PCs & Parts Review

I purchased a used computer a few months ago and just Monday it would not work. I called the shop and they told me to bring it in. Although they usually only warranty the computers for 30 days, Ron honored a 90 day warranty and corrected the problem with no charge. Ron was extremely pleasant and informative. I appreciated when they called to tell me what was wrong and when they thought it would be done. They finished in one day and called for me to pick it up. Ron answered all my questions and was very nice. This is the second time I have had work done by Pcs and Parts and would highly recommend this business.

By far the most overpriced PC hardware store I have ever seen. Its honestly sickening as you know that they are taking advantage if people who dont have knowledge of the the PC hardware market and its prices. Do not buy parts from here. Use Amazon, Newegg, Microcenter, or Fry's as these are all competitive price matching businesses.

They get to the point and are extremely reasonable. Good service for a fair price.

Just dropped an ancient laptop off that others said was hopeless.These guys gave me an encouraging report, they think they can get us up and running again. For the intelligent diagnostic discussion alone the deserve the stars!!

Incredibly friendly incredibly helpful. Immediately started looking at my computer letting me watch. The shop has been in Loveland as long as I've been in Loveland. Frankly with all the fly-by-nights popping up here in town they're the only ones I would go to

The first time I went there with a hardware problem with my laptop, They took the time to explain what happened and how it would be fixed. In the best, most effective and reasonable manner. Most of the times I have been there, they fixed it quickly, in my presence, and I was on my way with my laptop in hand.

Knowledgeable, helpful, listen, A+ customer service. Would not go anywhere else for hands on computer help.

Very informed and friendly, with prices about the same as everyone else, and they know the products they sell. They restored a netbook OS for me last week, when they tested it they noticed it was slower than snail snot (it was indeed a slow old dog), they tried upgrading RAM and it helped considerably, and called and asked me to come check it out and see if I wanted to keep it in. That was only a $10 upcharge for the new RAM and of course no charge for the experiment. My previous experience with them was buying a wifi router, and again it was "we really like this one and recommend you try it" and indeed it's been a long-range hotrod for a few years now.
My impression of these folks is that they look at your IT problems from the perspective of YOU and what you need, rather than what gets them the most profit.

Far better help and advice than the Big Box stores, and really at about the same price. I'll never set foot in Best Buy again, they are all about sales commissions, pushy salespeople who can't count to 5 on 2 hands, and worthless extended warranties. Big corporate.

Buy local instead.

These guys are the best. I am self employed and I sell on the internet. They always have an answer for me and Rod has been to my home several times for network & QuickBook assistance. I can't get along without them.

I was nervous about going here after reading the reviews. I was looking to build a NAS from an old PC tower but kept running into snags with the 4 desktops I already had. I needed a new case and wanted it yesterday. I called PCs & Parts and explained my situation. In the end it was more cost effective for me to purchase a complete used PC than to get the parts to make what I had work. The knowledgeable staff helped walk me through all my options and the pro's and con's of each way. When all was said and done I was able to build not only the NAS that I was working on but also a sweet media server from the tower they sold me. About a month later, during another PC build that I'd hit a snag on they were my first call. While they didn't have what i was looking for they did tell me where I'd find what i wanted so i now have 2 amazing sources for instant gratification.

Yes, you can get your parts cheaper off of the internet... sometimes. But you don't get the service of knowledge people. You also aren't walking away from the internet with the exact part you need right now!

Like other reviews say, great service. The staff clearly stated pricing up front (extremely reasonable) and said they would let me know if they found anything that went beyond a basic diagnostic and repair. PC was fixed in 24 hours. Staff was courteous and kind--Nick even carried it out to my car when I picked it up. Would definitely use them again. Highly recommended!

What a great experience. I went in thinking I needed a new video card, but the fix turned out to be much simpler. I had my computer back in good working order within a couple of hours, and the cost was more than reasonable--a bargain, in fact. It was a pleasure to do business here.

