Dr Chynn is clearly very experienced and competent, and does a very good job. We appreciated that he was in a whatsapp group with us post procedure and was available to answer questions, even on weekend evenings.

Park Avenue LASEK is the only vision correction center I would trust my eyes to, and I am so glad I did. With correction (glasses or contacts), I was only able to see 20/35. Hi, my name is Harriet and I am a dog groomer. I came in to Park Avenue Lasek a few weeks ago to see if I'm a candidate. I came in prepared for the worst because of some of the 1 star reviews I read. When I came in, I was greeted warmly by the staff and I found Dr Chynn to be very informative. The best part of the experience was the dog. I work with all kinds of dogs in my line of work and I thought Tolstoy was the most well behaved good boy. He didn't bark and mostly just laid there on the couch, he wasn't wild at all. I was concerned that the operating room might be dirty because of this but that's not the case at all. The OR is separated by doors and is very clean inside. In some ways, Tolstoy is a therapy dog meant to make people feel more comfortable. Anyway, I had a great experience at Park Avenue Lasek and I'll be getting my surgery in May.
Dr Chynn and the Park Avenue LASEK staff have to be easily the best trained out there in this line of work. I know, because before I had my LASEK, I was desperate to find a solution to getting rid of contacts and glasses that didn't involve cutting from LASIK or pain and scarring from PRK. Before getting Lasek surgery, I was seeing 20/200, and hating every second of glasses and contacts. Then, I heard about Lasek. I went for a consultation and almost chickened out when I realized I would be awake during the surgery, but Dr. Chynn s incredible staff were so encouraging every step of the way, and I went for it. Not only was the surgery nothing to worry about (seriously, don t let that stop you), I m now seeing 20/15! I did have a bit of a hard time getting back to work that first week, but the staff was available 24/7 to answer my countless annoying questions. My mom did lasek the most expensive one. I think 6k. It was 4 years ago, her eyes was with tears after suregery. They told its ok. But now after 4 years it became worst. After surgery, Georgian guy, forgot his name, did smth to block tears, in check up. It came up worst !!!!! Please be careful from this clinic. They just love show off, talk too much and love love love money !!!!

Park Avenue Lasek is the place to go for experience and care in regards to what is best for your eyes and vision.
The step by step processs before surgery is laid out before you and pretty straight forward. The surgery takes a very short while and was pain free.
The recovery part is also straight forward. Administrating the medicinal drops when instructed and rest for a good three to four days was a breeze.
We can back for the follow up appointments and was happy to find out that my vision went from 20/100-80 to an initial and stable 20/15.
Overall I would recommend Park Avenue Lasek.

Amazed! Today was my pre-screening for Lasek. Prior to my visit, I had a phone consultation. Not only did Dr. Chynn take his time explaining throughly any and all concerns, but I was also connected with their IT who recently had his surgery and took me thru steps A-Z as I was extremely nervous going forth with surgery. I have been to Dr. Chynn several years ago to do Lasek. I had great experience. The doctor and his staff is prompt, to the point, and the office is clean. This year I came to check if I need any additional procedures. But I was assured that all is well. The office won t recommend something that is unnecessary. This is a good sign for me.
Recovery for the first month was foggy but with great advice from Dr Chynn s staff I m seeing perfectly now. Great investment! Just take the time and do it and you won t regret!
I am very thankful that Dr. Chynn and his staff were understanding of me having to cancel my surgery appointment a few days prior to the operation. I had made the appointment on a Saturday for that following Friday, and after not being able to accommodate time off for recovery, due to my work/client demands, I called in on that Tuesday to cancel. I had already paid the full price of the surgery and so I was very worried about forfeiting most of what I paid, as in the consent contract, it states that cancelling within a few days has a hefty penalty. Thankfully they returned most of my payment, keeping a $400 non refundable fee (wasn't too happy with there being this fee but I understand there has to be some charge for the pre-op exams and holding my appointment).
I found it cool that they create a WhatsApp group to give the patient access to Dr. Chynn and the rest of the staff, for any questions and concerns leading up to the surgery and post-surgery. Dr. D, who created the group for me, was very sweet during the pre-op exams. I also want to give a shout out to Jack and Sam for their clarifications of the packages and recommendations on what is best given my needs.

I got my left eye procedure at Park Avenue Lasek, this procedure is non cutting so I was glad that they didn t have to cut my eye. Dr. Chynn, owner and surgeon, invented this non cutting procedure. He is a graduate of Harvard! He is quite known, he has been on CBS, CNN, and the New York Times. He provided one on one care and explained everything I needed to know, as busy as he is. He made me feel important and gave me individual care.

I found Dr. Chynn after diagnosed with KC. After thoroughly checking my eyes he determined that Cross Linking only would suffice for correcting my diagnosis as well as bettering my vision. One month after the procedure I am seeing better than ever. Dr. Chynn and his team not only accepted my insurance but they were available for any questions I had at anytime through out the process. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a qualified ophthalmologist.
I ve had an almost blind eye in my right from childhood trauma and it was going out. I never had a proper diagnosis. Dr Chynn was kind enough to see me at cost ($100) than charge me the regular fee ($300) be I made a mistake on my brand of insurance. He and his junior associate both saw me & gave me a correct diagnosis. Then referred me to personally a top pediatric eye surgeon to straighten my eye, who accepts my medical insurance. Really he made no $ on this visit & spent an hour with me. So anyone who says he s not a good guy is wrong. I m pleasantly surprised I ve had no pain both during the surgery and recovery. Definitely one of the best investments I ve ever made! I ve worn glasses most of my life with a high prescription. I got tired of buying new glasses every few years. It was adding up to be pretty expensive. So, I figured this would be a better decision in the long term. I m already able to get along without them. I m still in the recovery phase and very excited to see the final results over time.
LASEK is a newer, safer, non-cutting version of LASEK that I felt more comfortable with when searching for the best way to correct my vision. The office shared that Dr. Chynn helped invent LASEK and has performed more LASEKs than any other surgeon in the UsS (another reason I felt comfortable). Dr Chynn is a god send for me he was able to save my eye from a severe complication caused by another Dr after I got a cutting, lasik procedure. I had corneal melt caused by error of the other Dr. I thought there was no how to fix my vision but Dr. Chynn was able to save my vision.

I was honestly looking forward to meet with Dr. Chynn about LASEK but my experience with a rude an unprofessional receptionist made me reconsider.
When I called the office to cancel my appointment because I wished to schedule a time later in the year, the receptionist was very aggressive and pushy, like a used car salesmen, to get me scheduled DURING OUR CALL. I had to argue with him since I did not want the conversation to drag on longer than needed and when this was finally clear to him, he abruptly goes 'ok' and hangs up. I was not sure if I had heard him correctly so when I called back to confirm the cancellation, he blamed a bad connection for the call disconnect -- had the most uncomfortable and unprofessional experience with the receptionist.

I just did LASEK eye surgery last week and the difference in vision is already astonishing, I was a little nervous at first because I had never even had contacts I had glasses nearly my whole life, but Dr. Chynn and and his staff were very diligent and detailed in both explaining and performing the procedure, I even got an opportunity beforehand the see it done which made me feel much more accommodated, really awesome place!

I've gotten my surgery almost three weeks ago. Some of the best money I've ever spent, hands down! I got myself LASEK HD which turned my world into a high definition experience!
