Long wait times, staff doesn t care. I needed help looking up my insurance information and they just told me I needed to pay because healthcare isn t free. I came in for first aid and covid testing took higher priority so you can tell triage priorities are skewed. Wouldn t send my enemy here.

Dr Ulick has ridiculous policies and does not give out antibiotics unless you are on the verge of dying basically. He is also very rude and does not care to explain anything. Tells you nothing is wrong even though I ve been sick and getting worse over 3 weeks. Terrible
I got in very quickly. Staff was very nice and did everything with a smile. Also one of the only places open late on Sundays. The doctor was very sweet and caring, and calls many of his patients on the phone just to check in (definitely above and beyond).
Wait time is always ridiculously long. Doctor Chung (Cheng?) diagnosed me with a pneumonia and only gave me a Zpack to hopefully clear it up. Didn't give me a respiratory treatment, even though I told her I have been wheezing at night for the past 3 weeks. I just called to ask if I could get prescribed an inhaler or something to help me breathe and the woman on the phone told me I would need to come back in to see another doctor.
This place is not worth your time if you are actually sick and in need of medical help. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
The experience was much better than I had expected. First the wait time was not very long. The staff was amazing especially the attending physician. He was friendly, funny and overall had a great bedside manner. The staff at the front desk, very helpful and kind. Final thing, facility was very clean.
Had a great experience there - people are knowledgeable, nice, and respectful. Place is clean and well organized. Looks like a smooth operation with happy patients to me!
Best Urgent Care experience we have ever had. Everyone was so friendly and Dr Luna took his time with us and really listened. Reception gave a thorough explanation of payment and billing. Wait time expectations were reasonable and not as long as quoted. Love it! Triage nurse excellent and really knew how to put my 5-yr old at ease. This is definitely our new go to place when we are feeling our worst.
I have been there three times, first time I was seen by a Nurse practitioner who was great and took care of my problem and I recovered. Second time I went in with a pink eye, left with a pink eye, was given a useless prescription and after it got much much worse had to go to my optholmologist. total waste of time and money. Third time I had sinus infection and a bad cold, clearly in need of antibiotics, walked in gave my insurance card, the recept. told me they no longer accept my insurance, so I accepted on paying cash. I asked how much is the visit? She said "$120" if there would be no extra treatments at the office or procedures, like x-ray etc... I walk out with an antibiotic prescription and nothing else was done to me. In about a month I get a $175.00 bill. After phone calls and letters and sending proof that I have paid what I was told, still owe them $55 !!! Go figure. I am planning on filing a complaint against them misinforming the patients walking in. Very unprofessional.
Had me waiting for an 1:45 Min for a COVID-19 test and said there were 12 people in front of me. There were not 12 people out in the parking lot in cars waiting for the test. I watch them come out and test 3 time and then I walked the parking lot and there were no one in the parked vehicle with the exception of myself and 2 other people next to me. Then he comes out with 3 test in his one hand, which could be very costly mistake the have those in one to test us back to back. One simple mistake could have given each of us the wrong test results. I didn't like that at all.
First off, everyone was very nice here. They're super kind to you and answer any questions you have. I came here to get tested for covid yesterday. They open at 9 and I got there at 9:15. The line was already stretched all around the building. In the end, I waited in that line from 9:15 to around 4:00. It was about a 7 hour line. This is no fault of exer, I'm not blaming them. They were very kind. But I'm writing this review just to warn people to be prepared if they choose to come here for covid testing. Also, I have anthem blue cross with MediCal. They said they don't take my insurance, so I had to pay $170 for the nose swab test. All in all, the staff is lovely and accommodating, but the experience wasn't great (no fault to exer, just warning people).
Exer Urgent Care has been a life saver! They are very efficient, professional and FAST! They make a not so pleasant experience, tolerable. With their easy to use portal, I received my test results within 24 hours. Always a sigh of relief during these stressful times. Thank you Health Care Workers! Stay safe!!
The place was clean and my child was seen quickly. Staff was friendly. They communicated with our primary care physician who followed up with a telephone call the next morning. Much better than the other urgent care facility on Fair Oaks which I previously visited. Would have given 5 stars if there were more parking spaces. Love the reserved space for green vehicle.
