Amazing place. Perfect for family visit. One negative thing: HUGE lineups in the morning on entrance. They have 15 entrance gates, but only 7 or 8 are open. Better to arrive after 11am.
But as soon as you are in - everything is perfect!

Amazing! Quite a large park, hard to view everything in one day!

Arrive early! Plan about 1 1/2 hours for the drive through safari if you want to take your time and really enjoy each section. We purchased 5 boxes of pellets (they are large pellets) and we ran out right at the end. We had 4 of us feeding the animals though. We brought cucumbers with us, you can bring lettuce, celery or cucumbers to feed them. No carrots are allowed. They are $2.50 a box and if you have some left over from the drive through safari you can feed the deer invade the park or the giraffes!

It's great for the kids to see animals up close and personal. For me it's way to expensive. I understand that they have to make enough to feed the animals and also pay staff and have some for up keep of the place. It's gotten ridiculous, for 4 out of that 4 are 2 kids one 5 years and the other 1 year for us it was at least almost three hundred dollars.

Very pleasant animal park. The safari drive, the deer trail, the footbridge and during hot weather, the pools and slides. All very pleasant! And an incredible amount of picnic tables!

The waiting time at the entrance is completely unreasonable (when tickets are already purchased online). It took us at least 40 minutes. It looked like validating the ticket took 10 minutes by car ....

What fun from start to finish. We had a great day with the family to celebrate the 3 years of my son who is an animal lover. He loved the Safari in the car. Then, we did part of the animal trail including the feline tunnel. On a heatwave day, it gets a little hot there and with the mandatory wearing of a mask here, it is a little painful, but my son still liked his experience. We took the water park at the end of the day (3:30 p.m., new rules with COVID-19) and it was perfect to quench our thirst before leaving. We really had a super nice day.

Beautiful day! By cons there are not many animals in the feel of camel there are more rides inflatable games instead and I think it's not worth the river tube plus an extra $ 2 by people. The wave pool is not designed for young kids I did not really like it!

Beautiful large safari-style zoo. Wonderful drive-thru portion where you get to be up close and personal with the animals. Zookeepers circulate to make sure the animals stay off the road so you don't get stuck.
Once you're through the driving portion, explore the rest of the what the zoo has to offer. They have a great little water park for young and old and a fun lazy river that ends in a slide.
What stood out for me was that the animals don't look miserable as they do at other zoos, and that makes a huge difference in the overall experience.

We have visited Parc Safari, with grandchildren, many times over the last 15 years and have always loved the experience. Yesterday's visit was a huge disappointment. The highlight of past visits has always been the drive through the park. This time we saw very few animals and the ponds that the animals were swimming in and drinking from were covered in thick green algae. This will be our last trip.

We liked the place even in times of covid. On the other hand, note that we did not see any elephants. The journey by car was worth it and we laughed to see a camel trying to bite the rearview mirror of the car ahead.

Disappointed with my experience. To have been dozens of times when I was younger, the quality of service and cleanliness in the restorations areas, are neglected, and it is obvious and there are fewer animals than before ... If you want to live a superior experience I advise you the Granby Zoo, international and impressive tourist attraction ...

Very beautiful park, I went there at the end of the season, there was less traffic than in high season. Animals are easily accessible, the car safari is a lot of fun. Most water games were closed on this date, but there is so much to see!

Love this place!

Love this place!
We bought the season passports and plan on going back frequently.
The ride through goes by pretty fast, but inside the park is gigantic!
The deer area is beautiful and they come right up to you. (If you have food) They'll even allow you to pet them.

That was the most horrible experience in my entire life! We left Ottawa and drove almost 3 hours to attend the Safari. I had 2 babies one is 6 months old. We had a prepaid ticket and we have been waiting just 2 hrs to.get in. We thought More

Go to Parc Omega! Obvious lack of maintenance. Dirty and old plexiglass, so it is difficult to see, poorly maintained toilet, atrociously poorly maintained mini golf, doors for access to animals from the continents in the wrong direction which makes it not very stroller friendly and we get along that one person on two has a stroller. Flower and dry grass. Even the new wave pool, new from this year looks like it's 20 years old ...

A nice place to see once or twice. A little less organized than other parks, also much of the water features (lazy river, slides) were still under construction. Many inflatables were not attended by staff. Positives are that it's really relaxed and staff are very friendly. Lots of good play structures and good food options available everywhere, even a good selection of beer. Safari ride was excellent, we did by car first, but the truck was way better - the only way to see it IMO. Was nice to be able to do/see all of the park in under a day, leaves enough time to relax and let the kids just play. We spent a second day just revisiting our favorite parts.

I really enjoyed my experience. By account after 2 hours of driving and 1 hour 10 minutes waiting for the park to open we wanted ice cream or something refreshing and no business was ready or open at 10 a.m. In addition I was disappointed because I wanted to see the lions arriving at 10am but it wasn't out yet .. maybe everything should be ready and open before the doors open it will make the experience even better!
For the safari it was super pleasant the animals very sociable.

