Great day; beautiful view and super funny and pro guide! tnx
Excellent service! Excellent tour guide! Dominic the tour guide was excellent. Tour was excellent value.
Downside, no toilets on bus, however Dominic made sure the bus stopped every two hours.
Excellent and enjoyable day trip. Our guide cum bus driver John was quite good.
The buses were ok. The "tour guide" is just a glorified bus driver. He mostly just drove us out and back and didn't say a whole lot. Every now and then he'd briefly point out something of interest. All of our stops were quick and mostly to snap a quick photo use the toliets and hop back on. I would highly suggest bringing your own packed lunch as the lines for food at the lunch stop were very very long (all the paddywagon buses heading the same way stop at the same place same time.)
However its not a terrible price and the cliffs were beautiful.
Such an amazing tour. We did the overnight (2 day Blarney, Cliffs of Moher with 1 night in Cork). The drivers all took exceptional care of us especially me, as I was not feeling well on day 1. We enjoyed the stops along the way to Blarney and got to kiss the blarney stone! The scenery/ countryside is so enjoyable. The buses had wifi and were super comfy. They told us exactly what the plan was for each day and gave lots of history lessons to us as they drove. Very enjoyable experience to say the least! Day 2 we enjoyed many stops and had a beautiful day / view at the Cliffs of Moher. Truly stunning. Then lunch in Doolin and another stop at Bunratty castle. I'm sure I'm forgetting other stops, but I just loved the whole experience and can't thank the many drivers for their kindness, good humor and getting us to/from safely. I will definitely do Paddywagon again (a longer tour as there is more to see so I need to come back !).. I LOVE IRELAND! THANK YOU FOR MAKING MY FIRST VISIT SO AMAZING!!!! Lisa Alley, Seattle, WA
Excellent tour to the Giants Causeway yesterday with Val. Very knowledgeable and funny. Timings worked well especially when everyone came back around the time Val specified. We walked the bridge !! A must !
Just returned from Ireland and wanted to recommend Paddywagon Tours 2 day trip to Cork, which includes Blarney Castle and Cliffs of Moher. Wonderful way to see all the sights, and the tour guides were excellent!
The driver / guide was very good and kind! Well organized tour! Too bad for the fog! Nothing could be seen at the cliffs of moher! :(
Our full-day trip to the Cliffs of Moher was excellent, with well-planned stops and comfortable bus ride. Our bus driver and tour guide, Tiernan (spelling?), was quite phenomenal: professional, extremely knowledgeable, and highly entertaining.
Highly recommend!
the tour itenary was good. the bus was comfortable. however the driver/guide was wanting. he spent most of the time cracking off colour jokes and bragging about how he was a friend of hollywood stars and famous musicians-which would have been tolerable had he some knowledge of the the tour area and its history..--in which he was severely lacking and sometimes misinformed. for example he described the ancient tower at glendalough as a pagan structure where the pagans locked themselves up to protect them from their enemies, whereas the plaque at the monument says it was part of the monastery from where priest were summoned to prayer.he was also a bit disingenuous- in glendalough he warned us against going toward the upper lake saying we would get lost-probably to save on time, so we missed seeing the lake. that is simply unacceptable for a tour guide. he couldnt enlighten us about the history and background of the area were were travelling in.
in all the trip was satisfactory but your guide needs to be far more knowledgable about the area so that we can get the maximum from the tour.
We did the Cliffs of Moher day trip with Richard O'Brien and he was a fantastic guide! Very knowledgeable of all the areas that we went through on our way to the cliffs, and provided great stories along the way. Highly recommend this tour!
The tour was excellent and our guide was excellent and would highly recommend
Very great, we were in a minibus. Great guide. Would recommend.
Good tour, but not enough time in Kilkenny. Should maybe do Kilenny first as people were very hungry by the time we arrived at almost two pm.
The trip was lovely, except I wish there was more time either at the Burren or Bunratty. If you don't mind a whirl wind tour of the west of Ireland it is absolutely perfect for that and great value. Perhaps if one of the stops was removed and added to the other it would have given more opportunities to see the places for more than a quick photo op. If given the choice I would say more time at Bunratty as the Burren stop was full of other tour buses. It is hard to appreciate the stark beauty of the Burren when you're being elbowed out of the way by other tourists.
