How can I not stop and applaud the owners of the establishment..yes this is a hard community to survive in..so this review is simply based on my one experience.
Cool location decor and ambiance (noon on a Friday, upbeat crowd. Red flag #1, its already rather hard being a party of one but to have the host simply wave me to the bar, stating I was welcome to perch there? What if wanted a table, by the time my brain decided on how I felt she was already deep into the next customer, OK this time! Service was prompt. Food was...to be honest bad choice in bacon vendor, but peach bourbon French toast, Yup!! Would like a little more fancy unless of course your seeking to be the neighborhood old head spot. I'm happy in the end. Feels like Peaches on 47th is everyone's Aunt Peaches' kitchen.

BTW, I understood the words printed on the menu when I read my choice of bacon would be pork, no need to repeat to me several times "you know the bacon is pork".Duh!!

Great breakfast food and friendly staff. The greens were excellent.

Food was good receptionist had a bad attitude and was very slow receiving our food. Fix that and will be rated higher.

Restaurant is rather raggedy inside. The floor needs to be repaired. The food is fair.

The food was great as well as the service, my daughter took me there for brunch for my birthday. I will be back.

Great black owned business on the Southside, service is awesome, food is awesome and the staff is awesome, keep up the great work in the community.

Great comfortable restaurant with great food totally different from what I normally eat. My waitress was a outstanding with beautiful personality.

What is glaringly clear is that the workers are overwhelmed and over worked. When I arrived, I waited several minutes to be seated even though I was one person and saw available seating at the bar. The hostess sat a couple who I was sure came after me. That s when I asked the hostess why and noticed she had incorrectly crossed my name off of the list. Perhaps the fact that I was into a good book made them assume I had more time to wait. She sat me shortly thereafter without offering an apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. I remained calm and pleasant.

The waitress immediately told me that waffles, as listed on the menu is no longer being served and then she added that they were out of shrimp and grits and about two other entrees. She waited for me to make another choice until she realized that I might need to rethink and readjust my expectations. I thought to myself, It would have been easier to simply mention the few options that are available. I decided to get coffee and the biscuits and gravy. The waitress assured me, Good choice. She didn t return with my coffee until after I reminded her. She brought my food, I ll come back with silverware. I added, And the coffee?

I ate the overly salty gravy and biscuits. Perhaps it was an expression of how I felt, salty.

The waitress politely asked if I wanted more water. I did, but she didn t come back with it. Now I sit here and write this review full of disappointment because the owner seems to have inadequately responded to other complaints of poor service. There was barely anything available from the menu and there were not enough employees to cover the demands of people who came here to support this business.

This review is for the manager and owner to improve the quality of services for this neighborhood by ensuring your staff is not overworked AND properly trained to serve the people who support your business. Though overworked and perhaps undertrained, the waitress was polite. She agreed to not put the coffee on my tab because of the wait. I imagine she had no idea of the other disappointments I experienced coming here or maybe she would have compensated the whole meal. I ll leave my tip for these hard workers for this $9 meal, but I expect better, which is why I took the time to write the owner thoughtfully and thoroughly. I hope to tip your employees in the future because you will have accepted this tip.

Lunch turned into 2.5 hours of vibing in good energy! Lovely! So was there peach tea/lemonade drink !!!! I wish there was an app for this place cause I d be about 100lbs heavier . Chicken and waffles is a winner too!

I fell in love with this place and I've came numerous times but this time was horrible food was disgusting period I won't be back for a while

Waited to long to be served, the chicken was huge and no seasoning on the chicken. Waiter was not that great. Did not check on us as he should have. The grits was good, the eggs were ok. I will not return to this place. No jelly was provided for the toast. No butter on the toast. I was expecting better food and service. I was referred by someone else. Never again.

Loved the decor tried the shrimp & Grits which was very well prepared the seasoning was delish. Grits were smooth nicely seasoned, with a flavorful garlic cream sauce which did not disappointe. Service was naturally friendly neat appearance and attentive. Peach coffee really fantastic!

