Stayed overnight on business. As far as the hotel goes it's as good as any other. The concierge area was great. It's easy to walk to get downtown which is a plus.
Beautiful hotel, valet is 10$ which I feel is worth it. I attending an award ceremony there. The food was made to order which was nice, took awhile but my food was hot and delicious. It's handicapped accessible, elevators.
I was there for a continuing education conference. The food and accommodations are the best part. Very friendly servers
Rooms are pretty standard fare. And I get upgraded as platinum elite and it's still pretty "meh." Also, the executive lounge is closed on the weekend. So, you have to go stand in the long line for breakfast with everybody. (Pic included) I do not recommend this hotel for platinum members. But overall it's a just ok property. :/
I was here for a conference and the room was spacious and the food was good, but the room could have been warmer.
I was only there for a conference, but came away impressed. The staff, in particular was really friendly and helpful. It's been awhile since I was at a Marriott, but this experience reminded me of why I am so fond of them.
Staff was very friendly- can t say enough about them! Kind, gave great tips and bartender opened our wine for us! You have to pay for parking biggest negative but it is standard in Pittsburgh another negative was our Fridge was barely cold . We stay in the whirlpool tub room it was clean and nice also a nice size room. Close to downtown within walking distance 15-20 min walk. Nice hotel overall would stay again.
The location is perfect right in the heart of the city. The room was beautiful plenty of space. The bed was a bit hard but that isn't unusual. The service is fantastic.
nice location, nice rooms, close to a lot of things to do
The best part about this hotel is the free shuttle, and that's because of the great shuttle driver.
Was there for an interview only but I like what I did see.
Very comfortable, pleasant staff, great service, delicious food.
The location was perfect, being across from Consol is very convenient. Quick walk to most everything and the shuttle service was available also. Room was clean and comfortable. Very reasonable price for a one night stay.
I was staying at this property during Anthrocon. It's not too far from the convention center but after doing a bunch of walking you might want to take the shuttles. All the staff at this hotel was super friendly and helpful. They're Definitely working on stepping things up with the RFID room keys and a/v connections in the rooms. The TV however was a bit smaller for a hotel of this caliber. My room also felt fiarly humid even with the air conditioning running though it was still mostly tolerable.
Nice hotel though the Renaissance not far away is far superior.
The rooms are large and nice with a good city view, the pool and gym on 11th floor are nice, includes a fruit bowl and free waters, I also enjoy the TVs on the treadmills. There was hair on a towel and a dead bug on my pillow, also the stairwell has dead cockroaches....but not in the building, stairwell doors are locked except at the bottom floors. There is no breakfast in the mornings and all things hotel are expensive, but a starbucks is inside and mini fridges in the rooms. Cleaning staff is very nice.
Prices were a bit high, and no complimentary breakfast, but otherwise a fine stay
Room was nice and clean. I didn't really go anywhere except for the room, but it had a nice looking restaurant and fitness center. Accessible to a lot of good restaurants and stuff to do.
Good experience overall, but the lack of free Wi-Fi was very surprising in 2017. Also having to pay the "event parking" rate for the parking garage was unexpected. Nice room and great staff, however!
My fiance and I travel quite a bit and always stay in Marriott's (He's Titanium Elite). This is the only lounge I've ever felt uncomfortable in. We don't look like fancy business people, but that doesn't mean we don't belong in your fancy lounge. It was a little disappointing, but everything else was lovely.
Excellent location, easy check in. Daily parking is $22 with in and out privileges, which we haven't needed in our two visits to this hotel. There's a pull-up area that can be used for drop off, but can get busy. It's not bad to go ahead and park as the hotel elevators goes through the parking area. If you're coming in late though, you'll want to use the drop off area and get checked in as the area uses key access to the elevators after hours. Hotel van will drop/off and pick up within a certain radius of the hotel, which met our needs. Lots of events, activities at the hotel and in this area, so can be busy. Nice to not have to fight traffic and already be downtown! Across the street from Paints arena - super convenient for concerts and hockey!!!
The people were nice. I found valet to be rude a couple of times, which is frustrating when you are paying $26/night for them to park your car right in front of the hotel. Every time I contacted the front desk, it took an hour or another call to get what we needed (toilet paper, packages, etc). The bed was comfortable, but the pillows were horrible. The large gap under the door allows all the hallway noise into your room.