I got tested for covid here. The people were really nice, and the process didn t take that long. The only thing is that i ve been waiting for more than a week for my results and still haven t heard anything. I called yesterday and was told that i d get a call back and no one called me back. I paid $170 out of pocket so it s really frustrating that I can t even get my results on time. Not to mention that I was told the results would come quicker since I was going to pay so much. This place is a scam do not come here.
My mom had went and she was waiting there with a BROKEN ARM for over 3 hours. They had her waiting there and the only thing they did was give her an ice pack until they called her. The ice pack was also ripped so it was dripping all over her pants. I recommend to not go here if you have anything broken.
I have used this facility 2X. Once for my daughter and once for myself. Both experiences were excellent. The staff was reasonably nice, the check in was efficient, the rooms were clean, large waiting area and good parking. The waiting time was under 30 mins (I was lucky and came during slow days/hrs). The doctor's diagnoses for both visits were accurate and they prescribed medicine without problem. Also, I was a "self" pay and both doctors took note; and performed only the necessary procedures (i.e. did NOT order necessary and expensive test etc. or follow up visits). I am told this clinic can get very busy. I don't remember the doctors names; but they were excellent.
They are very efficient and you get to see a doctor or pa quickly, everyone s so nice and helpful they cater to your needs and I am a very happy person. Thanks to Exer
I was grateful for the type of care I received. It was thorough and wasn't rushed. They listened to my issues and took all the steps they could to diagnose what was making me sick. It was a very positive experience.
Drove my friend here to get tested for covid, I was going to pay out of pocket ($170) but I declined soon after. My friend got tested instead, I told the staff that I no longer wanted to pay for the test, and she asked me if I was sure because we get results faster than most , she said. It has been about two weeks and my friend has yet to receive her results, she has called and they have nothing, no call backs either. I got tested at a local community testing site that also had a lot of people and got my results THREE days later. My friend paid a hefty amount and still nothing. The staff was friendly, but the it was the after process that truly disappointed the both of us. I hope my friend can get her results soon, otherwise this would have been a waste of a three hour wait and a $170 dollar payment.
Excellent care with a surprisingly short wait for a Sunday afternoon. A real plus was that everyone seemed happy to be working there. I would definitely recommend Exer and will be back if needed.
Worst experience. My 3 year old daughter waited for hours. Finally we left. They ignored us and had us sitting in patient room for over an hour and half. No one seen us. Finally we got fed up and left and nobody stopped us.
I'm very happy becouse the excellent service I receive, Everybody was nice and very helpful with all the questions i have. It take long time about 4 hours to complete the process but I understand the situation we had right now Thanks to everyone for doing an excellent job.
Was recently at an urgent care in Pasadena on Del Mar.This one is Exer Urgent Care. I was very please with the service from the staff. The wait was not long and they even gave me a little bottle of water. I needed attention right away and this was a great way to take care of it instead of trying to get a doctors appointment and not knowing when a doctor can see you.
After having a 1hr screening over the phone with my physician's office, and having the screening lead to questions to rule out the possibility of a stroke and dehydration, I was referred to this location.
I disclosed all my symptoms to the RN, and waited over two hours.
Once the physician was able to see me, all my symptoms (vertigo, dizziness, migraine, nausea, eye pressure) were dismissed and his response was "so, you're here today to just do the swab (COVID)?"
Today, I log into the system to see if my results are up and I notice so much information on my chart is wrong: - it stated I presented myself for a COVID exam - that I disclosed medical information I never had, so I don't even know why that was logged - my height was wrong - and they logged my weight as being 25lbs heavier - having the diagnosis of "overweight" skew the rest of my results (BMI, Physical exam)
The whole experience was not only dismissive but incredibly incompetent.
TL;DR if you're experiencing concerning issues, skip this place. Unless you just want a COVID test pushed on you and your concerns dismissed.
This place is so great! Very clean, courteous staff and Drs and super fast. I've never been there for more than an hour total. I'm a foster parent, and they accept Medi-Cal. I have to miss so much work for these little ones other appointments, having this place as an after hours resource when the babies get sick is just amazing! Wish our family PCP was like this!
