Pilates on Fifth is a wonderful studio filled with a team of professionals who take the time to get to know each client. They have created a welcoming atmosphere where everyone, no matter what your fitness level, is welcome. I have opted for private sessions with Taylor Gordon and she has been an amazing partner on my weight loss journey. Taking me from couch potato to energized convert. She helped me to drop 95lbs reshape and tone my body. I m still on my journey but know I could never have come this far without her. Make yourself a priority join Pilates on Fifth!

I have gone to the vast majority of Pilates studios in Manhattan and a few in Queens and Brooklyn. Pilate On Fifth is by far the best with extremely knowledgable instructors, top line equipment, meticulous cleanliness, personalized costumer service, and yeah, location, location, location. They also occasionally offer significant discounts which I am always taking advantage from. My love relationship with them has now reached six years and it's safe to say it's a solid life time commitment. Search no more!

The instructors are uniformly excellent at this studio, which is of course the most critical thing. Their classes consistently demonstrate a high level of expertise and experience, and the classes are always interesting and fun. I should know as I am there literally 4 days a week, each and every week. I've experienced a total body transformation and I am totally addicted!!

I had a private lesson with Emily Anderson and she was great! She helped to work on my posture and was very attentive to the way my body moved. We worked on almost all machines and I was able to improve my forms, and felt my muscles toning. I left feeling energized with no unnecessary soreness afterward. Highly recommend Emily and Pilates on 5th!

I loved taking Georgia s 1:00 Xpress Reformer & Chair on Friday. Her class was not only fun, but she s was very attentive to my listed lower back Injury making sure I was always in a good position to gain the most out of each pose. Best of all, the environment was so clean and spacious I was easily able to freshen up after before returning to work. I ll def be back weekly on my Friday lunch breaks to get a whole body pick me up from Georgia s class.

My favorite pilates studio in NYC! I've been to several and have yet to find a place I like as much as Pilates on Fifth. My private pilates instructor, Mary Burns, PhD, is a certified Simonson and Evans/Bartenieff Instructor (PMA / BASO) - and wow do her credentials /experience make a difference! I have never had such quick results (body tone and strength) from any work out routine (including other private pilates instructors) in my life. Mary listens to you and understand what you are trying to achieve from the sessions (e.g. flat tummy, toned legs, sculpted arms) and tailors your sessions to your unique expectations. The studio itself is very clean and has a cool NYC vibe. The owners of the studio (twins) were former Rockettes! If you are looking for results from Pilates - this is the place.

I have a big possibly threatening health diagnosis...

I have a big possibly threatening health diagnosis that reqires a physical therapy of some kind to compensate for poor balance. Going to PO5 as I call it has enabled me to build core strength allowing balance to come from a less vulnerable place. I had my doc check up a week ago and I have improved! When I have a regular fitness routine, I ve got to like it otherwise I won t go and I like it so much. Everyone is easy going and down to earth, the equipment is clean and my instructor Sarah T is awesome to spend an hour with and is so observant.I love it, and it s suprisingly affordable plus they take some insurance benefit!

I have been a client for over three years. I've enjoyed private pilates sessions as well as group classes. The instructors/trainers never disappoint!! Always professional, clearly well trained, caring and enthusiastic about helping you achieve your fitness goals. The facility is super clean and desk staff are always very helpful.

I have been taking mat and equipment classes at Pilates on fifth for about 15 months; I couldn t be happier. The front desk is cheerful and efficient, the facilities are first class, and the instructors are proficient and creative. I eagerly anticipate each class because they are challenging, consistently excellent, and unique. The classes are small enough for individual instructor attention and demonstrations are provided as needed.
Caitlin Potosnak is an outstanding instructor. She has a superb understanding of exercise and body mechanics and creatively uses a wide range of equipment. Each class is a bit different and she continually builds on techniques that were previously introduced. I not only feel stronger and more agile, but confident enough to try new activities like skiing and yoga that I didn t think possible at my age.

What a bargain! Pilates equipment classes can be soooo expensive. Not here. And if you go during less busy times, it may just be you and a another student with the teacher. The red cord class is intense. Appointments are online so if you're like me and hate talking to a real person signing up for classes is a cinch.

I recently went to Pilates on 5th for the first time and had an excellent workout with a young vibrant teacher named Emily. She was very attentive to everyone in class and able to cater to a wide variety of experience. I'd highly recommend anyone interested in a good pilates workout to go to Pilates on 5th and look up Emily!

A Pilates studio is only as good as its instructor...