Location is great, and the Starbucks is fast and convenient!
Garage construction and lack of signage make it difficult to find the lobby.
Long line at coffee shop and only one person working.
Was there for a wedding and the hotel staff were super accommodating! Plans changed several times and the staff took it with ease and weren't upset about time changes and locations.... bridal party got ready in executive board room which was a great idea lots of room and chairs for all
The parking garage attached is a great feature. Both security and desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Bathroom's we're very clean and the conference room was very well put together.
Nice Hotel. The room I booked was supposed to have a city view but really we looked directly at another building next to us. That seemed to be the only big downfall. The staff was friendly and the location could not have been better. We were in the area for a concert and we literally only had to walk across the street to the arena. The restaurant in the hotel was excellent. If you are going to a hockey game, concert or anything else in the arena and need a hotel room this is the place to stay. I would recommend booking EARLY as it was packed for the concert.
Clean business hotel. Quick walk to downtown. Super friendly staff.
Attended a conference here. Well organized, clean, and fitting space for the event.
Went for drinks at the bar after a friend's wedding. Service was prompt with a decent selection of beer.
Great hotel! Terrific location. Excellent service. Only thing missing was a whirlpool in the rec area. Thank you
Excellent place to stay. A bit pricey, but aren't they all. The room was beautiful. Beds were firm and the pillows were amazing. Bathroom was possibly the cleanest of any hotel I've ever stayed in. Towels were soft and smelled freshly laundered. Highly recommend!
Do not park in their garage. It's like a roach motel, you can get in, but you can't leave. Overpriced crappy building
Was here for a work event in the grand ballroom. The parking garage went right to the location I needed to via elevator. Also, plenty of TVs to show the events so I knew where I needed to go. Easy in and easy out.
Great place will stay there again. Staff extremely helpful
Did the valet parking for the Penguin game twice this week. Both experiences were fantastic. No problem at all, quick and easy!!
Parking was expensive for a weekend. Facility could have been better marked. Well kept, professional staff, good location.
Very clean, modern and well kept. Exceptionally friendly staff.
Stayed for a concert, location was great. Got my credit card bill charged 36.95 extra. Called them said it was for valet parking which I paid cash. They did however say they would refund the charge. But the 6.95 for WiFi. Really??? Never have I been charged for WiFi.
Was exhibiting at the PA Chiropractic Convention October 2019. Brian Brill, Rooms Manager was so exceptionally friendly and helpful with finding my supplies sent from my company and numerous other challenges that typically arise when doing a show. Kudos and thanks to Brian! Amazing customer service!
Not the best Marriott I've stayed in. The rooms were outdated both in decor and amenities such as HVAC and shower. A renovation would do wonders for the property. Staff was super friendly though, and excellent service. On site pub had decent drinks and bar food. Would stay elsewhere next time I'm passing through Pittsburgh.
Comfy beds, clean rooms, and superb room service breakfast.
The hotel is located, interested in the marooms, neroom service
Everything was fabulous! From the room bedding to the Sunday brunch, to the business center and room service. Great staff, GREAT service and such a great experience! I'm looking forward to the next time.
Very nice venue, easy to find. The parking garage attached to it was quite difficult to get around in and find a spot, however, making it a less pleasant experience.
Dirty rooms. I am very disappointed about the room service.
Great service and friendly staff. Love my room with a great view.
Very quick and responsive restaurant staff, even during pregame time!
Nice hotel. Rooms clean, bar service was nice (limited liquor options, but still good), and very helpful staff. Also a PokeStop right outside.
Food was alright, but expensive. Service was great from the staff.
Great venue. Convenient to the city. Food and breakout areas were well laid out.
Stopped for drinks before the Pens Game. Great atmosphere, tons of fans, definitely stopping back next time!
Extremely clean, friendly staff and nearby many walkable areas. Fell short on a few items which is why I deducted a star. Walls are on the thinner side so I could hear Bigfoot above me walking around, shady guests making the elevator smell like marijuana, outdated and very noisy gym equipment and a strange- completely torn up face cloth hanging up in the bathroom when I arrived.
None of this would prevent me from visiting again, and this hotel was extremely clean which I appreciated.
