Plenty of good shows and a nice cozy atmosphere. It is definitely a good place to enjoy entertainment in Ithaca. I am sure at some point there will be something going on there you will want to see.

Xanadu was amazing!! Cast was extremely talented and we are fortunate to have them in our little town. Theatre is cozy and friendly but you are very close to stage so if you don't want to be close to the action sit in the back rows. Good venue and fun place to see a show!

I was here for a middle school production so it wasn't The Hangar actors. The facility itself was c incurable, every seat is a good seat and you feel close to the action. Stadium seating maximizes seating space.

Loved this small intimate theatre. The seats were very comfortable. Plus I saw In the Heights which was the best play I've seen in a long time. I work at another theatre, so that's saying a lot.

The artistic direction at this theatre is top notch. They do a lot to uplift the standard of what local theatre in Ithaca can be. The venue is clean and professionally maintained with a pleasing aesthetic, and there is enough seating for a large crowd without ever feeling disconnected from the stage. Bravo!

Off Broadway level production values, great combination of crowd pleasers and new/challenging theater. Lovely and recently renovated. Only complaint is that the season is only during the summer, the rest of the year is small musical tours and some cabaret.

My 7 year old daughter loves the children series. They have audience participation and and are super friendly and inviting in a cozy atmosphere. Bring a sweater as the theater is kept cool.

Great hometown theater, have seen opera, and children's plays there. AC in the summer and heat in the winter. Do not worry about being too hot or too cold. There is no bad seat in the house. Even in last/top row, you are still very close to the stage. Seats are comfortable. Reasonable cost for tickets, there is a cost if you hold a baby on your lap. Just be for-warned, there is a cost for you, for your child, AND for the baby sitting in your lap. Children's shows on Thur/Fri/Sat are typically just under an hour long. 50-55min.

Saw Phantom Tollbooth with my grandchildren- FREE thanks to CFCU! GREAT performance! I was really impressed with how they condensed the book into a play short enough to keep the attention of small children.

Nice venue to see a smaller show, with pleasant staff and clean accommodations overall. I was there to see a spoken word show put on by DSP. The seats are a bit short on leg room for my liking (especially for a 2+ hour show) and anyone taller than 6' may not be very comfortable here. The theatre also became quite hot and stuff during the show with a lack of attention to proper ventilation and airflow.

First time here. Great small theater. It felt like I was at a TV studio. Nice and comfortable seats, friendly staff, and decent bar as well. Parking lot is rather on the small size. So arrive early! But overall a great experience.

The Hangar Theater has a great tradition of having good theater in a intimate, modern venue. Prices are very reasonable for quality theater The theater has plays and music throughout the year!

A really nice theater, sort of amphitheatre style. There was a bar which is good. I think there should have been at least one more person working the bar and I think the box office or where you show your tickets should be a little more streamlined because of the set up where bar and bathroom is. But all in all very enjoyable.

Great venue! Been here for an intimate concert and also a play. Both were phenomenal! The theater isn't humongous, but also you don't feel claustrophobic. A great size very comfortable and very accommodating. Productions here are done with a lot of consideration and heart!

I ve visited the Hanger Theatre for concerts produced by Dan Smalls Presents. The venue is small and intimate though a little sterile. We had great seats and I had no complaints about the sound. There is a snack bar but very few places to sit. It was crowded an a little uncomfortable waiting for the doors to open. The Hanger also has a theater company and every season they have interesting selections at least one or two that are kid friendly.
