Came with Son in a school visit. In spite that some of the disolays are outdated or non functional, it is a great place for learning; would recommend being prepared to have to explain some of the stuff to the kids. The laser show is the best of the whole place... OB-1, the guy running it rules
This was one of the best science centers we have been to. We spent over four hours here. There was so much to explore and do. Highly recommended!
Great kid friendly place. Imax theatre. Only reason its not 5 stars is because they rarely ever change their exhibits. (The butterflys are a must see)
We had a great time. To really enjoy your visit you will need to spend some time. The Terracotta Wariors were amazing to learn about.
Always a great place to bring kids for hands on learning. Tests the adult mind too! Keeps us Sharp! Always have that "huh!" Moment
i haven t actually visited in several years... such an improvement from the last time I was here!
Tons of stuff to do. Planetarium show was good with a very knowledgeable presenter. Had virtual reality goggle while we were there.
Grate other then one staff member that was very mean. Other then that grate
Loved this place since I was a kid, still amazes me
Learning center for 5-9 year old kids. Proper information is depicted next to activities.
My son (2 yo) enjoys this, but the exhibits are very dated and some do not work. The hand sanitizer stations are always broken, and the water in the tide pool was very dirty. Not very impressed overall.
Check out the Lego exhibit while it's here! It leaves in September or so.
Been going for 40 years - more with my kids - always fun.
It took my kids tub Pacific science center it's been about 3 hours there was a great time Katie the presenter at the planetarium was great with all the kids definitely will return again.
Great meusem for the family featuring art, technology, and prehistoric exhibits separating them by different sections and stories. Extremely interactive, "hands on" is encouraged. As you first enter, the first portion of the building features everything from static electricity to gravity and the mechanics of momentum. The outside can be reached once you get to the top story. Once outside, you will find yourself in a large courtyard surrounded by buildings. Each building has its own exhibits. The court yard features large water cannons where kids can shoot at moving water mills and other sorts of mechanical moving parts. From here you can visit any exhibit you wish. One of them focuses in Virtual Reality. Pretty cool and interesting stuff. An other one features prehistoric models of dinosaurs. One more exhibit features simple musical instruments and the utility of air and sound. There is planetary section and also a section with live moles in a controlled environment. So much to see here. At least 4 hours to see and interact with everything. Highly recommended. Follow me and my adventures ig: @Sin_Aguayo fb: sin Aguayo
Amazing! Very family friendly. Lots of exhibits on a variety of topics!!!
A little expensive for the 3 of its. With parking it was $85. Butterfly garden was the best part
This place would be better for kids than adults, it's a bit dated and didn't seem to have any non-kid exhibits truly about science. There are two separate IMAX theaters with interesting films.
Lots of fun with my 3 year old, will just get better as she gets older. Bring your own food or plan on leaving and coming back. The small cafe has snacks and does have some sandwiches/pizza but it's pretty basic and of course expensive for what you get. It more like a quick mart than a cafe. There are plenty of tables that you can eat your own food on there.
Nice family place. Good for 3+ years old kids. For adults could a bit boring, however the IMAX helps.
Loved this place as a kid and now love taking my kids here!
A lot of the animotronics were under maintenance when me and my family went, Other than that it was a pleasant experience.
This place is so big and so much fun kids loved it nice butterfly room
Real fun with friendly people. It s a great place for kids to learn and be curious.
I would prefer more advanced and cohesive topics. Some of it seemed random, like it was just whatever they could find. Maybe 20% was in bad repair and didn't work. Good quantity, though. Takes 2-2.5 hours or so.
Wasn t as much as I thought there be. But not bad. Tom at the salt water ride pool is my favorite.
We love the PSC! If you can find street parking, go for it...that will save you some money. Otherwise, they have a close parking structure with set prices per hour. My kids love it there!
Not so good as San Francisco science center, but still very next nice
So much hands-on fun! Don't miss the planetarium exhibit, it's included free with admission.
Show up early to get free tickets to planetarium. About 3 hours to see everything
I went there when I was in third grade just last year with the school Centennial Elementary.
Was clean easy to get to and my grandkids loved it. Easy for them to enjoy
We love coming here, they have so much for young children to enjoy. We will be back!
It's mostly for children, beautiful for them.
If you are a tourist and you buy the CityPass, choose the garden.
Lots to explore. IMAX, laser shows, planetarium, lots of hands on exhibits.
Love it. Great for kids and adults. The hands-on, interactive way the science center's set up is an engaging and fun style that educates people about an array of fascinating topics. It's an evolving center, so if you only visit it every couple of years, there will be something new every time.
