Great music assortment, reminds me a lot of Newbury Comics but before it changed to go more commercial nowadays. Don't expect to save any money though

Cool new/used media and geek paraphernalia store in downtown Portsmouth. Overall very cool, but the majority of their stock is DVDs and CDs. They had a new record section as well as a small used record section. I was hoping for more vinyl, but the prices were good. Great backlog of video games, very nostalgia inducing.

This local independent record store has the best old school vibe to it. They have an excellent selection of new and used vinyl but also carry movies, games and merch. Always worth a visit!

What can say that is negative about this place? I can't visit enough

Huge assortment of movies, CDS, albums & movie/music related merchandise. Owner (?) is a little gruff, rest of staff is friendly. I have had good deals on trade and purchases.
Update: February 2019; Same service and large selection. The store in Brunswick, Maine is better.

One of the best local finds for DVDs, Music and memorabilia. A must if your in the area for nostalgia and memories.

Went in as I was passing through Portsmouth. Went back in on my way back today. Extremely good selection in every genre. Very reasonable prices too.

I love bullmoose. I mostly go there for games, but they have a wide selection of DVDs CDs and records. The staff are nice and the prices are nicer

Looovvveeee this place! Practically floor to ceiling packed with CD's, DVDs, video games and vinyl! Great selection, helpful staff, and I always walk out of there with some gem on vinyl I didnt know I needed.

This is the record shop you miss from the 90s. Blue rays, vinyl, anime, rare collectables... They have everything, and they allow trade ins. We love coming here. Always a treat. (Staff is also obligatorily a little 90s gruff on occasion.)

I love bullmoose, at least the big one in Salem NH. This store was okay. Very small and not quite the selections as the one in Salem, plus it's a little messy and disorganized.

Hey great experience - A year ago - I had a movie collection of over 300 DVDs I wanted to sell to The Moose. They said sure bring em in, I asked how much for movies. They said "it varies on tittle". So I rounded em all up and they only offered 10 Cents a movie & no appreciable variations. LOL oh man. I donated them to Goodwill - Hi Guys

I've been shopping at Bull Moose since I was a teenager and I won't shop anywhere else. Wonderful staff, killer selection, and great prices.

Great store, especially if you're looking for vinyl. They have a good size selection of newer stuff right when you walk in. If you go to the back of the store, to the right when you walk in, there is a large section of used and older albums. They have a lot of stuff to find in the $3-$10 range which is great.

I cannot lie, I enjoy music and I also enjoy the variety of music available to view at this establishment; however, in terms of customer service and satisfaction, Bull Moose is unlike any other place I've been to. One of the employees, who claimed to be "in charge" asked me if I needed help finding anything and I told him my friend and i were just browsing the selection. From that point on he followed me and my friend around the store in a close and uncomfortable manner. He once again asked if we needed help. I again replied no and then he followed up with, "are you okay man?". I said yes when in reality he was making me extremely uncomfortable and also made me not want to purchase anything. He followed me and my friend out of the store and accused of shoplifting or stealing from his store. I told him I had shopped there before and had no intent of stealing and i was upset about how i was treated and accused of thieving. My friend asked for the owner or the " big bosses " number and he refused to give it to us. We left bull moose outraged and when we were walking down the sidewalk he yelled to us to turn around, and he then proceeded to make a sad crying face at us implying us to go cry about it. That employee is ruining not only his, but a good company's reputation. Im never stepping foot in there again.

Love this place. All sorts of hidden gems, and when looking for something specific, am rarely disappointed. Could spend all day in there.

Great deals on used music, video games and movies, but the parking is terrible. Have to park at garage and walk in because you'll never get a parallel parking space by the actual store.

My favorite place for Christmas shopping! I can always find the perfect novelty gifts at Bull Moose for my poor unsuspecting family members! Their selection of VHS and Cassette Tapes exceed my expectations every time! An eclectic shop with super sweet staff! Wicked good entertainment!

For a European like me this is pure gold. Releases that you defiantly won't find on the other side of the Atlantic. Come here and you probably spend half day in here.

Been shopping here since I was 9. I'm 30 this year! They have everything you are looking for and if they don't have it, they will call other store that do and ship it to the store you want. The awards card they have is great as well. Every $12.97 (it's something like that. Weird I know) is a point and you can use those to get a purchase half off! So let's say you have 25 points, you can get something $25 for $12.50!

Great northern New England chain. First time to this location. Lots of all music & video formats, large selection, friendly staff. Who could ask for more?

I've been shopping Bull Moose Portsmouth for years. They have a great selection of stuff and out of all the Bull Moose locations they have the best used vinyl selection. The only thing that stinks is their 25% to 75% off vinyl section is considerably smaller than that of south Portland or even Brunswick because they are such a high volume store

Great selection good prices, Salem store has way more vinyl though.
