It's not that I don't like the place, it's the clinical staff doesn't like there job. Security is so/so & operations (yellow shirts) are pretty decent but as I said ; the clinical staff is not working for the improvement or advancement of any clients.
I do understand that some people do need help but some just like to leave for free, some are just lazy. If I could give 0 star i would of. They need to remove this shelter from this neighborhood they don't respect privacy. They stand in front of private property.
Drugs everywhere. I was offered crack and dope last night. Going to the bathroom is like 90's Crack Era in the hood. Weed and K2 smoke are always in the air. This is NOT the place for men in recovery. Very sad.
people try hard to help people, some people don't want the help, staff work as hard as they can, but if the city doesn't give resources they can't create a miracle, it's up to the individual who come here to want a CLEAN Life..
Not clean. Serves horrid food. Staff had been known too steal.also the staff didn't protect clients. They've beaten up clients. Strike from them. Sold them drugs. They lack information to assist ppl
This is not only a shelter but a place to eat and a place to go when you've ran out of places to ... Project Renewal which this place is connected to saved me when i came to New York City down & out with nothing. I would recommend this building to anyone who needs a meal, shower, place to sleep out of the cold and even addicted to any substance. Many floors with many opportunities to get back on your feet. Counseling available also.
A lot of people from 3th st need help I believe I can help them if the city of new York helps me then I can Train this people to do something for a living And at the same time help themselves what a beautiful transformation
It's filthy and staff don't help clients food makes you sick
For the record whoever comes across this .. .. This is not, i repeat Not an animal shelter. Although not to far from a unsupervised zoo we are humans, And who came up with the bright idea to rate shelters.... ITS a shelter for crying out loud !