Thank you Lee for a wonderful time we had on the tour with you. You re a great tour guide. Wish you all the best :)
Our whole day was wonderful! Our driver Val was entertaining, engaging and knowledgeable about the history of Ireland! We learned a lot throughout the entire day and had just the right amount of stops. An overall fabulous experience!!
The tour was lovely, the driver funny and informative
We were really looking forward to seeing Blarney Castle, but we didn't expect to have this much fun! From the start at 8am, Frank - our tour guide - started sharing his immense knowledge with us. We learned so many different tidbits and interesting facts of Ireland and its history. If he quizzes you, be ready to answer that 86% of Ireland is Catholic, and 62% of them go to mass every Sunday, or that O'Connell Bridge is the only bridge in the world that is wider than it is longer. He called them useless facts, but now I'll never forget them!
Thanks Frank and Paddywagon Tours, we'll be sure to book other tours when we come back for a visit!
Cheapest tour I could find to Cliffs of Moher! Took us to many other interesting places in addition to the cliffs. Funny bus driver, who doubled as our tour guide. I also bought the ticket for my tour for the wrong day, but my bus driver still let me take the tour. Great tour!
We did the Cliffs of Moher tour - and it was great! The bus was very comfortable and clean, and our tour guide Lee was awesome! Highly recommend!
Excellent tour, the driver Dermot was a star, perfect day, thank uou
Funtastic experience, highly recommend if you wish to see Ireland in its beauty
My 2 daughters and I loved our 6 day Paddywagon Tour. Our Driver Brian was awesome, he was funny and very knowledgeable. He keep us informed about all stops and was very helpful with recommendations. The stops where well planned. The lodgings where clean, nice and located close to attractions, restaurants and popular pubs. Very highly recommend.
Amazing tour to the Cliffs of Moher with an awesome guide!
Great service for traveling around Ireland. The driver is a professional. A neat and excellent storyteller of various stories. The only thing that happened was the fog that came from the ocean and we could not see the cliffs of Moher. Just no luck with the weather.
I did not regret the money spent at all.
Our tours through Paddy Wagon were excellent and allowed for plenty of time for each spot. Our tour guides especially Lee was excellent and patient and did his best to ensure we were taken care of. I would recommend this company to anyone who's coming to Ireland and looking for an excellent tour company!
The 6 day tour was absolutely fantastic. I would highly recommend it. And Alex our driver was superb - very organised, knowledgeable, funny and kept us constantly entertained.
Our bus driver with his passion for Irish history and great sense of Irish humor made the trip exceptionally fun. Sights, sounds, scenic views and local food added to appreciate the country's resilience and warm hospitality. In the end we left feeling part of a family who loved and appreciated Ireland, its people and its natural beauty.
It was a great tour, well organised and we saw a lot. Our guide DJ was very knowledgeable too. Recommended!
Ring of Kerry 1 day tour
I took two tours with this company (with two different drivers), and both were great! Both of the drivers were friendly and knowledgeable, and when we stopped, they were very clear about how much time we had at a particular destination. I never felt rushed, and I really admired the drivers' enthusiasm. I found the sights breath-taking, and the tour was a great value overall. I would strongly recommend Paddywagon tours.
This tour was fabulous. Our busdriver/tourguide Paul kept us entertained during the long drive to Belfast, Carrick-a-Rede, and the Giant's Causeway. I learned a great deal about the history of Ireland, the "Troubles" and their origins, the Battle of the Boyne (as we drove over the Boyne River), and other wonderful snippets of information. He sang us some songs, told us some hilarious stories (which began fairly innocently but got progressively more unbelievable), and drove us gently to our destinations. He gave great advice on where to walk, where and what to eat, and where to take a bathroom break. The trip was well worth the cost, and I would do it again in a heartbeat. We were particularly fortunate that Paul had struck a deal with a Leprechaun "Seamus" (who he first me when he was six while collecting mushrooms) to provide us with utterly perfect weather. It was truly a spectacular trip.
