I recently completed Phoenix Strategies 40 hour Basic Mediation Training and found it to be a phenomenal course. Conflict can create emotional chaos especially when managed ineffectively. In this class, I learned specific and practical methods that have helped me to build conversation and reduce chaos in the midst of conflict. I found Monica and Jan to be excellent communicators, as well as professional and supportive instructors. I highly recommend this course to professionals as well as parents.

My experience with Phoenix Strategies has been so wonderful. The 40 hour mediation training I completed was very well rounded with lecture, time for asking questions, hands-on practice and honest constructive feedback. What I appreciated the most about taking my course with Phoenix Strategies is that the support I felt during training didn't stop when the training was over. Alumni of Phoenix Strategies continue to be updated on current mediation news, other Phoenix Strategies courses, upcoming events and opportunities etc. I have experienced a genuine connection, support and encouragement from the staff members/trainers at Phoenix Strategies. Equally as important, I feel confident using the mediation skills I learned and practiced in training and have gone on to a successfully mediate many cases.

Folks at the Phoenix Strategies Inc. (PSI) are awesome. Excuse me for lack of a better word to describe the work they do. The trainers are knowledgeable in their areas of specialization and, in general, they show a very high level of professionalism. I have had opportunity to attend two of the PSI trainings. The trainings are conducted as mixture of informative presentations and role plays. Class time is hand-on and interactive. In my last class, the PSI staff brought in professionals that work at office of the ODR to update us on the how certain sections of the ODR operate. I think that was neat.
If you want to be appropriately trained in the Collaborative, Facilitative and Interested-based model (CFI)of mediation, I think, PSI is the best place to go for the best experience.

I recently completed the 40 hour basic mediation course. I had the opportunity to learn from three different instructors, all of whom were knowledgeable and engaging. The video role-plays were an invaluable learning experience. This was a great introduction to the world of mediation. Thank you Phoenix Strategies!

I successfully completed the 40-hour Basic Mediation Course with PSI. Prior to this, I had researched and contacted several mediation companies in Colorado who provide this training; however, only two of the companies responded. I chose PSI because not only did they respond promptly they answered a plethora of questions via phone and email over a 3-month period. Monica Lichtenberger and Jan Rodgers were outstanding in teaching this class. Two content items most beneficial to my learning during this class:

1. The opportunity to practice mock mediations over a 3-day period;
2. Information gained on how to create a mediation practice.

Due to the professionalism, wisdom and guidance provided by Jan and Monica, I decided to complete a mediation internship with them through PSI. To date, these have been the best professional judgments I ve made in my career as a mediator. I highly recommend PSI for your mediation needs.

This course helped explain the details of mediation that I did not receive from the University I received my Masters degree from. Role playing and small class size made for a valuable learning experience. I highly recommend Phoenix Strategies for anyone wanting to get into the mediation field.

Since 2012 I have taken two courses at Phoenix Strategies. All the staff are excellent. They have many years experience in their specialties, extremely professional, and care about the individual progress of each of their students. Classes are well managed with an effective blend of course presentation and question/answer sections. Staff is very available before and during the course for any concerns or questions. Once a student graduates from a course there is good follow up for 'lunch and learn' events. Occasional opportunities to sit in on specific mediations are also offered to students. I received divorce mediation training from PSI in April, 2016. I really liked my two trainers, Monica and Jan. It was very evident that they know their stuff! They are such skilled, natural mediators. I also really appreciated the in-depth role plays that we did, which often lasted an hour or longer. Although intense, they were very educational. I left training feeling confident and ready to launch my private practice. I highly recommend PSI as a training organization.

I took a basic mediation course at PSI, and I was pleasantly surprised. Not only are the staff friendly, knowledgable, and experienced, but they emphasize participation and practice in transformative type mediations. So as soon as I finished the course, I felt competent enough in the basic skills and ready to conduct a real mediation. There were some university students in our class who had degrees in conflict resolution, but hadn't been able to practice what they'd learned yet. The PSI class gave us all a chance to learn through practice in transforming relationships. The critiques of video-taped student mediations are conducted in a gentle and encouraging manner. I wish more courses had hands-on learning like this, because that's the way I learn best. Top notch instruction and feedback!

I took a Divorce Mediation Course with these gals. Couldn't have had a more positive experience. The course content was rich and informative, while experiential learning exercises allowed for the ongoing enhancement of my practical mediation skills. I felt very competent after finishing this course. Multiple thumbs up!

