Beautiful day despite the inconveniences of the Covid.
A very nice experience ... but at the beginning they do not give you a lot of information about how it works and all that, so we lost time to visit the giraffes ... also the animals do not eat anything the food just box of fruits and vegetables (A good thing for them of course) but it was the first time we went and we did not know anything ... after the restaurant had plenty of flies and no air conditioning
Great experience with family today. So much to do but got almost everything in. Walked through the feline's tunnels, over the monkey walkway, around the five continents animal farm, feed the deer on the trail, had some lunch and then took a dip in the Mombassa wading pool. Whew! Then took a ride around the safari to see & feed alot of different animals finishing with a walk out on the Afrika Terrace. We missed a couple of areas due time limitations or closures because of construction. Younger staff working here that maybe not always the most friendly but at least present when you need them. My advice - come as early as you can, bring lots of veggies (lettuce, apples, bananas) and bring some cash.
Loved this place this summer. It was sad to see some of the animals suffering because of the high temperatures though and I would've expected for the park to be closed on days like that, but they were open. Beautiful animals and nice pools for the kids too.
Had a great time with the kids! Lots of animals and fun water park!
Great staff
great destination for families and kids in the summer. the driving through trail for the animals, the water parc, the play ground for the kids, great. all the staff are really nice too.
The children have a-do-res !!!!!! In our opinion better than Granby ...
More than 1 hour waiting to enter, pool under repair ... Good variety of activity for children!
Amazing place to spend the day with the family. Kids loved the animals, the water park & the play area. Wish the parking lots were a bit bigger though...
My son's favorite zoo. Not far away from Vermont. But stupid traffic jam in the entrance.
The site is big, we walk a lot and it lacks toilets and drinkers!
So many activities to do, it's great for the family!
It's okay okay. Not too many animals as expected but enough new animals to know about. This parc is close to USA (New York) border and visitors from both countries can be seen. You can take your own car for the safari or can rent a tall truck with open standing space in the trailer. They charge around $17 CADs extra for this truck. They have a zoo also where visitors can walk and look. A water parc to swim and relax. People can carry some food to feed the animals while doing the safari. You can carry your Barbeque, food, drinks and can have some fun. Carry a good camera to capture the exciting moments when animals come close.
nice place at the border, guess its better to come during the summer
Really disapointed .. did 3:30 min driving for that..the only thing i liked was the kids show everything was old .. $$$ expensive for a small park they were not worth it
This is not what we are shown on TV. 3 lions scattered at the entrance, a few small macaques 3 sleeping giraffes and a few ducks and pink flamingos. I'm on it even my daughter was wondering the real park that we watch on TV. Waste of money, even the biodome is much more interesting than a safari park.
Excellent plan for the whole family, I will definitely return.
Nice and clean park.
Staff is very nice.
Loved it
Thanks for standing up for what makes this country an amazing place to live in! You truly exemplify what it means to be Canadian.
I wish all animals was to be visited until last hour or at least to make it clear on the brochure
A beautiful place! Unfortunately half of the pools and water games were in maintenance so a bit of a shame to pay full price when in the end we can not make the most of the new facilities! Otherwise the water is very very cold for toddlers if compared to the Granby Zoo! But basically these a place to see..1 times a year ..!
It's a nice place to spend a day. The animals look happy and avour of the placr. The facilities are nice. It's a nice activity for the family (I guess). The car part remains the best in my eyes. It was really cool to see the animals pass between cars and eat in our hands. Be careful not to bring carrots. By cons take salad, it looks they like that much! I would not go back every year but I really recommend going there it's nice.
To go there in the morning since all the animals are sleeping in the shade in the afternoon during the hot day. Excellent variety of animals. Small car ride that you can be in contact with animals but I suggest to bring salad !! In all, all beauty and a beautiful experience.
A lot of fun with my family. The car trip allowed us to see very closely and even touch several animals.
I enjoyed my day at Safari Park. We did the safari expedition (the ride in army truck), it was well worth the $ 20 per person, even though we had a similar ride in our car in the morning. We particularly liked the comments of our guide who informed us about the different species, their particularity and the characteristics of the individuals. Only downside, we had forgotten our bottle and there was no fountain. So to hydrate it was absolutely necessary to buy bottles of water, not very green and especially not very cool for the customers ..