PLEASE DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE, THEY OVERCHARGING FOR SIMPLE COLD VISIT EVEN WHEN YOU HAVE MEDICAL INSURANCE, THEY CHARGED ME $245.00 FOR SIMPLE COLD VISIT ON 02/25/20 AND THE DOCTOR GAVE ME ADVIL AND ONE ANTIBIOTIC, THIS PLACE DONT SERVICE THE COMMUNITY, THIS PLACE ABUSE THE COMMUNITY WITH THEIR SERVICE . I BEEN CALLING AND CALLING FOR REFUND MY MONEY BACK AND THEY TOLD ME SOMEBODY FROM THE BILL DEPARTMENT GOINT TO CALLING ME THAT WAS 15 DAYS AGO, I LEFT MY DEBIT CARD ON RECORD BIG MISTAKE BECAUSE THEY CHARGE ME WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION THEY DONT EVEN SEND ME A TXT LETTING ME KNOW ABOUT THE CHARGE, DEFINITELY I FELT ROBE FROM THIS PLACE. MY NEXT STEP IF THEY DONT CALL ME ITS SUMMIT A COMPLAINT WITH BBB EVEN WHEN THEY DONT REGISTER I REALLY MADE A BIG MISTAKE VISITED THIS PLACE.
Exer Urgent Care is an outstanding health facility should you require something less than an emergency health care. The entire staff is courtesy and everyone is very attentive to your health needs.
I have become a fan of Exer Urgent Care, especially after today. While I was waiting for my turn, I learned that the line wrapped around their building during the day. The center was open since 9 this morning, so the staff must be tired by 8 in the evening. Did they show that to their patients? No, they remained professional, warm, and dedicated. Big THANK YOU to them. The staff's bed manner was outstanding, so patient when answering my questions and providing detailed consultation. In the short 2 hours, I got consultation and completed the tests to determine the root cause of my symptoms. It saved me at least 2 hours for getting everything done under one roof instead of running around between the doctor and labs. Again, big thanks.
Wait time for Covid-19 testing was absolutely horrible! 4.5 Hours! I overheard quite a few people complaining about it to the staff, who simply shrugged it off and said it was out of their control. I observed the staff attend to people in an unorganized fashion at registration. When it was my turn to register, my experience was no different. I observed no communication between the staff, and would be repeatedly asked the same question by several different people. Upon paying for my test, I was given a credit card receipt with a different patient's name and I questioned whether they had charged the card correctly for the tight patient. This experience was a total lesson in unorganized chaos!!!
The staff is very rude and wasted many people's time by not telling them if their insurance was covered. There were so many people waiting for hours to get covid testing but the incompetent staff didn't check everyone's insurance first so they had to tell people they couldn't get tested without paying over $100 out of pocket. The FIRST thing they should have done was check everyone's insurance before making them wait in line for 2 hours in the hot sun. Never go here again!
We were so impressed with the professionalism and effectiveness of the entire staff at Exer Urgent care. My son was diagnosed with a double ear infection and we were in and out of there in 20 minutes. We will definitely make this our go to urgent care facility!
This is a large facility that is well staff. Upon arrival the patient enters his name, date of birth and the reason for his visit at the kiosk. After a short wait the patient is called by a clerk at the front desk who verifies the sign in information. The patient returns to his seat and waits to be call to be examined by the doctor. During my visit the staff processed all my information after a short wait. There was a short wait to see the doctor. The facility has x-ray machines and laboratory on premises. The service was outstanding.
Very personable, Kind and Caring staff! I felt extremely comfortable even after I found out they were doing Coronavirus/Covid 19 testing, I freaked out but the Handsome Latin guy that first greeted me at the door eased my fears. They are a VERY PROFESSIONAL Staff.
Exer Urgent care was great. Had to get COVID-19 screen; the staff was friendly, professional, and as quick as they could possibly be. Had to wait in line for about an hour and half and then another 30minutes for the swab, but the experience was good. Thank you!