We've taken our computers here a couple times but with excellent to terrible results. One computer came back fixed like it was supposed to but they had removed the security program from it WITH OUT ASKING! We paid a fair bit of money for that program too. They then installed another free version of another internet security program, while the program works well, you will be bombarded all day with ads telling you to buy the paid version of the programs. Then the second computer we take in, comes back also with out programs, this time it was Microsoft Office. They were very rude in dealing with us when we told them about the issue, and were very unhelpful in recovering the program. So don't take your computer here unless you want to come back with missing programs.

My first encounter with PCs and Parts was in January of 2015. It's not often to find a business that is great from the start. I have been fortunate to know that they are there to follow up repairs and needed parts for my computers. Recently, I spent an entire day trying to address a concern with one of desktops. I gave up and brought it the PCs and Parts ( like I should have from the start) and it was ready to be picked up that same day. Wow! If you might have a needs for assistance with your IT needs, go here first.

The husband and wife owners are good - very good...the husband is amazing at what he does. However the kids they have as cheap labor kill it, I won't be going there again.

I built my first higher end computer and decided to mess with the bios a lot more than I should have. Needless to say I couldn t boot the computer and I needed the expertise of someone who knows computers a lot better than I do. Chris was awesome, and the charge for getting my bios back on track was more than fair. He also sent me instructions to get a problematic optane memory card working. It s great to have a local independently owned and operated computer repair and sales store. Keep up the great work, PCs and Parts. I will be back when the need arises.

This place is the best!! I went in looking for a very specific tiny screw for a hard dive mount. They had the exact one I needed plus hundreds more. I highly recommend this place for any computer need or question!

They were so helpful. They spent time with me to figure out what was wrong with my computer and how to fix it. They did not even charge me for their time. I highly recommend this place.

Rob the owner had a sour attitude and only gave an offer of $75 for a gaming PC with 16Gb of RAM. Was ignored by staff as well. When I called him over the phone he said $300. Very disappointed.

Staff was very friendly to work with and weren't worried that I wasn't very tech savvy. I went in with a computer that wouldn't start up due to the motherboard being fried, they replaced it quickly and cheap for me. The computer then started having more issues and they had me bring it back in and they fixed all of that for no charge. Awesome guys down there.

Honestly, PCs and Parts has never disappointed me. Over the years they always impress me. Often, just a quick comment, a fast fix at no charge. If charged, reasonable and problem solved. Love them. Nancy D

We have used this company about 4 times and they have been great every time. The last two times I took in a computer the problem was a quick fix and they didn't charge me. I insisted the 2nd time to pay something and they only charged me $25.00. Great service, Great price, I will always use them.

Excellent customer service and timely repair. Left my desktop suffering from BSOD. Also left a 1TB SSD for them to install and transfer my OS to. Had my desktop back in less than 24 hours for only $75! Fantastic group of techs and all very courteous, friendly, and knowledgeable.

Tried to install QuickBooks 2020 ran into a glitch. Collins help me restore my files and get Quickbooks up and running through remote access. I would recommend this company highly.

I thought my monitor was dead. I brought in my monitor and cords. they spent a few minutes testing the hook ups and found that the cord I was using was not the original cord. So they just gave me the cord. When I asked what I owed them, they said no charge. Wow! that kind of local service is just so rare. Thank you very much Pcs and Parts!

Went in to get parts, sales person was ??? Then a little old lady started to preach religion, I came in to get parts not to be reborn. I'll take my business elsewhere. I give it a minus 1 star

These people are honest, very helpful and friendly. My parents take their computer needs here and now I do too. They have helped us several times without charge and when there is a cost, they are very reasonable.

Paid them to transfer files off a computer to a new one. They did a poor job, maybe got half of them. Even simple word documents were not transferred. Would not recommend them.

