All these Five Stars Up Here ALL LIES I TELL YOU. The Worst Place Ever. My experience was Horrendous. The waiter made My Friend and I wait over an hour for our food. People who had came in after Us was feasting on their food while We were still waiting for Our food. When asked what was taking so long the waiter basically ignored Us gave Us an stanky attitude then told Us she was going to check to see what happened and never came back. I felt it was personal. She had a very nasty disposition. I don t recommend anyone to eat there.

Visiting from out of town and decided to come here for breakfast an hour before closing. Was seated and water was brought to the table promptly. Was not particularly busy, however after bringing my water, my server did not return and the manager or owner asked if I had ordered after about 7-10 minutes. She thanked me for my patience and had another server take my order. All the staff were very pleasant, so no complaints there. Unfortunately, my server just wasn't very attentive. Very nice, but not attentive. Had ordered a cranberry juice which I never received and by the time she came to check on me I was ready for the check. The food was okay, not great, but not horrible. Grits were watery and the bacon very hard. House potatoes were seasoned well. I prefer crispier potatoes, but I they were still good. The peach compote was ok, not worth the $1.50 to me. Decor was pleasant. Did notice the floors need to be refinished, but the ambiance was quiet and nice. Only used the bathroom to wash my hands, but from what I saw it was clean and neat. Low-key restaurant that meets basic needs. Provided a pic.

A long terrible wait. They were very disorganized with the carry outs. We had to call a couple times for them to get the order right. Then they didn't check the shelves to see it had been sitting there.

Great food and excellent service. Love the catfish and grits. The waitstaff are very friendly and attentive. Those who complained about it when it first opened REALLY need to revisit it now. The growing pains have truly passed. Peaches has replaced Original Pancake House as my favorite go-to breakfast spot.

HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE. The service was the absolute worst. When I told my Dad, I was there, he said he wished ai told him I was going there so could have told me not to waste my time. They said the wait 20 minutes. It was really more like an hour. The server was the worst. She never brought our drinks. I had to flag her down to ask for them. They brought out the wrong order TWICE. And when we finally did the right dish, it didnt have the cheese grits we asked for. When I got the check, it was wrong. The server never checked on us. Not one time. I had to flag her down for everything, even the check. I had to ask someone else to refill my water. Then, when the hostess/manager asked me how everything was and I told her, she didn't offer me a discount of any kind. I will NEVER EVER be back. Never. Periodt.

The absolute worst...I will not be back...waitress took our order at 11:53 and we did not get our food until 12:40...I wish I would have left like that party of 4 did that got tired of waiting also & the food wasn't even good & they didn't take nothing off the bill...You should go to Three Chefs on 81st & Halsted if you're looking to support an black owned restaurant!!!

Waited an hour b4 told that cook was coming. Why they didn't tell us when we arrived would have given us option to stay or leave. Waited 15 more minutes b4 being served half of our order then 10 more minutes for the remainder. Will Never go back!! Baded on the fact that they should have informed us that we woyld have to wait at least an hour b4 being served!!

I really didn t care for the food at all! The peach chutney was horrible and the shrimp & grits was bland.

I can't even begin to talk about how amazing this place was. There are not words for how friendly and accomodating the staff was, or how delicious the food was, or what a surprise the peach coffee was. If this restaurant were in my city, I would eat there three times a day. Vegetarian-friendliness: very high, like most breakfast places. But exceptional food, nonetheless.

Visited Peaches today for the first time. It was just okay food. But it is nice to support black owned establishments. I ordered the shrimp and grits. My fiance had the salmon croquettes. He wished that the salmon had a little bit more crunch and browning to them. And grits cheesier. Due to me making my own shrimp and grits I am spoiled. So I really didn't care for Peaches. We promised we come back once more and try the omelets. Overall the standing and wait time was to long. They did not offer the come first and sit in the back area. And you wait to long for your check. The server was nice.

Good seasoning and Flavor are excellent , but the place could use more ambience and faster service.

Well, we ordered the veggie egg white omelette that was accompanied with the house potatoes, and sourdough toast. Also ordered the southern Benedict which came with chicken sausage, poached eggs, on to of the home made biscuit. Smothered in the house gravy. Where do I begin. First off, when the plate arrived for the Benedict, I immediately sent the eggs back because they were undercooked and sloppily presented. The egg white omelet was burnt, bland, and minimal veggies. The house potatoes were burnt, and bland as well. Once I reordered my eggs(I decided to go with the safer bet and.chose over medium,) the gravy was very salty and the biscuit was dense and once again void of flavor. The best thing we ate was the sourdough toast, and my reordered eggs. I feel that we got the bottom of the barrel service, and they were trying to rush us out being it was an hour before their close. Paid 30$ for a meal that we could have made at home. We live close and walked anticipating eating here, and unfortunately we're underwelemed with both the food and the service.Would not recommend to anyone looking for a true southern, comforting meal. We left unsatisfied, and hungry.. however, we still left a reasonable tip. To each their own.