It was a good Tour and the driver was fun througout the entire time. I wish I was able to spend a little more time in some of this paces.
Loved the stops that we made, everything was stunning. I really would have liked more time in Glendalough, I felt rushed and I was sprinting back to the bus at the end of the time given. Other than that I really enjoyed the fact that it was only a half day and we still got to see so much. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone wanting to experience the beauty if Ireland.
It was excellent,6 stars. it was a good idea to change the bus. The guide was wery good
We spent a wonderful day with our guide, Paul. Paul got us to the Blarney Castle quickly so we could be at the front of the lines and it worked out beautifully! Instead of having to stand in line for hours, we were able to maximize our time and see so much! We had lunch in a great pub and just enjoyed ourselves on the whole tour.
Did the Cliffs of Moher tour and thoroughly enjoyed the day. The planning and timing was excellent. The coach was clean and comfortable. Most importantly the guide DJ was funny, professional and knowledgeable.
First successful experience with Paddywagon! Despite the limited times on the excursions, which are sometimes really short, it is a good way to explore the essentials with explanations.
Despite the bad weather (thick fog covered most of the lake and islands so we couldn't see much) the trip was very enjoyable thanks to the friendly, funny guide Tiernan (hope I spelled it correctly).
We had two wonderful tours with Paddywagon! First I went with Darren to the Giant's Causeway and the next day with Gavin to the Cliffs of Moher. Booking the tours was quick and easy. The collection went smoothly and the two days were simply great and very well organized. The drivers are funny and in a good mood. They tell a lot of interesting facts, anecdotes, but also funny information apart from the "normal" tourist texts. We can recommend Paddywagon with a clear conscience and book the next tour again through this provider.
Thanks Darren and Gavin for your big irish hearts, you're amazing guys!
It was a great tour to the cliffs of moher and the tour guide Lee was fantastic. Thank you Lee!!!
Leigh was a great tour guide! I would definitely recommend paddywagon tours- especially if you can get Leigh as your guide.
My family was really fully satisfied. Excellent job, guys! Thank you.
Darren,
Was excellent, very accommodating, humorous and great with entire group! I would highly recommend this tour to Blarney!!
As usual, Paddywagon never fails to deliver. Brian was a great guide and the Blarney Castle, Cobh and Fota Wildlife Park were all fantastic!
Highly recommend a trip with Paddywagon. I had a friend over from USA and took a trip to Glendalough & Kilkenny. The driver/guide was very informative & funny
It was an excellent trip and the best part of the whole journey was our guide Val (Valentino), who drove us safely to our destination and with his great sense of humour, journey became all the more fun. Thankyou again Val and Paddywagon for this fun trip :)
I booked this tour very late at night and honestly did not know what to expect. It ended up being a great tour. More than I was expecting. Bailey was our guide. He did a great job. He gave me more history than I got on my other tours in Dublin. He bombed on his first 2 jokes but after that he got his mojo back.
I had to sing 2 songs in the bus because I got back a few min late. Despacito and then No woman no cry. Got put on the spot but I liked it.
It was a whole day tour to The Cliffs of Moher and it was worth every penny. This tour is a most if your ever in Ireland.
Highly recommended them.
Great job Bailey !
It was a fantastic day! I loved all the places! The driver was friendly - and even gave us traditional songs!
The "Cliffs of Moher" tour was absolutely appauling, the only reason I didn't rate this 1 star is because of the actual sights. The schedule is too tight there is no time to enjoy anything, we got bearly an hour to experience the Cliff's of Moher. We went to some fake touristy "Pub" which serve prison cantina style overpriced food. 90% of the Tour you will be in a bus stuck listening to bad jokes from a borderline racist bus driver who looks like Guy Fieri.
We had an excellent experience on the three day tour of southern Ireland July 5-7th !! Frank our driver and guide was a God send , truly ! We learned so much and felt like family :)
Beautiful places. Spectacular images. The launch breaks were extremely fast (15 minutes).
The guides were a lot of fun and we had a good amount of time at each place. I enjoyed it
Tour guide was very kind and friendly. The drive was long from Cork, which was to be expected, but the scenery was worth the whole trip.