Wish I couldn t even put a star!!! Went in to have some soldering done, they acted like it was a act on congress and that I also wanted the repair for free. I told them I had no problem paying for repair even if they were unsuccessful .. I finally grabbed my part and walked out saying I ll go somewhere else first and last time I ll step foot in there !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I asked Morris if he could order me a new keypad for my laptop.Rod the owner said they could for a small fee.I received it in less than a week, installed it myself and it's working great.If i need parts or some work done on my computer in the future i would not hesitate to call these folks. Been in here a handful of times. The owner and staff are all amazing to work with. Solved my problem quickly and were even nice enough to keep 600gb of my harddrive on their server just to ensure I have a backup for 30 days. Incredible customer service and really knowledgeable staff. Will go here for every PC problem in the future.

Great shop! I wanted to get a cooling issue fixed ASAP, and they were able to get me in and out within an hour, and the prices were way better than expected.

I went to PC & Parts yesterday for a stuck key and they were super helpful. I called in advance and the man on the phone was eager to help and told me he could take a look. When I got to the store, there were about 3 people in front of me but I was helped in less than 10 minute. They said a key repair was expensive but offered to clean it for free and see if that was the problem. In the end, cleaning it solved the problem and they didn t charge me for anything. I would highly recommend this place if you want genuine, knowledgeable , computer repair people!

RECOMMENDED!!! This is the best computer store I have ever dealt with. They are honest, knowledgeable and their prices are as good as on-line stores such as Amazon and Newegg. Their target market is mostly young people but I feel comfortable doing business there even though I am retired (AKA old fart). I worked with computers my whole career and when I talk to them I can tell that they know what they are talking about.

I took my PC desktop in for upgrade over 3 months ago and they did a pretty good job. 2 days ago I took it in because of a power fluctuation kept causing my monitor to shut off, but my desktop was still running. Guys knew what they were doing, the tech told me it was a power cable ( that they installed with the upgrade) that was connected from the power converter to the rest of my computer. To my dismay they charged me for it. This should of been warranty work considering it was only 3 months old and they installed it that way.

Laptop used for work died. Rod quickly diagnosed. Had it up and running within 24 hours. Customer service, price, turn around time - all absolutely amazing. I hope you stay in business forever. 5 STARS PLUS!!.

I just bought a refurb Windows 10 machine over the past weekend and got everything I needed "on the spot" for a very fair price. Brought it home and everything worked fine. PC's and Parts has been around a long time in the same location. I'm confident they would support me if I had a problem.

After my old PC died and PC and Parts helped me with that, I decided to order a new build and ask these guys to assemble it for me. Based on the recommendations of the owner, Rod, and his employee, James, the astounding build quality of the PC once James finished with it, and the painless experience throughout, I'm giving these guys five stars. Quality work, great cable management, really reasonable price, hasty build, consistent updates, and checking with me before we had to adjust our plans for the build.

Good inventory, knowledgeable staff, fair price, I will be back again.

My only experience with this company was a complete headache and I will never use their "service" again. First, they had me pay for the service in advance, before even receiving it (come to find out later, the employee should not have done so). After a week, they finally "found" the part they needed. I took my computer back in so that they could install the part. I took my computer home and half the keys no longer worked. I took my computer BACK in, waited a half hour while they tried to fix it, then was told they would have to once again replace the part they'd just replaced and it would take another week to receive it. I made the horrendous mistake of allowing them to keep my computer during that next week, since it was unusable. They gave me a loaner. Once again, after the second week was up, I had to call them to remind them that they still had my computer and I desperately needed it back. The owner informed me that "somehow the lid got scratched while it was sitting in the basket here." I asked how that happened. He lamely said that metal computers can get scratched by having a charger rub up against them. That's BS anyway, but especially when the scratches are as significant as the ones on the lid of my computer. He told me that he'd "found a part on Ebay" to replace the scratched lid with, "but it looks dented". He refunded me the $65 service fee. That hardly made up for the complete hassle I went through with this company. Two weeks without the use of my daily-used computer and ultimately brought it back in worse shape than it went in. I will not return to this business and will be recommending that other people go elsewhere.