Its different, not really my style restaurant. Not much of a variety on the menu. The catfish was good, but I think all the food was either salty or not really seasoned. Its expensive, almost 8 dollars for 2 pancakes. Long wait, but it was a sunday.

Today my friend and I ate at Peach's. I enjoyed our experience. The wait was 20 minutes, its a clean space and the breakfast was delicious.

I did a carry out order of the Fried Chicken and Cinnamon French Toast and Honey Butter, sounds great right? I have had the Shrimp and Grits with Turkey Bacon, and enjoyed it (the portion size is a challenge).

For the price ($13), I felt the portion was on the small side. There were (3) bread halves, and (4) small chicken wings, while the chicken was well seasoned, they were rubbery (a very offputting texture). The French toast was ok, but the honey butter lacked flavor. I was hungry, disappointed, and still hungry when I finished (and even more disappointed). I give 3 stars for customer service.

There are much better breakfast spots. The pancakes tasted like the packaged, microwaved ones. My 6 year old didn't enjoy her food (pancakes and turkey bacon) and she's a kid. I wanted this place to be great but it's terrible. My cousin and friend agreed.

We re regulars here & the service and overall experience are normally very good. Today, however, the complete opposite. We were told there would be a 15-minute wait & ended up being 45-50 minutes. Which would ve been okay had others who walked in after us not been seated first. We waited 30-40 minutes for our food. When it came out, the biscuits & gravy meal was missing the chicken sausage. We advised someone of the issue, they stated they d grab it. No problem. 10 minutes pass, nothing. Advised our waiter, he said he d get it. Another 10 minutes, nothing. Wasn t until we told the hostess who passed that we got half of what we requested. Took another 10 minutes to get the other item we asked for. The hostess was the only one concerned with our experience the entire visit. We were then told the bill would be adjusted for the issues. Went to pay & $1 was taken off the bill .. $1. VERY disappointed. Especially being regulars.

The food was amazing, couldn t decide on what to have so me and my party shared a few entrees and sides. Shrimp and grits, duck bacon, catfish, pancakes... oh my... our server Lanaesha was phenomenal, checking on us every few minutes. This will be a regular spot for us.

Excellent breakfast and brunch in the heart of Bronzeville. It s always pretty busy, but you re probably going to be able to grab a free table. The coffee is DELICIOUS and smooth, and there are plenty of options to choose from. The portions are big; I find that I don t have room for extra sides because the dishes are big enough by themselves.

When they're busy the wait time goes way up. I ordered the salmon croquettes-too salty for my taste. Otherwise the food is pretty good.

The service was great. The food was filling but not exceptional. I had the catfish and greens with grits. The catfish was very good, the greens did not taste like fresh greens and the grits were lumpy. The peach coffee was very good.

Ordered 2 meals (over the phone) for pickup. Got home with the bag, and half the meal was missing. Spoke to the manager, Who said they forgot to put French toast in the bag but that they didn t charge for the duck bacon, which I definitely ordered. Seeing as though there were 2 mistakes on their part, I asked Them to comp my duck bacon for the inconvenience of taking my order incorrectly and having to go back to pick up what I ve already paid for...she said no, with no empathy. Bad customer service.

The shrimp and grits is really great. They are not too crowded during breakfast time. The staff seemed friendly and the seating is nicely spaced.

Peaches is delicious and they have a variety of options of breakfast foods to choose from..check the hours, they close early and depending on your budget, can be just right or a bit costly..but worth it for a nice breakfast...be prepared to wait, it can get pretty busy.

I recently had a celebration with 12 other people at Peaches. We all had a wonderful eating experience. I love the natural light that flows into the restaurant and appreciated that it was so clean. The atmosphere was mellow with 70's music playing in the background. The staff was friendly and professional and the waiters were attentive. The food was excellent! We are sure to go back and also recommend this to others.

Also, your hostess should acknowledge when people are present and waiting to be seated. The phones can wait. Letting some1 know that's present "today we are understaffed" that goes a long way. I walked out due to the time it took for acknowledgement.

My service was great but the food was okay, my potatoes were served cold had to send them back.

Its worth the wait! To serve 12-15 folks is a challenge after church on a sunday, must be able to be split up or you will walk out and miss a great meal

I will never come back here and spend my hard earned money just to wait a hour on a to go order and my order was not correct and the food looked like it had been in a war zone. I spent 31 dollars on 12/13/19 and my host was Shawnta C. Just to say I know this is not acceptable you are correct hell no it's not. Then ask me do I want some coffee or another orange juice, sorry I dont want anything from this place. I watch 9 people that was sitting down to eat leave out. Enough said.

I had a wonderful experience. The food was very good but the wait was long.