DO NOT FEED THE ANIMALS CARROTS!!!!

DO NOT FEED THE ANIMALS CARROTS!!!!

Very disappointing experience, there is absolutely not enough supervision for the animals to be properly treated by the thousands of inconsiderate visitors!

After arriving we went to the drive thru part...an experience in patience! Nobody reads the signs or follows the rules. Observe on the right, drive on the left, and NO CARROTS!! (I noticed numerous reviewers reminding people to bring carrots, clearly those people should not even be permitted to return to the zoo! There are signs everywhere!). It's a free for all, and at least 50% of the cars where giving the animals carrots. Zoo keepers doing nothing, no control on anything. they are more concerned about pushing the animals along and off the road then they are about their well being! After what could have been a peaceful drive with my son but instead turned into frustratingly waiting for inconsiderate people to finally move out of the way, I got to the front of the pack and was able to move my vehicle to the right and enjoy a few of the animals.

After the drive we went to the walk area, park is very badly laid out, it's obvious they have just kept adding with any planning, bad layout and no fluidity to the park, although the grounds where well kept. Went to the second feeding area, the rain-dear section, another area where no supervision and incompetent parents ruled the area, kids harassing the rain-dear far into the forest even thought it's clearly marked to stay on the path. Feeding them carrots with the park staff 2 feet away. Leaving that section there is a smaller petting zoo type area where every enclosure is clearly marked not to feed the animals, I saw people offering the animals crackers, chips, more carrots and anything else they had lying around. Also observed one family taunting a bird that has a clear warning about biting, (parents including).

Overall this is a great idea gone horribly wrong, the animals are at the mercy of the visitors, who have no regard for their safety or well being! Staff must be more vigilant and has the responsibility to remove offending visitors, but clearly do not.

I very much enjoy zoo's and have nothing against animals in captivity, but this is one place that I will never return to, find any other zoo where the animals are treated with the respect and dignity they deserve, and not like slaves imprisoned for our own enjoyment.

You can walk alot. There was a lot of different paths to take to go around to see the animals. I suggest doing the guided Safari at the end of the day. You may get lucky, and get a lot more time seing the animals. Bring lettuce, and green vegetables you'll save some money. Instead of buying the food from over there.

Pleasant in general, but comparing to other zoo I have visited I found that the animals are far away. Too many people in summer! On the other hand the water games were very good with the children.

Little feed the animals in the adventure safari and must have the windows closed, few animals in the safari park and for the pool activities $$$$ extra and still the same price as usual ... Very disappointed with my day with family. Especially nobody respects the 2 meters distance. He just lost a faithful family of the safari park.

We haven't really had a good day, there are a lot of animals missing, there are lots of empty cages and sections to close. The water in the water features is not heated. The water games are separated into three sections which each cost $ 5.
Grass a pou want you there are plains. I don't understand how they can leave fields so full and not take them out. I just couldn't believe the quantity. The grass in the picnic areas was long and the flower beds are poorly maintained. In short, really too expensive for the can of animals. I almost forgot the toilets are really dirty dirty and not maintained.

This park lacks a lot of love and care. Charging for activities when we are already paying the entrance, it does not give the taste to return ... Go to Granby Zoo for a better experience!

Here is the description of the day.

Here is the description of the day.
With a little under 2 years old I did not experience swimming. My opinion is only going to be on the animal section.

To make the difference between the Granby Zoo and another animal attraction, I opted to test the Safari Park, but to go big.

Lunch Lions and Safari Expeditions, the two new attractions of the park.

The lions' lunch. When booking online, the activity indicates that it starts at 9:00 AM. Rendered on the site it is indicated 9h30 and the activity began around 9h50 to finish at 10:15. The walk is "long" to get to the lion since everyone stops to see the other animals which reduces the pace of the group. We arrived at the tunnel of the cats, they began to deposit the food of the lions. Is everything done last minute, I can not say. With such a long wait and being told at the entrance that the activity lasts 1 hour ... I expected a better organization. The sound in the tunnel to hear the zoologists were not of high quality. All relevant information about lions ... people did not understand them. For a group of more than 100 people, the tunnels are too small to allow the entire group to be in the tunnel at the same time. The capacity has not been taken into account with strollers or other for children. People are pushing to take pictures without even considering the young children circulating. I could not wait to get my daughter out of there.

We were then on the farm of the five continents. The trail of fallow deer is incredible !! IMPORTANT to have lettuce, celery or cucumber !!!! Bring yourself full of vegetables for the safari expedition!

IF I had returned either to Granby Zoo or Safari Park ... My choice is for the Granby Zoo. The newest infrastructure, more animal diversity and more toilet available as well as water points. However, nothing removes the charm of the proximity to the safari park with the animals. Improvements will be made in the coming years. Who knows if in 2021 my assessment will be changed.