I did the two day from Dublin to Cork, the Cliffs of Moher and back. Stay at the Kinlay Hostel. I couldn t have asked for better experience.
booked a 2 day tour to visit the cliffs of moher, collection point set for gardiner street at 8am, arrived at 7:30, waited until 9:30 no bus,had to contact uk office numerous times to find out whats happening, they asked me to wait until 9am for the local office to open which never happened then eventually offered me a full refund, never experienced a company as disorganised as this before, there should be an option for half a star for rating
We had a nice 1 day tour to Connemara NP and Galway, enough to have a glimpse of this beautiful part of Ireland. Our guide Josh was well versed and helping very nice.
Was on the giant's causeway tour with Val and he was so informative, cheerful and funny. His enthusiasm was infectious and brought a great energy to the coach and everyone on it. Give that man a raise! Lucy from Australia :)
The tour guide was knowledgable, the tour stuck to the itinerary, and it was an enjoyable day over all!
This was a great tour and I would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. Right amount of time on the bus and right amount of time at most of the attractions. And if you can get Val as your guide, you're going to have an outstanding day!
We were at Molly Malone at 7.40 for the Cliffs of Moher tour (pick up time 8.00). We checked in with Nivel from PaddyWagon Tours. He didnt call for us (4 people in my group + 4 other people we dont know) to get on the bus, and we missed it. When we called to speak with his manager, no manager was available and we were told we cannot get a refund for a trip we couldnt take because of Paddywagon Tours' fault. This company treats their customers like garbage and are the a very bad image for Ireland.
This was a very cool tour and I would recommend it to anyone.
Jack our tour guide and bus driver was very impressive with his detailed knowledge of Irish history. Myself and friend traveled upto Belfast (14/9/19 ) to visit the Titanic museum. We are not foreign tourists but Irish tourists and so we learned more from listening to Jack than we did in school.
Thank you for a wonderful tour and stopping at the various towns for us to visit.
We had a great tour !!! Finn is a very good guide!!!
This tour was so fun and our driver was very informative and funny!
We went on the 2-day Northern Ireland tour, overall we felt the trip was not worth the money. Hostel accommodations were by far the worst we had experienced in our travels (dirty rooms and shared spaces, old building, outside of city center)- even bed and breakfast individuals we traveled with were very unhappy with accommodations. Bus tour seems rushed and our driver even left 2 passengers behind (kept stating he had driving hour restrictions). We also felt the stops we made between destinations were uninteresting and a wast of time. Would not recommend Paddywagon tours to friends/family.
Tour was great, however would suggest just a bit more time in certain areas, such as Cong and Adare. Otherwise excellent way to see some of the best sights in Ireland.
We did the Ring of Kerry tour, our bus driver/tour guide was brilliant and gave us lots of facts and information the whole day on the tour! Would really recommend this tour beautiful scenery!
What a wonderful opportunity to cross the entire country in a day, see the countryside, the seaside and the westernmost edge of Europe and be back in time to have dinner and dancing in Dublin! Our driver John was the best!
I was guided by Fintan. He s caring, knowledgeable, professional, funny. Highly recommended
I was completely blown away by the Paddywagon tour. The B&Bs were great for not a lot extra, the stops were everything you want to see in Ireland, the cities were incredible. Paddywagon was organized and helpful; in fact the airline lost my luggage, and Paddywagon went completely above and beyond to make sure it still got to me, three cities out of Dublin. Also, our tour guide, Freddie, is simply the best; completely hilarious, a great driver, and kept us on schedule. I really did not want the tour to be over.
Very good way of seeing Ireland and very nice and helpful staff
We had a great day on the Cliffs of Moher Tour. The organization was perfect and our driver, John, was awesome!
I recommend.
My experience with Paddywaggon tours was excellent. Our driver, Freddie, was hilarious and knowledgeable at the same time! I was so sad to get off the bus on our last day. You should definitely tour Ireland with Paddywagon!