It's over rated not much to see for the price.
Animals dont look well treated.
Nice park to go woth you family, eapecially with kids to show them beautiful animals. You can go with you car and feed some animals. There is another section where you can find lions, bears, monkeys too. Besides, there is a three water parks that you can enjoy with your family!
Tropical section still under construction and despite we were already notified since it was written on their website, they each offered us a free ticket to come back enjoy the new facilities later this year. And without that I ask or that I grasp
Great experience on feeding -interacting with animals, animals are in a more open environment, you can bring the recommended food to feed the animals or you can buy at the place, place is great for a family experience, good for kids, you can bring your own food for picnic or you can buy from the restaurants inside, prices were reasonable, there is an aquatic park so kids can enjoy the water games and pools, there s a pool with waves, a big free parking lot, boutiques, a fair type game zone, there are shows for kids, recommended place
Nice mixed water park and zoo with safari ride (your own car or tall military trucks), ride is 40 mins and you can see 5 or 6 main types of animals. Water park has infants pool and adults pools with waves, right now some attractions under renovation, if you buy online they will give you free tickets to come back, if you buy at the door they won t.
In my memories the park was wonderful but it is not the reality the animals are pitier, My 3 children were extremely disappointed not to be able to bathe with the oppressive heat and when we returned there another time the park was a full capacity there should have been a limit! Not to mention the flies on my fries in restaurants, 1-2 flies it's okay but it was TOO there were EVERYWHERE on our food
The renos not yet finished so full of things that are not open
Great place for a day out with family and specially for the kids.
Disappointed and expensive especially when they do not notice that some facilities do not work and you pay the big price near 180 for the car ... will not go back ... swimming pool does not taste like bathing.
In my opinion i thought it would be a bit better. The car lines were crazy long and the animals were not really interested. I would highly reccomend if you go to bring your own food such as lettuce, carrots, greens. The food they sell is pellet form and the animals will stick their noses up at it and search out the good cars. Go in the morning by the early afternoon the animals are all in the shade hanging out.
Good luck
Average .... it's expensive for what there was :( not even 1 hour of market to go around and several things that were closed ... very disappointed with my visit
We really enjoyed this park. It has a bunch of exotic animals and is a good walk. Highly recommended.
Great park with many activities for the whole family. We went for the first time and it was a lot of fun. I think it is amazing how you have so many activities in the same place and also they have tables for picnic if you want to sit and enjoy a barbecue or meal with your family. The animals are in good condition. We didn't try the water park, but maybe for a next visit. We went to the Adventure Safari, but many animals were hiding because of the sun and the ones that came close to the car didn't want to eat the food you buy at the entrance (they must be tired of it hahah), so my advice is for you to take lettuce, green leaves (don't give them carrots, they get sick). The lions and tiger were active. We also went to the playground with bouncy castles (it was kind empty, cause people were enjoying more the water park). I didn't give 5 stars, because we spent 1:30h just at the entrance, there was a huge line of cars and it was not organized (They should have a line just for people already with tickets, cause I could see families buying them from the car). So more organization at the entrance would be great, but in general great place for the family!
this year we tried their expedition safari instead of taking our car. . I saw advantages and disadvantages. the most are we walk among the giraffes and the rhinoceros. We leave the road which allows us to see certain animals which are not used to approaching our cars, the guide explains certain things to us and is very kind. And we avoid small traffic jams since it occasionally goes off the road. The disadvantages are: since the truck is high, other than the ostrich and the camels, we cannot feed the animals. The rare times that we see an animal that we can feed quietly approach us. 'there was a traffic jam so we went back with our 4 full food boxes. So disadvantage too high to feed the animals and since we alone are the mothers of our children. We alone will wait several minutes to successfully attract the animal that our child was so eager to feed. Good at least we did not return the hands full of drool.
Super nice place, full of restaurants and the world is very smiling
Wait 1 hour in the lobby because they are having difficulty with their boxes .. not strong for such a large seat. A bad start to a day.