A Pilates studio is only as good as its instructors. Pilates on Fifth has excellent instructors. Pilates training is not "one size fits all." The instructors at this studio take the time to understand their clients needs and then adapt the training to provide the greatest benefit to their clients. The studio has excellent equipment. They are one of the few studios in the area with CoreAlign equipment which provides an additional challenge for their clients. I'm originally from the West Coast and moved here two years ago. I'm fortunate to have found this studio to continue with my Pilates training and instruction. Julie V.

I ve been Pilates on Fifth client for about 7 years. I love all their classes since they strengthen your body in different ways. However, my favorite one is Bars and Belles with Michelle Taylor. She has fun personality, is very friendly, and makes you work out really hard. She always surprises you with new moves and work outs. You never get bored in her class. Whenever I would come with blah mood, I would always leave with a smile on my face, sweat on my forehead and my butt kicked, in a good way. Michelle is definitely well educated in her field and experienced.
I would highly recommend Pilates on Fifth. Studio itself is gorgeous, instructors super nice and friendly and very well trained. It is one of the rare places that still keep me in New York.

Pilates on Fifth is truly one of the greatest fitness facilities in all of New York City. Not only is it a beautiful studio with a wide array of equipment, the instructors, especially Kimberly and Katherine, are very knowledgable, experienced, and take great care of their clients. As a client, I've never been stronger and healthier, and I absolutely love how personalized the private sessions are.

This studio has a very positive and calm atmosphere, and you'll always leave a class feeling much better than when you came!

I can t say enough good things about the Rock Soli...

I can t say enough good things about the Rock Solid Sculpt class. Not only is it a great workout and really fun but I ve never really experienced something like it before. I m an actor and a singer and a lot of a performer s life is spent trying to stay healthy and release tension; we had entire classes in school about warming up and releasing muscles. I have to say, nothing outside of a massage or chiropractic appointment has ever released as much tension for me as a Rock Solid class. I think all performers should be taking them all the time. Honestly, I think schools that specialize in the performing arts should bring in a program like this for their students. By the end of class I felt muscles releasing in my neck and jaw that I constantly have to work at to loosen up most of the time. If you re a performer, and NYC has a lot of them, you should be at one of these classes. If you re not a performer, I still think you should be at one of these classes. Everyone should go! I ll absolutely be back!

I ve been a client of Pilates on Fifth for over ten years. Not too long into my tenure with Pilates on Fifth I had an unfortunate accident, I fell backward down a flight of stairs at Grand Central Terminal and landed on my back on the train platform. What could have been a life altering injury became ultimately a non-event because of incorporating Pilates with the PT and Chiropratic to get me moving again. The trainers at the studio were well versed in the muscles of the body and helped me achieve my goal of restored mobility, strength and no pain. I was 55 years old when that happened. For my 64th birthday I was able to execute star , an advanced Pilates move on the reformer and am now working on a walkover on the Cadillac. I m not particularly athletic, just dogged, and guided by the outstanding trainers at Pilates at Fifth. The studio also trains trainers and knows what constitutes a good trainer, not just Good technical skills, but also the ability to explain, pace and manage a client s progress toward achieving stated goals. I highly recommend Pilates on a Fifth; my ten year relationship with the studio backs up my recommendation.

I have been a client with Pilates on Fifth for almost 8 years. There are many classes available for you to sign up, the hours start from 7am to about 8pm. The instructors and staff are very friendly and makes you feel very comfortable, especially those who are new to Pilates. Beginners are not expected to be experienced and the instructors are very patient and understanding.

Bars and Belles is my favorite class and Michelle is the Queen of Bars and Belles. I have taken Michelle's classes for quite a few years and I can't say enough to let everyone know how awesome she is. You definitely work in her class, but also have a great time. She is professional, well experienced and has so much compassion for the people around her. I truly believe that she has really contributed to how strong my body has become over the years. I've told her she is my caffeine that makes my mornings and I look forward to taking her classes! If you want a challenge, she will give it to you with a smile! I have worked muscles that I didn't believe existed. I can say you are never bored ( the woman even thinks of different techniques while on vacation!) and you have a great workout all the way to the end of class. Truly one of my favorite teachers and always can't wait to see what she has in store for us!

I took CoreAligh with Jessica Gallo. The class initially appeared easy, but it became clear soon that this is a rather challenging workout. Very useful too, as the next day I was sore in some normally hard to activate muscles. Jessica is an amazing instructor very knowledgeable and kind. I also felt safe with her which is important as large portion of this workout is very destabilizing. The studio space is cool - very spacious and full of light.