The 40-Hour mediation training was a wonderful way for me to dive into a new career as a mediator. I really enjoyed the role-playing and practice, which suit my learning style better than the lecture sections. Overall, and wonderful experience and I feel very well supported. As a bonus, during the training I was able to apply some of what I was learning to a personal situation and I found the mediation skills to be quite useful. I look forward to continuing my education with Monica and her other instructors at Phoenix Strategies.

Several colleagues had recommended Phoenix Strategie's Basic Mediation course. I had high expectations going into the class and the experience exceeded my expectations. When finished with this class, I had the basic skills to manage conflict in both the professional and personal arena. The teaching style used during the course was excellent in helping give me a framework to address conflict and mediate in a variety of situations. The best outcome of all from a personal standpoint, is that my stress level has decreased as a result of now possessing skills to address conflict in a healthy way!

I ATTENDED THIS 40 HOUR MEDIATION TRAINING AND WAS EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH THE MATERIAL AND PRACTICAL FLOW OF CONTENT. WHAT I FOUND MOST HELPFUL WERE THE MANY OPPORTUNITIES TO PRACTICE THE SKILLS WE WERE LEARNING IN ROLE PLAY EXERCISES. THE SMALL CLASS SIZE ALLOWED US TO ASK QUESTIONS AS THEY AROSE AND ALSO TO IMMEDIATELY PROVIDE AND RECEIVE CONSTRUCTIVE FEEDBACK THROUGHOUT THE TRAINING PROCESS. I WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS TRAINING TO ANYONE DESIRING TO ENTER THE FIELD OF MEDIATION OR JUST WANTING TO BE A BETTER LISTER/COMMUNICATOR IN THEIR OWN PERSON LIFE.

Phoenix Strategies offers training for mediation, but it goes beyond that. The courses can help in everyday situations as well as a strong basis for a career. This courses can be used not only for mediation, but also in HR, counseling or any other situation that involves a conflict. The cost of the program was extremely reasonable and well worth it. These courses have been a huge benefit to me and I highly recommend them.

I have considerable experience in the business world and decided to enter into professional mediation. I completed the forty hour training class through Phoenix Strategies and the experience was outstanding. Not only are your taught by experienced professionals in the industry, you are provided with excellent printed resources for after you complete the classes. Each participant also will have actual experience mediating fictional cases with agitated opponents in conflicts. They offer the benefit of video recording and review of your performance by the instructors, coaches, and others in the class. I can recommend them with no reservations.

This course was a wonderful place to begin my journey as a mediator, and I really appreciated the support of the instructors, who were all excellent. My personal learning style did much better with the role playing, more interactive aspects of the course, so I found the lecture sections to be a bit challenging... but that's just based on my own personal learning preferences. Overall, a wonderful training. I feel very supported in my journey of becoming a mediator. Thank you Monica and Team!

The instructors were beyond amazing! I m so glad to have had the opportunity to take the 40 Hr Course in Basic Mediation Theory and Practice. I know that the knowledge I gained will be aplicable in any career path I choose. I look forward to attending more trainings through Phoenix Strategies.

I took Phoenix Strategies' Divorce Mediation course and was extremely satisfied with the detailed and well organized lesson plans. Monica and Jan clearly have a great deal of experience and teach well. And their role playing scenarios were excellent.

I have completed three courses with Phoenix Strategies. Monica and Jan are very knowledgeable subject matter experts, gifted instructors, and highly personable individuals! The PSI course model is, in my opinion, outstanding!

The small class instruction allows for feedback from other students and the instructors. The role-playing opportunities are numerous, and add another dimension to the learning experience! Finally, the recorded sessions allow students to learn from their mistakes, and improve their skills, in a nurturing environment.

I credit them with enabling me to acquire tools which are allowing me to become a more confident, capable and experienced mediator. I also appreciate their willingness to maintain contact with alumni and offer them co-mediation opportunities.

I participated in PSIs 40-hour basic mediation course in January and found it to be excellent. Monica & Jan did an excellent job of working us through a lot of material in a pretty short period of time. Both are experienced mediators and have the skills and background to impart their knowledge in an effective way. The role plays and corresponding feedback were a crucial part of the program and helped me to see my strengths as a mediator as well as the areas where I need improvement.