Driver was more concerned with his personal internet account than the paying customers on the bus. He made ONE stop for pictures outside of Cong. We stopped at Cong and Galway briefly with not enough time to actually sit down and eat. We drove through the Connemera Mountains and he didn't even stop so we could take pictures. The tour ended an hour and a half EARLIER than the time that was listed! A 15 minute stop in the Connemera Mountains and and extra half hour in Galway to eat still would have gotten us back to Dublin early! Won't waste my time or money on Paddywagon on future visits. Just an FYI... this was my 3rd time in Ireland and my 7th tour, first and last tour with Paddywagon. Hope your driver got his internet straightened out because it was more important apparently then your paying customers!
Amazing! Great route, nice places, that I couldn t find so easily but the best was Mr.T who was really funny and enjoyable to listen. It was better than I expected!
Amazing. And really fun, especially if you land with our driver.
Very good and organized, Amazing tour guide, made the trip much more fun
Funny tour guide, great stops along the way to the Cliffs of Moher, highly recommend for a good day trip from Dublin if you have the time.
Lovely tour with a small international crowd.
Our bus driver (Alan if I'm not wrong) has been really good craic too.
Just 4 stars out of 5 because we couldn't stop at the Rock of Cashel for more than a quick photograph. We've been told that the path to reach it has been flooded for a while.
Not a problem if would't be that there was no mention on the website, nor anybody talked about refunding the (little) amount of the ticket.
All in all a really nice experience for a reasonable price!
Great tour overall and Gavin, our tour guide, was the best! He had a lot of knowledge about the places we visited and he was hilarious. There were quite a few stops to and from the Cliffs which made the long drive seem not so long. We stopped at a cute farmers market in a small town, then another stop for lunch, the baby cliffs , the actual Cliffs and a castle on the way back. One suggestion would be to show up early for your time a lot, about 15-20 minutes early. These tour book up quick and you want to make sure you have a spot on the bus. Overall, the tour was awesome and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Dublin!!
Awful.
I don't understand how anyone could have enjoyed their time with this company. I hope that others aren't as naive as I and book the tour based off the claims on Paddy Wagon's website. Please read some of the reviews below and realize that this company's "tours" are complete rubbish and that they simply look to take your money. If for any reason they screw up and you miss your booking, good luck getting a refund as they will avoid your contact attempts, let alone refunding you, at all costs.
Trashy people, trashy business that doesn't deserve a cent.
Either book through one of the other tour companies or arrange to visit these sites on your own. Obviously the natural wonders of Ireland are beautiful. I wish I could say the same of Paddy Wagon Tours.
I'm sorry if this comes across as one of those overly-harsh, exaggerated reviews, but do trust that it's not. It takes a lot to get me angry, as I always try to practice understanding and level-headedness. However, I have been so thoroughly disrespected and scammed by this company that it has fostered within me a profound loathing for them.
Bottom line: DON'T BOOK WITH PADDY WAGON!
Wow! This tour far exceeded mine and my boyfriends expectations. Our bus driver/guide was so friendly, funny and knowledgeable about everything and anything we drove by. He didn t skip a beat when telling us stories and history. The views at the locations we went to (Carrick a rede bridge, Giants Causeway and more) were breathtaking. I would recommend this tour to everyone!
Going on the Paddywagon 6 day tour was amazing! I was travelling solo for the first time and the people were really helpful and friendly.
Freddie was an amazing host and bus driver, always ready to tell a story and we had good craic!
It was a great tour all around Ireland, a good mix of sites, history, fun and free time. I would recommend this tour for anyone who has not been to Ireland before, and for any solo travelers! Thanks Paddywagon :)
Wonderful tour with Aiden! He is full of Irish history and made the commentary interesting to listen to. We did 2 Tours the Cliffs of Moher and The Giants Causeway. We were lucky enough to have Aiden on both tours. They are long days on the bus but, well worth it. The weather went from raining in Dublin to snowing in the countryside and bright and beautiful at each of our destinations. We got very lucky
Not sure if it was because we only booked one of the half day tours but the bus they put us on was very outdated. It wasn't even branded like their other vehicles. The door was broken and had to be manually opened and the seats were super tight. Luckily, the tour was not full so we were able to spread out.
We took the half day tour to Wicklow. They stopped off at the Guiness Lake for a few pictures and the driver was gracious enough to take group pictures for us. Then he dropped us off at Glendalough. He actually gave very good directions for us to walk and see all of the sites. So I do give credit to the tour guide, just the transportation needs some updating, even on the the cheaper/shorter tours.
