Great "one stop spa". Cuts, colors, facials, blow outs,.... with a nice cup of coffee - Italian style, or.... No need to go elsewhere.

A friend sent me to Moe several years ago and I never looked back. From blowouts to cuts to color, he s beyond fabulous. Highly professional and fun at the same time. He d be a bargain at any price!

I am not sure who the short older white man was (appeared to be a supervisor of some sort), nonetheless he got on my nerves making rotations around the salon. I couldn't help but wonder if he was on something. Next time he needs to go sit down somewhere. Other than that, everyone else was pretty cool.

I don't know why I haven't written a review before but I've been coming to Pilo Arts for years and love it! The service is amazing and I love that I found Dara who knows just how to tame this crazy hair of mine. If you are looking for the perfect cut, the perfect look, come here. Always a great experience. Danielle always does my color and is literally the best colorist I ve ever been to in my life. She s done high lights, low lights & balayage to my hair, and every time it s always perfect. She also gives a great cut and style! If you re looking for someone to give you exactly what you want and more, go to Danielle.

I've finally found my go to salon. I live in Jackson Heights and it was well worth the trip. Danielle did a perfect job with my haircut and the prices are very reasonable which I appreciate a lot. The staff as a whole are all so nice from the moment you walk in. I will definitely be back again. Photo is right after my cut. I couldn't be happier. Thanks again Danielle, you're the best!

Jessica is the best! Highly recommend her. she s done my hair for so long now, and I always feel listened to- she makes sure I m always happy whether it s for a blowout, color, highlights, or cut.

The environment and staff is friendly and calm, I always feel relaxed.

The prices can be high, and I do wish it was a bit less expensive but you do pay for the quality of the service.

I am so sorry! My original post was two stars and I meant to post five. Initially I wasn't going to leave a review but after that mistake, it is now warranted!

I moved to Brooklyn three years ago and I have visited salons that left my hair and I unhappy. To be honest with you, some would recommend PA to me and others would tell me "its too expensive, don't bother". I too judged the place as being too expensive for my pocket not because of the prices (which I wasn't aware of) but by the fact that the store front doesn't have windows. Boy was I wrong.
I had my daughters christening on Sunday and I wanted my hair to look nice. I also wanted to make up for the dreaded hair do I had on my wedding. I decided to take everyone's advice and I booked with PA. They gave me a price over the phone, which was very fair. I was a bit uneasy to leave my credit card # but I did. I wonder if this happens with all appointments.
I was booked with Rono and on the day of the appointment, I was greeted cheerfully. I was taken right on my appointment time, which in the past at other places, rarely happened. I showed Rono the look I was going for and she nailed it. My hairdo even looked better than the picture I presented her with. She was very professional and very sweet. For once, I felt comfortable with a hair stylist.
The salon itself is nice. I expected it to be a bit more grand with the way people were talking about Pilo Arts but its actually very comfortable inside. The price I paid for my do was very reasonable. The price I was quoted for a haircut was also reasonable. I would rather pay a couple of more dollars for a haircut ill be happy.
I will definitely be going back for a haircut.

Color came out to my liking but didn't cut off enough dead ends.

Moe is always the best! I fly all the way from GA to have him cut my hair.

I have been coming to pilo arts for many years, on and off. Monica is excellent and the service is always top notch. The place is getting a bit run down, which is too bad for such a great, high end salon. A little facelift would make pilo arts an even better experience.

Rano s haircuts and blowouts are so fabulous, and very reasonable. Haven t found anyone else who does my hair this well.

Had balayage highlights and blowout by Mo, and I love it!!! Never had such perfect highlights!!!

Victoria is amazing!! I have been going to her for years now and she is the best!! She takes extra care of my hair, as if it were her own. Love love love her!! The staff at the desk are always friendly, professional and courteous. Now after Covid, they are taking the extra precautions to keep everyone safe.

I absolutely love this place! First off, let me say the staff is super friendly and the salon is spotless. I used a Groupon for a haircut with Danielle a few months back and she was so good, I came back to her again. Not only is she professional and knows what she s doing, she s an absolute sweetheart. So happy to have found this gem of a salon. Worth the trip from Manhattan.

When you first walk into Pilo Arts you are greeted with a friendly staff. Offered coffee and tea. A few minute wait then you're off to see your stylist. Victoria knows my hair and my favorite blowout. I can always count on her. Highly recommend the salon and Victoria.

I won a gift certificate for a haircut about 2 yrs ago and the woman who did my hair was very nice but I was not happy with how she cut my hair. She got too scissor happy. HOWEVER, I gave it another try and this time I asked for someone who they thought was great doing highlights. I got this lady Jessica and I have seen her 3 times already. I love how she does the highlights and hair cut. She is the nicest person you will ever meet.

Mo is hands down the best hair stylist at pilo!! He s the most dedicated professional master of his craft. Cannot thank him enough for saving my hair!! highly recommend

Pilo Arts is by far the best salon in Brooklyn! Everyone is so nice and extremely attentive. Everything is kept clean and in immaculate condition. I have been going to Jessica for over a year now, she is the absolute best! She goes above and beyond every time. Jess is extremely professional and such a delight. I see her for my haircuts, blow outs and color. She has been doing a blonde balayage for me and I have come to the point where I give her complete freedom over my hair. I started seeing her with blue and STUBBORN green hair and she was able to remove every trace of it leaving it the shade of blonde I have been wanting for years. My hair is so healthy and beautiful thanks to her!! Pilo also offers complimentary cappuccinos and coffee that wake me up for the early morning appointments (my favorite part!). I will never see another stylist!

I used a groupon so that may be why I recieved such bad service. It was a very in and out service. This place is like the sweatshop of salons. The wash stylist grabbed me, got my hair wet and took me to my stylist without saying a word. It was definitely not the conditioner treatment.

The hair stylist then asked me one question and started chopping my hair which took about 10 minutes. It was so fast that while I was walking out she told me that she missed a spot and that I need to come sit back down so she can fix it. I was out the door in under 30 minutes with a pretty badly done hair cut.

There s no personalization, no get to know you, it s fast and honestly seems to be overbooking hair apts. Like I said it could be Groupon or it could just be their in and out customer treatment. Whatever it is it s the worst treatment I ve ever recieved at a salon.

****Update the stylist (Jessica) found me on Facebook and messaged me about this review which probably took more time to do then she took to do my hair.... lol

Just came from an appointment for my daughter. I purchased a Groupon that they had available for a haircut and condition. Was a bit leery because of previous comments about it. I had absolutely no issue with it! From the front desk , coat check, shampoo, and stylist Danielle were courteous and lovely! My daughter loves her haircut! Thank you!
A side note, please tip accordingly! You should tip on the price of a regularly priced haircut!

I ve tried switching to a different hair stylist closer to home, and nothing ever comes close! She cuts, colors, straightens, and up dos, She does it all!
