I love this place, summer and winter. Outdoors are amazing, views from the end of the pier are spectacular. Beers are good. Wines are acceptable. Cocktails are generally good, if you get one of the good bartenders. Music is generally loud and occasionally there are bands. Selection is usually good to great, many of the bartenders and managers are DJs , some quite famous.

Food I slightly above average. Raw bar is good. Fish and chips and lobster rolls are great. Other items are hit or miss. Food is not the reason to come here.

The vibe is good. Bit of an after-work thing. Then transitions to pickup thing with heavy drinking. Then there are the late night regulars. Pick your scene.

Great bar food and beer selection. Awesome location for after work drinks - sunset with Statue of Liberty in the background is never disappointing. Would've been 5 stars if the hostesses wouldn't be so strict on seating.

I came here on a lunch outing with my company team. It was pretty empty for lunch time but we were able to sit quickly. We were trying to find a place that was not fully sun drenched and sat.

We put in our orders and I wasn t expecting much because the novelty to this place I thought would be that it s on the water.

I was happy with how great and fun the staff were. They were enjoying and joking with our table and brought out our drinks quickly. We ordered and the prices are a little higher than an average New York restaurant but not by much.

I was pleasantly surprised with the food quality and presentation. I really loved the fries and I ordered a lobster roll with fries. Some got the fish and chips and salmon. Overall our food was great and we all enjoyed our meal experience!

Great spot for summer happy hours. When the weather is nice, the windows open to the water. Since it's a huge venue, it never feels crowded. The food and drinks are great, but could definitely use some happy hour specials.

Great relaxed Bar on the ground level fantastic views and atmosphere to sit back with friends drink great brews and waste the day away! The second level restaurant a whole different ball game! Have dined twice now and have to say they have rocked the boat (excuse the pun) The food servise decor and ambience are all fantatic. The pasta appetizer followed by what is probably the best NY strip (Sirloin) I have ever had in this city is second to none and I worked in smith and wollensky for four years so that is saying alot!. Ill be back.

Small joints at very reasonable prices have a good selection of food in Israel. Get Egyptian Bean Paste: It tops the list with broad beans and paprika. Or shakshuka. Decent food ... not amazing. It's better than lunch for dinner ... the meals are all kind of small. They serve me warm cider brandy in glass. Not moving! It's almost impossible to touch.

Great service and a spectacular view of the harbour at sunset! We ordered a lobster roll and burger with old bay fries. There wasn t much wait and the food was delicious though not really hot when served. We sat on the rickety benches outside and ate quickly. The staff is friendly and welcoming

WHAT THEHEEBEE SAYS ABOUT PIER A HARBOR HOUSE

WHAT THEHEEBEE SAYS ABOUT PIER A HARBOR HOUSE

I visited Pier A Harbor House during my visit to New York in Feb-2019. The place is mesmerizing. It is right on the river and completely opposite to the traffic just few meters away.

It is a perfect place to sit for a while and spend time with nature and yourself. Just sit here and watch lovely sun, water, liberty lady, ships and boats cruising; and the birds. Feel the breeze and get goosebumps.

I feel in love with this place as it brought me so close to the nature and to myself.

I want short of time and money, hence could not plan to step inside for food and beer. But I have herd that they serve some amazing food and beer. I would highly recommend this place for someone who wants to spend some good time with himself over good food and beer while being so close to mother nature!

Pier A is a magical place all unto its own, a hidden gem that represents not only what it means to be a New Yorker but symbolizes the trials and tribulations faced by each of this country s generations, from the Imperial tyranny our oldest of American fathers faced all the way to today s tumultuous political, social and technological challenges in an ever-changing worldscape. I am extremely proud. Godspeed.

This is not really the Pier A Harbor House. Not sure what's going on but the entrance says Oyster House. It's a long bar with seats of either side. But it's a really cool place and food is ok.

This place is great to unwind after a long week or just to meet up with some friends. The views are breathtaking, and the drinks are amazing--food is not bad at all too! I highly recommend--if you are a tourist, it has some great views of the status or liberty, and from here you can walk up the hudson through battery park city.

Too many unyielding restrictions for today, I wanted to sit outside to enjoy the evening sun & got blocked in everyway. I had go inside to the bar out of desperation, (I was starving). I would've gone elsewhere but no one other place around was available.

We came here for a surprise birthday party for my friend, Mandrew Flantaki, bless his soul, and the service we received was terrible from the get-go. The bartender, who looked like salt bae, was too busy being handsome to even take your order or give you the time of day. Fine whatever. Game 2 of the ALDS was on and we are in New York City and we had to ASK for them to put the Yankee game on. The TVs are strategically place directly above your head so you can't see them unless you snap your neck back and die. When Sir Did Gregorious hit a grandslam nobody seemed to care and the people that did care were golf clapping. Electric atmosphere. As the night went on we proceeded to be normal guests and bought drinks as customers do in a bar. One of the bouncers was having a bad day and went bezerk on us and told us we had to leave because we were standing and being proper consumers in a place that he didn't like. We then moved to a different spot, per his request, and then got screamed at even more by the same worker. The other workers knew he was crazy, and still backed him up and proceeded to kick my group of 20 out of the bar. We went to a cooler bar down the road. Happy Birthday Mandrew <3.

Very nice bar on weekdays. Many people on the weekends. A good selection of beer and some nice dishes. The atmosphere is pleasant and the bartenders are not lacking in humor. Last plus point, the view of the Statue of Liberty.

After spending a week in San Francisco, I am not sure how this place isn't a top rated destination. All I've heard about is SF's food scene and until this point, it had ranged from decent to good. Rich Table changed all that.

I don't want to spend too much time going into individual dishes since they clearly change frequently (look at all the Yelp reviews/pictures - almost nothing was the same on our menu). Even so, every single dish we had was a winner. The texture and flavor combinations were on point. We didn't even make it to the entree course because we had so many of the small bites, appetizers, and pasta dishes.

Simply put, this was top-notching dining. Maybe I'll have to reconsider my opinion on the SF dining scene.

I had a great dinner here last night with a few friends in the cutest booth. This was my second time and glad I came back and learned that the menu is always changing with fresh ingredients except the classic porcini donuts and sardine chips are always there.

Food faves:
Small bites
Porcini donuts - can't go wrong with these
Corn tempura- fluffy almost popped corn with great spicy seasoning
Asparagus with egg- amazing!

Pasta
Bucatini w Gouda- not enough Gouda
Tagliatelle w beef- sooooo good! Rich incredible sauce

Meat
Ribeye- perfectly cooked, tender and delicious

Dessert- chocolate ganache and strawberry sorbet
Both worth it!

I'll definitely come back again!

This is a cool spot with an extra cool location (RIGHT on the water!)
I didn t even actually go inside when I was here...during the warm summer months everyone hangs outside which has tons of chairs and picnic tables to chill at.
I did see a bar inside, but again outside they also serve alcohol and have music playing which makes it a great spot to come with your coworkers after a long day.
I recommend coming with a group of friends toward the end of the day. You will see an unbelievable, picture worthy sunset that will melt any of the work day pains away.

Decided to visit on a Monday night based on good reviews. Party of 6, we waited for over an hour for oysters, then another 20 for our food which came out cold. Waiter was very apologetic and comped us a round but when we asked for management they did not come out to offer any explanation.