Nice environment for catching up with friends, menu reminiscent of my childhood, seems to be slightly understaffed, long wait for food.

I will not be able to wait 30 minutes to sit then 30 more minutes for some breakfast food. Unacceptable.

This place awesome. The shrimp and cheese grits were perfect. Cute place with great service. Great energy. I highly recommend you try this place. You won t be disappointed.

We came for our anniversary and the wait was 1 hrs and we were told as we were exiting we would have to wait an additional hour wait . The service is poor I an highly disappointed and would love to have me and my party eating breakfast rather than going to eat brunch somewhere else.

I didn't hate it the service was poor. the young lady that was the manager was not attending to the customers as they were coming in because she didn't want to overwhelm her kitchen still there for people had to wait to be seated the food what's good but I'm not going back there.

This place was great overall! The customer service was friendly and professional, I got my food fast AND it was hot, the portions of food were so big that I had to take most of it home! I got the peach bourbon French toast and my GOD I can still taste it! Delicious. If you have a sweet tooth I definitely recommend it!

Just left the restaurantThe service!!It was horrible they left half my food out the bag ... They didn't give me any condiments.... The peach cobbler was freezing cold not jot a ready to eat ..... Their customer service is not the best at all.....

Upon arriving I was pleased with the vibe of the restaurant and the upscale feel. We were told the wait would be 25 minutes....it was 45 minutes. Once we were finally seated there was still a wait for a waitress another 10 minutes or so. Another table was seated next to us and the waitress magically appeared to serve them first.providing them water utensils and took their order while we stared in silence. The waitress then proceeded to take our order, which we received 20 after the table that they seated after us and to top it off, once we received our food we still didn't have utensils or even water??? So imagine waiting 1.5 hours for food and then having to get up to find utensils while your food gets cold. With all that being said, I came during an extremely busy time after church on a Sunday. The waitress was wonderful and although she made some mistakes that could've ruined my experience, she was quite lovely so all was forgiven. Now to the food....it was good really good and served with a little flair. I would have given it 5 stars but a few kinks need to be worked out. I will definitely try this little gem again.

My pancakes were fluffy and delicious along with the scrambled eggs and potatoes. I also enjoyed the tea of the day. The staff are very friendly and decor is light and breezy.

Please don't be deceived the food is not that good. Honestly, the food was over priced and it wasn't that expensive. The omelets are dry and poorly seasoned and then everything is an extra cost. Very disappointed and I really would not recommend it.

Elaina was a gem!! Even though we've been there before, we had two first-timers with us and Elaina described the different menu options vividly -- like she was going back to prepare the dishes for us. As always, the food was excellent!!

Crowded and long wait. The hostess was friendly and appreciative to everyone for waiting. The waitress was not the most attentive. Food was good, portions could have been a bit larger. Otherwaise - decent dining experience.

Great atmosphere, attention to customers and fire shrimp and grits.

Food was delicious, served hot. Staff and management were courteous and customer friendly. We enjoyed it very much!

Food was very tasty but service was lacking. I ordered salmon croquettes but was brought shrimp and grits and I told the waitress I could not eat shrimp. I have an allergy. The service was slow. We had to ask twice for utensils and several times for our side dishes.

Good food, but don't be in a hurry. You are going to wait awhile for your food.

I waited 30 mins for some cold food after being seated. I feel the food would have been good if it was hot. My peach French toast was not made like I seen on the pictures, the waitress excuse was because the kitchen is busy. I ask for condiments and recived them 20 mins later. I don t think I ll be back here or suggest this to any of my friends or family.

A++ for service. I went to Peach s two days in a row and each time the servers were super nice and responsive. I tried the Peach coffee the first day and it wasn t to my liking (I m just old school and drink my coffee plain & black) - they kindly got me regular coffee at no extra charge.
I had the Southern Benedict which was a ton of footage. If Southern cooking is your thing, this is THE place to go. The biscuit and chicken sausage patties were drowning in rich, creamy gravy.