If you are looking for an authentic experience of the Potato Famine and enjoy homophobic humor, then by all means book this tour:
1. Booked online at Kennedy & Carr. I inadvertently double clicked and ended up getting...double billed. To be fair, a representative contacted me immediately. However, my refund took longer than I was told so I contacted my bank to dispute the charge. I ended up paying the international processing fee twice, which was not refunded. So if you really want to book using the website, be sure not to double click when you place your booking(?)
2. A part of the draw was the free airport shuttle (through Paddywagon). What they fail to mention is that they do not service all hotels and we were dumped in the middle of Dublin (which we had NEVER been to before) and told that our hotel was, "A half hour in that direction." Thankfully, and despite being a group of women lugging large suitcases in a strange city after a 7 hour flight - 1 with a neuromuscular disorder, another 60 years old- we decided to walk rather than cab it. Which worked out, our hotel was much closer than the driver said it was.
3. My mother left her coat on the airport shuttle. Not that I expect special treatment, but we weren't even given the option of having the driver have it on the bus for our subsequent tour, which would have been a nice gesture that would not have inconvenienced them.
4. Several special little snowflakes were late (must have been very, our bus left 10 minutes behind schedule) and insisted the bus turn around to get them. Our driver refused. And announced to our party that these people were late and that he was refusing to get them. Then proceeded to inform us of The Rules. Rule #1 - don't be late or you will get left behind. Rule #2 - no eating "hot" or "smelly" foods on his bus.
5. We were also told that there would be no stop for lunch. Mind you, this is an 11 hour tour. There was one 1/2 hour stop about an hour into the trip so that the driver could wait for the special little snowflakes, who were being driven in a minibus to our location. Now, the website does not say there is a lunch stop. However, one (mistakenly) assumes that there will be a reasonable meal stop or sufficient time at one of the sites for meals. But...no. It was either eat or see the sites. It would have been nice if there was some disclaimer on the website so that we could be prepared. Especially as the one non-site stop was before we had done any walking around, so we weren't hungry and since it was essentially a truck stop, our options were limited. Not to mention we didn't want to run afoul of the "hot" and "smelly" rule.
6. The driver twice made the same eye rollingly bad joke about Elton John being the Queen of England apropos of nothing. Like no context. At all.
7. K&C s website clearly indicates that we would have 2 hours at the Giant's Causeway. In fact, they GUARANTEE IT. IN CAPITAL LETTERS! GUARANTEED! We had...1.5 hours there. Which not only was NOT enough time to enjoy this site but apparently (as I was later informed by a rep when I brought up the lack of stops) you were supposed to use part of your 1.5 hours to eat.
We were so hungry by the end of the day that we used our whole hour in Belfast to eat and go to one gift store, since that was all we had time to do. The section we were dropped off in was in the middle of an upper scale shopping area with American fast food chains and not much more. So, despite my vow never to be an ugly American, I ate Burger King for dinner. Because that was all I had time to eat.
Better planning would have given us a later arrival time back in Dublin. In fact, Kennedy and Carr's site does indicate that you will be back at 8:30 pm. Had that been the plan, rather than the 7:30 pm return that we had, there would have been sufficient time to enjoy the sites AND eat.
We had a much better tour with Extreme Ireland Adventures. Book with them (and ask for Barry!)
Paddywagon tours are my FAVORITE in Ireland! I would recommend them to anyone and already have! The tour guides are so funny and have the best stories, Val was fantastic!
This was an awesome tour! Our driver was very knowledgeable and very funny. We had great weather overall. The scenery stunning! The Titanic experience was awesome and we went with the "black cab" option in Belfast which was very informative. Overall a great trip - would definitely recommend it!
Fantastic tour with an amazing and knowledgeable guide (Tiernan). Would highly recommend.
My trip from Dublin to Giant's Causeway is one of the memorable trips. Although it is one day tour, but the trip covers some major viewpoints and tourist attractions. The driver and guide, Paul, narrates the stories in very interesting manner and keeps the trip very lively throughout.
