Danielle was great! She was very warm and kind, and asked me throughout the appointment if I was comfortable and needed anything. She listened to what I wanted done in my hair and followed through with beautiful highlights, cut and style. I definitely recommend her!

I went there on a Groupon for haircut. First question was are you a coupon or Groupon?- yes.. and they assigned their worst stylist to take care of me. The conditioning didn't really happen before cutting ,they just did a wash and gave me with nasty towels. My hairstylist was the worst, I think she was just learning. It was awful, I hated the job they did! Don't go there ,at least not on discount offer!
The hairstylist Jessica did an amazing job on my hair and the washer was very sweet. The man in the front was a bit rude though, and I sensed discrimination against the customers that were POC AND customers who were either using a Groupon or weren t the regulars . Since Jessica has left the salon, I will as well because she was the only reason I put up with the stuck-up environment at Pilo Arts. Every single bad review gets the same copy and paste where the salon tries to redeem itself by trying to invalidate what the customers are saying instead of being professional and responding with an apology and asking if there s any way it can help. I assume I m going to get the same copy and paste reply attempting to invalidate my experience from Pilo Arts. I WAS a customer, not a competing salon. And the only reason I didn t contact the salon after my appointment is because my issue is with the salon s environment, not the hairstylist or washers themselves, which is not an easy fix. The only reason I m even writing this review is because the salon s Instagram page posted a picture with all of the positive reviews. When I came to see the negative ones, I saw that the responses were unprofessional and misleading towards customers who might actually think that these people who are sharing their bad experiences are lying. THAT is why I m writing this review. My review is genuine and factual, and should be taken into consideration.
Amazing salon! The staff was super friendly and professional. Environment was clean. Coat check and cappuccino during the short wait time was a really welcoming touch! .... Danielle did such a FANTASTIC job on my hair. She listened to what i was going for and delivered while exceeding every expectation! I just found my new salon and I cant wait to go back again!

After having a terribly rude experience over the phone, 3 months afterwards I decided to give Pilo Arts a second chance. WORST IDEA EVER. I entered the salon blonde and I left with black dark hair. The stylist dyed my hair the opposite color that I had asked for.
Later on, when she asked me if I wanted to dry my hair and I answered yes, she pointed the hairdryer on the station and then she asked me if I needed a brush.
I'm speechless after this experience. I'm amazed that Pilo Arts is still open after all the negative reviews and the horrible way they treat their customers. Pilo Arts is clueless as for customer service, taking pride in misusing their little power over their customers and gossiping and talking bad about the salon across the street.

I really love this place. I will definitely be returning and they are very very good at highlights. It s a very nice and clean place and staff are very nice and the whole time your there you can never get bored. The manger is also very friendly and nice. 100 percent recommend pilo arts salon thank you for my hair !!
Hermina is the best hair stylist I have ever had that touch my hair... She is awesome... She needs to be scheduled more. It was hard to get a day off to match her days scheduled. Took me 3 months to finally get a day that matched her schedule. $$$$ Pilo Arts could of had 3 months before. Worth the wait, I don't want anyone else to touch my hair, only Hermina....

Where to start:
Quality of cut and color: exceptional. My hair was growing out, my hair is about 40% gray at this point, my color had turned dull and brassy and I looked so awful I was embarrassed to be there. DANIELLE is a freaking hair goddess. She listened to what I wanted, was super receptive and positive and turned it all around for me. My hair looks fantastic. The cut is spot on and super flattering. My awful color situation was fixed above my expectations- beautiful color with depth and movement. Thank you!
Price. Extremely reasonable considering the high quality of services. I m THAT person who is normally dropping $500+ for cut/color in the city because I thought that s where I need to go. Not even close to that price point and honestly, I reallllllly can t tell that much of a difference. Not a hundreds-of-dollars difference. I m just shaking my head at how much money I ve spent over the years when I could have come here and gotten the same quality.
Professionalism/vibe/cleanliness: very professional but a warm and inviting atmosphere. Blake, the GM is the epitome of a gentleman. Everyone walked around the place looking genuinely happy and you could feel it. Also, the place is decorated quite nicely, in a sort of modern/zen sort of way. In terms of cleanliness- very clean. I like walking into a place that has a fresh smell- not overpowering chemicals or perfumes or scented candles. Just. Fresh.
So in closing, this was a home run. I highly recommend Pilo Arts, specifically Danielle. I ve already booked my next appointment.

Very poor. I had gone in to buy a gift certificate for my mother as a birthday present. It was very busy as I waited to be attended and/or acknowledged. I noticed everyone inside before I arrived attended to and still awaited acknowledgment.
The person behind reception just looked up and with tone of question said "delivery?" This was very rude. If it wasn't for fact that I was buying gift for my mother I would have reciprocated with rudeness. I WILL NEVER STEP FOOT INSIDE AGAIN N HAVEN'T
What a pleasant experience ... friendly warm faces that made me feel right home !!!! The stylist Moe gave me excactky what I asked for !! LONG LAYERS !!! Not choppy !!!! And a beautiful chocalate brown color !!! I will be going back !!
I've been on a hunt for a new hairstylist so I purchased a groupon for highlights, cut and style. Firstly, upon waking into the salon, I was greeted but multiple people and everyone was super sweet. Danielle is absolutely amazing! I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do with my hair, just needed a change. Danielle did such an wonderful job and exceeded my expectations. Glad I found this place and will definitely be back. Highly recommend anyone to give this place a try.

I had such an incredible experience at this establishment. Everyone, from the moment I walked in, was kind, attentive and warm. It s clearly a well loved place. It seemed to be full of regular clients that connected well with their stylist...which is what brings me to Danielle. Normally I feel awkward and like I need to work at maintaining a conversation. Not here. Not only was her work impeccable, but she was a freaking delight to interact with. I m already looking forward to my next appointment!

Jessica was the best! I am a professional makeup artist that works with high end models so I don't go to just anyone to get my hair bleached. Jessica's work is amazing my hair came out perfect and it did not feel damaged! If you need to do anything to your hair especially highlights or balayage go to Jessica she is worth every penny! The salon was nice, customer service was top notch with coat check and complimentary coffee and water.