Bring your kids!! You'll love they will love it. Try coming on a sunny day. So much for them to do and for adults
I grew up loving museums, so even though I'm now an adult, I was excited to see what PSC had to offer. With how many buildings there are and how large the center is, I went in thinking and expecting there to be much more than there actually is. While there were some interesting things to see, for the most part it seems pretty empty. Many of the exhibits are dated (dinosaur exhibit and the space exhibit, especially) and a few were in states of repair (poor dinosaur has a broken neck!). The dinosaur + space parts of the museum have some interesting information but are on the small side.
While I can't help but feel it would be great for very young children + their families, as someone who grew up with museums that were packed full of stuff to see and do and learn, this didn't quite live up to what I expected after seeing so many rave reviews. I am not sure exactly what it was that I was expecting but it was certainly more than what's inside, especially when you are paying as much as you are for a ticket.
The people that I ran into that worked there were nice and seemed to enjoy what they do (especially the man that was doing a little informative show/experiment for some children). They are doing repairs on the broken exhibits, and the VR exhibit seems like it could be really neat, but right now is a little lacking overall. If you're going to see anything here the butterfly exhibit is on the small side but is very beautiful and I would recommend it.
However it was very sad to see some of the animals kept in the exhibits they were in - I would like to think that they would only be in these cages during the time that the center is open but some of the animals just seemed unhappy.
It only took an hour or so for us to walk through all of the buildings at a slower pace and read some of the information.
The outside of the center is gorgeous with all of the water, sculptures, and plants, and that was very enjoyable to walk around in. The inside of the building though, I hate to say, more than kind of let me down. It may be worth it to come back in the future if things are repaired/updated and exhibits are added on or expanded, but as of right now I must sadly say it is not.
Really need to update and fix the exhibits.to much focus on IMAX.
It was cool. Definitely geared more towards kids. The butterfly exhibit was beautiful.
Another great day at the Science Center. Sherlock Holmes exhibit was great as was the 3d Imax on Butterflies. Spend the day and walk down to Pike street for lunch.
Always enjoyed visiting as a kid with my parents and Granny. I still enjoy bringing my Daughter. So much to do and see.
We enjoyed the IMAX movie - Mysteries of China and the Terra Cotta Warriors exhibit. Suggest you see the movie before the exhibit. Also ah fun strolling through the permanent exhibits.
I love the Pacific Science Center! Great Place for kids, awesome for school field trips, and an awesome place to teach kids about science!
The dinosaur museum was one of the good attractions here
We loved every minute here. We came on a weekday, midday and it was not busy at all. All employees through the center were extremely friendly and helpful.
We always enjoy the science center, there's so much to see every time, it never gets old.
Amazing place for kids. The butterfly garden is better then the one at woodland zoo!!!
At first we were unimpressed by the small room that we entered, thinking "Science world in Vancouver is way bigger than this." Then we realized we had only seen one of the four buildings. Lots of interactive exhibits and fun things to do. The butterfly room was amazing. Lots of friendly butterflies in a tropical feeling room made a wintery day warm. They also have a neat fluid dynamics table tucked in a stairwell that was mesmerizing. Highly recommended. If you are local consider the family pass, it saves a bunch of money if you go more than once.
Great science center! Tyler and I enjoyed our time here. We will be back with our 9 year old son!
The place is great and full of information, with fun things to do and see. The location is also optimal for visiting the Space Needle and have a quick bite to eat. The problem that I have with the museum is that the price is too much. You should save your money and go to another that costs less. You will get more for your money.
Lots of fun for the family. The butterfly house and touching tide pool are the best. But my very favorite is the dinosaur room. Super cool.
I loved it, it is an excellent place for children who always have questions, besides children can play with everything with absolute freedom, learn while playing, I recommend it a lot, tickets can be purchased from the website in package with the neddle and the Monoriel and the price goes down a bit
So expensive. $97 for 2 adults and 3 kids. Exhibits all worked, fun and educational, clean restrooms. It's a bit spread out with some dead ends so having an easy flow wasn't happening. Kids aged 1 to 12 all had a great time, though, and so did the adults.
I took my 2 kids here (18 months and 9 years old) and they loved it! So much to do and see. My 18 month old attempts to get into everything. Fortunately, the science center is 75% baby proof. As a scientist, I appreciated how each exhibit was not only made to have fun, but learn something too. Be sure and get your FREE PLANETARIUM tickets when you enter. Don't be late, they won't open the door for you.
Love the laser dome, but it would be nice if they could heat it better. It's freezing in there in the middle of winter! Most people had to leave their parkas on.
Great place for kids and family alike to learn new and exciting things
Is the best movie theater. I have amazing time with my granddaughters husband and kids. THANK YOU!!!
Great for kids. We saw the lego exhibit. Very nice
Fun half day trip. The butterfly room is beautiful!
Such a nice place to enjoy and learn. Good for all ages. I loved the documentaries at IMAX Pacific Center.