Bad experience with administration services. They said that first com first serve as how it supposed to be, but my dad name was put way behind those who have same purpose ( arrival at the facility was way behind my dad). Way to go? ??? . After first complaint, they said there were 2 cases ahead. Second complaint, my dad was taken care right away. What a service!!!! ;(((((. Totally disappointed for first time.
Arrived Friday @ around 4:00PM, was seen within 45 minutes by excellent clinicians. Dr. Karlyn was thorough and efficient, as were both nurses that I saw. Front end staff was also kind and professional. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for quality urgent care.
I appreciated being able to arrive without an appointment. The person working at the door was polite, working very hard and conscientiously. He managed my expectations, regarding the process and amount of time it would take, well. Everyone I interacted with was kind and compassionate. Thank you.
Your employees were carrying, compassion it, and kind. They were also knowledgeable and helped me navigate the website to get my results as quickly as possible. Well done training them.
I wasn't sure about going here, I have heard bad stories about an Urgent Care, but my daughters doctor could not get her in until late October, so I had no other choice. I would HIGHLY recommend this place, from the several phone calls I made, to the friendly faces at the front desk. Andrew helped us check in and was nothing but pleasant. If your wondering if you should choose this place I would. This was more of a Sport Physical and didn't require much, but the experience was AMAZING! thank you to the team, I would recommend this place to all.
The doctors, nurse practitioners and staff at this location were friendly, knowledgeable and got us through as quickly as possible. Thousand times better than some packed ER. Thank you for treating my daughter and I with respect and warmth.
I was very impressed with the service I received and especially awed by the attitude of every person I interacted with. There were so many people wanting to get tested for COVID along with patients needing care for other reasons, I can't imagine working in Urgent Care right now! As an RN, I know how stressful it can be when patients are impatient (pun not intended) and rude; I was incredibly impressed that the staff were so calm and the patient flow was so efficient. I was very sick and worried that I might be positive for COVID (my test came back negative though!) and both the RN and the MD caring for me were sincere and thorough. I felt very reassured when my RN stated that she was concerned about my symptoms and she advocated for me by having the MD come out and talk with/examine me. Both the MD and the RN were calm and reassuring the entire time I was with them. I was given good advice and my test results came within 24 hrs. Great experience, 10/10!
We've been here a half dozen times for various maladies. They are responsive and convenient but wait times can be long. Call first to find out if there are a lot of people waiting. The staff and professionals are all pretty good though and it is far better than going to the ER.
Avoid this place for Covid testing. Waited in line about 5 hours to get tested. It's been 6 days and still no word on the results. I've tried calling all day the past two days and no one answers. You're better off making an appt at an LA City testing site and actually getting your results the next day.
Don't answer phones waiting on my results, kind important you know to stop the spread. They wanna blame on the lab, hey get a new lab. Paid out pocket and I know people that got free ones that got results next day.
Always realistic expectations for your wait time. The staff is courteous, efficient, current with the use technology. However, if you have a long day ahead of you, get there long before the doors open (8:30). If you don't get there until 9:15, (or later) especially on a Saturday, you will easily have a hour and a half wait........and the doors will have only been open 15 minutes!!
I arrived at 9am promptly on a Saturday morning. I was the third patient to walk in. We all stood in a line since the electronic sign in wasn t working. When it was my turn to be checked in, the lady at the front desk told me curtly to wait , multiple times, even though I hadn t even walked up to the counter yet. Then she asked me to write my name down on a sticky note and said that I remember your face, you ll be helped next.
I stepped aside and she then proceeded to go through the entire check in process with the guy behind me. I brushed it off, thinking maybe there s a reason she blatantly pushed me back to help this other guy. 10 minutes pass, a family walks in, and she has them write their name down on a paper. Some more time passes, she finishes checking in the guy, and she calls the family s name to check them in. Confused, I stand up and ask I think I m next? The name you wrote down on the sticky note? She dismisses me, there s people before you hun, sit down and goes through the entire check in process with the family. I thought I was going crazy until the original guy who was behind me, now already checked in and being called in by a nurse, turns to me and says I m on your side with that one... I don t know why I went before you, you got here first. I waited for another 10-20 minutes until the other person checking people in was available to help me. If he wasn t there to check me in, I don t know how much longer I would ve waited. I asked him if there was a reason I was pushed back in line several times and he just told me he was also confused by what happened and apologized to me.