I have been coming here consistently for over six months and I can't say enough nice things! The staff is friendly and there is a spacious locker room with clean bathrooms and a shower. The instructors are wonderful...the website notes that they have a passion for Pilates and compassion for their clients and that is absolutely true. I was planning to call out individual instructors in my review, but when I was thinking about it, I realized I wanted to shout out to all of them because they are AMAZING. The Reformer/Chair class is my absolute favorite, but Mat Pilates Plus, Barres and Belles, and Cardiolates are also spectacular.

This is a lovely studio with some really talented instructors. I ve been able to work with the pilates instructor, Nikki week to week and she s helped me get stronger and heal from an accumulation of injuries.The most most amazing thing about working with her is she is determined to help me feel better and accomplish my goals-get back to dancing. She s like a mad scientist of movement . Her mind piecing together how to help her clients grow. I always feel very taken care of, she listens well and has a keen eye for spotting even the slightest imbalance. Each time I get to work with her I feel a renewed strength. And I learn something new every time! I felt comfortable in the studio too. Everyone inside seems excited and focused.

I took my first ever Pilates reformer class with Erica recently. I loved the intimate class size and the casual but still professional vibe - I always felt like Erica was able to see and adjust what I was doing in an efficient manner. I also liked knowing that in the future I could adjust the difficulty of the movements if I wanted even more of a challenge. I would definitely return!

The teachers & staff are very professional and friendly. There are lots of different classes that you can attend Pilates on Fifth studio. I have joined some mat classes in here. Especially I love being in Yamuna Body Rolling class with Sara Towber. She is amazing - professional, well experienced and give attention to all her students at the same time.

There is a beautiful range of classes and instructors that make this studio more versatile than most. Instructors are lovely, supportive and attentive to bodies without being overly technical or intimidating. Good for folks who are brand new to the Pilates and Barre worlds, or those of us who want to go deeper in our practice. Lenny, Laura and Caitlin are not to be missed!

I take the afternoon express pilates and barres & belles classes, which are awesome! After Cindy's class I feel super strong and tall, after Michelle's I feel like I got a great workout and will probably be sore for 2 days, but Christine's makes me feel like she's trying to kill me... in the very best way possible, but still trying to kill me.

I have been going to Pilates on Fifth for 6 years, and I typically attend Michelle Taylor's Barres & Belles classes. She is amazing - continues to challenge me even though I've gone to her class for so long. Furthermore, she has been able to give me special instructions while in group classes when i have had injuries/etc. so I can continue coming without causing any issues. Simply put, she is the best and I consider her weekly classes a staple to my workout routine!

I love this place so much. The personal attention they give to all their clients. The instructors incredible and deeply knowledgable - about just about pilates, but how the human body works and how to make adjustments if you might need them. Both my mother and I have been going to them for years; they're simply the best.

Clean and relaxing exercise space! I started taking Pilates classes here 5 months ago as a complete beginner, and I have nothing but good things to say about it. Class sizes are always very small, so you get a lot of attention and instruction.

Instructors ALWAYS ask before class if anyone has injuries and actually check in with you to make sure you're not injuring yourself and modify exercises for you. I'm recovering from a back injury (which I got after many years of working out with instructors in large classes who don't bother to check for injuries or are too overwhelmed by large class sizes to make sure you have correct form), so I really need and appreciate this.

The facilities are always clean, equipment is in good condition, teachers are great. Even though I've been taking the "same" class for months, I don't think we've ever repeated the exact same workout, so boredom never has a chance to set in. Love this place!

I have been coming to Pilates on Fifth since 2013. The studio is professional and fun. The front desk is very friendly and always helpful. All the instructors are wonderful; currently I work with instructor Sam who is FANTASTIC. I would highly recommend Pilates on Fifth to anyone who wants to practice Pilates.

I had a really great time in my private training with Anjali Kanter!
Her attractive personality won t make you feel like you are training, but after your body will feel how hard you actually worked out!! As she is a professional dancer she knows and tells you exactly what you need to be doing and it helps me to understand the meaning of each movement along with what to do outside of the studio.
It is totally a different experience to workout by myself than to have trainer like her!!

First of all, I love Pilated on Fifth! I am one of their oldest clients--in age (77) and number of years attending classes there (7). I take 4 person classes in Pilates reformer and chair, and Corealign. The trainers are outstanding: really know their stuff--and they know me. The staff is welcoming and efficient. I don't think you could find a more personalized, caring experience or total expertise anywhere else.

I have been to more than 10 different Pilates studios in NYC area and Pilates on Fifth is one of my favorite studios. The space is clean and airy and instructors are awesome. I especially recommend Mary Burns' Pilates Reformer and Chair classes, she pays to attention to each student and helps you to use the right muscle with the right posture. I really enjoyed her classes.
