I was on my way to OTEC bikes on 13th July when dismounting the bike I fell off cracking a upper rib. I also had a puncture, I managed to get to the shop. I was in some pain and a little shocked. I explained my dilemma to Lee who sat me down and arranged for some tea. The purpose of the visit was to have an E bike battery tested. As I had come some distance Lee lent me some money for a taxi he had arranged to get me to the nearest railway station. I was very grateful for the help I received.

Really excellent - I needed an inner tube to replace an inferior quality one from a well known chain store bike supplier. Lee had exactly what I needed, top quality brand, and it was less than I'd paid for the old one which had failed. Helpful, happy people !!

Please buy from a friendly local business like OTEC. Our local businesses pay their fair share of tax, unlike some online vendors.

The only place to use in Bucks for bike repairs, great friendly service and honest prices, and staff thanks guys.

I had a faulty helmet and Lee went out of his way to help me. He contacted the manufacturer on my behalf and got them to send a new one.

This is a really great bike shop! They always put the customer first.

Great service and expertise. My Brompton was badly damaged (by another shop) and OTEC were able to remove a badly damaged bolt (which several shops couldn't fix; including Brompton's own).
It also helps that they are friendly and make customers feel incredibly welcome.

Brought my trek bike to these guys to get it serviced after having some gearing and chain problems. They were really knowledgeable and knew exactly what was wrong with my bike. When I picked up the bike after it had been serviced, they explained to me that the new chain and parts that were fitted will need to be worn in and maybe readjusted after a few rides. Just as they said, a week later the gears needed adjusting which took them literally 30 seconds to do and it was back running like new. The guys through the whole process were super friendly and gave me some great advice on how to keep my bike at its best. The best customer experience I ve had in any shop, period. If you live within a 100 miles radius of these guys and need work doing to your bike I can t recommend them enough they are well worth the trip.

Oh also they have a amazing dog in the shop that will welcome you as you walk in and just made the experience that much better.

Asked me to bring the bike in to sort the gears sometime during the week, when I got there they did it there and then. Fantastic service, will definitely go back.

The OTEC guys are the best. Lee is one of the most genuine people I've met in the biking world. He and Sam are always trying to improve their business, ask for feedback, and create and incredible customer experience. Their prices are more than fair and they will go the extra mile to take care of you. I rented from OTEC and coming from the states I was unfamiliar with the area. They spent 30 min going through local trails with me to help me enjoy myself.

A great local traditional bike shop, Lee the owner is always good for some advice and assistance. The shop looks after the local cycling community as well by running various ride outs and social evenings. Definitely worth a visit even to say hi to Barney the trail dog.

I came in in lockdown with a whyte 801 hardtail with a broken hub and drive chain the explained to me how it happened and what to do in the future, they told me that it would take a long time to get the parts but they said if you wait a bit longer we can get the parts cheaper saving me 150 pounds. The service was excellent and they kept me updated on the matter. now I look forward to getting a full service on orange 5 in the winter.

If you need a bike, don't go anywhere else. I found this place on Google, as I needed to hire a bike, having been to two other places first that were dreadful & depressing. From the moment I called ahead to my arrival approximately 7 mins later, thanks to Lee's questions based on his clear expertise, they had already started building me a bike based on the information I gave on the phone. As a novice, about to participate in my first Triathlon I arrived nervous and anxious but Lee put me at ease and most importantly, found me a bike that specifically suited my needs and that I feel comfortable with. I had to kiss two bike shop frogs before finding Otec Bikes but the Prince was worth waiting for! The service is friendly, efficient and honestly genuine. I hold service in the highest regard and I can't recommend this place enough. What a lovely experience. Thank you Lee & Sam. I may well graduate from novice faster than I thought now.

I had only few loose spokes on my wheel and I wanted to buy spoke key, unfortunately you didn't had one. So I've only asked to tighten the spokes up, so it would take literally a minute or two to do it ,but instead you were explaining to me for few minutes why you can't do it , I understand that you are busy and all and I arrived 25min before closing , but come on, two minute job!!! Aston hill bike park is only 6min away, so it's great location if you need any spares or quick fix, but I won't be coming back, because I left with disappointment. I went to other local bike shop, bought a spoke key and fixed my wheel under a minute. Maybe you guys are doing a good job on a daily basis and you are passionate about it, but not in my experience, sorry.

Nice chaps to deal with. I went in for a kids shotgun seat and he was probably the only one who had one in stock. I noticed he had some great service equipment around so my next visit will be for a full service on my cube stereo full suspension MTB.

Brilliant service and excellent quality bikes. We hired 8 e-bikes for a scavenger hunt around the Chilterns. A lot of fun and massive credit to the guys at Otec for sourcing 8 of them and getting them delivered on time. Would recommend!

I needed to get new bearings fitted to my front wheel and my rear tightened and these guys were awesome from start to finish from a simple phone call to find out if they had grease and bearings as I was going to attempt it myself to them offering for me to take my wheels down have a coffee while they do it for me. Now that s customer service and all this done with a smile and lots of enthusiasm. Thank you guys for your 5star service.

Great shop run by some great guys who really know what they are talking about. Had a custom bike fit which improved my efficiency substantially, and also a day's 1-1 road cycling coaching with Lee which was tremendous. Highly recommended...!

I had phoned them before and visited to collect two of 300mm spokes to replace one on old classic 28inch wheel, french made Sachs hubs and dutch made Rigida rims, from the bike I currently restoring.I took the rear wheel with me for reference only as the guy said on the phone he may not have the right size but can make them on the site.

Reasonable prices compared to on-line but OTEC provides service & advice second to none.
Nothing is too much trouble for Lee & the team.

Popped in 15 Aug 19 due to my chain jumping and gears acting erratically. Unexpectedly, the team looked at my bike straight away and after some quick adjustments; i was back on my way. They even pumped up my tyres. All of this, at zero cost. Honestly, their service never fails to impress me. Don't bother shopping around; just listen to the reviews and get yourself down there.

Really pleased with the service - had a bike fit and the changes (plus some other factors!) contributed to me taking over 2 hours off my Ride London time. Had tri bars fitted by Lee and subsequently came first in age-group at my next triathlon. Of course there are many other factors at play but the advice and service at OTEC bikes has definitely contributed to my cycling success this year!

I came to Otec to get my bike built and custom fitted- and despite being under time pressure Lee and his team made it possible. He is outstanding in his field, unique in the area- and also a lovely person to deal with. 5 Stars!

Edit: Lee and team did a full overhaul on my bike in late feb 2019 and I took it out for the seasons first ride yesterday. These guys know what they are doing. My bike has never been this fast before!! So pleased with everything. Great service, great attitude.

Lee and his team really know their stuff and their service ethic is spot on. We discovered a puncture on my wife's bike the day before a Triathlon. This was fixed, the saddle changed, and gears and brakes all tweaked within an hour - not the first time this level of service has been provided. Thoroughly recommended!