The condescending and patronizing the lady took in her interactions with me infuriated me. I couldn t understand why people who were obviously behind me were attended to before me, especially since none of us had injuries that warranted expedited attention. I sat there for 30-45 minutes watching these people behind me in line go in front of me. It couldn t have been confusion, as the place wasn t busy or chaotic, and she very obviously took note of my presence. It was utterly disrespectful. I don t want to assume this interaction was racist, but I was the only Asian individual while everyone else was white. Racism is the only explanation I can think of, and if that really was the case, this is unacceptable for any facility providing medical care.
Despite the fact that everyone else I interacted with was lovely, attentive, and helpful, I still left the place with a bad taste in my mouth.
I have had only the best experiences at Exer. I have now been to 2 locations and have been treated quickly and thoroughly, and very kindly by all of the staff people. Most recently, I was most recently treated in Pasadena and everyone was very helpful and thorough. My past experiences have been in Sherman Oaks, all of which have great experiences.
Hello everyone this is the place to go I just got off the phone with Sandra what a delight and they take my Medicare and my part B which is my Sag Aftra secondary insurance plan their hours are remarkable they re open seven days a week and with all the senior citizens of screen actors Guild AFTRA producers Health plan losing their guaranteed coverageWhich was for life especially in this time of being required to have a COVID-19 test every time you go to a surgical procedure see a doctor this is the company to go to and Sandra went so far as to say because you live in La tuna Canyon and we are in Pasadena we having one in Lacanada witch is Even closer, she gave me the phone number and address so I didn t have to Google anymore so I m going to ask you to go to this facility do not go to the EXTRA urgent cares because if they don t take your insurance for your secondary insurance and they charge $175 for a Covid test because they say they except Medicare but not all of it Which means they want some cash in hand which is not the policy of Medicare if you except Medicare you accept Medicare you don t get to pick and choose anyway I m going to send these people love and blessings that I m asking you not to go to and I m gonna say listen to my heart and I ask God for help and he said keep looking and I got sent to this wonderful company I am so blessed today by Miss Sandra a fabulous miracle and a new friend who has my love forever with what life is all about loving people making their lives easier and the days of the depression era which was called fleecing the Marke or, they need the services make them pay standards and practices says of some companies who by the very rules violate the doctors they have hired their Hippocratic oath, God bless all who love people animals in our activist for justice and give praise Without being asked for it, this Company has mine, thank you God, amen
Absolutely fantastic! I loved how streamlined & easy the process was. Incredibly convenient to be able to see a doctor & have a prescription called in without having to leave my couch. Very professional, polite, and friendly staff, as well. Thank you!
EXCELLENCE!! for after hours care , VERY clean office Dr. 's listen and take there time with you ... a lot of other urgent care offices in Pasadena can learn from EXER ....
I used to go to their Calabasas location when I lived there ... and was thrilled they opened here...I love this Urgent care! I have been twice, and the doctors are all Huntington hospital emergency room doctors without the ridiculous hospital prices. You won t regret trying them...
They can do so much more than any urgent care... I don t get why they have 3 stars most of the reviews look fake to me, with weird fake names...
Exer Urgent Care was the perfect place to go for sutures when I cut my index finger with the garden shears! I was treated promptly by a friendly, knowledgeable doctor and nurse, given after care instructions and sent home with an appointment for a return visit to have my stitches removed in a week. I'm very pleased with the care I received!
Excellent service, clean and comfortable facility. Staff was awesome and Doctor was caring and excellent. Wait time was the only thing I would improve on.
I have been calling for the last 90 minutes and no one has answered the phone. I need to know results from my daughter's xray but no one will answer to help me.
The experience was fine when it came to having the personnel attend you, the only problem I had was that there were a few mishaps with my information such as my birthday being incorrect when I received the payment confirmation back. Also when you look it up on google it s a free testing center but when I got there I was told that I had to pay for the test. Other than that they had pretty good service.
