
This place is definitely authentic Italian. Some of the best pizza I've had - and I live with an Italian, so I've had a lot! Would definitely go back.
Possibly the best pizza in Amsterdam but also the priciest. Worth it, once in a while
we have been literally KICKED OUT from the pizzeria at 19.00 because we were there with a baby of 2yrs old: after getting a table and placed our order we were invited to leave the table without getting the pizza cause it was 19.00 and kids are not allowed.
Nothing wrong with waiters who were still very polite, waiters were just executing orders from the owner who restricted kids policy.
The place is not family friendly anymore, what a pity!
The place was just awful (dirty, dark, crowded, cramped and noisy) and the pizza they make had nothing special either in taste or ingredients. The crust was extremely thick, lots of oil and calories. Service was late, pizzas came in 40 minutes. Just go to any cheap pizza place and you'll be happier.
Delicious pizzas! They serve one with prosciutto that has white sauce instead of the normal tomato sauce and it was unexpectedly good. Such an interesting and unique combination!
Good pizza, but tiramisu was even better. Can recommend the place...
Very good pizzas. It is worth leaving the center to enjoy them.
Great quality ingredients means you get a fantastic pizza.
My Italian friends say this is the best Napolitan pizza in Amsterdam. I will not disagree.
Went with a group of 10. Reservation was done swiftly and everything was ready upon our arrival. Food was just amazing! It's real italian by real Italians! We tried a bunch of different pizzas: our top recommendations are ricotta and 5 cheese, but they were all spectacular! Will definitely go back soon.
Pizza is really good. The best dough in Amsterdam. Ait pricey but is always full on week ends so the market must allow for that.
Terrible!!!!!!!!!!
the most unprofessional no atent workers we ever see.
we enter at the restaurant they totally ignore us.
the restaurant whas to warm and very loud,
nobody invite us to seet or anything.
waitres playing with despert cat in middle of service.
very limited english speaking.
the waiter who atend us end up fergoting what we order .
for some reason we whas served after other people who order after us.
i mean very unprofesional workers.
we do not recomend this place at all.
horrible and terrible.
Great atmosphere, genuine Italian cooked from the heart food, good service and a mind blowing Tiramisu! Worth a visit!
Really delicious pizza, I had the affumicata and it wad incredible.
Great food. Cozy little restaurant. Very nice service.
Genuine high quality Italian Pizza, in Amsterdam. Easily the best that could be found.
Nice pizza en very cosy restaurant. Staff is friendly
Delicious food and not too expensive compared to other restaurants in the area.
maybe a little expensive but we had a good time and ate very good pizzas
Delicious pizzas! Stylish and friendly service. Music feels good after a glass of wine. The house's own spice oil is good!
Bummer ending to a perfect night. After having an awesome pizza (like seriously great) I went to pay and was told that the only forms of payment other than cash they accept is Maestro, which as a Californian, I of course don't have. Cash-only businesses aren't bad, that's not the issue here. The issue lies in the communication. It's 2017 - almost 2018 - and a cash-only restaurant - as nice as this one is - is by far the exception; and they should've mentioned that while seating us. I suggested to the staff that a great time to let people know about this is before they order. They disagreed and said that they let people know by... right... placing a Maestro sticker amidst a sea of stickers on one of their windows. By doing that, they say they properly communicated. The waiter even acknowledged that this happens "all the time." Umm... if it happens all the time, then that means the issue needs to be communicated better. Anyway, super frustrating. The nearest ATM is across the river about a 10-minute round-trip errand tacked on to what would've been a great experience. Also, just a side note for Americans... they charge 3.50 euro for plain, regular, non-sparkling water. Yes, the same price as a glass of wine there.
Hands down some of the best pizza in Amsterdam. Highly recommended.
Great service and delicious pizza. Only problem I found was the pizza marguerita, I found the sauce very watery, it seemed that it broke the texture of the pasta :(
As a local person I was having a look to the reviews before coming tomorrow with some friends. I saw great reviews! and some bad.
But what really took my attention were the replies from Fuoco Vivo.
How rude are when the reviews are not good.
If you don't like the reviews is better to keep in silent than insult a costumer.
Great Italian pizzas for reasonable prices. Fairly close to what you d actually get if you were in Italy. However, the place was incredibly crowded so be prepared to wait for a table during rush hours.
I went to this pizzeria a week ago with 4 other people and it was not a good experience. The pizza was a little raw on the edge but still acceptable, but the real problem was the service we received. While eating the pizza, one of us found a hair on the plate, too short to be her hair and when we pointed this out to the waiter, together with the pizza chef, they went behind the counter and started touching and observing the pizza. . after about 3 minutes the pizza chef returning with the pizza in his hand tells us that it was probably something that had melted in the cooking (?) and that if we wanted he could do it again (the minimum in my opinion). For the drinks, we ordered 2 peroni and 3 menabrea, the waiter brings us the exact opposite and pointing out the mistake he blames me for asking badly and with total indifference he doesn't change the beers leaving them on the table ... in the end at the time of the bill the beers were marked as they were initially requested, so there was a slight difference in price which, given the bad experience we pointed out, receiving as an answer: eh but the difference is only 1 euro, right?
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR BAD SERVICE, PIZZA IS NOT BAD
But what happened ... with a lot of enthusiasm this time we ate a pizza at home which I ordered several times at the restaurant ... I was shocked and disappointed I had cramps after 30 min, I avoid adding details ...
Fuoco Vivo is still the best pizzeria in the city. I finally could go again to enjoy a pizza and nothing changed. Great pizza, top ingredients, relaxed atmosphere.
I have arranged a dinner for 15 people here! While the food is very good, actually I think it is the best pizza I ever had in Amsterdam, the staff charged us many drinks in addition considering we will not notice. After paying for everything and leaving tips (good tips) we were short 15 . Adding everything up we saw at least 5 wine glasses were added.
Disappointed! Too pity, because the food was good as well as the service!
Will never go back!
Really good! Am amazed, finally found a good pizza ... great!
One of the best pizza places in Amsterdam. I almost don't want to recommend this place so I can keep it for myself, but the owners deserve to know how much I love their pizza!
Disappointed... After searching on-line for a pizza parlor, we were super excited to read the reviews. But, were really disappointed - the service was terrible, had to go inside to get our drinks, both times - the first and for a re-fill. We waited over an hour for our pizza - which we ordered right off the menu so, nothing complicated - it wasn't THAT good, I mean, after waiting an hour of course we were hungry. When we asked for "parmesan cheese" we were questioned like we were from another planed and told that the pizza already had cheese on it. Also, had to go inside and request our bill. Was expecting more since the reviews were all so positive. Too bad.
Great pizza! Great coffe! Friendly staff! Fast services!
Delicious eaten and super cozy. Graham Hulsebos Sales Training
Delicious wood fired pizza with all the trimmings made fresh for you. Local beer was delicious, Amstel, or Heineken fresh and cold.
Fantastic Margherita. I find a "simple" pizza with excellent ingredients still the tastiest, direct food, in the restaurant, hot from the oven. Really a winner! With spicy olive oil over it (just ask for the bottle!).