Love it here. Nice, quaint little neighborhood spot. Last time I was there, I sat at the counter, servers were very attentive and friendly. Get the duck bacon and peach coffee!

We called in an order on a Sunday morning. We were switched around and dealt with impatiently. We came in. Paid for our order and sat to wait. A few take out order bags were sat on the cart near the cashier. And even though we had paid, the unbusy cashier never checked to see if either bag was ours. We sat there for twenty minutes and then asked for her to check on our order. Only to discover the bag/order had been sitting there for 15 minutes.

The food is good but the service is SLOW even when the place isn't busy.

Peaches is a great local breakfast spot in Bronzeville that has a modern but old school diner feel to it. The breakfast is consistent. Although, quite often the waffle maker is down . Overall great food, friendly staff, and great management.. Two thumbs up

My husband and I went for breakfast. The hostess, Sherry, was amazing and very friendly, attentive. Jocelin, our server, was very efficient and very friendly. The food was delicious, the shrimp and cheese grits were to die for. We definitely will be back. Thank you.

I was seated and waited 15 minutes before a waiter came to the table. After I ordered my food, I waited another 15 minutes which I had no problem with that. When the food came I was ready to dive in because I was very hungry. At that moment I noticed there weren't any eating untensils on the table. I had to wait another 5 minutes to flag the hostess down because the waiter never came back to check to see if everything was ok. Sad service...

Great salmon croquettes and French toast. Customer service was attentive and stellar.

Shrimp and cheese grits and a side of salmon croquet. Food was good, the grits were perfect! I would definitely visit again.

The shrimp and grits was mediocre. The taste was ok but the grits was stiff. The french toast wasn't flavorful. The fried catfish was good. I don't recommend this restaurant unless you're just looking for something local.

My boyfriend and I really enjoy the restaurant. The atmosphere is great! The staff is remarkable. Never have to wait long to be seated and their food is amazing! It s a nice vibe every time we go. I recommend Peach s to anyone looking for a breakfast spot.

Food is pretty good service is slow. Hate the tinted windows. Why do we feel the need to hide and enclose our businesses in the black community. Let the light shine in and out it makes the overall community look better.

Nice place to visit and enjoy food in a clean and safe environment on the low end. Breakfast is served fast and the food is delicious. What more is there to say, except gjve them a try and you will be pleased as much as I am. And now there is an outstanding place we can go with family and business associates in our own neighborhood. Go and give them a try and at the same time you will be supporting one of our own businesses in the hood..

Friendly and attentive service, tasty southern breakfast and lunch menu in a bright and open setting. Unique peach coffee is unexpected at first but it definitely grows on you! Catfish, greens and grits were amazing and I can't wait to try the peach cobbler I took home.

There's usually a long wait but the food is delicious and well worth it! Staff is friendly and attentive. I like that it's bright and has beautiful ambiance. Only downside is the volume of the music. It's really high! I find myself shouting to the other people at my table.

I had to send my food back twice, due to heating issues. The waitresses was nice, but the manager was not!

Although they only had one busser/server on the floor who was the same person, he was friendly and attentive. He alone deserves 5 stars but as a place that serves breakfast/brunch they should definitely have more than one person. The food was cooked to order, but it tasted great.

Great food, bad service. First of all we had to wait to be seated as the hostess rang out other guests The restaurant was not even full but she continued to ring people out and we could ve just see you die sales. Once we sit down we watched as two of the servers walked around the restaurant not paying us any attention. 15 minutes into sitting there a nice young lady came and took our order. We watched as everyone around us complained about her messing up orders etc. people who sat down after us ate before us then she tried to give our food to people who just arrived. After waiting an hour my food had a hair in it ! The manager came to talk to us but almost in a stand offish manner offering no solutions. I don t think I will go there again for a while or at least until I see a rotation in staff. Sad

It's so clean they have good team leaders I haven't ate there yet but I knows the food good

The service was outstanding. The environment was clean, quaint, and delightful. My food was unique (I ve never had chicken gravy on biscuits) but man was it delicious. I trusted they they what they were doing and I was well rewarded.