I liked my day :) but I find it lacks shade and trees for some animals it's hot for them too :(
I loved being closer to the animals, touching them.
Very disappointed with our experience too expensive for what you do with it especially with children and games
Amazing experience, especially for the kids, that was the first time my kids see Animals without a barrier they were so happy and so excited... a Safari near town ... the aqua parc is fine and kids can enjoy it if they are not that old or tall !
There is a lot of waiting at the entrance but the park is magnificent, with the car safari which is quite unusual and water games, river to be buoy, "beach", tunnels to see the wild beasts. In short, a great experience!
Love this place. Some parts are a little dingy, but we go 2-3 times a summer to feed the animals
What a great experience between friends and the whole family!
Very pleasant safari auto beautiful variety of animals
New instructions for not opening the windows and not feeding the animals as before, understandable given the situation but still disappointing we did not live the safari experience as before .... for $ 100 for two people I did not 'impression of having had my money's worth, Animals were missing in the park, no elephants (are in their indoor enclosures out of sight) the employee told me that it happens once a week .. no indication on the site ?! How do you know in advance what day to come to see all the animals ..?! no rhinoceros he's preparing a sound enclosure elsewhere why open up if you're not ready ?! Bird garden: total of 5 birds .. deer park closed .. no variety, water park some closed I think the Granby zoo is much better .. I will not go back ..
I used to love this park, but it really has gone downhill and I'm certain it has a lot to do with the park visitors. They have had to put extra safety precautions for the really good animals (because people get out of their cars after being told NOT to). It felt like I paid $100 to be stuck in a traffic jam. The most entertaining thing was watching Canadians get out of their car and hoping a wild animal will attack them. Can't say I'll be back, which is a shame. This used to be a premier attraction.
A little too much for children if you want to go on a romantic outing without children it's not the best, the car safari is very very long and unattractive.
Very disappointed, I called the day before to book for the safari with the jeep and the zoologist, group of 10 people. They told me who took any bookings to be presented at the information booth and ask for the departure times, which have 6 departures per day for the safari and who still have some. Square. I'm part of 7 islands, we hear that it's 15h drive. To arrive on the spot, at the opening, it is. Makes saying that it will not be possible to go on a safari today because they have a group of 400 people who have to book for the day ... Strangely there were no buses in the parking lot ... The lady at the information booth said, come back a little longer in the day he should have cancellations. During the day, we were 4 times at the information booth to check if there are cancellations, the lady never look in her computer to see if there, each time she told us ..... No no cancellations, in a rather silly tone as if we had disturbed and we were tiring ... I would have liked to have this information there the day before we left, as I would not have made a road to nothing .....
Extremely disappointing. Expensive for one for what there is. The drive through "safari" had no animals. I remember going as a kid and seeing a ton of animals that would all come to the car. Now there's barely anything and they're all far away. Instead you have to pay another 10 bucks to hop on another vehicle driven by employees to get close to the animals. I guess they figured they could make more money by charging you more on top of the ridiculous ticket price. Even walking through the park there isn't much to see.
Won't be going back. Want a better zoo experience? Go to Granby Zoo.
Zoo that can be visited on foot and by car. Many activities available within the park (water games, inflatable games, children's modules, swimming pool, wave pool, paddling pool ... And a mini village to eat, have a coffee, enjoy ice creams. Lots of family endings even for young and very young children.
Very few indications to end up, dirty toilets, inflated games pierced and no surveillance, very old-fashioned, uncomfortable pool chairs, several animals are in small enclosures
Worse experience at the zoo almost no animals on safari adventure and the guards pushed them away from cars then even fewer animals. The state of the state ball pool and the zoo is rebuilding so it is not at its best
Despite having to close a number of exhibits, there were still lots of animals to see. My favourite were the meerkats. I haven't come across them at other zoos/aquariums before.
Nice place to go but it's very expensive, closes early and a huge part of the place was closed for construction.
Dinner Experience and Truck Tour for Halloween! Very cool!
Great experience with my son and his family. Need more trees for the animals
